"Not bad" Akatsuki said checking out the girls cars.
"Thanks dad, it wasn't easy maintaining them" Yang said
"I can tell, the engine in Bl;ake's Mazda is a newer one than the style of car. I take it blew" Akatsuki said
"Yeah" Blake admitted
"Street Racing?" Akatsuki knowingly asked
"Yeah" Yang said making Ruby a bit
"so how long have you girls been racing?" Akatsuki asked wanti9ng to know how long he's daughters were doing this high speed activity. At this point Zwei wondered out and flopped down by Blake's feet and fell asleep
"Why does he do that?" Blake irritated asked
"Don't know; he's usually slumping with Ruby or Yang. Guess because you're their friend" Akatsuki chuckled.
"Um" Blake started as Zwei looked at her "Good...boy?" she asked as Zwei yipped and fell back asleep
"See no need to be nervous" Yang smiled.
"Yang, did you ever think the reason Blake feels uncomfortable is because of her Faunus traits, I'm not bagging them; I've got a couple of Faunus on my dig team, one of them is a Bat Faunus who uses a type of echolocation to search out discoveries. So Blake's uneasiness is the fault of her cat Faunus genes" Akatsuki explained.
"Oh, sorry Blake" Yang said
"It's alright, I've kind of gotten use to the little guy" Blake smiled petting Zwei.
Mercury and Emerald were outside Vale General hospital.
"Are you sure about this?" Mercury asked
"Yes I am, after all she's their mother and they will try and get her back. We then exchange Dr Rose for Neo; who?" Emerald replied
"Got taken in custody by the cops!' Mercury said
"Good boy Mercury, you're not a clueless mercenary after all" Emerald said
"Bitch" Mercury grunted
"Heard that" Emerald said in an almost snarl. "Come on"
"Alright" Mercury groaned following Emerald.
Summer was helping in Vale General while she was there in favour to the doctor who helped Ruby with her illness when Emerald and Mercury walked in no chalant
"We're looking for a Doctor Rose" Emerald said as Mercury looked around
"Yes?" Summer asked as she approached the two racers.
"Maybe you can help us with a little something" Emerald said going for something behind her back when
"Aunt Summer" Skyler said smiling hugging her aunt
"Hello Skyler, where's Qrow?" Summer asked
"Hey Summie" Qrow laughed
'Shit!' the racers said as the Blacktop Crow was there not even a meter away from them
'Now what?" Mercury asked.
"Who knows, but right now I don't want to be anywhere near the cops" Emerald said quietly backing up. However they were noticed by Skyler
"Hold it you two" Skyler said as her hand went to her gun hidden under her jacket.
"Busted" Emerald groaned before Mercury attacked Skyler. Which was blocked by Qrow while attacked Emerald
"Summer get to cover" Qrow said before blocking Emerald's attack. While Skyler was handling Mercury.
"Yeah forget that" Summer said grabbing a metal bedpan and slamming it on Mercury's head before shoving it into Emerald's face shocking them both.
"Why did?" Qrow asked noticing the stunned criminals.
"You think this is my first hostage rodeo?" Summer asked dropping the bedpan while grabbing the officer's handcuffs and taking teh stunned racers to a pillar and handcuffing them so they couldn't get away.
"Still that was stupidly dangerous Summer" Qrow huffed
"I know, but I wasn't about to have my big brother have all the fun now" she said walking off.
"Come let's get these two to jail" Qrow said releasing them and recuffing them so they could be taken out to the police cruisers outside. "Hey, my place tomorrow for a barbecue okay?" Qrow asked
"I'll be there" Summer said waving behind her.
"So now three of your people have been captured" Cinder said angry. Roman was of course cowering behind a table.
"So this is a little setback" Roman gulped.
"A Little setback is not what this is, THIS is a MAJOR SETBACK!" Cinder shouted.
"I'll get them back" Roman grovelled
"The Cardinals, Neo, Emerald, Mercury and Melanie. All you have left is NO ONE!" Cinder shouted.
"That's not true, we have Xiong's thugs" Roman said
"Those incompetent idiots" Cinder said
"Now, now, now they've all we got at the moment" Roman said recoiling back.
"At least we have a plan to get out Emerald and Mercury; but Neo's a bit tougher" Roman said "Rumours are she's already been shipped off somewhere I don't knwo where though" Roman said
"Well then FIND HER" Cinder roared before slinking out "Militia come"
"Yes ma'am" Militia said
"Junior give me a bloody whiskey" Roman said "I'm getting absolutely drunk while she busts out her goons"
"Aren't they yours?" Junior asked
"Nope they were brought in by Cinder, Neo was my only choice" Roman said.
"Okay so how are you going to get her back?" Junior asked
"Not sure, hit me again" Roman said.
"Summer I thought you wouldn't do anything stupid like that again" Akatsuki said sighing
"I reacted sorry" Summer said stirring some pasta while watching Blake play with Zwei "She's quickly warmed up to him"
"I agree" Akatsuki said "never thought that she would be like that after meeting the little guy yesterday" Akatsuki said rubbing his wife's arms a bit to relax her.
"I'm glad Ruby and Yang has a good friend" Summer smiled
"I agree, did you know they're into street racing?" Akatsuki said
"They're what?" Summer asked.
"YANG XIAO LONG AND RUBY SCARLET ROSE GET YOUR BUTTS HERE RIGHT NOW YOUNG LADIES!" Summer bellowed
"What did we do now?" Ruby asked
"Not sure, unless...Oh crap" Yang said
"Yang?" Ruby asked.
"We're busted" Yang stated
"Busted doing what...you think mum knows?"
"No doubt and I'm betting I know who told her " Yang said as the two sisters entered the kitchen.
"So Yang, Ruby would you two like to tell me what you've been doing in your spare time?" Summer asked
"Fixing Cars, Engine checks. Road trips" Yang listed off
"Barbecues, friendly get togethers, what else. Oh school!" Ruby cheered
"did you just say school as an activity Rubes?" Yang asked raising an eyebrow.
"Well we do" Ruby said
"So you're around cars allot ever raced them?" Summer asked.
"We...do; look we're street racers alright; I was against Ruby becoming one, but she bested one of the top racers" Yang said
"We're sorry" Ruby looked downcast
"Like Father like Daughters" Summer said "You're father was just the same, him Qrow, Jet, Geist and Tuck they were some of the best street racers back in our day; and they all made sure it was safe and clean. I take it Qrow is the one who keeps an eye on things and lets people off with a warning just like your grandfather did" Summer said before looking up "I know it seems like an harsh on you. But I'm just worried for you after all Ruby did go missing for a week. Yes Qrow told don't look so surprised, so you girls can still race but just be careful alright?" Summer asked hugging her daughters
"You're letting us off easy?" Ruby hoped
"Oh no, until we go home you're grounded. That includes you as well Blake; no racing for three days alright?" Summer glared
"Okay" Ruby and Yang said.
"Good girls and your dad will be driving to school for two days" Summer said
"Shit" Yang hissed
"And Yang soap mouth young lady" Summer said making Ruby giggling
"Quiet you" Yang groaned.
