Previously on Digimon Tamers: Unity...

Suzie: After encountering the Tiddlik at the ranch, Ellin pleaded with the council of elders to let her go on the Spirit Walk to ensure Morticai's innocence and stop the monster. It's a big order, and I'm scared for her. We can't go with her and she told me she's terrified. How can I help my bestie when I can't actually do anything? Ugh, totally frustrating!

Episode 12: The Spirit Walk

Dum...Dum...Dum...

Dum...Dum...

Dum...

Ellin opened her eyes, looking straight up. To her surprise, she saw nothing. It was complete darkness. She sat herself up from the ground she was questionably laying on, back flat, head at rest and arms spread out eagle like. What was going on she asked herself. Thinking back...she felt milky and odd like she was being sucked through a straw and pushed out through pressure, it made her head throb in pain.

The Aussie recounted her actions; it was the ceremony and she was ready to begin. The elders were waiting outside of the community center and she hugged her uncle before heading inside. She assured Suzie and all the others she would be fine and come back in one piece. Dressed in a simple white gown and covered in inks depicting the shells, sea, and wishing stars, she had surprised the group by how feminine and beautiful her appearance was. Gold bracelets dangled her mocha wrists and ivory flowers decorated her dark blue hair. She saw Jun suck in a breath and want to saw something, but she was nervous and ignored him. Without wasting time, she went straight to Elder Bindi who was behind the door. She took one last look at the group. Crocomon gave a wave and grin. Deep breath, she thought. Then, she went in.

Inside it was dark and filled with the smell of sage, tobacco, and mirth. Windows were blocked and the only source of light was tiny candles oozing wax. A select group was in the one side slowly tapping the drums in a tense rhythm. Every step Ellin took, the drums rang.

Dum...Dum...Dum...

She saw Elder Bindi in a umber cloak and carrying her stick. She was glowing a hue of fire, and she thought she saw a fiery whisp dance around her body. Ellin felt nervous and by the time she arrived at her elder, she could only bow and kneel, head tipped to the ground.

Dum...

"State your name." Elder Bindi spoke in Guugu Yumithirr.

"Ellin Akuna Ondoima, daughter of Koa and Meridah. Sister of Morticai and daughter of the sea and wishing stars." she replied in the same language.

Dum...

"Today, you are to embark on a Spirit Walk in the Dreaming. The land of the spirits are connected to us and our tribe where we seek our adult and our inner truths. There are evil spirits that will tempt you and guide you falsely. You may be hurt, you may die."

Ellin did her best not to shake, but her body was refusing her mind's will. A smoky essence filled her nostrils.

"Do you understand my Wishing Star?"

Dum. Dum. Dum.

"Yes."

"You must also make an oath to never speak of your journey to anyone living. It is forbidden. If found, you will be cast out of the people and blemish the name of Ondoima-risking an eternal curse. Do you understand?"

"Yes."

Ellin felt her heart clutch. No one can know what happened and she realized how awkward of a position her brother was in. A sad look in Bindi's eye told the Tamer that she understood the circumstances her brother was put in. But, there was little that could be done. An oath is an oath. In Aboriginal groups, oaths were taken to the utmost importance. They had to be fulfilled, no matter what the cost.

The Tamer was guided to a blanket and laid down. She felt ash spread on her forearms and face, creating a light and dizzy feeling in her body. A few women who were laying her on the matt and they chanted in the language. Between the scents, the flickering candles, and the drums her senses were staring to dull and become foggy. Her eyes fluttered.

Dum. Dum. Dum.

"Your spirit totem will come to you soon. The ritual has begun. When the drums strike three again loudly, you will be brought back to this spot no matter where you are in our land. Remember your task..."

Then, Ellin was here in this endless darkness.. She was not wearing anything but for some reason it didn't bother her. Shame and guilt were non-existent on this plane she was in. She reached a hand out and called out,

"Hello?"

A single drop of light fell and splashed everywhere, filling the void with sounds and colour. Sandy browns filled her feet and the ground. The sky was becoming blue and so bright she had to shield her eyes. A flicker of sound alerted her to the fact she was on a beach. Not just any beach, but one she visited frequently as a child. There were a cluster of cliffs off to the side she would dive off of. A few coral pools with minos and select aquatic life she would poke and tease. Vegetation was behind her with a path that lead straight to Hopevale and Ondoima Ranch. She turned back to the ocean. Water drifted in and out, like the steady breath. Rolling in white foams, she could see sea shells beneath and had the urge to pick one up. A conch, pink and white on the inside found her hands and she gave it a listen.

"Mate, you have an odd mind."

Ellin jumped, knowing who that voice belonged to. Turning around, Crocomon stood there giving a toothy grin. His form was odd, almost floating mist and not completely solid. He also wasn't wearing the tooth necklace she gave to him as a child. She reached a hand.

"Are you real, Crocomon?"

He shrugged.

"Are any of us real?"

"Knock it off-are you my Crocomon?" Ellin growled. The waves crashed harder on her legs and clouds loomed on the horizon. Thunder echoed far in the distance. The digimon's amber eyes relaxed and he floated in the air.

"I am your totem. A representation of your spirit-a guide if you will. You know Crocomon so well that I have become him to ease you."

"So...he's not really here." she frowned.

"I am here. I know you better than you know yourself in some ways. It is my duty to guide you to the goal. Do you remember what it was?"

"I..." Ellin shifted herself. Was she really going to face that monster? The memory of seeing it at the farm was terrifying enough. "I am going to face the Tiddlik. Defeat it and save my village and my brother."

Crocomon whistled.

"That's a tall order, mate. Do you think you're up for the challenge?"

"I don't have a choice. I either face it and save everyone-or I don't. How do I find it?"

"I have not the faintest idea."

Ellin scanned her surroundings more. It wasn't an ordinary beach she realized. If she focused in on the clouds, they became animated and depicted various creatures doing their business such as a kangaroo finding it's tail. Another was a long rainbow snake eating the world on it's back. The ocean contained whispers of long forgotten tongues and legends that even Ellin herself couldn't understand.

"What is this place?"

Crocomon clicked his tongue.

"It's hard to put into ordinary words. The place where all is taken, where all memory of tongue and creation are stored. Spirits arise and fall here and phenomenon unexplainable dwell in the corners of this place. You call it The Dreaming. It carries old stories that old and young tell to others in sacred rites of passage. From the wives tales that depict what women do when they marry to when an elder is passing on from the material world. It is a archive that connects all of us earth children to the land, sea, and sky."

"So...it's another plane of existence?" Ellin struggled to follow along.

"Can be. Normally no one can come here but on a Spirit Walk, you are permitted. Mind, when you come back your memories are jumbled so you won't remember much."

The waves brought some furniture of Ellin's bedroom to the shore. They rocked back and forth with the waves, not finding any trouble staying afloat. A bed rocked to its side and the dresser smashed against it. She touched it gingerly.

"Do I see spirits here?"

"Of course. The further in you walk."

Ellin walked past the furniture and waded into the water more. The ocean sky became brighter and the warm water comforted her. She took a breath and dove in, looking deep into the sands. Shells decorated the ocean floor and seaweed bunched up around her. Crocomon dove in behind her and she found something very interesting. A door. She didn't hesitate and opened it.

She swam through the doorway and landed on her side as the world turned upside down. She was on dry land, a sanctuary of some sort that held ancient statues that were decaying. moss covered the ground, and digital pixels floated around. In the center cross legged was a yellow fox digimon that the Aussie knew all too well. The digimon seemed to be meditating.

"Renamon?"

The vulpine cracked an eye open and stood up. She did not seem surprised but had a tense look on her face.

"Ellin Ondoima. How did you reach me in my meditation?"

"I...I am performing a ritual. Are you real?" she reached out to touch the digimon and felt soft velvet fur.

"I am as real as I feel. Do you know how my Rika is?"

"I'm not too sure. We had to escape Japan due to Apollomon." Ellin gasped. "You don't know that all of us are in trouble! You need to come back-"

"Apollomon?"

"He was in this super squad-it's a bit of a long story. All of us apart from Masahiko and Elecmon escaped to my country. My best guess is that he has Hypnos under his control. He has friends with him- a lot of them. We were afraid you were dead."

"I was indeed captured by Merukimon-a comrade of Apollomon and sent to work in the mines. I met some allies and we are travelling in the digital world. Tell Rika I will try to find her as soon as I can. I have important information for her and the others about Biomerging."

"What about it?" Ellin asked but suddenly she felt something tug on her back. A unknown gale swept her away. She screamed out for Renamon who tried to say something but it was drowned out by the sudden wind.

A dark hallway enraptured Ellin's sight.

"Crocomon?" she called out.

"I am here." he replied. A reptilian hand clasped the Aussies'. She breathed a sigh of relief. Down the hall a source of light opened and a man stood there with glasses and dark blue hair. He was tall and had a cotton white shirt on with dark pants.

"Dad!" Ellin sprinted down the hall as fast as she could but the door shut right before she could touch him. She pushed open the door and fell onto the sandy beach. The sky was blue and the clouds were cotton candy swirls of ivory. Friendly birds chirped and waves rolled onto the beach. She was back again...back to where she started. She spun around and drew herself back to the ocean. A wave rolled and licked her ankles.

"Circle of life blokes say, go into a rabbit hole-never get out. Go on for rest of ya life if ya don't know what you're searching bout." Crocomon stated looking very methodical. He pointed at Ellin. "What do you fear?"

"Huh?" She was taken aback.

"What is your fear, Ellin?"

"My fear..." the waves rolled in birthday cakes. They floated and fell apart as soon as they touched the sand, crumbling into mush. Some were decorated chocolate with cherries on top and frosting that could make a child's belly ache. Other cakes rolled in from the waves. Vanilla with rainbow sprinkles, carrot cakes, even sweet strawberry flavored ones with the succulent fruit on top. Ellin noticed they all had various amounts of candles on the stop. A low hum of a familiar tune came to Ellin.

"Happy birthday to you..."

She turned around and the beach scenery vanished. So did Crocomon. She was standing with a party hat on being sang to by darkened persons. Ellin felt a crackling emotion commence in her gut and shoot it's way up to her throat.

"Happy birthday to you...Happy birthday dear Ellin-"

"SHUT UP!"

The singing stopped. She twisted off her party hat and crumpled it into her abnormally small hand. Throwing it down, she looked up at the people with unravelling fury in her eyes.

"I don't like birthdays! Leave me alone!" childishly, she ran away and into the dark void behind her. She kept running and running trying to dispel the awful memory of finding out Morticai was arrested and taken away. Her feet seemed smaller and her legs not as long as she remembered. She caught her breath and slowed down. She didn't know where she was now. Stars glittered all around her like she was in the cosmos. There was no floor or celing and she couldn't fixate herself in a single spot. Floating, the sensation of time and age were melted away and the only being remained was her very essence and soul. Floating higher and higher she felt like she was becoming not herself but part of a piece of life, a connection and intertwined stars to make a complete universe. It was unforgettable.

"Ellin."

She realized she was stalling. Looking down, she saw the tall man from earlier. Cotton white shirt, dark blue hair. Azure eyes pierced her soul. She floated towards him but he walked away. She kicked the air to swim faster towards him.

"Dad! Dad-wait! Don't leave me, c-come back." she choked. Refusing to give up, she swam harder through the air and almost brushed his dress shirt.

"You're growing up. Look at cha." He spoke, turned away from her. He didn't stop walking. "Soon, you'll be a woman." Then, he left through a door and she started to fall into the darkness. She yelped.

Landing hard, she tasted sand in her mouth. Spitting it out she didn't want to admit she was back at the beach. Her nostrils filled with salt water and the everlasting sound of seagulls and waves rolling on the beach told her otherwise. With a grunt, she pulled herself back up.

"Bad memories. Good memories. All tell interesting things about you. You're childish stance on birthdays and how it represents your brother's imprisonment-and your own creation of a cell as well." Crocomon spoke coolly. A cage suddenly came down on her landing in a thud. He touched a bar. "Why do you build walls around yourself? What are you afraid of?"

"I don't and I'm not." the pathetic reply came from Ellin's mouth but she looked up at Suzie, Masahiko, and all the others on the other side of the cage. They whispered to one another, pointing at Ellin, making faces and stepping back. Ellin felt herself shrank and become more like her child-self.

"You shut yourself off from others and never let anyone in. Are you afraid of being hurt?" the Totem asked.

Ellin heard the whispers grow louder and louder in her mind but she thought of one person who she wanted to let in. Saying his name, she let the teen inside and felt his embrace.

"Ellin, I think it's time you let some people in your life." Jun hummed, enveloping her in a deep solitary hug. "I won't hurt you."

"You can't promise that." she whispered, nestling deep into his dark green sweater. He smelled like sandalwood and after shave. It was heavenly and she took a deep breath.

"I can promise not to leave you. I'm here for better or for worse."

She shrank in his hug. At first, it was from relaxing but Ellin felt herself becoming smaller and smaller until she was the size of a small child. She had long blue hair again that ran down to her knees. She was no longer in a cage and Jun was gone. Crocomon stood across from her.

"The Tiddlik...it's after you. Hide or fight. You decide."

The beach started to turn dark. The sand melted away into solid concrete and Ellin was in a prison ward. Empty, dark and cold jail cells lined the hallway ahead of her and there was no light source. Windows were blocked. She heard a deep growl from behind and with her small legs, she ran with instinct. The Tiddlik was after her. Metal clanged around her, like inmates were beating on the cells. A drum echoed faraway. After what seemed like a long time, the corridor had a cross roads. Two paths and she didn't know what to take. She bolted left, and came across a dead end with a jail cell to the right. Hearing the ground shake she did the only thing she could and hide under the cell bed.

She gasped when she saw the red claws hop into the cell room. It was quiet and she focused to stop breathing. It was tense, and she was shivering like a rabbit. She wanted to go home but the old her remained stubborn to face The Tiddlik. A unnatural scream erupted from the monster.

A long slimy tongue entered under the bed and searched around. She rolled to one side to avoid being touched and crawled backwards. Then, the tongue retracted and the hops faded away.

Getting out of under the bed, Ellin looked unsure of what to do. She could face the Tiddlik but how will she win? Would Crocomon here even help? He was no where in sight. The Tamer looked at herself. She was just a powerless little girl, how the hell was she going to stop the Tiddlik when her big brother couldn't even do it? Her father couldn't even do it. Crushed and defeated she slumped back against the dark damp wall and curled up into a ball.

"Ellin..."

She looked up and saw Suzie. She looked a lot younger, not even older than ten. With silly pigtail hair and a cute button face, the Aussie had to give a confused look at first.

"Ellin, we're here for you. Don't be afraid. You can do this. You remember when you said you have to save your village? You come so far, don't give up."

"I-I'm scared." Ellin's big blue eyes filled with salty tears and she curled tighter. "I'm scared of failing everyone, I'm scared of dying. I'm scared of losing my family."

"Of course you are. That's alright, I get scared too." Suzie smiled. "But, when we look at who we love and why we do things, the scary things get less scary. You love Morticai, your mom and dad, and even Uncle Warragul. You also love Jun."

Ellin gasped but didn't deny it. Suzie thrust something into Ellin's tiny hands. Opening it, it was her D-Arc. The sea blue ring gleamed a little and gave a tiny shard of courage in the Tamer.

"You're the bravest person I know. We all believe and love you." Suzie smiled. Then, she was gone, just like that.

"I..." Ellin clenched her jaw. "I have to do this. For dad...for Morticai..."

She walked out of the cell wearing a determined face. In a grand hall she was surrounded by cells and endless floors of jail metal. Drums rang softly in the distance. She didn't have a lot of time left...

"Tiddlik! I come to challenge you!" she screamed. "I am Ellin Akuna Ondoima, daughter of Koa Ondoima and child of the sea and stars! Face me!"

The hops became heard and she braced herself. Ellin heard them come from the west hall but change to the east then the north and then the south. All fronts they were coming for her but she didn't flinch. Then, at the last second she heard footsteps and turned around. There standing at the entrance was her father, Koa.

"Hey, my little sea urchin." he smiled. Ellin reached out a hand and walked towards him but he took a step back.

"Dad...are you real?"

"This is the Dreaming, Ellin. Spirits come here to help those on their walks and tell stories that last eons. I can't say I'm real but I have memories of you and I, and I know you are my Ellin."

"I'm going to avenge you, dad. Because of that Tiddlik, our family fell apart. If I can stop it, I can save Morticai-maybe even help mom back."

"You're so grown up." Koa didn't seem to be hearing Ellin's plan. "I'm so proud of you. When I faced the Tiddlik, I wanted to make sure it was never going to hurt my children. But, it took my soul and spirit and consumed me. Now, I'm doomed to be it's proxy-it's eyes and hurt others. Like girls in the outback or boys on their Spirit Walks."

Ellin went cold. She shook her head.

"No...no dad. You're not the Tiddlik. You're...you're not."

"I love you. Remember that." Koa stepped backwards into the darkness and something changed. His body morphed into a red creature with a body of a frog but snout like a beast. Buggy eyes poked out that were coal black and a red tongue lashed out. Spikes dripped with a purple ooze decorated its back and fangs were mismatched and sharp-capable of tearing soft flesh. The monster stepped forward with hunching on its hind legs, let out a terrifying shriek.

Ellin stepped back letting out a scream. Then, she thrust out her D-Arc and called upon her partner. Nothing happened.

"Shit...shit..." Ellin stepped backwards. With a gut feeling, she dove for the left and narrowly missed a tongue lash. It whipped into the concrete leaving a crack behind. Scrambling on her feet, she started to run the opposite direction to avoid being hit. As she did this, she cursed every word she knew and shook her D-Arc. The Tiddlik was ontop of her and the only left of defense she could do was thrust out the silly plastic device in hopes it would do something.

It didn't and a claw scraped across her bare chest and she spun to the ground. She saw blood ooze out but she felt numb and pure adrenaline coursed through her veins. Ellin got back up and faced the monster. The Tiddlik was about to claw her again- for sure a lethal hit, but suddenly a giant blue alligator monster dove in a the last second and pummeled the Tiddlik into the concrete wall.

"Allandmon!" gasped the Aussie. She looked at her D-Arc which was glowing a hazy blue. Her tattoo on her ankle glowed as well and pulsed a warm sensation around her body like she was taking a warm bath. Liquid glow healed her wounds and left barely visible scars on her chest. She was also back to her older self. An adult with a strong stance and a fierce look her in eye.

"Mate, I got this! Don't worry."

"No, we got this" Ellin corrected. "We're one team and I'm not afraid of a monster that kills innocent beings. Let's defeat this and save our family. Change into Bunyipmon."

Upholding the command, the blue shaman ultimate digimon appeared whipping his spear against the monster. It was like batting a tiny stick to a elephant as the Tiddlik whipped its tongue and grabbed the spear. Bunyipmon wrestled with it, shouting curse words every breath he could manage. Ellin grimaced. She decided to throw all common sense out of the window and charged to Bunyipmon to help get his spear back.

"Ellin?!" caught off guard Bunyipmon almost lost his grip. Ellin firmly held the spear and pulled back.

"I'm with you, for better or for worse." she smiled.

"We're a hell of a team." chuckled the ultimate. The ankle tattoo on Ellin glowed brighter and she felt warm and pulsing. She looked determined and pulled back from the Tiddlik.

"The best team there is! Give it all we got." Ellin roared and together they freed Bunyipmon's spear.

The prison scenery started to melt away and turn into white dots. They floated away to give the setting of the beach but a storm was just on the cusp of the horizon. Thunder boomed in the distance giving a moment of tension to the fight. Clouds looked like dangerous colours of grey and black, occasionally lighting up. Water turned into a dark murky blue that couldn't be seen past the surface giving no reflection to the stormy sky. Wind whipped around and a wave crashed on a rock spraying ocean water on everyone. No one moved an inch.

Dum...Dum...Dum...

Then lighting cracked and the thunder roared giving way to the battle in the Dream Time.

Bunyipmon dashed forward spraying sand up into the sky from his dash. Spinning his spear he called upon his attack and the water obeyed his command.

"Winnipeg!"

Water formed into a giant hand to enclose the Tiddlik but it quickly jumped out of the way. With the sand as it's aide, it tossed some into Bunyipmon to blind him. However, the digimon was ready and used his water to shield him into a translucent bubble. It melted away and Ellin called out him to use the water as a platform. He obliged and jumped onto floated platforms of water.

The Tiddlik was clever as well and jumped on the various dressers and beds floating in the ocean side. Using it's tongue, it lashed out at Bunyipmon. He countered and tried to slice the tongue off but it whipped backwards. He flipped onto another platform to avoid another lash.

"What are we going to do?" Bunyipmon called out. "I don't reckon this thing wants to go to a barbie with me."

"I'm thinking." Ellin searched a way to help out. She let her eyes wander to the endless cakes washing up ashore and instantly, cakes fell from the sky onto the Tiddlik. He let out a shriek of annoyance. Bunyipmon tilted his head.

"What the bloody hell..."

Ellin's mind chimed and a lightbub went off. She thought of the heaviest object she could think of. In seconds, a black anvil comically dropped on the Tiddlik's head. It swayed back and forth, concussed by the trauma.

A snicker escaped Bunyipmon's lips,

"Ya doing this mate?"

Ellin snapped her fingers and another anvil dropped.

"Oh, yeah. I think I found a way to help."

Various items fell from the dark thunder sky onto the monster. Black anvils weighing fifty tons, copycats of Ellin's dressers, antique beds, a random ranch cow, and even Warragul's pickup truck she thought of last minute. They all piled onto, giving the crushing weight too much for the spirit monster to bear. Using its tongue, it ripped through the truck and attempted to crawl out. Bunyipmon added his Winnipeg attack to crush the Tiddlik down. A cracking sound echoed and the moving ceased.

Tentatively, Ellin walked towards it to make sure it was dead but Bunyipmon turned to her.

"Something seems off-"

It went quick like lighting. One second Bunyipmon was there, all in his power and glory-next, he had a disgusting red tongue impaled through is body all the way outwards, inches from Ellin's face. Her face went to horror. Her totem was killed.

"Bunyipmon!"

The tongue wriggled and slammed Bunyipmon into the ground but he was already dissolving. Then, nothing was left. A hole impacted the rubble and the Tiddlik was free again. The leftover dust from Bunyipmon circled around her and disappeared into her D-Arc. A icon flashed on the screen that she had never seen before. It was the same mark as her tattoo and it pulsed a soft blue. Confusion swept her face but she didn't have time as she started to run on the beach. To her misfortune, the tongue captured her ankle and she fell hard.

Dum, dum, dum.

Ellin swore. She heard the drums grow louder and remembered what Elder Bindi told her. Her time was up soon. Looking at the Tiddlik she could only feel a bile of hatred at it.

"I'm sick of you doing this! I'm bloody sick of it! I'll defeat you myself with my own spirit."

The Tiddlik roared, showing its teeth and used its tongue to pull her closer. If that thing got to her, her spirit would be consumed and she would suffer the same fate as her father. Ellin refused. Without a doubt, she would not let herself fall to the monster.

Lightning and thunder struck around them in rapid succession. The beach flashed a bright light after every hit and the sound rumbled shook all the sand and ocean which was violently climbing higher to the land. A sharp spark of blue pulled itself out of Ellin's D-Arc and burned her skin slightly. A digi-code ring then encircled the hand and the D-Arc. The Tamer was swept up in the moment and swiped it. She shouted,

"SPIRIT MEGA EVOLUTION!"

It was the correct words as she felt herself explode into a firework of light. She had no body anymore, or even a representation of one at the moment. She was what you called the pure soul. Her soul felt her totem 'Crocomon' encase with her and she saw pieces of clothing and scales surround her front and back. Slowly, they lowered onto her and she felt a surge of energy rush into her. Was this what Suzie talked about non-stop when she biomerged? No, she remembered Lopmon was 'with' her, sharing thoughts and feelings and movements. Ellin was alone but she suddenly had the powers that Crocomon had. She saw how weak the Tiddlik's tongue was and ripped it off her. Then she got up, and realized she was a giant! Seaweed dark blue hair flew around her reaching down to the ground. Wearing polished blue amour with golden accents she had on her hip a pouch of water weighing almost twice her weight but she felt light as a feather. She wore translucent aqua pants that ended at her calves in gold bracelets. In her one hand was a wooden staff that curled and twisted painfully to the top that curved naturally around a shimmering blue stone. She was wearing a helm that depicted Crocomon's face but with a human face exposed on the lower half. Feeling raw power course through her, she curled her plump dark lips into a smile.

The Tiddlik backed away, shielding it's face from the glow of Ellin's new form. She wondered for a split second just exactly who she was but the name came to her naturally. She announced herself.

"Stand down, I am Mojlewokmon. You have taken lives and destroyed families. I swear I will defeat you if it's the last thing I'll do."

With a single stomp of her curled old wooden staff, a rush of ocean came from her and swept the Tiddlik backwards. Thunder boomed. She took a step forward and raised her hand. Seaweed dark as night and strong as steel wrapped around the Tiddlik's red frog like hind legs, claws, and even its neck. It's tongue lashed out, cutting Mojlewokmon's cheek. She touched it gingerly but remained composed. She raised her staff again and slammed it down bringing another roar of thunder. Tiddlik struggled to remain standing and fought the seaweed.

"Walele!" the water obeyed her and swept past her, rushing into the Tiddlik and entering any entrance it could, including his eyeballs which protruded and went wide in pain. Then it slumped and was powerless as Mojlewokmon had control.

Dum...Dum...Dum

The drums were almost upon them. Minutes left. Mojlewokmon brandished her teeth and ordered the Tiddlik to release the spirits it consumed. It roared back.

Raising a hand, a bright light came and she knew the attack she would make would seal its fate. It was a energy beam that contained the energy of the ocean and the life in it. She charged it and whispered the attack.

"Aqua Mabo."

The light was too painful for the Tiddlik and it gave in letting the monster be destroyed. Each piece of its being was ripped out of its self and split into nothing. A destroyed eye was the last to be seen before it was consumed by the Aqua Mabo, no trace of it was left behind. The mega shaman sank to her knees and she changed back into Ellin, breathing heavily.

"I did it..."

Dum...Dum...Dum...

"Ellin."

She looked up and saw something magical. It was her father in all of his spirit and glory smiling at her. Behind him were dozens of women behind, all different ages and skin colors. They all looked relieve and at peace. Ellin lifted a hand but felt too heavy. That last change did a number on her she thought.

"Dad...wait..." she sniffed. "I'm so sorry you-"

Koa lifted her up and hugged her. The moment stayed for awhile but she could feel herself slipping away like her body was dissolving into the sky. He kissed her forehead.

"Take care of everyone for me, love. Thank you for releasing us."

"I love you, dad." Ellin hugged him tighter. She wished as hard as she could to stay with him but to her dismay she floated up to the sky, vision becoming watery and soon turning into darkness.

"Ellin..."

She heard her name but couldn't open her eyes. The floating sensation was inside her mind and she felt like she was woken out of a deep dream.

"She's not breathing...get an ambulance!"

Funny, was she not breathing? She tried to open her eyes but they stayed glued shut. She felt sleepy. Suzie's voice shot out of nowhere.

"Start breathing, Ellin. Dammit, not like this!"

"Start the compressions!"

Her chest felt heavy and suddenly something cracked. She winced but her body didn't respond. What was going on?

She felt sleepy and didn't bother to resist. After all, she fought off the Tiddlik and won. Ellin said her goodbyes to her dad and those women who were victims whom she mourned for but felt happy they were at peace. The Aussie Tamer was lulled back and let unconsciousness overcome her.

End Episode

Author's Note: SO! I did take a little longer-okay I took super long. I am so sorry. I changed some crucial parts of the story (I keep doing this and I keep finding more things to help piece things together better).

This was a hard chapter. I wanted something unique but I needed something 'Digimonesque'. I realized that a lot of what made Digimon good was the development of the 'human' characters and their triumphs. So I wanted to focus on that more than the lore or the 'digivolution'. Speaking of that, we have our first of many different digivolutions. That's right! We are not only having Biomerge digivolution but all sorts of different types. I thought it would keep things interesting. This is Spirit Digivolution like in Season 4, almost but I decided to make the 'Spirit' totem more silent. Ellin was given the ability to spiritually change into the mega but only in the spirit realm. So this is sort of a one time instance, for now. This is her own special kind of digivolution so no other Tamer will have this power.

Mojlewokmon is based off a water spirit in Lake Alexandria in Australia. It was said that it could over turn a boat and disguise itself as bundles of seaweed. Aqua Mabo is its special attack (Mabo is an Aboriginal rights activist).
