Hey, guys! New chapter here! *Cue cheers*
I think I'll only be able to update once a week, at least until summer break. Sorry. I have a bunch of stuff coming up starting this week with no freetime at all, so... Yeah.
Thanks for all the reviews, guys! They mean a lot :)
ATTENTION, EVERYONE! My story My Boyfriend's A Superstar is in the top ten for The Greatest Auslly Fanfics of 2013, so if you could go vote for me, I'd really appreciate it :)
Disclaimer: I do not own Austin & Ally, or anything else you may recognize in this story.
Enjoy! :)
Maddi's P.O.V.
Jake and I share a worried look. Maybe we went a bit too far.
"Can you two please explain to me why I come home to get told by the new babysitter that my two children are monsters and that she won't work here anymore?" My dad asks, obviously angry. Jake and I stay silent.
Ally huffs. "You made a huge mess in the bathroom, fought with her, and made her trip down the stairs. Since when are you two such bad kids?"
Jake shrugs. "We told you we didn't want a babysitter." He says quietly.
My dad rolls his eyes. "Do you know how much stress Ally and I have been put under, lately? Especially Ally?" We shrug. "I work almost all the time. When I'm not working, I'm either sleeping or taking care of you. Ally barely has time to sleep. She goes to school, then straight to the studio until late at night. When she comes home, she has to watch you two until you're asleep. Then, she does her homework. Some nights, she doesn't even get the chance to sleep. Getting you a babysitter wasn't out of lazyness. It was for Ally to get more sleep and flr me and Austin to relax a bit."
"But no, you two had to ruin the only good thing that has happened to us, lately. 'Cause it's all about you. Thanks a lot." Ally says sarcastically.
"Guys, we didn't know you were under so much stress!" I exclaim, slightly defensive.
"Yeah. Well, now you do." Ally snaps. I hardly ever see Ally mad. Let me tell you, this is not something I want to go through again. "I'm going to bed." She announces then walks away.
"I hope you two are happy. You won't get treated like little kids anymore. Tomorrow, you're calling Sarah to apologize. Goodnight." Dad tells us. I bite my lip as I watch him walk away.
Yep. We definitely went too far.
Austin's P.O.V.
... I confess, I kinda like it that you're innocent, keepin' up your guard. I'll break it down, go on and try it, no matter what you do I'm gonna steal your hear-
I groan and press the 'answer' button on my phone, not even bothering to check the caller ID.
"Hello?" I answer, glancing at the glowing alarm clock set on my bedside table: 11:53PM.
"Hey... Did I wake you?" Ally's voice jolts me awake. Only now, do I realize that it was her ringtone playing.
I run a hand through my hair. "It's okay, don't worry about it. What's wrong?" I ask, keeping my voice above a whisper to make sure I don't wake up my family.
"Umm... I actually don't know why I called you. It was stupid. I'm sorry I woke you up. Goodnight."
"Hey, wait! Alls, I know something's wrong. Even over the phone, you're still a bad liar."
I hear her sigh. "Maddi and Jake scared the babysitter off. She quit."
"Seriously? But... Those two are like the nicest kids I know! Why would they do that?"
"Their only explanation was that they don't want a babysitter. Well, they should be happy, 'cause that's what's happening now."
"I'm sorry."
"You have nothing to be sorry about."
"I know." I turn over so that I'm laying on my back. "Are you okay? Do you want me to come over, or something?"
"No, it's okay. It's getting late."
"You know I'd go if you wanted me to, right?"
"I know. And I'm really grateful for that. But I promise you, I'm okay. I just want to talk."
"About what?"
"Anything."
I stay quiet for a moment, thinking of what we could talk about. "Do you ever try to imagine what your life will be like in the future?" I find myself asking.
"Yeah, sometimes. Do you?"
"Yeah. What do you imagine? Or want?"
"Hmm... I want at least two kids. Maybe more. Maybe a dog. Not a cat. Cats freak me out." I chuckle at that. "A big house with a big backyard. You, of course."
I try to keep myself from breaking into a huge grin. "Yeah. That'd be nice."
"Do you think of anything else?"
"As long as I have you with me, I'm cool with anything else. Kids would be pretty awesome, though. And everything else you said. A house near the beach would be cool."
"Yeah... Do you think you'll still be in the music business?"
"If Jimmy's willing to keep me, then yes. I think I'll still be making music. Why do you ask? Are you thinking of dropping out?"
I hear her sigh. "I really don't know, anymore. I mean, I love music and making it, and meeting the fans, and everything else, really, but... I ask myself more and more; is this really what I want to do as a job? Do I really want to get chased down by paparrazzis my whole life? Live a crazy life like this? I barely manage doing it right now. What about when I'll have kids to take care of? Would I find time for music? I'll really confused."
"I can't make the decision for you, Alls. But as I'm listening to you, I think your mind as made a decision on its own."
"But... I don't think I'm ready to drop out of the music business. It's the only life I know. I've been doing that since I was a little girl. Even with all the doubts, I can't see myself completely dropping out. I just—I'm so confused."
"Tell you what; go to sleep, and we'll talk it through more tomorrow, okay?"
"Alright."
"Good. Goodnight."
"Austin?"
"What's up?"
"Can you stay with me? Like, no need to talk. Just... don't shut off your phone."
I blink. "Umm... Sure. Goodnight."
I hear her yawn. "Goodnight."
I turn my phone on the speaker and place it on my bedside table, letting Ally soft breath lull me to sleep.
"Hey." I greet Ally as she gets into my car, after school.
She leans over and pecks my cheek. "Hi."
"So... have you thought about dropping out of music again?" I ask her, getting out of the parking space.
"Yeah. I think I'll stay in the biz until at least a few more years. You know, like if another opportunity comes my way, or a twist in my life happens."
I nod. "That's cool. I think it's a reasonable decision. Have you talked to your dad about it?"
I glance at her to see her shake her head. "Have you met my dad? He'd freak if he ever found out I was having second thoughts on my career."
"Alls, your dad can't make decisions for you. Yes, he'll probably be mad, but it's your life. Your decisions. Not his."
"I know, I know... But sometimes, I can't help but listen to him. I think I'm scared of what he'd do if I didn't. I mean, he did kick me out once. Who knows what else he could be capable of doing?"
I sigh. "Look, I don't want to tell you what to do. I'm not like that. I'm just saying; if he ever kicks you out again, come to me, alright? And if this time he's not willing to take you back, I'll help you look for a place of your own. I'll even move in with you if you want me to. Okay? I don't want you to worry over what could happen."
I glance at her again as she nods. "Thanks, Aus."
Ally's P.O.V.
"Hey, guys, I'm gonna go to the bathroom. I'll be right back." I tell Austin and DJ. When they both nod, I quickly slip out.
As I pass Jimmy's office on my way back from the bathroom, I stop dead in my track as I hear hushed voices. Usually, when people are talking like that in Jimmy's office, it's not good.
"Her mom used to pay me to make sure I kept her as a Starr Records recording artist." I recognize Jimmy's voice. I know I shouldn't, but I can't help evesdroppping.
"Did she do the same to the movie and TV show producers who hired Ally?" I freeze as I hear Kira say my name. Could they be talking about me? If so, could it be true? My mom used to brag people into hiring me?
Tears form into my eyes and I take off. I don't know where... but I run.
BAM! Done!
Didn't see that coming, did ya? ;) Sorry, but I needed drama to take place at some point :P I thought of it a couple weeks ago. Just had to find to place and time to do it.
What do you think Ally will do? Just when her life was getting almost normal again... Everything goes wrong. Poor her.
Random Questin of the Day: I don't think I'll be ending this story anytime soon, but when I will... How many of you would want a sequel? I think I might have an idea, but if nobody reads it, it'll be pretty pointless. So... Please tell me if you want one!
Let's answer some questions!
Jewel (guest): Is Raura dating?
My answer: If they are, they're not going public. I have my suspicions, but according to them, they're not. Unfortunately.
Jewel (guest): What made you discover the A&A FanFiction page?
My answer: Well, I discovered FanFiction first when I was looking through the internet to see if there was a sequel to a movie I had watched, and came across FanFiction. I started reading it, then I read stories after stories. Then, I started looking through the TV shows and movies there were stories about. When I saw Austin & Ally... I don't know, I kinda thought the title was cool. I search the show on the internet, watched videos on YouTube, and bought the first episode on iTunes. I think I watched it, like, fifteen times in one night. Then, I just started reading almost every fanfic there was about Austin & Ally with no intention at all to ever write one. Until I decided I wanted to know if I had talent in writing, which I never really knew since the only person who was reading my stories was myself. Turns out people liked my writing, so even though I was still insecure about my writing (still kinda am), I kept writing more stories. Ten months later, here I am :P
tephriam: What has been the best day of your life so far?
My answer: Probably when I met my best friend in fourth grade. We were in art class and I didn't have markers while she did. To be honest, she kinda scared me, but I went for it anyway. I asked her if I could borrow her markers and, to my relief, she said yes. Then, we just talked the whole class, and... We just clicked, I guess. And we're still best friends to this very day. So, yeah. Probably the best day of my life and the one that changed me the most. For the better, let me tell you that ;P
writermeAL: Were you a "rebel-child" or a "goody-goody"?
My answer: Goody-goody at, like, 100%. Still am, but a bit less. Maybe, like 92% :P I got in trouble in fourth grade for being late and that day still haunts me :P
RossR5: Have you ever heard of Bon Jovi? If you have, which song is your favorite?
My answer: Of course I have! It's one of my favorite bands! My favorite song? I'll have to go with You Give Love a Bad Name.
RossR5: Everybody Talks or Sleeping With a Friend by Neon Trees?
My answer: You just had to pick my two favorite songs by them, didn't you? ;) Well, I'd have to go with Everybody Talks. I'm obsessed with it.
RossR5: Can you update soon?
My answer: At least a week, like I said at the top A/N. Sorry, I know it's not very soon, but it's all I can manage for at least June.
RossR5: Your favorite member of R5 rate 1st your favorite, then your 2nd, 3rd... to 5th?
My answer: Gosh, that's a hard one! I love all of them! Can I place them all at the first? No? Umm... Probably Ratliff first because he's hilarious, then Ross because, well, he's Ross, then... Umm... I don't know! Rocky third, because he's also hilarious... Then Rydel and Riker both fourth because they're both equally awesome and no one in R5 deserves to be put last.
Ausllyrauraluv: What's your favorite Austin & Ally song?
My answer: Steal Your Heart. I fell in love with it as soon as I heard it for the first time.
lemon2992: Any good romance books you recommend?
My answer: The Fault in Our Stars for sure. That's my favorite book. I know I always say I can't pick a favorite book, but The Fault in Our Stars... I just... I don't even have words for it. The trilogy that's not named but the books are titled Shiver, Linger, and Forever are also very good books, if you're looking for romance :)
Awesome! That was ten questions! Keep sending them in, I love answering them! :) Also, don't forget to answer the Random Question of the Day!
Until next time,
R5AAFan :)
