I could of laughed at the absurdity of the whole situation… but I did not. All I did was freeze. If my skin were a grey tint, I would have been easily been mistaken for one of the many statues around the castle.
I feel my whole body freeze, as though my bones were mending together. Preventing me from any function.
"Emma… Please look at me.." Regina whispered, her body still trapped between the wall and I. Her breath washing over my face, as my eyes are downcast to the floor.
I slowly drag my gaze up and lock my eyes on to hers. I take in account her tear stained cheeks..
When did that happen?
"My love.. I am sorry I got angry like that.." Regina admitted. "...I promised myself I would never treat you that way, I am so sorry."
My tense body seems to loosen at her admission, I lean forward and rest my forehead against hers.
" You have no need to apologize my Queen.. I do not blame you for 'Evil Queening" me." I chuckle slightly, watching as a small smile twitched at the ends of her lips.
I lean in placing a small kiss on the corner of her mouth. Tasting the small trace of tears that rolled its way down her cheek.
I lean into her more, placing my head against the inside of her neck. Wrapping my arms completely around her waist. I breath her in, before placing a small kiss on her neck.
"Emma.. I'll protect you from her." Regina whispered into my ear. Sighing into her neck, I pull back slowly.
" Regina.. I am not scared of her anymore..not when I am with you." I state before closing the distance between us. I capture her lips into a searing kiss. Her red lips moving against my pale ones in a slow tango. I pour every emotion into it, running my tongue against her lower lip. Asking… Begging for entrance. A chance to be even closer to her. Closer to my beautiful, caring and protective Queen.
"Regina I love you so much." I whisper into her mouth, before capturing her lips once again.I feel Regina moan softly against my mouth, before deepening the kiss. Her tongue caresses mine as we hold each other close. The world that was once surrounding us, slowly disappears. I feel Regina's fingers going through my hair, massaging my scalp. I let a moan escape from my lips, as she bites down softly on my bottom lip.
"Emma.." Regina gasps. " .. I love you too"
"... It is to be told that she was seen walking on foot from the east. Supposedly walking towards the village." Graham told the room. His eyes locked on mine though...Every eye was locked on mine. The Guards that sat around the table tell me stories of sightings of my mother. All voices filled with pity and sorrow, making me highly uncomfortable.
"So what I have been hearing.. Is that you have spotted her but yet to make a move on catching her?" I ask quietly, my eyes shifting downward to the map. Where it pointed out her current approximate location. Only a mile away from the village.
"Well.. Emma.. We need to study her more before we make a move." Robin smiles.
"And then what?"
"We believe she is heading back to your cottage.. so we will most likely capture her there." Robin tilts his head, as though he expects me to thank him for his plan.
"Who is 'We'" I ask slowly, eying everyone in the room.
Everyone in the room slowly put up their hands. I glance beside me, watching Reginas hand rise into the air.
"No. I am coming too"
"Emma, I advise against that" Graham locked eyes with mine.
"I am coming."
"Emma no!" Regina yelled, jumping to her feet. ".. I am not putting you in harms way. You will stay here in the safety of the palace."
I give her one last glance before storming out of the room.
If they will not take me, I will just go myself.
Storming into my personal bedchambers, I grab my satchel. Throwing some items quickly inside... A map, a compass, a change of clothing and a few apples from the basket on the bedside table.
I make sure my necklaces are secured around my neck.
The door creaks open as I stand on the ledge of the balcony.
"Emma you cannot go!" Regina runs towards me, trying to pull me down.
"I have to." I whisper, letting her pull me to the ground.
"Why! Why can you not stay out of harms way!?" Regina pulls me into a hug, keeping me close to her chest.
"Regina... She is not going to the cottage. She swore to make my life miserable.." I cry.
"You disobedient child! You ruined my life.. and I shall ruin yours."
"But Mother...I did not mean to I swear" I cry out as she pulls tightly on my hair, yanking me into my bedroom.
"You look away my family! You made my husband leave.. YOU KILLED My Daughter!" She yelled, clutching the back of my neck.
"I am sorry. Please stop." I cry out, as her hand strikes my face.
"One day.. I will take all that you love away from you too. Like that little Orphan girl.." She snickered, finally releasing her hold on my hair and neck.
"NO!"
" Where is she going to be then Emma.. you have to tell me." Regina whispered against my neck. Clutching me tighter against her body.
"She is going to go after Lily.."
