A long overdue apology
Dear readers,
I deeply apologise for not coming back to this story in nearly 10 years! At the time of writing the story, I was motivated and had time on my hands and then as life moved on it was too difficult to manage. And as time went on, it was too difficult to motivate myself to come back, as selfish as that was. I'd lost the spark in writing the story and so I just could not finish it. I tried a few times around 2015, but it just wasn't right.
Flash forward to the present… I stumbled across my VA books when I was clearing some things out. The nostalgia hit me and I skim read the series all over again and that spark came back to me! I came back to this story and again read through it and finally felt like I could finish it.
More than reading my story back, it was you the readers that led me back to finishing this. I avoided reading reviews and PMs for years because I was afraid of what you would say. But seeing the wonderful words of encouragement and best wishes spoke more than anything else. Thank you for not giving up on this story, even when I'd lost hope in finishing it myself. Wherever you may be in this world, I hope you can come back to this story like I did and I hope you have all achieved wonderful things in the years from when I last updated.
I refused to update this story until I had finished it. It was extremely difficult to write; I honestly don't know how I did it all those years ago! I apologise for any discrepancies or plot holes! My writing style, I think, has also changed, but I hope you enjoy the ending nonetheless.
When I thought up the idea of 'Our Daughter, Our Little Angel', I always imagined it ending this way. I don't think I've done it justice the way I would have done 8/9 years ago, but I hope you still enjoy it.
Again, I am deeply sorry for holding out this long. Thank you for all your kind words and being the final motivator to getting me to finish!
