Previously in "Out of the Darkness", After having an argument with her husband, Cassandra tells Caroline and Francesca about how she and Daniel first met 10+ centuries ago.

Chapter Thirty-Seven: Sexy Hybrid Time

The pencil moved across the page in a speed-like manner beneath his hand. Klaus hummed to himself as he sketched a drawing in his sketch book, a new one he had come up with after Cassandra had healed him and Henrik. He had just finished it when he felt a presence behind him on the bed, turning to see Caroline lying on her side, her head propped up on one arm while the other rested on her hip and her hand rested on her belly. "Yes, love? Is there anything you needed from me?"

"As a matter of fact, Nik, there is," she replied. "I was talking with my mother before and she says that she would like to become a vampire. She's had her magic for centuries and she feels that it's the right time. My father expressed interest in becoming a hybrid as well." She moved closer to him, taking the book from him and laying it on the bedside table before playfully nibbling on his ear. "Do you think you could do that for me? I know that you've already done so much for me, but this will be something that can be added to the list."

"Did they say exactly when they wanted to be turned, love?" Klaus asked as he leaned toward her and gently nipped her bottom lip between his teeth.

Caroline moaned when she felt him nibbling on her bottom lip. "They weren't too specific on it, but I think they would like to be turned as soon as possible. I told them that I would talk to you about it first."

"Good. That gives me time to do…this," Klaus said then brought her over him, gently ripping her clothes away from her body, groaning when she did the same thing, albeit slowly.

Once they were completely naked, Caroline pushed him down onto his back and straddled him, gliding his member into her and rocking her hips against him, leaning down and kissing him passionately. Klaus grabbed her hips, thrusting in time with her gyrations. "Yes…oh, Klaus, give it to me!" Caroline yelled, rocking harder.

Klaus licked his lips as his eyes turned colors. "I intend to, my hybrid Queen…" That being said, he let his fangs pop out and bit into her neck, thrusting harder and faster.

Caroline returned the biting, but did it into his shoulder, growling when his blood hit her taste buds. Klaus growled as he felt her fangs pierce his shoulder, liking the feeling it gave him, because it strengthened their bond as mates. Pulling out of her neck, he licked up the excess blood with his tongue, letting out another growl. Another growl came from Caroline as she pulled back, framing her husband's face between her hands and kissing him, not caring that both of their lower faces were covered in each others' blood.

Several Hours Later

Klaus held Caroline close under the sheets of their bed, running his fingers through her hair and inhaling the sweet scent of sandalwood, lavender and honey that was infused in each strand. "That was definitely worth the wait," his wife said into the skin of his chest.

"It certainly was," he replied. "You have no idea just how good being with you makes me feel."

"Oh, I have a pretty good idea," Caroline said. "I could stay here with you all day." She kissed his chest. "But, we can't, because you promised to turn my parents and I promised Mama and Belinda that we'd go shopping."

"By all means, let us get dressed then," he said with a smirk before easing his arm from around her so that she could get out of bed, following suit moments later and dressing in fresh clothes. Caroline watched her husband as he dressed, putting on her clothes at the same time. "It's not polite to stare, love."

Clearing her throat, she said, "Sorry, I just couldn't help it. You're impossible for me to resist, especially after we've just been intimate."

"Oh, is that so, my love?" he said with another smirk, leaning over to brush his lips over hers.

Caroline giggled against his lips as she returned his kiss. "I love you, my King."

"I love you just as much," Klaus said with a loving smile at his wife.

Once they were completely dressed, the two hybrids left the room in search of Cassandra and Daniel. They found her parents sitting in the dining room, reading the newspaper. Cassandra looked up when she heard footsteps and smiled at her daughter and son-in-law. Daniel looked up from the paper, a familiar scent reaching his nose, and smiled knowingly at the hybrids. "Well, looks to me like someone had a successful negotiation session."

Cassandra scowled and elbowed him. "Daniel!"

"What? It's true, isn't it? I mean, we were doing the same thing earlier, sweetheart," he said with a wink at his wife.

Cassandra maintained her look. "I know we did, but you don't have to word it quite like that." Rolling her eyes, she said to Caroline, "Don't mind your father, he's being immature."

"Oh, I kind of figured. Nik sometimes acts that way too," Caroline said with a grin.

Klaus smiled back at his wife. "Yes, but you love it."

"Of course I do, but that's not why we're here," she said, giving him a pointed head nod toward her parents.

Klaus nodded. "Right, of course…" He cleared his throat. "Now, which of you wants to be turned first? Or, if you prefer, I could turn you both at the same time."

"Can you actually do that?" Daniel asked.

Klaus smiled at his father-in-law. "I'm an Original, Daniel, there's nothing I can't do. So, are we doing one at a time or both at once?"

"Let's do it one at a time, so either of us can be there when the other wakes up," his father-in-law replied.

Klaus smiled. "That sounds good to me." He looked at Cassandra and added, "Ladies first, Cassandra."

She nodded then got up and rounded the table at which she sat with her husband, taking the hand of her son-in-law. "Do you mind if we do this in the living room?" she asked Klaus, who nodded. Daniel and Caroline followed soon after.

Once they were in the living room, Klaus had Cassandra stand in the middle of the room, giving her a reassuring smile. "Don't be afraid, Cassandra."

"I'm not," she replied. "I trust you, Niklaus. I've always trusted you."

Klaus nodded and bit into his wrist, putting it by her mouth so she could drink his blood. Once he had given her enough, he snapped her neck, catching her as she fell, laying her gently on the floor.

After she was in place, he turned to his father-in-law, who remained in place, his eyes still watching over his beloved. Then Daniel looked up at Klaus. "I'm ready," he said softly.

Klaus nodded. "Well, let's not waste any time, shall we?" That being said, he bit into his other wrist, placed it over Daniel's mouth, watching him as he drank. When he was sure he had enough, he snapped his neck and caught him, laying him down next to his wife.

Cassandra woke up an hour later, moving to remain seated beside her husband. Daniel woke up then, letting out a gasp and panting before looking at Cassandra. "Are you okay?"

"I've never felt better," she replied, giving him a smile as she laid her head on his shoulder.

Daniel kissed her forehead. "I feel the same way. I mean, I'm still a wolf, but I'm more than that."

"That's what being a hybrid is," Klaus said. "You're still yourself, but you're much more."

Daniel nodded. "Thank you for turning us, Niklaus," he said.

Klaus nodded. "It was no problem at all, Daniel. When Caroline came to me and told me that you wanted to turn you both, I couldn't deny her, since I've never denied her anything since we found each other again. You and Cassandra are our family, and that's the most precious thing in the world to me."

"Family is important to me as well," Daniel said as he smiled at his wife and then his daughter.

Caroline returned her father's smile and hugged her husband, kissing his cheek. Klaus smiled then turned his head to brush his lips in a soft caress over her forehead. Jessica came into the living room and raised an eyebrow in curiosity. "What's going on in here, you guys?"

Cassandra began to smell the blood from Jessica's veins, fresh and just longing for a taste but she turned to her husband and murmured into the skin of his neck, "Danny, will you please get me out of here before I hurt her?"

Daniel nodded, knowing she needed to feed on someone other than their daughter's adopted stepsister. Helping her up, he took her to the front entryway, where they put on their coats to head out. Jessica watched them leave and looked at Caroline. "What's going on? Why are they leaving?"

"Nik turned my mother into a vampire, Jess. She's afraid she'll hurt you because she needs to feed to complete the transition."

Her stepsister nodded. "I'm glad that she decided to do that then."

Caroline nodded as well and looked at her sister curiously. "Was there something you needed, Jess?"

"No, no, just wanted to ask Daniel something, but I will when he returns," Jessica replied.

Klaus nodded. "Could it have something to do with playing the violin together or something entirely different than that?"

"The violin thing," Jessica replied.

Klaus nodded. "I'm sure he'll be back soon."

Meanwhile – Mystic Falls

Since the Miss Mystic Falls' pageant had come and gone, April found other things occupying her time…like how she wasn't able to keep her eyes of the busboy with the sandy blonde hair, whom she was staring at currently while sitting at the Grill. The orphan jumped slightly when she noticed that she wasn't alone, turning to smile at Rebekah. "Hello," she said as a soft greeting.

"Are you staring again?" Rebekah asked as she inclined her head in a nod over at Matt, who had turned his head and waved at Rebekah.

"Yes. I can't help it though. I mean…" April hesitated but Rebekah reached over and placed her hand on top of the one belonging to April that was shaking visibly and involuntarily.

Rebekah smiled at her. "Oh, it's all right, really. Matt is 'easy on the eyes,' as they say."

"Yeah, I guess you could say that," she replied. "So, what are you doing here, Rebekah? I thought you and your family left to go to New Orleans?"

"Technically, my brothers Elijah and Finn are here, while my future husband, Stefan, whom you have met already, and I headed to Chicago, while Henrik, the youngest of our actual family is in New Orleans as well as my brother Niklaus. My half-sister, Sabrina, and half-brother, Olivier, are here in Mystic Falls," Rebekah said. "I thought I would visit with my nieces Ruby and Bridget."

April nodded. "Oh, okay. Well, it's good to see you."

She was saved from anything further when Matt wandered over to their table and gave them both a smile before leaning down to kiss Rebekah's cheek. "Hello, Rebekah, it's been a while. What have you been up to?" he said, sitting down after she scooted to make room for him.

"Things have been good for me. Stefan and I are planning for our wedding still, and we're going to have it in Chicago. Which brings me to my next question…would you mind if I asked you to be the best man? I know that's usually the groom's job, but Stefan said that it was okay if I asked you," the blonde vampire told the busboy.

"I'd be honored to be the best man, Rebekah. Thank you for asking," he said, giving her a quick hug.

Rebekah smiled. "I'll be sure to tell Stefan you said that."

Matt nodded. "While you're here, you should tell Damon about the wedding. He's going to want to know, especially when it comes to these things."

"He knows, actually. I told him before I came here to ask you. Damon had turned down the best man because he knew that he'd already be there in the audience," Rebekah replied.

Matt nodded. "Right, sorry." Clearing his throat, he added, "Who's going to be your maid of honor?"

Rebekah turned to April. "I know that we only met a short while ago, but I wouldn't consider anyone else I'd rather ask," she said. April nodded with tears in her eyes.

Smiling, she said, "I'd love to be your maid of honor, Rebekah."

Rebekah hugged her. "Thank you so much, April. You're the best friend a girl could ask for."

April smiled again and hugged the vampire back. "When do you want me to help start on the planning?" she asked.

"Don't worry about that for now. I'll get in touch with you…" Rebekah said but April tuned her out when she saw Matt glancing over at her before glancing away. Rebekah glanced between them before gently pushing Matt out of the booth. "I should get going. I'll call you, April, when I'm ready to start planning."

April nodded. "Okay. I look forward to it." Rebekah nodded one more time before heading out of the Grill, leaving the two that remained alone together. April glanced around then gasped when she felt Matt tugging her out of the booth before he pulled her into the back, where he immediately shut and locked the door to the office. Once their privacy was assured, April smirked at him. "What do you plan to do with me, Matty?"

"This…" he said in a ragged murmur before letting his head lower to crush their mouths together. April smiled against his lips and returned his kiss, moaning as she felt his tongue against hers.

As they continued to kiss, Matt let one hand be gentle as it moved up underneath the material of her shirt, fingers stroking over the skin of her stomach. April reached out and pulled his shirt up and over his head, feeling his chest with her hands and hearing him moan against her lips. "Matt…" she said on a strangled gasp when he broke off their kiss then began to kiss down the column of her neck.

Matt smiled against her neck. "Mm-hmm, that's my name."

"Don't tease me…" she said, framing his face in her hands and bringing his mouth back to hers.

"I have no intention of teasing you, April," Matt said. "I'm going to give you nothing but the best."

He cast his eyes downward when he felt her hands at the collar of his shirt before she ripped it in half straight down the middle. "Well, right now, I just want you and not your teasing," she told him.

Matt groaned as he felt his member respond to that and threw his shirt to the floor before swiping everything off the desk, placing April on top of it and removing the rest of their clothes. Then, he drove his member into her core, thrusting hard and fast into her and feeling her gyrations in time with his thrusts.

Two Hours Later – New Orleans

Cassandra finished feeding on the human she and Daniel had stumbled upon then stepped back and gently eased the person down until they were lying on the ground. Daniel watched her and said, "How do you feel, Cassie?"

"I feel…stronger than I've ever been."

"Good. I hope it helps your strength," he said.

Cassandra nodded. "It does, and I have you to thank for it, my love." She sighed. "I never would've been able to live with myself if I hurt Jessica because of my hunger. I also didn't want our daughter to hate me if I attacked her sister."

"But, you didn't, Cassie. You asked me to get you out of there before you hurt someone," Daniel told her as he reached out to bring her into his arms, embracing her gently and resting his chin on top of her head.

Cassandra nodded. "You certainly did." She sighed again. "I love you, Danny."

"I love you too." She smiled when she felt him kiss the top of her head in an affectionate kiss.

A few minutes later, Daniel said, "Did you want to head back or did you want to stay here?"

"I want to head back," she replied. "Caroline and I have plans to go shopping and I want to be back in time for that."

He nodded then put an arm around her shoulders as they sped back to the mansion. Caroline was waiting for her parents when they got back. She had called Belinda to tell her they were still on for shopping. "How was the hunt?"

"Very good," Daniel said. "It was a successful first kill for your mother."

"Great," Caroline said. "Oh, Daddy, Jessica wanted to talk to you about the violin thing."

Daniel nodded. "I'll go talk to her."

Caroline nodded. "Good. You'll find her in the study." Daniel nodded again and, kissing his daughter's cheek, headed into the mansion, leaving Cassandra and Caroline alone.

While he did that, Caroline looked at her mom and asked, "How does it feel to be a vampire, Mama?"

"It's different from being a witch, that's for sure," Cassandra said. "I'm still powerful and I'm definitely stronger."

Caroline nodded. "I'm glad that Daddy is helping you with the control. You two need that extra bonding time," she said with a suggestive smile.

"You sneaky little girl…never mind, it isn't any of my business anyway," Cassandra said as her cheeks turned a bright, cherry red.
