Moving
There were few things that could make Duo's mood lighter on this day. Not strong coffee, not a sneaky smoke, not a lie in bed as shit, he'd been dreading leaving his first true home.
He'd lived in places but all of them had been brief but this house… This house had been different and Duo had imagined the three of them getting old in the place - him and Trowa smoking on the stoop, him and Heero drinking tea while they laid together on their couch, reading on tablets, quietly enjoying each other's company. And then there were the memories of the three of them - memories that went from the mundane to the X-rated. Fucking and blowjobs and handjobs exchanged in various locations, a small smirk on his face as he recalled those moments.
There was little that could cheer him up as the move had been forced - their location compromised, an attempt made on their sanctuary that Duo, alone, had thwarted but it still meant they had to move.
The new apartment was in a high tech high rise - larger space, access to a gym and pool, a rooftop terrace and shit, the size of the bedroom gave Duo's dirty mind a million scenarios but still…
He'd miss this place.
Duo had been little help during the packing up, his wrist dislocated from the scuffle with four armed men breaking into his home so he had "supervised" Heero and Trowa's work, occasionally whistling inappropriately when he saw a hint of abs or ass as they picked up furniture to take the van they'd hired.
And it seemed that only one thing could shake Duo out of his melancholy mood - watching two former trained Gundam pilots figure out how the fuck to get the couch out of the house, swearing and grunting at each other as it seemed it would not fit out of the thin hallway and neither would it go through the back due to the new kitchen counters they'd installed since buying the place.
After hearing threats levelled and worrying that they'd kill each other, Duo intervened.
"Let's leave it here, we can buy a new one and all."
Heero gave one glance to Trowa and instead of holding the couch at an awkward angle to get it around a corner, they backed up, dropping it in the living room with an angry thud.
"We thought you wanted to keep everything from here," Heero said and Duo's eyebrows shot up into his bangs at the comment.
"Yeah, I wanted to keep most of our shit but damn… It's just a couch."
Duo walked over to where Heero looked a little puzzled and he could smell sweat and see the sheen on his skin. It made his pulse race faster and in an instant, he used his good hand and dragged him in for a kiss with teeth and tongue.
The kiss only lasted as long as Duo felt Trowa behind him, nipping at his neck, the action making him moan and slip his mouth away from Heero's lips.
"I just…" Duo started as he batted away Trowa's attention for a moment. "I'm just gonna miss this place and the memories… This was the first place I felt I belonged."
He felt Trowa's mouth on his neck again, this time raining butterfly kisses over his skin and Heero stepped closer.
"We'll have a new home. New memories."
And Duo nodded, his control starting to slip and he panted out words as Heero's hands slid to his chest.
"I think we better say goodbye to the couch… In the best fucking way."
