Chapter 36 (Fabian's pov)

When we got there, Nina was still acting like Mara.

"Oh, we're finally here!"

"Very funny."

"So, who's your boss?"

"His name? Just call him Jack."

"Why?"

"He gets upset when you call him Jackson, Mr. Parks, or pretty much anything else."

"Ok."

We walked inside. My boss was standing there waiting for me.

(Nina's pov)

"Fabian, you were almost late today." A man I'm assuming was Jack said as we walked in.

"Well, I'm not." He replied.

"Go get to work."

"Yes, sir!" Fabian saluted. I couldn't help but laugh.

"And who's the pretty lady there?" He pointed at me.

"This is Nina, my girlfriend." I blushed.

"I thought you were kidding."

"No."

"Is he paying you to be his 'girlfriend'?" Jack put quotation marks around girlfriend. Fabian blushed.

"No." I answered.

"Are you sure?"

"Yes." I laughed.

"I'm sorry. I didn't introduce myself. I'm Jack, Fabian's boss."

"Nina Martin." I shook his hand. Fabian went behind the counter. I got a text.

Nina, where are you and Fabian? I woke up to find Mara on the couch and I couldn't find you anywhere! ~Amber

I'm at work with Fabian. We were out last night and we brought Mara there. She said she wanted to see Joy. ~Nina

Ok, well can you come back here? Mick is starving. ~Amber

I sighed. "Fabian, I need to go back to Amber and Joy's. Amber said Mick is starving."

"Ok. Take this." He handed me some money.

"Why do I need this?" I smiled.

"To pay for your taxi ride and so you can get Mick some food."

"I can pay for it."

"Well, I brought you here and you make breakfast every day."

"You didn't have to do this."

"I want to."

"Thanks, Fabian." I kissed him. I was about to walk out, but Jack caught up to me.

"Ah-ha! He is paying you!"

"No, this is the money for the taxi ride."

"Oh."

"Bye, Jack. Bye, Fabian!"

I waited for the taxi to arrive.
