Light piercing through an opening in the curtains woke Roman up the next morning. His arms were empty and the shower was running. He vaulted from the bed and rushed in to join his woman. Pulling her into his arms he asked, "Why didn't you wake me?"

"You needed your sleep." She turned and curled against his muscular chest. "I slept well in your arms." A contented rumble rolled through him as she rubbed a soapy cloth over his skin. "You took care of me last night. Holding me, hugging me, listening and supporting… Exactly what I needed." The shower rinsed the soap from his pectoral muscles. MiraBeth planted a kiss on the edge of his tattoo. "I know letting Randy in was not easy for you. It goes against everything you believe in… Your possessive, protective nature had to be kicking and screaming."

Roman grabbed the shampoo and lathered her hair into a pile of massive suds. "Not as much as you would think. Waking up covered in your tears did something to me. Finding Randy at the door was like a sign, for lack of a better word." He continued to run his hands through the lather, caressing her scalp. "From what I can gather from the two of you, what you witnessed was h*ll. It is tearing you both to shreds. The fact that the two of you are leaning on each other is… yeah it is hard. But you said that you feel safe in my arms and you are glad I don't have that memory. It's like I can give you a safe place – a harbor from those memories, at least sometimes. If I had been the one beside you, I would be a constant reminder. I guess that makes me glad it was him and not me. It's one bond we don't need to share."

MiraBeth looked up at Roman and smiled. "You get it." She let her hands drift up to feel his collarbone. "We have some interesting memories as it is. You breaking into my house… My dropping you on the floor… Seth p*ssing his pants… We need to keep making new memories to overshadow the crappy ones, not add ones worse than that to the mix."

Roman tilted her head back under the spray. "No mention of holding me at gunpoint, please. That is kind-of a turn off. Just saying'." The soap swirled in the drain. Roman ran his fingers through her hair one more time before turning the water off. "Do you have any idea how much you affect me? I want you." he muttered as he pulled her from the shower and wrapped her in a towel.

"Roman…" she murmured. He hurriedly dried her off and threw the towel on the floor.

MiraBeth had snagged a towel and had tried to pat Roman's back and chest with it, only to find that he threw it on the floor as he scooped her into his arms. "Too close, too long, and I just need you." he explained as he carefully laid her on the bed. He held her thighs open with his shoulders. "Beautiful. Simply beautiful." MiraBeth grasped the sides of the pillow under her head as Roman separated her folds with his forefingers, his hot breath hitting her just so. "I love you, Mira." he whispered just before he opened his mouth wide and buried his tongue deep. She couldn't help the bowing of her body off of the bed as she bit her bottom lip. Roman repeated the motion before switching to sucking on her clit. Mira let go of the pillow and clutched his head, trying not to yank on his hair. When she got lost in the rhythm, rocking hard against his face, Roman growled in excitement. Mira felt him moving but couldn't focus on what was happening until he pulled his mouth free towered over her. Before she could moan in protest he was kneeling over her and slamming home. MiraBeth's squeak of "Roman!" as she bucked against him excited him even further, causing him to thrust against her harder. "Yes, please! Roman!" she encouraged as she rocked against him. He propped her legs over his arms and grabbed her shoulders. Now she was wide open and at his mercy. Harder and harder he took her until she screamed his name. Then and only then did he let go and groan hers.

Releasing her legs, Roman muttered, "Now we can go get breakfast."

MiraBeth swatted his chest playfully. "What, now that you marked me with your scent and made sure I can't walk straight? Now we can go eat breakfast? Good plan, possessive one."

"I thought so." he admitted.

MiraBeth and Roman strolled into the breakfast area arm in arm. Dolph Ziggler froze mid-chew. MiraBeth walked passed and said, "I prefer your old ringlets to the girly braid. Really, Dolph? What real man gets his hair French-braided?" She continued on to the buffet as the men around him gaffawed.

"Did you just throw Dolph to the wolves?" Dean asked as he approached her from behind.

"Yep. Took the stares off of Roman and I, didn't it?" she returned, unapologetically.

"I like your style." Dean said. "So the two of you are okay… Talked and all?" He followed her as she proceeded through the buffet.

"We're good. Thanks for the ear before and switching rooms last night. You're alright." She whispered the last two words as if they were a secret. Dean laughed and held a finger to his mouth. MiraBeth nodded. "Not a word." She took her plate and headed off to join Roman, who was already eating.

Just as the couple was finishing their food, Vince came into the room and quietly joined them. "How are things this morning?"

MiraBeth put her silverware on her plate. "Everyone's good this morning. Dare I ask what you are going to tell me that may change that?"

He shook his head. "I hope not. You can say no." The chairman actually looked nervous. MiraBeth turned to face him. "A detective called this morning. The parents of one of the victims from yesterday's accident want to talk to the people that were with their son when he died." Vince folded his hands on the table. "I don't know if you or you and Randy want to talk to them. Or if either of you can at this point."

MiraBeth glanced at Roman before looking at Vince. "I'll do it."

"I'll go with her." Roman quickly volunteered.

"So will I." Randy said quietly. "The three of us will go."

"Are you sure you can handle…" Vince drug out the question.

"Randy will be fine." MiraBeth assured her boss. "We were there together so we can talk to them together. Roman will be perfect to go as our support."

Happy Easter to you all! Happy Passover to those who celebrate that as well!

All I want for either holiday would be a review - from You! :)
