Andrew's POV
I looked at the chinese place that Sum was looking at. Well even if it didn't look so great I would go anyway. I liked chinese food, but some places are good and some are not.
"Well, yeah I like chinese" I said. Sum looked at me and smiled.
"Good, let's buy some food there" Sum said, pulling me along. I felt my tummy rumble, a great reminder that I hadn't eaten in over a day. I didn't get how Sum was hungry, usually when someone has just dies you're not hungry. Well, maybe that was the case when you'd eaten in the past few hours.
"Can we get takeaway and eat it at the hotel place?" Sum asked. I didn't mind what we did.
"Yeah sure.." I said, opening the door. We walked in and stood at the front desk looking at their menu. I loved singapore noodles, best thing ever. The man walked out and bowed infront of us.
"What would you like to order? Takeaway or eat in?" The man asked.
"Take away" Sum said. She turned to me. "What do you want?" Sum asked.
"Vegetarian singapore noodles" I said. I got vegetarian cause Sum only eats chicken and there was prawns in the normal singapore noodles.
"Ok, we want vegetarian singapore noodles and vegetarian fried rice please" Sum said. The man walked off to the kitchen. I sat down on the big couch which was used as the waiting chair. Sum came and sat next to me.
"Why'd you get vegetarian?" She asked. I laughed a bit, trust her to ask that.
"Incase you wanted some" I replied. Sum kissed me.
"You! Stop kissing in the restaurant" The man snapped. I pulled away from her and looked at the man who was walking away from us now. We both burst into laughter. That guy was super weird. There wasn't a sign on the door or anything that I saw. I looked back on the window just to make sure. There was one of those signs like the 'no smoking' ones except it had lips in it instead of a ciggarette. The man came back with a bag of food.
"Prawn crackers inside" The man said, passing over the bag. "Cash or credit?" He asked. I pulled out my wallet and got out my card.
"Credit card" I said as I put the card on the table.
"Pin or sign" The man said. He was like a robot. He had one voice tone - robot.
"Sign" I sighed. He printed off the reciept and passed it to me. I scribbled my signature and pushed the reciept and pen back towards him. I picked up my card.
"Thanks" I mumbled picking up the bag and walking towards the door. I held the door open for Summer and walked out. I had to see that no kissing sign. I could tell that people had tried to graffiti it, it had little bits of rubbed out black around it.
"See, read the sign. Gosh Summer. You naughty girl. No kissing!" I said sarcastically, Sum laughed. We crossed the road and got into the hotel just in time. It started to rain just as we got in. We walked over to the desk.
"Hello. Do you have a room booked?" The man at the desk asked.
"Yeah, it's probably under my Dad.. So Paul Robinson?" I said. The man typed the name in his computer.
"Ahh... You've got room 14. Upstairs. Do you need two rooms or are you fine being together?" The man asked, handing over the card to open the door.
"We're fine, thanks" Sum said. She started walking towards the stairs. I smiled at the man and ran after her.
"As if that guy thinks we need seperate rooms.. Like we care" Sum said. I agreed with her, we weren't like 14.. We walked up the stairs and saw the 14 sticker on the door second closest to the stairs. I swiped the card, just like at Lassiters and turned the door handle. I took out the card and walked in. I got out the 'don't disturb' door hanger and stuck it on the other end of the door. I shut the door and walked over to Sum who was sitting on the tiny couch. I put the bag down on the table and pulled out Sum's fried rice, I passed it to her.
"Thanks" She said, pulling apart the chopsticks. "You know how to use these?" She asked. I had been pretty much all over the world, I had to use chopsticks often so I was pretty good with using them.
"Yeah" I said, putting my hand on her fingers and moving them into the places they needed to be. With my other hand I pulled the lid off the container and held it up.
"Hold the container" I said, I put her hand with the chopsticks into the container. I pinched her fingers together so that the chopsticks would grab onto the food. I dragged her hand up to her mouth.
"Open wide!" I said, she opened and I guided her chopsticks into her mouth. She bit down so I took the chopsticks out of her mouth.
"Now you try" I said, holding out the chopsticks. She grabbed them from me and I reached into the bag and pulled mine out. I cracked apart the chopsticks and opened the box.
"Do you want some?" I asked holding out the box.
"Alright, do you want some of mine?" She asked. I put my chopsticks in the box and picked out some noodles. I held them out to Sum and she opened her mouth and pulled them off with her teeth.
"Yeah ok" I said, putting my chopsticks into her container. Both of our foods were pretty good, for an Australian chinese shop. Nothing compares to the real thing in China. Sum kept on trying to pick up the rice except it all fell everywhere.
"***** this! I'm getting a spoon!" She said, standing up to go to the cutlery drawer. She bought back two forks and put one next to me. She sat back down on the couch and put her head on my shoulder. I quickly ate and then threw the empty box at the table.
"Score" I said, the box stood up perfectly on the table. Sum laughed and passed me her container.
"I'm full" She said. I looked and saw that she had eaten most of it. I quickly ate the last bit of hers and stood up to take everything to the bin. I dropped it in the bin and walked over to the bedroom. All of our bags were sitting on the bed. Sum walked in and pulled the doona off the bed.
"What are you doing?" I asked.
"Going to watch tv on the recliner chair with the blanket. Oh, and you.." She said, pulling me along with her. The chair she was walking about was a one person chair. I sat down first because she would have to sit on me. I didn't want to squash her.. She picked up the remote and switched on the tv. Sum walked over to me and sat down on me, putting her head back on the chair. I pulled out the recliner part and found there was more room. I put my arm around Sum's stomach and pulled her back.
"So, you know how you said you were suicidal... Were you serious?" I asked, Sum turned around on the chair and shifted her body so that she was fully facing me.
"Yeah, I was" Sum said, I could see tears come back to her eyes. "Don't worry, I won't kill myself or anything" Sum whispered.
"Oh, Sum. Don't even try to do it" I said, I felt like I was about to start crying. "I don't ever want to lose you Sum" I said, I sounded like such a girl. I was crying now, I tried to stop myself but I couldn't.
"Andrew, you won't lose me" She said, hugging me. "So you're fine now?" She asked.
"Yeah, I guess..." I said. She looked at me and smiled. Then she started kissing me like she did when we were infront of Boyd. Sum started to pull up my shirt, which I just realised was still damp from before. I thought she was trying to make out with me. I couldn't let her do that. She wasn't thinking straight. I pulled off her and took off my shirt myself.
"Nothing else ok" I said, stroking her cheek. She looked up at me and put her head on my chest.
"Sum.." I said, before realising she was asleep on me. So much for watching tv...
