This is for Logan! Oh and it's not a songfic cause I'm pretty sure they're against the rules plus I don't like songfics, but it will be based on the song.
Disclaimer: I do not own Kickin' It.
Can I Have This Dance
Jack's P.O.V
Kim and I have free period right now so we're just walking around the halls of the school, hand in hand and talking, peacefully.
"What do you have next?" I asked.
"We have the same class, doofus." She reminded me.
"I knew that…" I said, a little embarrassed.
She rolled her eyes and sarcastically replied, "Sure, you did."
Then a frown came to her face.
"What's wrong Kimmy? I can't have my girl upset."
She smiled and giggled for a second then said, "I'm just sad that prom is still a couple years away." The frown returning to her face. I don't like it when Kim's sad, it hurts me knowing that she's upset when I could be doing something to stop it.
"Awe, please smile Kimmy, you know I hate it when you frown." I told her as she rested her head on my shoulder.
I saw a small smile on her face and she replied, "I know. Sorry Jackie…"
"No, don't be sorry Kim, I know how to make you happy though." I told her, smiling sweetly.
She took her head off my shoulder and said, "I think it's going to make you happier…"
Haha, Kim knows me too well.
"Maybe…" I whispered, trailing off as I leaned down and gave her a kiss.
As we pulled apart, I smiled at Kim dreamily and she laughed at me before resting her head back on my shoulder.
"Hey, don't think about Kimmy, when Jack Brewer is your boyfriend, anything can happen." I told her with a wink.
She blushed with a big smile, a smile that always warms my heart.
The bell rang so Kim and I rushed over to our classroom. We had health class with Ms. Applebaum.
We sat beside each other and Applebaum started the lesson when everyone else came in, and by 'started the lesson' I mean she watched a slide show of pictures of Rudy, while we did whatever we wanted.
Some nerds where doing worksheets, jocks were playing paper football, girls were gossiping and giggling and Kim and I were just talking.
"Hey Kimmy, you know I'd do anything to make you happy right?" I asked her softly.
She nodded with a sweet smile before saying, "I know Jackie, because your tell me all the time."
"Yeah, but I tell you that because it's true. I love you Kimmy, of course I wanna keep you happy, you have the most beautiful smile." I told her, honestly. Everything I said was true. And keeping Kimmy happy includes making sure she gets the prom she wants.
"Do just love to make me blush…?" Kim asked me, with a smile, her cheeks starting to turn pink.
"Yep, because it makes you cuter." I told her sweetly, then kissed her cheek.
"Do you ever say anything to me that isn't sweet?" Kimmy asked me, her smile radiating her whole face.
I shook my head, then said, "See Kimmy, that smile of yours," I held her chin, and put my thumb near the corner of her smile, "Always shows when I compliment you, and that's what always makes my day better."
She blushed again we both started to lean in and kissed. Every time I kiss this girl, it's amazing.
Once we pulled away, out of the corner of my eye, I noticed a jock about to beat up one of the nerds.
"Be right back." I quickly said to Kim before running over and grabbing the guy's fist just as he swung.
"You probably shouldn't have down that." I said seriously. I hate it when a bunch of jerks try to hurt others, it just gets on my nerves.
I flipped him and helped the nerd out before going back over to Kim.
She smirked and said, "Good Job Jack." I just winked at her.
After school, we met up with the guys at the dojo and once Kim went into the changing room, I asked them to help me out.
"Guys, listen, Kim's really upset that proms not coming for another couple years, and I wanna do something special for her."
"Wow. That's really sweet of you Jack, so what do you want to do?" Milton replied.
I explained to them that I need their help setting up and after a couple confused comments from Jerry, they finally understood and we walked into the changing rooms to start practice.
"Guys, let's start practice, Milton I wanna show you how to use a bo-staff, Kim, Jack can you help Jerry break some boards?" Rudy said as he walked out of his office and over to us, after we walked out of the changing rooms.
"Sure Rudy." Kim and I said in unison.
Rudy took Milton over to one side of the room and Kim, Jerry and I set up some cinderblocks to hold up the boards for Jerry.
Jerry began breaking some boards, starting with one and adding another as he went on. When he got to about four, Kim and I stopped him to make sure he could do it without breaking any bones.
"Yo, I'm totally swag, I can do this!" He told us and adjusted his hand before lowering his hand and breaking the board.
"Whoa! That's great Jerry!" Kim said happily.
"Awesome job man!" I agreed.
"WHOOO! I told you I was swag, yo!" He cheered.
He kept going but stopped when he got to seven because we decided anymore would be too many for him. Jerry did really well though, he's really improving.
We looked over to see Milton doing a cool routine with a bo-staff. I'm really proud of the guys, they're doing great these days.
After practice, we were all about to head out when I stopped Kim.
"Kimmy, I heard they're having an early prom for us at school." I told her and a huge smile came onto her face. I love my Kimmy.
"That's great! When is it?" She asked me happily.
"Um…Be at school, tomorrow afternoon at 5pm." I told her, smiling back. She nodded and kissed my cheek before running out.
The Next Day, At School
My plan is working, the guys helped me set up the school hall so it looked pretty cool and I got Kim to come down here.
It Saturday so no one's at school but me. I was trying to look a little fancy so I wore a plain white V-neck and a fancy black jacket, but stuck to jeans.
Kim walked into the school, looking so beautiful in her pink knee-length dress.
We had set up the hall with colorful lights and a banner that read, 'Prom!' it looked amazing and so did Kim.
"Hey Kimmy, you look amazing." I told her as I walked over to her.
She smiled at me and replied, "Thanks Jack. You look really cute." I smiled at her, "So where's the prom?"
"Right here." I said and signaled Milton (who was hiding somewhere) to start the music. He played a slow song and I held out my hand to Kim.
"Can I have this dance?" I asked her, she smiled.
Then I held out my hand while saying, "Take my hand?" She laughed softly then held my hand.
I began leading her around the hall, spinning her around and swaying to the music and said,
"Keep your eyes locked to mine." Which made her giggle while we stared deep into each other's eyes.
I dipped her a little bit and she looked a little surprised,
So I said, "You'll be safe with me."
She smiled at me and after that I spun her away and back to me, putting my hands on her waist while saying, "Don't be afraid. I'll catch you through it all."
We just kept dancing for a while, until the song ended. It was a magical moment dancing with Kim. It gave me butterflies and blew sparks in my mind.
As the ending came, I lifted her onto the steps and then sat down followed by Kim sitting beside me.
"Why'd you do all this?" Kim asked, while giggling.
"I told you Kimmy, I'd do anything to keep you smiling." She smiled and then we both leaned in and kissed.
Once again, that was for Logan, hope you liked it! (Based on the song from HSM3 Can I have this dance)
