Chapter 37
"While I may look at things with your viewpoint Severus, there is only one slight problem." Dumbledore told Snape pensively, the man stared at him in confusion. "How are you going to get Lily to see the same situation your way?"
"So you're just going to kick me out of Order meetings?" Lily shrieked, the teenagers who had been hitting stink pellets back and forth at each other a few floors above froze and crinkled their nose at the horrible explosion of bad smell.
"I've found that you are just as much a risk as Harry is in the meetings Lily, if you wish to continue participating we'll have to find some other way for you to be included. We can of course bring you back into the fold if you wish for Harry to be a part of the order too, but for now, I think it is safest for you to stay on the sidelines." Albus was saying, there was no need for extendable ears as it seemed the whole house had gone quiet and nothing was to move or make a single sound or it would be hexed violently.
"Sev?" Harry leaned over, peering down towards the kitchen. Lily as standing in the doorway, Dumbeldore couldn't be seen, but Severus Snape could. He was still and silent and only jerked his head a little bit in reply.
"Fine, fine I'll leave if you think I'm such a risk to the Order." She turned and stomped out of Grimmauld Place altogether.
"So it's not only us, they're kicking out adults too." Fred commented with a frown.
"I feel like they're targeting my mum and me particularly." Harry let his legs dangle through the railing as he pressed his face against the iron bars.
"It does seem that way, but it doesn't make any sense at all." Hermione's eyes narrowed.
"I want to get to the bottom of this,"
-oOo-
Harry was hiding under the invisibility cloak near the front door of Grimmauld Place, the meeting had just come to a close and he was waiting for Snape to leave. His mother had not returned and he had a feeling the potions master would go after her. When the cloaked figure swept through the group and down the stairs, Harry ran after him, pulling the cloak off his form as he ran. His footsteps echoed off the sidewalk and Snape turned to face him, the cloak falling off his head.
"What are you doing out of the house?"
"I need to talk to you."
"I thought we had finished talking last week,"
"My mum leaves the house because she can't be in the order anymore and you think we were done talking last week?"
"My plan backfired on me,"
"What plan?"
"I was trying to get you in the order along with the Weasley kids and Miss Granger, but it backfired and got Lily removed instead."
"How on earth did that happen?"
"Dumbledore has a theory about you and something about Voldemort, I brought up the point that Lily has the same connection you do and instead of him understanding you need as much information as Lily does, he kicked her out as a solution."
"What are you going to do now?"
"I'm going to find your mum and then I'm going to tell her everything that's going on in the meetings."
"Well if you're going to tell her, then what about me? If we're equally as dangerous as you say-"
"I have to tell you separately from her, Lily would be upset if you were to know 'too much'."
"So there will be almost two orders?"
"You could look at it that way, yes." Harry grinned.
"When will you give us our information then?"
"I'll come over for dinner tomorrow and I'll see what I can do to get alone with you all."
"Thank you Professor, you're a really nice guy to be around." Snape froze in his walk and stared down at Harry. The corner of Severus' mouth twitched up slightly and then Harry turned and ran back to the house, swinging his father's invisibility cloak over him.

"Well, if we're going to be another order made up of a younger generation, we're going to need a name." Hermione announced, they had gathered in Harry's room after dinner.
"Order of the Children," Fred stated jokingly. Ginny rolled her eyes.
"I think we should hold off on a name for now, it's not the most important part. All I care about is the information we're going to get." She said leaning back against Harry's bed.
"You're sure the information we're going to be getting from Snape is accurate though, right?" Ron sounded skeptical.
"Of course I am. He's dating my mum and I trust him,"
"Don't have much choice, do we?" George stared up at the ceiling.
"If Harry trusts him, then I do." Hermione decided and it seemed to decide it for everyone else as well. They were to become a new order under the direction of Professor Severus Snape.
