Chapter 37 (Saiya's POV)
"Saiya, save your energy for Orochimaru," Kakashi said softly, putting his hand gently on my arm.
I sighed, "You're right."
"Just follow my lead okay?" Kakashi said quietly and all of a sudden, he raised his arms up in the air and pronounced loudly. "I surrender! Don't hurt me!"
"We all surrender," I said hesitantly, then put my arms up slowly.
"Who are you?" a harsh voice came from behind us. "And drop all of your weapons!"
Sakura and Naruto looked at us questioningly, and I nodded. They slowly lowered their weapons and removed their weapons' pouches.
None of us spoke, but we disarmed as we were told.
"We wish to speak to the owner of this…establishment," Kakashi said ushering toward the building that we assumed Orochimaru was using as his hideout.
"And what makes you think we'd let you do that?" a man came around and smirked.
He was average height, shaggy blond hair, and fair skin tone. The only striking feature were his eyes; one was golden brown and the other was as black as night. When his gaze landed on Kakashi, his eyes grew wide with astonishment, then with glee.
"You are Kakashi Hatake, better known as the Copycat Ninja," he said excitedly. "Master will be thrilled to have you in his possession."
Then he made his way over to Sakura and shook his head, "We'll make do with you."
But as his gaze landed on me, his mouth cracked into a smile, "Oh, you are the one he wants most. He's waiting for you. Follow us."
And with that more ninja popped out of the ground and trees from all around. They formed a barrier around us and led us inside. They weren't as stupid as they seemed; once we entered the building, they shackled our hands together. Naruto and Sakura held doubtful looks on their faces, but I realized what Kakashi meant for us to do; if we surrender ourselves, we'd be able to get to see Orochimaru without using any of our chakra whatsoever. We'd be ready to fight our way out.
"Don't try to fight," the blond man spoke to us again. "These chains are one of a kind. If you try to channel any chakra through your body, these will suck them right out, making them even harder to break out of."
My eyes widened with horror; although Kakashi kept pretty calm.
"Oh, and they're fire-proof," he smirked at me, and I started shaking out of anger.
It took all of my self-control to not explode there and then.
"Pooh, I think I hit a nerve there didn't I?" he leaned in and smiled. "Why don't you let it out? I dare you."
"Saiya," Kakashi warned me.
I took in a deep breath, "You need a breath mint, seriously."
He looked taken aback, but pulled away and led us away. We followed with our entourage. Eventually, we arrived into a cavernous room, with high ceilings, and all lit by candles. Sitting in the middle of the room on a black throne, surrounded by the most candles I have ever seen in my life, was the one and only Orochimaru.
