Authors Note: I do not own 'Inuyasha' or 'Prince of Tennis' [They're just there: Main focus is Sessho/Rin] characters, though I added some of my own. This will be my VERY first Inuyasha/Prince of Tennis Fic, go easy on me. I'm not very good with my grammar. Enjoy.

Chapter Thirty-Eight

Rin woke up alone in bed, her eyes began to focus and landed on the note that is on the end table. She lazily picked it up and read:

Hi sweetheart,

You're staying home and relax. Please, don't attempt to leave the house. Wait for me to come home, I'll try to come back as early as possible.

I love you,

- Sesshomaru

She burst into fits of giggles after reading the note. 'So sweet.'

Baby and Marin got on the bed on each side of her, Rin smiled and snuggled them close. She grabbed her iPhone and took a picture.

Sesshomaru is in the middle of a conference when his iPhone started to vibrate silently, he realized it was a text message from Rin with an image attach to it.

Rin texted: Good morning darling ^0^

The image is Rin with the dogs on either side of her, under the covers and only their faces is showing. Sesshomaru almost burst out laughing but it came out like a forced cough but everyone in the room seem to have taken it just fine, it is pretty chilly outside. The image made his heart flutter, despite his usual stoic façade outside but inside his smiling from ear to ear.

He carefully and secretly texted back: What a sight, wish I could have cuddled with you a bit more but I have another meeting after this. I'll be home in the afternoon.

Back at the house, Rin is already dressed and eating her cocoa cereal. When her phone received a text, she jumped on it. She smiled.

She replied: That's ok, I have a lot of things to do so let me know when you are on your way home so I can start making dinner.

At the office, Sesshomaru almost dropped his glass of water at her last statement. 'It's like a wife waiting for her husband to come home…'

He replied: I'll be home by 5PM and no later. We can walk the dogs after dinner.

Rin have taken out some ingredients from the pantry, cupboards and fridge. Her phone sounded off from the counter, she quickly picked it up. Her excitement increased.

She texted: That's fine, I'll have dinner ready for you. Focus on your work and I'll see you later.

Sesshomaru slightly sighed at her text and felt somewhat neglected, he wanted to text with her more. He then realized that everyone in the room is staring at him, the speaker looked nervous and his assistant looked amused.

"I-is my explanation did not please you, sir?" The general manager from the International Import Department looked worried, "Would you like me to change -…"

"Just one, the shipping department needs to be more careful of how they are wrapping and boxing the products. The number of complaints is low but it's possible we can get rid of those negatives if we deal with the problem better. Talk to your people, motivate them and don't go cheap on our equipment's." Sesshomaru smoothly said, "I'll make my rounds sometime today and tomorrow for inspections."

"Please, continue with your report."

The man looked relief, he even seemed excited. "Yes, let me continue with our successful rate for the 10th month in a row…"

The day continued. Sesshomaru started from top to bottom, the last stop is the shipping department. Everything is according to the manager's report, shipments are being taken out accordingly and everything is up to date.

There was something that bothered Sesshomaru.

"You mentioned that our equipment are counted daily, by whom?" Sesshomaru asked.

"Ah, let me see." The general manager and his assistant-manager went through their schedule. "These five people, they're my night crew and that one is my night supervisor."

The names matched from the list that Morisato have sent him. Sesshomaru didn't even blinked. "I would like you, your assistant-manager, both your assistants and shift managers count the equipment yourselves. I would like to receive your report within the next two hours."

The General Manager didn't question him, he started calling out orders to his people. Sesshomaru walked away with his assistant, Leo Young, at the entrance of the department are Morisato and Ijiun waiting for them.

"Go on ahead Leo, you know what to do." Sesshomaru said.

Leo nodded, he grinned. "No one noticed but I did, sir, you were distracted by whoever you were texting to."

Morisato grinned, "Oh, Rin-chan texted you during your meeting and you answered?"

Leo blinked, "Oh, who's Rin-chan?"

"Sesshomaru's little young wife." Ijiun teased.

Leo's eyes shinned with curiosity, "Oh? This is first I've heard of this."

Sesshomaru didn't comment, he sighed. "She's at home, I told her to stay home and not go to school."

"Eh? She's staying with you and she attends school?" Leo looked shocked, his stoic persona depleting, he turned to Ijiun, "Iji-san, who is this little woman?"

"Rin Inu No. Sesshomaru's wife." Ijiun teased further.

Morisato broke into fits of laughter. Sesshomaru glared at him and Leo turned beat red.

"Sir, you got married and didn't invite me?" Leo pouted, "I thought we were friends?"

"Calm down, Leo, I haven't even proposed yet." Sesshomaru sighed, he glared at Ijiun, "That's enough from you and wipe that grin off your face. Those people that are from the shipping department starts at 3PM today so don't screw up, get them to talk."

"No problem, you should get going yourself." Ijiun smiled, "They're waiting for you."

Sesshomaru started walking down the hall to the front door. "I know, I'm leaving. Leo, keep me updated of what's going on. I'll come back first thing tomorrow morning."

Leo stoic face returned, "Yes sir."

When Sesshomaru turned around the corner, his flamboyant façade returned. He looked at Ijiun and Morisato, "Tell me what you both know, now…"

Rin hummed to herself as she painted cherry blossoms on the canvases, a flowing gentle breeze style of image. Each small petals have tiny writing that Niname-sensei have requested. A love song: How did you know by Chiqui Pineda

Rin didn't know this song so she checked it out. The song itself is sweet and very admirable, perfect for Niname-sensei's feelings.

This painting is for Subaru-sensei.

Excited even more, she put detail on the petals when her alarm on her iPhone went off. 'Ah, the oven!'

She put down the brush, run out the room and down the stairs. Opening the oven, she smiled at how perfect her cake turned out. "Now, I have to let it cool down before I spread the icing."

Marin and Baby barked at her. Rin giggled, "Tomorrow is Sessho's birthday and after yesterday, I doubt we will have time to go anywhere. So, we're going to celebrate early."

The dogs whined and laid down on the floor as they watched Rin get busy around the kitchen.

"Ok, I got the beef stew in the slow cooker and by the time Sessho gets home, it will be ready along with the cake." Rin started mixing the ingredients for the icing. "Strawberry cream filling with vanilla icing."

"I hope Sessho likes this."

Sesshomaru didn't expect to be brought up to the main office floor as quickly as he did, 'They must be expecting me more than I realized.'

He stood near the window, looking down below and admired the view though his own office in his Father's building is pretty much the similar height, it is still amazing.

A petite young woman in a very attractive suit approached him, "Inu No-san, they're ready to see you now. Come this way."

Sesshomaru didn't reply, he followed the woman to the amazingly detailed redwood double door. The woman knocked twice before opening it but she didn't go inside, she opened it wide for Sesshomaru.

Inside, the three of them stood around their Father. They look so similar that it wasn't hard to see the resemblance that Rin have inherit from that side of the Family, it was very eerie.

"Hello, young Sesshomaru." Renusuke Murasame greeted with a very friendly smile, he stood up. "How are you, my boy?"

Sesshomaru approached the large oak table, "Beside the thorn on my side, I'm doing very well, sir."

"I'm sure they have been. Your Father is still in Hong Kong doing damaged control. You and your brother, Inuyasha, are holding up very well without him." Renusuke laughed, "Just as expected from the sons of Taisho."

"I do admire your dedication of keeping my lovely granddaughter from harm's way, we appreciate it."

Sesshomaru stoic face didn't change. "Rin's safety is my responsibility and I won't allow anything happening to her. That is why I am here."

"To ask for your help, the Wang are targeting her because of me."

Renusuke nodded slightly, "Ijiun-san mentioned it to his report this morning. They're such a pain in our behind and how dare they attack our girl!"

"Listen to me, Sesshomaru. Rin is very special and my only Granddaughter, I pacifically and carefully chosen an Inu No to be her future groom and that is you. We are also aware that you two have deeper feelings for each other and that, we support."

Renusuke smiled, "We will help you but there is one condition…"

Sesshomaru eyed the older man. "What is it?"

"You must convince my two hardheaded grandsons that you are worthy of their little sisters hand." Renusuke said with distain in his voice. "You see, my dear wife is staying with them in America at the moment and she allowed herself to get lost into her stories. She mentioned you and how close you are to their baby sister, that it's just more than just mere friendship…"

Sesshomaru didn't feel threatened at all, "I see…"

"Yuki and Aki are still in school." It was the eldest, Ryuki who seemed to be very amused. "They're racing to finish so they can come here. I've already notify Muyu of what happened, she will be home this Friday."

"We apologize in advance that they are going to be more of a problem to you than the Wang. They're very protective of their sister."

"I told them long ago that Rin is engage to you since birth but they told me that they will fight for her freedom and take her away." Renusuke sigh, "They're my grandsons, so please, go easy on them."

"They mean well, thinking that their sister is being forced to follow the engagement plan." Ryouichi grinned, "Though I do doubt that Ai is being forced to do anything she doesn't want to."

"Ryuu mentioned of you date this weekend and how happy she looked. Truthfully, if Ai decided she doesn't like you, all she need to do is say so and Father will break the engagement just as fast as he decided it."

"I don't think that is needed." Ryuu laughed. "Simply tolerate the boys, Sesshomaru, they're the same age as Inuyasha and they share the same temper. I'm sure you can handle it and with Ai's help, they'll accept you just as we all do."

"Ai is worth fight for…"

"I'll fight for her." Sesshomaru declared, "So, prove my worth to her brothers and you will help us break down the Wang Family?"

"That is correct." Renusuke nodded. "It will also wipe them out financially and influences. Joo Wang will be behind bars from all the crimes and deceits he have done the last twenty years. His wife, she's someone who is friends with my wife secretly and begged us to help her. A nightmare living under that household, the disgusting man is twisted just as his Father was."

Despite himself, Sesshomaru have to ask. "And Kagura?"

"That poor woman is a lost cost." Ryuu sighed, "She's been in the hospital the past two days."

"What?" Sesshomaru looked shocked. "Two days?"

"Yes, it seem she overdosed herself with Prozac. Her blood is also injected by some sort of drug, she's in a comma." Ryuu crossed his arms, "What's worse is that she lost her baby."

"Baby?" Sesshomaru couldn't help but get angry at that point. "Ryuu-san, do you know who the Father is?"

It wasn't long before the whole room turned cold and every male in the room realized the deeper meaning behind Sesshomaru's words.

Ryuki looked completely disgusted. "He didn't…"

"His own..."

Ryouichi couldn't even speak, he was turning a little green at the thought.

Ryuu was on the phone. "Yes, take the sample and find out any similarities to the family gene. This is top secret, do not speak of this to no one. Call me after you get the result, thank you."

Renusuke sadly rubbed the bridge of his nose, "The girl have been screaming for help this whole time and all we saw is a bad behavior of a very spoiled child."

Sesshomaru is beyond himself. Angry and then some realization hit him. "If Kagura isn't behind the attack against Rin, then…"

This didn't go well for Renusuke and his sons either. "Joo Wang must have figured it out. His trying to take her by force. Sesshomaru, where is Rin?"

"At home, my brother's men and two of my detective friends are watching the building." Though he said it, he checked his phone: 4:15PM. "I must returned home, sir, she is expecting me home in forty-five minutes."

"Don't allow her to go to school if you can help it but if she complains, don't let her out of your sight." Renusuke instructed. "He must be crazy. Watch yourself. We will call you if we found out the result of Miss Wang's baby blood test."

Sesshomaru bowed, "Thank you for your time, gentleman, I'll take my leave now."

With that he left the room. In the hallway, he dialed Rin's number. She picked up in one ring.

'Hi love, are you on your way?' Rin's cheerful tone made his heart leap.

"I'm fine, sweetheart. How are you?" Sesshomaru pressed the button for the elevator. "No one tried to get in the building have they?"

'Hm? No, no one have called up here.' Rin replied. 'Everything alright?'

"Don't answer the intercom, let it go and don't open the door for anyone if they happened to get up there by force. I'm on my way home and explain to you what have happened." Sesshomaru took a step back when the door slide opened, "Rin, I talk to you later…-!"

Sesshomaru just hanged up the phone when the door opened, he stopped short. Inside the elevator cart is no other than the man who is causing all the trouble for his family and to the girl he loves.

Joo Wang, looking smug and devilish. "Well, it's the young Sesshomaru. How are you?"

Sesshomaru stood tall and felt his anger rising by a second. "Mr. Wang, what are you doing here?"

"I have a meeting with Murasame-san. You know, business." Joo grinned.

"And what business would that be? You forced your way in here without proper invitation or appointment, what it is you want." It was Renusuke, along with his sons. "Sesshomaru, come here and stand by me."

Sesshomaru didn't argue, he moved.

"Well, isn't this convenient. I was going to talk to you first before I talk to the young man here about a certain discovery I've been… well… informed." Joo smile made Sesshomaru's blood boil. He slipped a manila envelope out from his jacket pocket, "These are pictures that I've collected over the last few years, and I thought now would be a good time to show them to you."

"Eri, please, leave the room." Ryuu said to the girl behind her desk. "Go to William and stay there awhile."

The secretary from earlier stood up quickly got up and left the hall. Joo watched the girl go with interest, this didn't go unnoticed to the rest who is watching him.

"Get to it Mr. Wang, we don't have all day." Renusuke frowned.

Joo snickered as he opened the manila envelope and spread the contents inside. "I wonder what your wife would say if he finds out about your little affair with this lovely lady that work under Taisho Inu No, I believe her name is, Muyu Takashi."

"I mean, such a pretty young lady so very sweet looking. I couldn't -."

"You mean, Mu-chan? My daughter?" Renusuke grinned, "Your sources are so inefficient with their work that they didn't give you that information?"

"Y-your daughter? Don't play me, you don't have any daughters!" Joo looked annoyed. "This is an affair between you and this woman, don't deny it!"

"I do so have daughters, all of my sons are married after all." Renusuke amusingly smiled, "Four daughters-in-law!"

Joo was taken back, he couldn't believe what he is hearing. Then he spread the pictures around until he saw something he wanted, he picked it up and showed it to Sesshomaru and Renusuke, "This girl is that woman's daughter, he looks a lot like you don't you think so, Mr. Murasame. This girl, she's been staying and having dates with Sesshomaru the last month."

Renusuke smiled, "My only precious granddaughter? Your people are very inefficient with their field work."

"You're G-granddaughter?" Joo gasped at the news.

"Looks like the cats out of the bag…" Ryuu smirked at his brothers who snickered.

The photo is of Rin holding onto Sesshomaru's arm, her beautiful smile radiant, shining through the photograph and it was enough to make Sesshomaru snatch the photo away from him. "You better keep your distance away from her, Mr. Wang."

At this point, Joo didn't get the reaction he wanted from the Murasame but it seem it lit a fire under the young Inu No heir. "Oh? What would the public say if they find out about your young affair? If I were you, Sesshomaru, I'll -."

"I don't give a fuck about the public." Sesshomaru coldly interrupt. "They can write and say whatever they want, they can fuck themselves. Tell them that."

Joo Wang took a step back, he couldn't believe what he is hearing. He came here, to get the upper hand on the Murasame and might have the chance to blackmail Sesshomaru Inu No but it seems that the odds are against him. "Don't joke with me. Your Father will be furious with you with that sort of statement. Your family reputation will go down the drain!"

"I doubt my Father will care if it's coming out of your mouth, Mr. Wang." Sesshomaru easily replied.

Renusuke laughed, everyone looked at him. "That young beautiful girl is my third son, Ramaru Murasame, who married into Muyu Takashi's family."

More surprises, Joo couldn't keep up. He knew that Renusuke's third son disappeared years ago and he couldn't be found. "You allowed him to marry into somebody else's family?"

"What business would that be to you? It was a family affair." Renusuke grinned. "But yes, I did allowed it. Muyu Takashi is actually Muyu Murasame and that young girl in the photo with Sesshomaru…"

"Her name is Rin Takashi to the public but her full given birth name is Rin Aiyuki Elizabeth Murasame. My only granddaughter, I would prefer you keep your distance from her."

"Oh, are you threatening me, Mr. Murasame?" Joo eyes widen from the older man's threat.

Sesshomaru took three step forward to Joo. Ryuki and Ryuu moved as well, they each grab Sesshomaru's arm but that didn't stop the young man from towering over the elder man before him. "Keep your distance from my fiancé, Mr. Wang. Or you'll find yourself in a situation you'll never get yourself out."

"That's a threat. You can also write that down in the papers if you dare…"

Joo couldn't believe his own ears, he just heard Sesshomaru said that this young girl is his fiancé? "Y-your fiancé? That girl is only fourteen years old!"

"It's legal with the family consent." Renusuke looked bored. "They're been betrothed since birth. It's a written contract between me and Taiki Inu No, Sesshomaru's Grandfather."

This new information didn't go well with Joo's plans. He turned around and pressed the elevator button. "You're all insane. The public will love the headlines what I'm about to tell them, just watch me! I won't forget this humiliation!"

When the door closes, Ryuu frowned. "What an arrogant man! He was the one who came here to blackmail us in the first place!"

"Let him go, tell Eri to contradict whatever nonsense that man is going to say to the press." Renusuke said, he patted Sesshomaru's shoulder. "Go home to your girl, Sesshomaru, I'm sure you two got a lot to talk about now that Joo Wang knows of your engagement."

"Let me know what you do have decided."

"What are you planning to do now?" Sesshomaru asked.

Renusuke grinned. "To tell you the truth, I'm looking forward to Wang's declaration of war. My decision have changed, I'll help you with him but my grandsons are another matter. You still have to prove yourself to them, for Rin's hand."

This wasn't a surprise to Sesshomaru, he nodded. "I'm looking forward to it."

Renusuke laughed. "I'm sure. Those two are tricky, you'll have your hands full. Protect Rin and take care of those around you. My boys and I will handle Joo Wang and his press, don't worry."

"If there's anything else, I'll contact you."

"I'll take my leave then." Sesshomaru pressed the call button for the elevator. He turned and look at the men who watched him with interest, he bowed low before straightens his back to look at them seriously, "I do love her and I'll fight anyone who tries to take her from me. Her happiness means more to me than anything else…"

"I just want you all to know that I'm not playing 'house' or leading her on. I'm in for the keeps."

The door opens and Sesshomaru entered the cart, he smiled. "From now on, her home is with me. I'll inform Muyu-san of her permanent change of address."

With that, the door closed. Leaving four very amused men.

"Dad, are you going to allow him to do that?" Ryouichi asked his Father.

"Why? Are you going to get in his way?" Renusuke turned to his son.

"I'm fine with it." Ryuu said, "It's not like they haven't been living together."

"You're not exactly young anymore, Ryou." Ryuki grinned. "He will beat you."

Ryouichi sighed, "Ai's fourteen… I thought, maybe, like she's eighteen before we hand her over to Sesshomaru…"

"She's still a baby…"

"Don't let Ai hear you say that." Ryuki patted his brother's shoulder. "She'll get mad."

"Ai hates anyone who treats her like a baby." Ryuu agreed. "That's due to Ramaru's influences. He raised her into a young woman but at the same time spoil her like a little princess."

"A true Murasame Princess." Renusuke smiled proudly, "That's my boy…"

"We miss him too, Dad." Ryuu smiled, his eyes misty at the thought of his elder brother.

The other two didn't utter a word, their heads low and eyes closed. Preventing tears from slipping through their lids. They miss their brother and they'll never forget him.

"We will protect Muyu and Ai, which is our sworn promise to him." Renusuke took a deep breathe. "Joo Wang will always remember the day he declare war against us."

"Let's go boys, we have lots of things to do."

"I can't wait for Ai's call later." Ryuu grinned as he followed his Father back to his office. "Wonder what Sesshomaru's reaction would be…"

Sesshomaru scanned his surroundings as he parked his car. Though it's a private gated garage, anyone smart enough could still get inside but only as far as the elevator. They need special keys and codes for the door. So far, nothing seem to be out of order and the security up front are also being watched. He also informed Inuyasha of Joo Wang's intentions and his declaration toward the Murasame, the younger Inu No boy just laughed.

He also called his parents. True, Taisho doesn't care about whatever speech Joo is going to tell the press. He is actually proud of his son for standing up to him, very proud of him. Even Izayoi couldn't help be praise him.

Muyu was last, though a little sad but she didn't try to fight him for claiming Rin early. She decided to sell their home since they haven't really been living in and move home to the Murasame, which was the original plan when they moved back home to Japan. She bought the home to give Rin a normal lifestyle, just as she and Ramaru have done while living in London.

'It can't be help. Mr. Wang is digging his own grave for even involving Rin and me with his ridiculous plans. I'm happy that you both found love with each other.' Muyu sounded excited, 'I'm expecting a decision soon then?'

"I have to talk to her first." Sesshomaru said with a smile. "You will be the first to know, I promise."

'Please do.' Muyu said.

Sesshomaru exited the elevator and no sign of disturbance seem to be out of place in the hallway outside of his home. He insert the key and opened the door. A popping sounded off which caused him take a step back and eyes widen.

Rin giggled at the sight of him being surprise. "Surprise!"

Sesshomaru stared at her first and then the room. It was decorated with colorful streamers, few balloons, and a pile of presents are neatly stacked on the coffee table. Surprise, he look back at his girlfriend. "When did you?"

"It was last minute. Kikyo-nee, Aya-nee, and Paulo-ni helped me with the decorations but since you told me not to leave the house, they gathered all of the supplies for me." Rin explained, "Yasha-ni, Kagome-nee, Sango-nee, and Miroku-ni brought the presents."

"Yasha-ni took Marin and Baby, he said to pick them up whenever."

"I cooked dinner and made the cake."

True to her words, the dining table is set with a good looking cake in the middle.

"I made strawberry cake." Rin blushed, "Yasha-ni said that it's your favorite."

Being blown away was an understatement. There's no word to describe how happy he was so he acted on it. He closed the door, locking it behind him and gathered the girl he loves in his arms.

"I love you so much." He said before kissing her senseless.
