A/N: I'm hoping other students will understand why I didn't update last week; I had to give up my day off from studying (Saturday) because I was flooded by Christmas homework. It's always tough getting back to college after Christmas. Plus, it was my eighteenth birthday the week back too so I was distracted.
sabina21 & brankel1: Thanks.
hewhoreaps: Yeah, I can't remember how many times I've had evil rangers in this story.
Evangella Akriti: Sorry for the delay.
Apollo Holmes: Yeah, that's a cool idea. And I'm still grieving for Han Solo.
The teen rangers, minus Trent, sat at a table in Hayley's Cyberspace as the brainiest of the three did some research on their newest adversaries.
"It says here that the ninja rangers defeated like a hundred space mutants at one time," Ethan informed, pointedly looking at Kira in disbelief.
"After fighting them, I believe it," Kira commented, her eyes just as wide as his. Conner, on the other hand, thought they were overreacting.
"Come on, they weren't that tough," he argued. "I'd fight them right here, right now."
As if on cue, the doors blew open and in walked the ninja rangers. The dino trio exchanged surprised and horrified looks as others in the cybercafe instantly stood up, shocked by the outsiders' barely concealed hostility. The red ninja demonstrated his hatred by throwing out his hand and blasting air at the dino rangers along with some civilians. The dino rangers got out of the way in time while the other inhabitants fled the building in a panicked frenzy.
"Can I get you anything?" Conner asked sarcastically, stumbling around on his knees. "A doughnut maybe or a muffin?"
"I try to stay away from sugar," the red one answered in a gruff voice. "Makes me hyper."
"I'd hate to see him when he gets hyper," Ethan stated.
"Get up!" the blue ninja demanded haughtily. "We have some unfinished business to attended to."
The trio begrudgingly got to their feet, subconsciously standing in formation so that Conner was in the middle. The blue and yellow ninjas stepped forward to match their own leader.
"Dude, she's kinda cute, don't you think?" Conner asked Ethan as he eyed Tori, an unabashed smirk on his face.
"Yeah," Ethan agreed, smiling. "In a crazy ninja terminator sort of way."
Their female counterpart glared at them in disbelief, slapping Conner on the arm as she spoke, "Would you two focus over here?"
"Right," Conner agreed.
"Can we get on with this?" the ninja leader asked as he and his two friends menacingly walked towards the other rangers in unison.
"We're not going to fight you here," Conner answered as he, Kira, and Ethan also walked forward albeit not as in unison as the ninjas.
"Then we're just gonna have to destroy you," the red one threatened.
"We'll meet wherever you want," Conner growled at him. "But you come alone."
"We should we agree to that?"
"It's called honour," Kira answered this time, staring the yellow one down as Ethan did the same to the blue one. "I thought you ninjas knew all about that."
"Fine," the red one relented. "Under the harbour bridge, in one hour. The six of us; no one else."
"Fine. We'll be there."
With that, the three wind rangers ninja streaked out of the door.
"Ninja streak?" Ethan questioned excitedly with a grin. "Awe, how cool is that?"
His friends merely looked at him in disbelief.
"So if they use special powers, we use special powers," Conner told Kira and Ethan as they stopped at the bridge. "If they morph, we morph. Sound good?"
"It does to me," Kira answered.
They waited around for the three ninjas when all of a sudden they were floored by an onslaught of heavy wind. Sitting up, they saw the ninjas walking up to them with their hands held out.
"Man, do they have to keep doing that?" Kira complained as they stood while the ninja rangers came to a stop and lowered their hands.
"Fools," the leader sneered contemptuously. "You actually showed up."
Wordlessly, the six of them started to fight using their civilian powers. It was red on red, girl versus girl and Ethan against the yellow ninja. After a while, Conner fell off the edge of a bridge and the red ninja landed gracefully a few feet away from him. The others regrouped around their respective leaders.
"This is boring," Blue Ninja whined.
"Shall we?" Red Ninja asked.
"Oh, yeah," Yellow Ninja agreed. They were about to morph when they were stopped by a familiar voice.
"No wait!"
The dino rangers turned to see Blake Bradley and two other guys run over to stand in front of the other ninjas. Conner and Ethan recognised Blake's companions as the two former rangers they'd met at the ranger reunion: Cam Watanabe and Hunter Bradley. Kira, having never met the pair of headmasters before, focused solely on Blake and finally realised why he'd seemed so familiar to her.
"Wait a minute," she started, watching the three of them carefully as they continued to walk towards their comrades. "Blake? That's how I know you; you're a power ranger."
"Good, cause we can use all the help we can get," Ethan said.
"Yeah," Conner concurred.
"We're not here to help you guys out," Blake told them as they stopped to stand in front of the other ninjas. "We stick with our own kind."
"Lothor has shown us the error of our ways," Hunter added.
"Whoever doesn't follow us, we'll destroy," Cam declared, folded his arms as he stood in the middle, in front of the red ninja.
"This is going to be great," the yellow ninja commented, rubbed his hands together in anticipation.
"Wait," Cam interjected, holding up a hand and turning to the wind rangers. Blake and Hunter followed suit. "First, you have to take these." He held out three discs. "A little power boost, direct from the Abyss of Evil."
"But we already have our powers," the lone female ninja countered.
"Not these ones," Hunter shot back.
The red ninja regarded Cam with the utmost suspicion, weighing out the options in his head. Finally, he spoke, "You'd better be right about this."
"Believe me," Cam said as each of them took their discs. "You won't be sorry."
The three wind ninjas carelessly disposed of the old discs in their morphers and replace them with the new ones. After hitting a button to activate them, they were knocked to the ground. Hunter, Blake and Cam offered them their hands.
"Dude, what happened?" Dustin, the yellow ninja, asked as he took Hunter's hand and stood up. "My bell is seriously rung."
"How did we get here?" Tori, the female, questioned. "The last thing I remember..."
"Lothor," her boyfriend interrupted. "He's back."
"Yeah we know," Shane, the leader, responded. "Sensei told us."
"That wasn't Sensei," Hunter told them.
"No, dude, I know Sensei when I see him," Dustin argued, lightly hitting Hunter to get him to listen.
"No, it's Lothor," Blake corrected. Tori and Shane exchanged looks of confusion.
"Okay, unless it was Lothor dressed as Sensei," Dustin concluded, seemingly pleased with himself. "Huh?" The three dino rangers finally intervened, having had enough of the disconcerting debate between the six ninjas.
"Okay, this is all highly amusing," Conner cut in, joining the group along with Kira and Ethan. "But does someone wanna tell me what's going on?"
"Well, I was just minding my own business when my brother and his genius showed up, deciding to pull us into the Abyss of Evil with him to go and get out powers back," Blake explained disdainfully, scowling at Cam from across the dino lab.
"Hey, I thought it was a great idea once I got over how dangerous it was," Hunter protested, defending Cam who gave Blake a dirty look.
"You would," Blake muttered darkly, attempting to embarrass his brother.
"The same way you blindly follow Tori's crazy schemes?" Hunter fired back, plastering a smirk onto his face. Tori grinned, nudging her boyfriend who was sitting next to her.
Cam rolled his eyes and decided to speak, "And then good old Blake fell over the edge of a precipice, Hunter leapt off it to grab his hand as well as miraculously grabbing onto the edge as well, leaving me to hold the both of them up. We were just about to fall inside but Dad got to us just in time."
"So, we faked being on Lothor's side to get you to take the right ninja discs," Hunter finished.
"It's a good thing you guys showed up when you did," Conner told them.
"Good thing for you guys," Shane stated, smirking a little at Conner.
"Whatever, dude."
"Nah, I'm just playing, man; you guys fight like rock-stars."
"I, for one, will take that as a compliment," Kira said, sharing a smile with Trent who was sat next to her. Dustin and Ethan fist-bumped and Cam just smiled.
"We're glad you're here," Michael spoke up, coming to stand beside Sensei. "But now it's time to get serious."
"Michael is right," Sensei agreed as he stood up slowly. "We have a serious problem on our hands."
"And it's gonna take all of us to defeat him," Tommy finished. The computer started to beep and everyone in the room ran over to it.
"We've got company," Hayley announced.
"There's seven of us and six of you. We should be able to work together," Kim stated. "Let's show them what teamwork is really all about. You boys pair off and us girls will stick together."
All twelve rangers nodded.
The villains waited at the quarry for the rangers to show up. Soon enough, they bombarded by all sorts of colours. All thirteen rangers stood in front of the glorious villain army.
"Be careful but get it done," Michael ordered.
"Are you guys ready?" Conner shouted.
"Ready," they all answered, morphers raised.
"Dino Thunder! Power up!"
"White Ranger! Dino power!"
"Ninja Storm! Ranger form!"
"Thunder Storm! Ranger form!"
"Samurai Storm! Ranger form!"
"HA!"
"Tyranno!"
"Tricera!"
"Brachio!"
"Pterano!"
"Drago!"
"Quetzal!"
"Aardon!"
"Dino Thunder!"
"Power of Air!"
"Power of Water!"
"Power of Earth!"
"Crimson Thunder!"
"Navy Thunder!"
"Samurai Power!"
"Ninja Storm!"
All thirteen morphed rangers jumped down from the cliff to stand in a line.
"Ranger power!" they all shouted.
"Attack!" Elsa roared, pulling her weapon out as the enemy army obeyed.
"Kick it," Conner instructed.
With that, all thirteen rangers charged forward as well. Kira, Conner, Ethan and Kim got onto their raptor cycles while Shane, Tori, and Dustin got onto their tsunami cycles, before taking off. Shane and Conner teamed up to take on a nameless monster as did Dustin and Ethan while Kira, Tori and Kim teamed up to take on Elsa. Off on the other side of the quarry, Tommy and Cam paired up while Blake and Trent teamed up, leaving Michael and Hunter to fight with Zurgane.
Trent and Blake joined the fight against Zurgane but all four of them were floored by him. He fired at Michael only for Blake to jump in the way with his shield.
"Thunder Shield!"
"Got it!" Hunter grunted as he used his crimson blaster to knock Zurgane back a bit.
"I'll take it from here!" Michael announced, stepping forward.
"We got your back," Blake answered.
"Brachio Stuff! Energy Orb!"
Zurgane was destroyed. Trent joined Tommy and Cam's battle while the other three stood by until they were needed. Throughout the entire battle, a wide range of special powers and vehicles were used to make quick work of the monsters: super dino mode, triassic mode, both battilizers, super samurai mode, Ethan's hovercraft cycle e.t.c
After the battle, all rangers regrouped.
"Nice moves, you guys," Conner praised.
"Back at you, bro," Shane replied.
The two red rangers clasped hands when two girls literally fell from the sky, landing in a heap before quickly running over to the rangers.
"Oh guys!" they called.
"Hey Cam," the blonde one spoke as the samurai ranger stepped forward.
"What are you doing here?" Cam demanded.
"Is that any way to greet family?" the blonde asked while frowning.
The dino rangers looked to Cam for an explanation. He sighed before turning to them, "These are my cousins, Marah and Kapri. Lothor's nieces by marriage. And Lothor's my dad's twin brother... We're not related by blood but... you know what, forget it."
"Hey, we even brought you a present," the brunette, Marah, exclaimed before she opened a jar.
"It's our students," Shane said as the wind ninjas appeared. Cam's cousins threw their ridiculous costumes off to reveal student outfits.
"Hey, my twin brother was one of those," Conner pointed out.
"Hey, everybody okay?" Shane asked as he and the other rangers, minus Cam, ran over to the students to check them over. Cam went to stand in between his cousins both of whom affectionately sidled up to him.
"You didn't think we really went bad, did you?" Marah asked with a grin. "We were just pretending."
"Again?" Cam asked in an amused tone.
"Yeah, well we're slow learners," the blonde, Kapri, answered. The three of them laughed together.
"I'm afraid it's dead," Hayley explained as she held Cam's samurai amulet in her hands. "Lothor's extraction of the powers left just enough energy for one last battle."
Shane nodded, slightly upset before looking at Conner. "Yeah, well I guess it's a good thing we got you guys."
"You've done your part," Conner told him while patting his arm. "It's our turn to take over where you left off."
"There's just one thing I still don't understand," Dustin told Michael as they walked away from the group.
"What's that, Dustin?" Michael asked.
"Who rescued Sensei?"
Marah and Kapri laughed as they ran over to the pair of them.
"I think we can answer that for you," Kapri began.
"Yeah," Marah agreed, smiling at her boyfriend. "We dragged Sensei away after Lothor fell asleep."
All of a sudden, all the rangers stood around them and burst out laughing along with Hayley and Sensei.
"Dude, you should've figured out that only your own girlfriend and her sister would pull something like this," Shane teased his best friend who glared at him.
"What?" Marah asked indignantly, annoyed by the laughter. "Do you guys have any idea how heavy he is?"
"Yeah," Kapri agreed. "Hey Sensei, you should cut down on the cookies with your afternoon tea."
"I will keep that in mind," Sensei told her while smiling. "Now that I am returning to my normal life."
"I'm all about getting back to normal," Ethan backed him up.
"Yeah but not until we get down and dirty," Blake told them as he clapped Ethan's hand, referring to his race.
They all cheered.
