In the Vegas lights

Where villains spend the weekend

The deep end

We're swimming with the sharks until we drown

.oOo.

"Hello everyone," I chime cheerfully landing on the railing of the Jolly Roger causing a few pirates to jump before drawing various blades. "Now, now, boys, is that anyway to treat a lady?" I tut.

"What do you want girl?" One snarls and I scoff.

"From you? Nothing. But I would like a word with your captain."

"Aye?" Says a man stepping forward a hand resting leisurely on his sheathed sword. He's handsome, with blue eyes and a shadow of a beard. Reminds me of Al a bit only different hair. How I pictured Al when I imagined us as adults.

"If it isn't the infamous Killian Jones," I mock with a smirk after spotting the silver hook adorning what used to be his hand.

"I believe I'm at the disadvantage of knowing not who you are," he states raising an eyebrow.

"The name's Kali and the rest you need to know is I can kill you with a snap of my fingers so don't get on my bad side," I say nonchalantly. I snap my fingers and the three other pirates who jumped earlier became frozen chunks of people.

"Ah, Kali. I have heard tales about you. Now what are you doing in this bloody realm? Can't be for the immortality," he says nonchalantly. I can tell by the hand resting on his sword he's a touch afraid though and that's good. I like when people are afraid of me.

"I needed something and I got it. Now I need to get off the island. I'm bored."

"So you come to me the devilishly handsome pirate, hoping he could sail you to another realm," Hook finishes for me and I smirk.

"And they said pirates weren't all that smart," I say sarcastically.

"Well sorry love but I can't get off this damned island. I've been trying and the only way to get off is with Pan's permission," Hook says and I roll my eyes. "Now. If you'd be so kind as to unfreeze my men I'd be very grateful."

I sigh and wave a hand thawing out the pirates and a few drop their weapons and look around in confusion before picking them up and pointing them at me once more. "Well there's got to be another way at least for me. He doesn't even know I'm here," I muse.

"I doubt that love," Hook cuts in after nodding for his men to continue working.

"What do you mean?"

"He knows everything that happens on his island. His lost boys are everywhere," Hook states.

"They are more afraid of me than of him. Works out quite nicely actually."

"Sorry love but Pan scares me more," he mutters and I scoff.

"I could've killed your whole crew and yourself before you even knew I was on board. I didn't because I'd like your help. Fear is a weapon, my dear captain, it must be wielded wisely and only when necessary. I also figured you'd have a hard time answering me without the function of your lungs," I antagonize him lazily because I'm that kind of person.

"How considerate of you," he says sarcastically and I flash a smile.

"So captain, fancy helping a girl out?"

When I get up in the morning it's quiet. Usually I hear the soft sound of the shower running or Henry messing around in his room. I know why I don't hear the second one, but the first? Regina's not the most likable person in town so I seriously doubt she was doing that all night, or she's sleeping in, which is about as likely as me confessing my undying love for some stupid pop star, aka, not going to happen. Nonetheless I open her door a crack and peer in searching for her. My conclusion is simple, she didn't return last night. Now what is she up to, I muse walking back to my room and getting dressed quickly, leaving my hair down.

"That's impossible!" One of Hook's men brays. I jump down from my perch on one of the smaller sails and land lightly next to the group of pirates.

"What's impossible?" I ask curiously. I like proving people wrong and I am quite bored. Hook's ship is much more interesting than the island though the island holds the answers to getting off it.

"Stealing from Pan," another, Smee I think his name is answers. They're all a little tipsy but what pirates aren't?

I laugh. I thought they'd give me a challenge. "And why is stealing from Peter Pan so impossible?" I ask a bit bored now.

"Because he's a bloody demon," Hook answers making me turn and raise my eyebrows.

"And therefore unassailable?" I don't think my voice could harbor anymore boredom.

"Oh you can attack him all right," Hook says. "You just won't live through the fight."

"Wanna bet?" I ask suddenly full of energy and cheer. Ugh, cheer is such a weird word. I mean, seriously. Come on let's do a cheer! 'Cheer up Charlie- don't be sad.' The teacher may have been high but she was full of cheer! It's weird. Oh god I'm ranting in the middle of a memory. Someone shoot me.

"You know what. If you can steal back the treasure he stole from me the other day...I will..." Hook says and I smile darkly.

"Go for a swim with the mermaids," I insert with a devious smile.

"All right, and if you don't...I think the consequences of failing are enough," Hook says and I smirk.

"See you soon," I say walking off the boat and landing on ice. I walk leisurely back to the island and begin the search for Felix.

I walk into the office building hearing doors crash open upstairs. I run up with my weapons drawn and a flurry behind me looking for a threat. I roll my eyes when I see Emma and Charming with guns.

"What are you doing here?!" I ask quite annoyed at the intrusion I do sheath my katana though.

"I could ask you the same thing," Emma says both calm and suspiciously. "It's okay, she's not here!" Emma yells back before turning back to me.

"Well I'm here looking for Regina, same as you however I don't greet people with guns," I say not amused.

"Scarlet!" I turn and see Henry walk in with Snow and I hug him back when he collides with me.

"Now what's going on?" I ask.

"Regina stole magic beans," Emma states.

"If this town was normal, you'd have been committed so fast..." I mutter. "Regina didn't come home last night," I mumble moving to her desk and looking for signs that she was recently here. I see none.

"I don't get it, why would Regina leave her office unlocked?" Snow asks and I stand up.

"It was unlocked?" I ask and she nods. I bite my lip and continue my search.

"Especially when she's keeping the beans here," David says admiring a plant. I've seen them before. The clan has to get the beans from somewhere. I narrow my eyes and then I see it. A smudge here, trace of spilled rum there.

"Was keeping them here," Snow says tiredly. I roll my eyes. Not our biggest problem but they don't need to know that. Charming will want to go all police on Hook and Hook doesn't take well to authority. I better handle this myself.

"They're gone?" Emma asks. "Something's not right. Regina would never leave evidence like this behind."

"Maybe she already used them to portal out of Storybrooke," David offers and I sigh.

"And she'd most definitely leave Henry behind correct? That might have been her plan, to use them to leave but not without Henry. I'm going to go ask Gold something. Don't wait for me," I mutter making an exit before anyone can stop me or question my next move which isn't in the direction of Gold's shop.

"BOO!" I shout swinging down from the tree branch and scaring Felix. He sighs and takes a step back smiling a bit. "Hello Felix," I say with a smirk.

"Kali, what can I do for you today?" He asks raising his eyebrows.

"I, am bored," I say. "So I've decided I'm going to mess with your leader. I'd like your help although I do not need it."

"What's the plan?" He asks before turning down the offer or accepting it.

"I just need the location of Pan's hideout. Leave the rest to me," I say with a wink.

"Promise not to take any pixie dust? It will make my life so much harder if you do," he asks with a sigh.

"Cross my heart."

"Then come on," he says taking off in another direction.

"Hook!" I yell when I reach the ship. I get no reply. I sigh and search the ship quickly coming up with nothing. I look around and watch for places to hide out. The canaries could work but they aren't Hook's style. But then he walks out of one. I shake my head and walk down the dock. When I get close enough to him I jump on his back because I'm awesome.

"Hello captain. Fancy seeing you here!" I exclaim and he stops struggling knowing I'd beat him in a second of actual effort.

"Kali," he states and I jump off allowing him to turn and face me.

"Regina where is she?" I ask getting to the point.

"Who?" He asks feigning innocence.

"You left rum in her office, so let's skip the whole I don't know anything and you tell me what the fuck is going on," I say sweetly with a smile and he sighs. He catches sight of Emma and Neal walking toward the docks and pulls me out of sight before beginning the tale of how he was dragged back here in a van before being offered a chance of revenge against Rumpelstiltskin.

"Okay, so I have to go and save Regina from a pair of idiots, one of which is Bae's fiance. Yay," I say sarcastically. "They don't know about the trigger correct?"

"No, I didn't tell them," he says and I nod.

"Good. I have actually met a few anti-magic people before and they were all idiots. They will try to use it but it will backfire and everyone will die, so let's keep that bit of info away from them."

"This is it?" I ask looking at the tree. I take a step closer and observe it before realizing that the tree is hollowed out. I glance back at Felix who's watching me carefully before my hands touch the tree finding the crack of the door.

"Why exactly do you need the location of Pan's hideout?" Felix asks.

"I am bored and if I steal whatever you took from Hook back then he has to go for a swim with the mermaids," I say happily.

"Sounds fun. It's in there, I think it's just a bunch of gold and a few gems," he says. "Have fun and don't expect me to help you if you get caught."

"Felix honey, I won't be caught," I say before disappearing down a small spiral staircase and into Pan's personal hideout.

The place reeks of loneliness. There's a table stuck on the wall to my left cluttered with items, mostly papers and lumps of coal and a few...pencils? I've run across them in a few other lands but those are few and far between. Stationed at the table is a chair. Just one. Shoved in the corner is a little rise with two steps leading up to a hammock. Below the rise is two bookshelves cluttered with several different stories. I'm tempted to pick a few up but I don't. Instead I move to the other door across the room. I walk past the bathroom and into a separate room cluttered with books and other miscellaneous objects. It reminds me of Rumple's dining room with all the magical devices strewn about.

I ignore all of them though and walk over to glass shelves lining one wall. On it is a box embellished with gems and painted silver the dark wood reminds me of another box and instantly I know this is it. I pick it up looking through it's contents before closing it and heading out the way I came leaving no trace of me behind. I'm about to open the door leading out of the hideout when a pair of voices stop me. I don't know who it is but I'm not supposed to be caught and if one of them is Pan then...

I could just wipe their memories. But that'd be cheating and I'm not a cheater. I look around and finally glance up. It'd work. I jump up with the help of my ice which melts away as soon as I've hidden myself above the doorway. A boy wearing a hood walks in and down the stairs without sparing a glance in my direction. I decide that was Pan and then jump down making an exit and running into a lost boy. I freeze him before he sees me and then take off unfreezing him when I'm out of the clearing. I run away laughing jumping on sheets of ice from time to time. I don't slow down when I reach the beach instead I keep running ice serving as the ground as I speed toward the ship my hood and hair flying back in the wind.

"Oh they're idiots," I mutter seeing Emma and Neal disappear into the canary. "Oh and there they are," I add nodding to Mr and Mrs perfect as Charming and Snow enter through the other doors. "Well, allons-y," I mutter.

"You have fun lass, but I'm afraid this is as far as I go," Hook says and I give him a look. "Back room. Kali, I'm sorry for my involvement." I give him the finger and then walk into the canary heading straight for the back room. When I get there Regina is being helped out by Charming's one and two. I sigh and quickly take Regina from Snow and we walk to their apartment.

I head to Granny's when Mother Superior shows up because the fairy makes me want to rip my hair out every time she opens up her mouth. When I get back Emma and Charming are sitting on the stairs. I have no idea what they're saying but its probably sappy bull I don't want to hear so I walk over to Mary Margaret.

"What happened?" I ask and she bites her lip looking slightly more put together than Emma but still in pieces.

"It's Neal, he's dead," she says and I blink unsure if I heard her correctly.

"What happened?"

She shakes her head and opens her mouth but a sob comes out instead. Not in the mood to comfort people I look at my mother, see she's getting better and then retreat out f the apartment. Snow didn't know Bae. I'm walking out of the building when this thought sparks a hidden fury in me. I turn and storm back up stairs not particularly in the mood to care whether or not the building is turning to ice.

"You have no right! You didn't know him so suck it up and get over yourself! Don't cry." I command and Snow looks like she'd been slapped. Charming looks at me and I match his fury and double it. He turns away first. "Now, what's the plan? We know Greg and Tamara have the beans what's the plan to get them back?"

"I don't know," Charming says and I sigh running a hand through my hair.

"Scarlet, calm down," I turn and see a weak looking Regina watching me carefully.

"I'll be pissed off if I want," I shoot back and she smiles.

"You saved me," Regina says turning to Snow.

"Yes," Snow admits.

"You really thought we'd let you die?" Charming asks unsure of the question himself. "Despite our differences we're family."

"Where are they?" Regina asks feebly

"What?" I ask.

"Where are Gregg and Tamara?" She asks again.

"Waiting for their one way trip to hell. I just haven't been able to help them with their journey quite yet," I say flatly.

"They got away," Charming says.

"So they still have it," Regina says worriedly.

"Still have what?" Snow asks and my eyes widen in understanding.

"The trigger, please tell me you didn't tell them what it was," I beg.

"I didn't, but they have it," she says and I shake my head.

"I'm going for a walk," I mutter actually leaving this time.

I stand on the railing just observing for the longest time. Smee sees me first and blinks a few times unable to believe I'm there in front of him.

"Hey Smee," I say with a smirk.

"M-Miss Kali! You're back," he says with a stutter.

"Miss me?" I ask and he nods frantically. I'm a scary person. "Where's Hook?"

"Right here, I see you're alive," he says with a nod. I smirk and toss him the box.

"And bearing gifts."

"Ah, you shouldn't have," he says.

"Couldn't resist," I say. "I hear the water's pretty cold."

"Ah, yes. I guess you did win."

"Time for a swim," I say with a smirk. "But to make things more interesting, and to prove you did it of course, I'll need a pearl."

"At least offer me a challenge," he mimics and I roll my eyes.

"Have fun, and I'll be back tomorrow. No cheating!" I say running off.

"Are you actually going to do it?" I hear Smee ask as I jump overboard.

"Of course. I made a deal," Hook answers his voice fading as I reach the island.
