Hey guys, sorry I haven't been around in a while but...I'm here now. And I don't NOT at all regret my beautifully phrased "Rick-hanger" hahahahahHA!

And for those who guessed the symbolism were Jack — who just got his powers/his staff back — quickly dropped his staff and helped Jamie. I wanted to show you guys he is willing to do anything for Jamie. And also, Jack is willing to pick up his staff and fight for Jamie.

the song is "Just Like You" by Three Days Grace.

Disclaimer: I keep forgetting to put this in. Oops. Well, it's not mine.

Jack blinked the blackness put of his eyes and sat up with a groan. He cringed as he felt something hard rub against his wrists. Glancing down with a growing sense of dread, Jack's blue eyes landed on the cuffs that encircled his arms. They didn't look normal though, they had large metal bands around his wrists that we so close to his skin that they were already being rubbed raw with the little movement he had made. But that honestly didn't bother him as much as the light grey cords that winded their way up his fore arm until it ended just below his elbow. They were covered in strange little ruins that seemed to shimmer in the light. They didn't even feel like metal, more like...skin.

Jack lifted one of his hands and gently probed the coils. The grey cords seemed to recoil from his touch, tightening it's grip on his arms.

"Ah!" Jack cried, trying to work his fingers under the constricting bonds but hey only tightened more. Jack wasn't sure what to do, what was going on?!

He jumped up and tried to move away and he sort of did — he was chained to the wall but the chains were pretty long. Jack felt tears prick at the corners of his eyes and tried to get off the horrible cuffs that were cutting off blood flow to his arms.

"Diggen ah 'em will only make et worse, Frostbite."

Jack stopped his little freak out immediately. Not him, anyone but him, Jack couldn't deal with this at the moment. As he stopped moving, the cords around him loosed considerably and Jack gave a silent sigh of release.

Finally not panicking anymore, Jack took in his surroundings. A empty room. That was it. Red walls and a wooden floor with a white door in the far corner right next to...him. Jack then understood, he got what was going on and he didn't like it.

"What happened?" Jack asked through gritted teeth, but he let his voice remain neutral.

Bunnymund shrugged his shoulders and continued to inspect his boomerang. "Wal'ed in Jamie's room and the entire place was frosted, ya were knocked out under a huge dent in the wall." Bunny raised his green eyes to Jack and said. "We brough' ya in 'ere afterwards. Ya want ta tell me what happened?"

Jack digested that information. That explained the headache he just realized he had. Instead of answering Jack held up his arms and looked at them. "What are these?"

Bunny glowered at the dodged question but answered anyway. "Magicked cuffs tha' cut off ah spirit's powers. Precautionary, of course."

Of course, Jack glared at his bond hands, feeling the a sense of his magic. Again. "I didn't even know the guardians had something like this."

Jack raised his eyes and looked into Bunny's green ones — the blue irises flashing. "A lot you didn't tell me in the 10 years I work with you."

The Easter Bunny gave the winter spirit a look of disdain. "No one finds out tha' fast. Don' think ya'r special."

"Naturally." Jack replied shortly, going back to examining his cuffs.

Bunny stopped leaning against the wall and walked over and hovered of Jack. "Whaa' were ya tryin' ta do in Jamie's room?"

Jack walked out from under Bunny's gaze. "None of your business, Kangaroo."

Bunny gave a disbelieving laugh. "Oh —oh, now were startin' that up again, are we? Hah! Thought ya grew outta it."

Jack glared at the Guardian of Hope. "I never stopped — just started saying it in my head."

Bunny' slips pulled back in a snarl, barring his rabbit teeth. "Then ya learned nothin."

Jack snapped his head up at the guardian and said "I've learned plenty!" And then he stuck his arms, trying to force some magic out of him. The cords tightened hard and Jack collapsed to the floor with a cry.

Through the haze of pain Jack heard Bunny crouch down and whisper. "Ya've learned nothing, like Ah said. Ya diden learn ta be like us."

And that was all.

Elsa marched back and forth in the hallway, extremely worried.

she heard the blast, he felt Jack's body hit the wall.

but she did nothing.

Elsa didn't know why, didn't understand why she froze like that.

Why she let the guardians bust into the room sigh weapons ablaze.

The snow queen sighed and looked out the window to the crescent moon outside.

why wasn't he doing anything?

why was he just sitting — floating? Flying? — there while all this was going on below him?

Elsa sighed again and ran a hand over he face and through he hair.

She heard the cracklings noise and looked down to see frost blooming under her feet.

She also didn't understand why Jack and her had the same powers and he was the one locked up when this was all her fault.

When Jack woke up he was still in a jumbled heap on the floor, Bunny's words echoing in his head. Jack groaned and sat up slowly, he had to have been lying there a while for his joints were sore and his muscles ached.

But he was alone, no guardian in sight. Jack wouldn't have had it any other way.

you didn't learn how to be one of us.

Why the hell would Jack want to be one of them? Jack laughed bitterly at the thought.

"I could be mean, I could be angry." Jack sang, folding his legs underneath him. He didn't want to move that much for fear that it would upset his cords. "You know I could be just like you."

Jack chuckled a little insanely, but he didn't care. He wanted Jamie to be safe — he tried to use his powers! But it didn't work, he just ended up knocking himself out. And now they chained him up in some sort of isolation chamber. Just freakin great. And they were the ones who were supposed to protect children?!

"I could be fake, I could be stupid. You know I can be just like you." Jack watched the ground in front of him, just starring at the same spot on the floor. There wasn't really anything else he could do. "I thought you were standing beside me but I was only in your way. You're wrong if you'll think that I'll be just like you."

Jack laughed again and thought how the guardians felt now that he wasn't hiding his pain anymore, how he just didn't care about anything but Jamie. "I thought you were there to guide me, I was only in your way. You're wrong if you think that I'll be just like you. I thought you were there to guide me, I was only in your way. You're wrong if you think that I'll be just like you!"

Jack raised a finger and was about to drag it across the floor to create a line of frost but drew back when he remembered. Just tied up again, like usually.

"I could be cold." Colder, he guessed. "I could be ruthless, you know that I could be just like you."

Jack sighed as the headache pounded behind his eyes, like some massive heart beat or whatever. "I could be weak, I could be senseless, you know that I can be just like you." All those years they lived sigh Jack they didn't even notice he was going crazy by their hand. And they are still so dense and such cowards that they won't even own up to their mistakes! Ugh, it wasn't fair!

"I thought you were standing beside me but I was only in your way. You're wrong if you'll think that I'll be just like you." Jack closed his eyes and held his head, the coils around his arms moving like a second layer of skin, moving together with his muscles. "I thought you were there to guide me, I was only in your way. You're wrong if you think that I'll be just like you. I thought you were there to guide me, I was only in your way. You're wrong if you think that I'll be just like you!"

Jack laughed humorlessly again, he could see the irony in this, he saw the cruel joke. But there wasn't anything he could really do about it was there? "On my own, cause I can't take living with you. " Jack opened his eyes a crack, his voice dropping to a whisper, he wished the guardians had turned out to be what he hoped they were: good. He wished he wasn't stuck in this hell. "all alone, so I won't turn out like you want me to..."

"I thought you were standing beside me but I was only in your way. You're wrong if you'll think that I'll be just like you." Jack sighed, defeated. he was just so tired. "I thought you were there to guide me, I was only in your way. You're wrong if you think that I'll be just like you. I thought you were there to guide me, I was only in your way. You're wrong if you think that I'll be just like you!"

Jack heard a cracking noise and looked down to see frost traveling through the cuffs like white veins. He couldn't help but smile a little, but it died as quickly as it formed. Maybe he wasn't as trapped as he thought.

"I could be mean." Jack whispered. "I could be angry." He closed his eyes and thought about all the deaths he caused. There were so many and he sure as heck didn't protect them. He may have learned something after all. "you know I could be just like you..."

Hearing a loud snap, Jack didn't even bother to look down as he pushed the skin like coils off. Though he didn't see them Jack could still feel the smaller normal cuffs on his wrists. Using his powers once more, Jack forced the ice to flow through the metal, snapping them apart easily as well.

Jack stood up and made his way to the door. As he placed his hand on it, Jack looked around the room that was already freezing over in his presence.

Maybe he was more like the guardians than he thought.
