Chi-Chi woke up feeling more then ready for her second day of school since summer had ended. How could she not be? Goku was back, her friends were back, her stomach was feeling much better, and Goku was back.
The best part about it though was that she had managed to get a date with Goku. Although they were asleep through most of it, and they were interrupted by unwanted guest, it was still a date.
A date which Goku had no problem accepting. He hadn't even hesitated when she had asked him out. She had thought because they had been apart for so long, that maybe their relationship would have changed. She had assumed Goku would have come back as a totally different person, that she would no longer connect with.
Or at the very least she had expected him to run off, too busy with his revenge against Frieza to even pay attention to her. Instead though he came back as the same Goku she knew and loved. If anything, their relationship had grown stronger while they were apart from each other.
Which is why she was very excited to go to school and see him. Finishing her share of breakfast she had made, she collected her things so that she could start heading to school. She wanted to be there more earlier than usual just in case Goku managed to get to school early for once.
Even though there was the whole situation of Frieza to deal with, Chi-Chi couldn't help thinking everything else in her life was going perfect for her. She was almost afraid everything was going too perfect. Like something bad was going to happen to her soon, just so that everything evened out.
There was no point in worrying about that though. She would just enjoy the perfectness in her life while it was still there. She was confident nothing could ruin this day. Nothing.
"...What do you mean he isn't coming to school today?" Chi-Chi asked, sounding a lot like a lost puppy.
Bulma gave her a sympathetic look. "Raditz and Maron apparently figured out where a powerful ally of Frieza's hangs out, so they went to go deal with him." She explained low enough, so that the enemies from across the classroom wouldn't hear her.
Chi-Chi rested her head on her desk in defeat. Bulma and her were currently the on ones from their group of friends, inside the classroom. Besides them, only a few other classmates were present. Unfortunately, that few included Hasky and her body guards. "Who else went with him?"
Bulma's eyes flickered upwards as she tried to remember what Vegeta told her. "Vegeta, Raditz, and Piccolo definitely went with him." She answered. "I think Tien and Maron also went with them."
Chi-Chi heard the warning bell ring, as students began to pour into the classroom. This completely sucked. Without Goku being in the classroom, everything was way more boring. This was all his fault! How come he didn't tell her about this new development?
He had been treating her a little differently lately, but she didn't think he would just leave her in the dark like this. What if she wanted to go too? After all, Frieza was the one who planned out her father's kidnapping.
She could have helped! She proved herself capable more than once in the past before, so why was he doubting her now? Sure she had slacked off with her training, but its not like someone just loses all their skills in fighting after not practicing for awhile, right? The only reason she had been useless in yesterdays fight was because she was having stomach problems.
Yet she lost all her credibility over that one incident. It wasn't like she was going to go anyways. She knew there was a big chance she would have gotten in the way. Not because she had lost her fighting skills, but because she was a little rusty, and even though she wasn't going to risk it by going, it would have been nice to have been invited.
"Hey girls." Yamcha greeted with Krillin and 18 behind him.
"Hey there Yamcha." Bulma greeted back. "I was sure you and Krillin were going to go with the rest of the guys, what happened?"
"We were going to join them, but Yamcha and I still haven't gotten strong enough to go against the big fish just yet." Krillin answered.
Yamcha nodded his head in agreement. "We locked down flying, and some basic ki blasts, but nothing strong enough to be of any use yet."
"What about you 18? Weren't you on the same level as Tien? How come you didn't go?" Bulma asked.
"Didn't really feel like it I guess." She stated. "Plus, they don't really need my help anyways. I'm sure they already have more than enough power to take care of everything without me tagging along."
Chi-Chi momentarily wondered if 18 had left her far behind in terms of strength. At one point of time, they had been equals, but 18 had continued with her training while Chi-Chi had quit. She was almost positive 18 had already mastered how to manipulate ki.
Seconds before the final bell rang, Chi-Chi watched as Maron burst through the doors. She had looked out of breath, and Chi-Chi automatically stood up, worried that something had happened. Maron was suppose to be with the guys, so if she was here, that couldn't be good.
Maron made her way up the stairs, and stopped when she seen Chi-Chi. "What's wrong? You look worried." She pointed out.
"I thought you were supposed to be with the guys?" Chi-Chi said instead of answering Maron's question.
Maron made her way through the row until she reached her seat. "Oh that. I was only with them in the morning, so that I could explain the plan to all of them, I wasn't joining them for the actual thing though." She explained.
"How far away is the place there going to anyways?" Bulma asked her.
"Far." Maron answered. "Luckily, flying there is only a short journey away."
Before anyone could question Maron about it anymore though the teacher walked in. Chi-Chi inwardly sighed. Without Goku around, it was most likely going to be a boring day for her…
Goku could no longer feel the feeling of disgust as the second fly of the day hit him in the face. He simply just wiped it off.
He was currently flying in the sky, with Raditz, Vegeta, Piccolo, and Tien behind him. Raditz was the closest one to him, with Vegeta being not far behind him. Piccolo and Tien were the last ones, flying in a comfortable pace.
"Why don't you fly with us you jackass." Raditz complained.
Goku turned to him in surprise. "I am flying with you guys."
"He means without the help of that silly little cloud your on Kakarot." Vegeta added
"Can't." Goku stated. "I'm saving as much energy as I can."
"Isn't that going a little overboard?" Piccolo questioned him. "After all, we're just dealing with one opponent here, I doubt we even need everybody's strength to deal with them."
Goku stared ahead. "I wonder if that will really be the case when we get there though."
"What do you mean by that Kakarot?" Vegeta asked.
"Do you think we'll meet more than one person there?" Tien shouted from behind.
Goku turned around so that he was facing everyone. "Well, if he's as important as you guys say, I'm sure Frieza would have supplied him with some subordinates. Besides that, I can feel a pretty strong amount of ki. We're either dealing with an extremely powerful opponent, or with a couple of powerful opponents. Either way, I'm sure we'll all get a chance to fight."
Piccolo and Raditz both closed their eyes to try and sense for themselves. Piccolo's eyes snapped open in shock. "Yes! I feel it now! From what I sense, they're still not strong enough to really worry about, but there is the chance that they could be concealing the full extent of their strength."
"Right, which reminds me, I don't want anyone getting too cocky in this fight." Raditz warned them. "We've all gained more strength since the last time we fought one of Frieza's top men, but that doesn't mean they've just been lazing around and staying at the same strength. Treating even a weak opponent to carelessly could prove to be a deadly mistake for you."
The rest of them nodded. Goku was the first one to jump off his cloud, when they finally arrived, and the rest let themselves drop to the ground after him. They were still a good distance away from their exact destination, but they still needed to figure out some kind of strategy. "So what's the plan?" Goku asked.
They had landed in what basically looked like the middle of nowhere. All around was only rocks and dirt. They were currently hidden behind a huge boulder, that was only a few spaces away from the lonely building in front of them.
From what Maron and Raditz had dug up, it was a building where some known instructor stayed at. He was the one who trained most of Frieza's men all summer. For whatever reason, Frieza had decided to teach a small group of people, ki manipulation. He had left the training to some main guy who lived here.
That was the target they were after. If they took down the instructor, it would interfere with the amount of enemies learning about ki manipulation. The less enemies that knew about it, the less they had to worry about it.
"Two of us well go check it out, while the rest of us stay here and wait. Its better if we start off with a small number, so we catch them in surprise when the rest of us show up." Raditz explained.
"I'll go." Vegeta immediately volunteered himself. "Anything is better then to just wait around doing nothing."
"Me too." Goku said.
Raditz nodded. "We'll join you guys as soon as the fighting starts. Try to stay hidden, and take the chance to study your opponent before you barge in there."
Vegeta smirked as he stood up. "No promises." He replied before he walked off.
Goku stood up to follow him. "Don't worry so much Raditz, we got this!"
"What did I say about being overconfident?" Raditz angrily muttered to himself.
Vegeta and Goku both made it till they were at the side of the building. It looked similar to a warehouse, so there was only one huge entrance in the front. Strangely, they had not heard any sign of someone being inside yet.
Vegeta silently nodded towards a lone window on the side, that they had been avoiding to keep from being seen. Goku took one side, while Vegeta went to the other, making sure they were still hidden. Slowly peaking into the window, they looked for any sign of someone being in there.
Goku was sure he could still feel someone's energy inside, but he was starting to doubt the reliability in his ki readings. The building looked like it was empty from the inside. Had they sensed them? Goku was sure they had all masked their ki enough to not cause suspicion.
"Well look what we have here." Goku and Vegeta both heard from behind. Completely shocked, they both quickly turned around, and positioned themselves in a fighting stance.
Now standing in front of them, was a fairly tall, and wide guy with a thick muscular built. He had a rectangular shaped head with a mop of orange hair that settled awkwardly on him. He was currently grinning at them similar to how a cat would just as it finally trapped a pesky mouse.
"Maybe they're lost?" Another voice to the left of them sarcastically said. Turning to the source of the voice, they saw another guy just as tall as the first one they seen, if not taller. He had bluish skin and looked like a reptile type of alien.
"Perhaps they need some kind of directions to get the hell out of here." Someone sneered from the opposite side.
This time it was a guy with white hair that went down to the middle of his back. He had fiery red skin, and was starring both of them down. So far he was the only one in normal height.
"I think they were trying to spy on us." One of them said with a mocking giggle. Goku had thought it was the tall guy with the orange hair in the beginning, but as he looked down, he seen a small green guy with four eyes standing next to him. Had he always been there?
Nervously sweating, Goku realized they were completely surrounded. Vegeta and him automatically arranged themselves so that they were back to back. Something which had become instinct to them after getting in so much fights together.
"Who are you fools?" Vegeta questioned in irritation. He didn't appreciate the tables suddenly turning on them.
"Who are we?" A new voice said from behind the group of men. Goku's eyes widen. He was almost positive this new guy that entered the scene was the leader of the group. He was the one whose ki they all sensed from miles away.
He was the closest to Goku's height, only being a couple of inches taller. He had two horns sticking out from the side of his head. "I'll tell you who we are." The purple alien continued. "We are now known as Frieza's new and powerful group called the Ginyu Force."
"Ginyu Force?" Goku repeated.
Goku question seem to spark something across the group of guys that called themselves the Ginyu Force. The orange haired guy was the first one to step up. "I am Recoome!" He yelled out while moving his hands to the side in some kind of pose.
"I am-" The tall blue one extended out. He made some kind of stance that looked similar to a bird with its wings out. "Burter!"
The one with the long white hair put one hand in the air like a cheerleader. "I'm Jeice!"
The little green one bent one knee down while he positioned his arms weirdly in front of him. "Guldo!" He screamed out.
Finally, the leader of the group, propped down on one knee while his hands pointed to the ground. "Captain Ginyu!"
"We are the Ginyu Force!" They all shouted in unison.
Goku looked at Vegeta to make sure what he saw really happened. Vegeta's reaction to it was priceless, and Goku probably would have laughed at it if he wasn't wearing a similar expression himself.
Vegeta quickly replaced his with a more a pissed off look. "Enough of this! Which one of you is in charge of training Frieza's men?"
Captain Ginyu chuckled. "Well that is a little complicated to explain. See, I was originally the instructor for all of the pathetic fools Frieza sent my way, but he said I needed another person to help me out, which is where Jeice came in. Starting tomorrow though we now have the complete group to train more soldiers."
"Hmph, well looks like we will be saving a lot more people from having to witness this atrocity of a group." Vegeta taunted. "Raditz now!"
The group turned to Goku probably expecting him to be the one Vegeta was talking about, so none of them were prepared for the bast coming from behind.
It managed to hit the one called Recoome while the rest scattered away from it. It gave Vegeta and Goku the opening to move away from the trapped space they were in.
Raditz, Tien, and Piccolo landed on the ground while Goku and Vegeta joined them. Soon both groups were facing each other.
"Well, looks like we have an even amount of fighters on our hands." Ginyu pointed out.
Recoome stomped one foot forward and pointed to Raditz. "This one is mine."
Raditz sighed. The one he got looked weaker compared to the rest, but he couldn't exactly complain. He flew off to a different direction while Recoome followed him.
"I call him!" Both Vegeta and Goku shouted at the same time, pointing at Ginyu.
"Kakarot, you already got the chance to fight yesterday, I haven't gotten the chance to test out my full strength yet." Vegeta complained.
"I haven't either!" Goku argued back. "The guys I fought were all weak and you know it! Plus you owe me, you made me dye my hair blonde!"
Vegeta crossed his arms. "Fine! If it'll get you to stop bitching about that already. I'll settle for you with the white hair." He challenged.
Both Goku and Vegeta flew off in separate ways to start their own matches.
"I guess that leaves you as my opponent." Burter said to Piccolo.
"Bring it." He replied as they flew off.
Guldo chuckled. "Although you might think you got off easy, I assure you, you were the most unlucky."
"Somehow I doubt that." Tien mumbled to himself.
"How long do you think they'll be gone?" Chi-Chi wondered out loud.
"You mean the boys? Hard to say." Bulma said. They were currently in lunch with the remaining group that didn't go to fight, which included Maron. "If it was an easy opponent, they probably would have been back here by now, but its not, so its hard to say."
"Maybe if we knew the kind of strength this mysterious person had we could estimate when, but we don't even know who they're fighting." Krillin added. He paused for a second, before he turned to Maron. "Hey, you were with Raditz when he was trying to find the hide out right? Don't you know who this guy is?"
Maron shook her head no. "We were only able to find out the location of the place he stayed at, we never actually got to see who the instructor was. Raditz was planning on doing some scouting before they actually attacked anyways, so it didn't really matter at the time."
"Good thing they have Raditz with them though." Yamcha said. "That guy might be as reckless as Goku when it comes to fighting, but he at least makes a plan before all the madness starts."
"Yeah, and if Raditz gets out of hand, Piccolo almost never loses his cool." Krillin chuckled.
"Still, it does feel a little lonely without them around." Bulma said. "I don't know about you guys, but it gets boring when they're isn't some kind of action happening around me sometimes."
"Well, I wouldn't be too sure about that just yet." 18 warned.
"What do you mean?" Bulma replied. She, and the rest of the group curiously turned their full attention to 18.
"I've been keeping my eye out, and those people that work for Frieza suddenly vanished some time during lunch." 18 revealed.
"Are you sure? Maybe they're somewhere across campus where we can't see them?" Bulma offered.
18 turned her head to the side as the rest of her hair followed her. "Its not just that. I haven't been able to feel their ki either. Its giving me a bad feeling."
"I mean there is the chance that they decided to conceal it," Krillin stated. "but that doesn't exactly clear them from suspicion either."
Bulma nodded in agreement. "If they know that a lot of the strong members of our group are currently missing, then it would make sense to attack us now, but would Frieza even take that chance? I mean isn't that risking exposure to everyone else who sees?"
"That's only if they decided to use their powers." Maron reminded. "I don't think even Frieza is stupid enough to let hundreds of people to see that."
"If they don't decide to use ki though I think we still have the advantage to our side." Yamcha said. "Hasky isn't really a fighter, so I doubt she would be a problem, and the other two would be outmatched against all of us without the use of their ki."
Chi-Chi wanted to agree with Yamcha's reasoning, but she knew better than anyone to not underestimate Hasky, or Frieza. Both were willing to play dirty just to get what they wanted. She would just have to have her guard more up than usual.
The warning bell rang signaling the end of lunch. The group stood up emptying any kind of remaining trash from their lunch left.
Chi-Chi had barely tossed in her drink to the trash when the first explosion hit.
Raditz watched as his opponent arrogantly grinned at him showing off his crooked teeth. Just from first glace, Raditz could tell this guy had dumbass written all over him. He was most likely the type to rely mostly on his strength and power than anything else.
Holding a hand out, Raditz released a simple ki blast while he raced along with it. Like expected, Recoome brought his hands to shield himself from the blast. Taking advantage of that, he appeared above Recoome and shot out another blast at the same time his first one reached him.
Confident that he hit him, Raditz did not expect the pair of hands to hit him on the back of his neck. The impact sent him straight to the ground face first. He hadn't expected that big guy to dodge both his attacks at the same time.
Picking himself up, he flew straight to Recoome, aiming for his face with his foot. Seconds before his foot would have made contact with his face, Recoome made some kind of funny pose, causing Raditz to miss and land on some piles of rock.
"What the fuck!" Raditz complained out loud. This huge idiot was making him look like the stupid one!
Recoome laughed at him in amusement. "Nice try little guy, but you might want to try a little harder against me. Guess your time is up though."
Raditz wasn't prepared for the sudden quickness of Recoome, and paid the price with a sock to the face that sent him flying. Recoome quickly added a combination with the move, and used his butt to hit Raditz's back while he was still in the air, sending him back to the ground.
The long haired Saiyan wasn't to happy with that. His pride was now injured, and his anger was in full force. With a battle cry, he powered up causing the ground from underneath to break. Using his elbow, he struck Recoome on his face.
While in the air, he grabbed his foot from underneath, and swung him around before letting him drop to the ground. He seen Recoome hit the ground with enough force and speed to push the rocky ground underneath like it was a rug.
Not giving him any openings, Raditz unleashed a fury of ki blasts all at once directly towards Recoome. The dumbass will now have to pay the price of injuring a Saiyan's pride.
In what might of looked like random sparks in the sky to a normal viewer, Piccolo and Burter were both trading off powerful blows that caused the rocks nearby to be destroyed. They were both even in strength, and equally got hits in.
"Not bad, but lets see if you can actually keep up with me!" Burter taunted.
Piccolo carefully kept his eyes trained on Burter waiting for any kind of attack or movement from him. Suddenly before his eyes, Burter was in front of him. Piccolo barely brought his arms up on time to block Burter's hit. The impact caused him to fly backwards. He forced himself to come to a stop, but as he opened his eyes, he couldn't see Burter anywhere in sight. Turning right and left, he seen nothing, but rock and dirt.
"I'm over here!" Burter said from right next to him as he sent a ki blast to Piccolo's side.
"Urgh!" He let out. Holding his side he didn't give himself to dwell on his injury, and tried to look for any sign of the blue alien. His eyes widening, he turned around, but was too late, and received two feet hitting his back.
Burter began to switch to different sides around playing around with Piccolo. The Namekian tried to keep up with him, but Burter proved to be too fast for him.
There was only one option left for him to do. Waiting for the opening, Piccolo got hit in the face. Pushing through the slight pain, he stretched his arms so that they grabbed Burter no matter how far he moved.
"What the-?" Burter said as Piccolo's arms trapped him. Tightening his hold, Piccolo brought him close enough till he was able headbutt him.
Although his opponent was strong, Piccolo was sure he was able to win this fight. He just hoped everyone else was having similar results.
"W-What… happened?" Chi-Chi moaned to herself from the floor. Had she fainted? The last thing she had remembered was throwing her stuff away and then an explosion hit. She heard some screams come from the campus and then people were running all around the place.
The group had looked just as confused as she was. They all turned to each other for answers, but everyone had on a similar expression of bewilderment.
Then a second explosion hit and it seemed to snap everyone back to attention. "What was that?" Yamcha asked what everyone else was thinking.
"A-Are we under attack?" Bulma shakily questioned.
That was when the third explosion hit almost directly towards them. She was the furthest away so she dealt with the least strength of it, but the impact managed to blow her away till she hit a wall from some building.
Getting up, she held her head which was currently ringing. Looking around, she seen Yamcha had managed to shield both Maron and Bulma, but they had still suffered some injuries from scrapping across the floor.
Krillin and 18 were both on their feet and looked like they had been able to dodge the attack for themselves when it came towards them.
"Is everyone alright?" Krillin shouted over the noise of students yelling. There was smoke everywhere so it was hard to see anything.
"We're good over here!" Yamcha yell back.
"I'm fine too." Chi-Chi replied. "Who is attacking us?"
"I don't know." 18 answered as she looked around. She was trying to feel for any kind of ki signal. She looked up in shock. "He's up there! Move now!"
The sudden amount of feeling in 18's voice got everyone scrambling to listen to her command. Yamcha grabbed Maron while Krillin got Bulma and they went to the air. Chi-Chi was about to run for herself, but she got swept up by 18.
All of them narrowly avoided another blast aimed straight for them. "Do you think its Turles and that other guy?" Chi-Chi shouted to 18 while they floated in the air.
18 didn't answer right away, and instead starred in the direction the blasts came from. Blowing her hair out of her face she glared at the smoke. "No, its someone way more stronger than them. Stronger than anyone we've ever dealt with."
"Do you think its Frieza?" Krillin yelled to her.
"No." She answered back. "Whoever it is, they're too much for us to deal with. We need to get out of here now!"
Turning around to a different direction, 18 took off with Chi-Chi. Yamcha and Krillin didn't even hesitate, and followed her from behind.
Chi-Chi had to put her hands in front of her eyes to shield her from the wind hitting her face. 18 must have been flying as fast as could, which kind of scared Chi-Chi, and not just because they were flying in crazy speed. If 18 was in such a hurry to get away that must mean it was a really tough opponent.
"T-They're following us!" Krillin informed them.
"I knew it, their target is us!" 18 said. Although her voice sounded calm, Chi-Chi could see the slight panic written in her features.
"What do we do now?" Yamcha questioned.
Before anyone could answer though a ball of energy passed dangerously close to all of them. 18 and Krillin had to move quickly to avoid it.
"Shit they're closer then we thought!" Krillin exclaimed.
Chi-Chi quickly glance back, and caught glimpse of something pink. Her heart dropped as she realized who had been chasing them. If they got out of this alive, it would be a miracle.
Haha, I got all of you guys. Did you think I was going to upload yesterday? Haha well april fool- Alright, I got sick, so I'm turning this in a day late . Sorry guys, I couldn't really focus on anything while I was sick, so it was hard to write. Anyways, I have a confession to make, I never really knew a lot about the Ginyu force. I use to watch dbz when I was a little girl, but I didn't actually watch it in order till I got into anime, which was when I was like 12. I always skipped the Frieza saga and went straight to the android one, so I had to do a lot of research for the Ginyu force which also slowed me down. I know a lot of you guys wanted them to appear so I hope I did them justice.
Also, since I've already written a couple chapters for my new story, I think I'll be uploading that soon so look out for that. I still need to write out a couple more chapters for me to feel safe though so I don't know when I'll upload it. Thanks again for the patience! v.v
