Chapter 38 - Abandoned
What was going on?
Was the thought that had been in her mind the past month as she wandered about the woods.
This was what she should have wanted. A village to belong to, a place to call home, friends (she haven't had any yet, for she had put off job hunting for a while considering the numbers that were displayed on her bank book. It was enough to live off for a year, comfortably)
So why was she always straying into these woods?
It was funny, seeing as she was more alone now than she ever was in her 'cage'.
"Is this freedom...?"
For she wasn't sure what was going on anymore.
