The gang is at a Sheldon approved restaurant.
"So do you think either one will come back engaged or married?"
"If so my bet is on shenny." Raj said.
"Shenny?" Leonard asks.
"Yes, Howard , Bernie and I came up with it."
"How come Penny and I didn't get one?" Leonard whined.
"Well all we came up with was Lenny and frankly that sounds a little lame."
"Shenny isn't?"
"No, it's catchy."
"Is this one of your need of approvals Sheldon points out about you ?" Amy ponders.
"No It's just Penny and our names weren't put together."
"Maybe it was because we didn't think you'd last, guess we were right." Bernadette says.
"I guess you were." Leonard says picking at his food.
"Cheer up Leonard, you two have been broken up for months now."
"I know it's just the two hottest women I know are unavailable and very well could be either getting engaged or married as we speak."
"Uh hmm." Bernadette says.
"Sorry the three hottest women I know are unavailable."
"What about me?"
"The three hottest women I know are unavailable for me to date, I'm a decent guy sure I'm no Channing Tatum but I'm good looking and a great catch why can't I find anyone."
"Well for one, even when you find the "one" you screw it up." Howard says.
"How so?"
"First you drive them away with always need to be right or your way and not to mention how needy you are. First you screwed up with Stephanie, then you screwed up Penny because she wasn't ready to commit and your need for a answer, I'll give you a pass with Priya as she screwed her ex's brains out.
"How dare you talk of my sister in that manner." Raj says.
"So she didn't sleep with her ex and crush Leonard's fragile heart."
"Well yes, but how dare you speak of her in that manner."
"Fine Priya bedded her ex while Leonard was over not getting any. Then Penny again and now we're at this point in time."
"I suppose you might be right, I just wanted her to commit or something , either she knows we have a future instead of putting it off or changing the subject. I'm tired of just standing by and waiting."
"Well the fact she broke up with you twice should tell you something."
"Or three times is the trick."
"Look I'm done with with being single. I'm not good at it. Look, obviously, you can't tell a woman you just met that you're future babies will be smart and beautiful, but it sucks that you can't. I'll tell you something though, If a woman, maybe not Penny or Missy or in the group, but a some hypothetical woman, were to bear with me through it all, I'd make a damn good husband, because that's the stuff I'd be good at. Stuff like makin' her laugh and bein' a good father."
"Leonard okay but I'm going to stop you before you turn into Ted Mosby."
"Hey don't say it like that he is a hopeless romantic looking for his future wife. Just like Leonard and I." Raj says.
"You got the hopeless right."
"Even in a weird unconventional way he and Robin got together in the end."
"Yeah but unlike him you and Penny aren't going to her and Sheldon will if you had seen them around each other for the last few years."
"You're crazy, yes they're together and maybe they'll last but to suggest they're destined is crazy."
"Well it is, she's with Sheldon I suggest you find someone else."
"Like Missy, I've never really told her how I feel."
"How about this someone not in the group?"
"What if my soul mate is out there or I've dated her and let her go or I've yet to tell her how I feel?"
"Leonard you'll find her but chasing ghosts of girlfriend pasts won't help you find it."
"Yeah plus if Missy becomes single she's mine." Raj says.

"Bernadette if you could only be with one who would you choose?"
"I can't answer I'm with howie."
"What if Howard wasn't around?"

"Well for one he's exotic looking-"

"He can cook, sweet, likes chick flicks and is a cutie."

"Well for one I know ever negative thanks to you dating Penny and I'd know what to expect plus the only thing Penny told me about Raj is he is sweet and gentle."
"I thought you said you two feel asleep."
"Well according to Penny they most certainly didn't. Like I said I don't think you've learned from Penny plus Penny never told us why you two dated or what she saw in you. Hypothetically of course."
"There's someone out there, I'm sure."
"Just don't make a fool out of yourself and making things awkward by trying to win back Penny or say anything to Missy, find someone new."

"Now that that's settled who wants to wager on which couple is engaged and/or married?" Howard asks.
"How much?" Raj asks.
"The loser buys the others comics for a month." Howard says.
"Deal." Raj says.
"I bet shenny eloped in Texas and Missy and Devon are engaged." Howard says.
"What if neither got hitched or engaged?"
"Then neither win."
"I bet just shenny are engaged."
"Deal."
"I bet neither as Penny would tell us as she'd want to share it with us."
"I agree with Bernie."
"Bet still on?" Raj asks.
"Of course."

"Hello Devon up early?" Meemaw says.
"Yes Ma'am."
"You seem to have something on your mind."
"I don't know if it's nothing or I'm making it into nothing."
"You're making what into something?"
"It seems to me not long after Missy and the Brian guy we met at church were engaged she started to have doubts before she ended things."
"Have you discussed this with Missy?"
"No I haven't."
"I would. But what I know it wasn't because they got engaged, it was her life here."
"Oh."
"She was in a rut, the only thing going for her was Brian and she's more than that, she was just living going through the motions. Her getting engaged was her wake up call if you will."
"So if I were to ask her to marry her she wouldn't break it off?"
"I can't speak for my grand daughter but I see the way she looks at you, can't blame her there you're one of the most gorgeous men I've ever met. I can't say you'll have a fairy tell but trust me you two are perfect for one another. Maybe Brian wasn't perfect for Missy but you are."
"Thank you Meemaw."
"You're welcome dear. Now have a plate." She says as he sits at the table.

"Missy wake up." Devon says nudging her .
"Hmm." She says rolling over and gives her negligee better view.
"Devon?"
"Oh you brought me coffee how sweet."
"So what's up?"
"I was talking to Meemaw."
"About?"

"Okay."
"I talking to her about your most recent engagement."
"I'm going to stop you right there." She says sitting up straight and adjusting the top as not to give Devon to much of a show since her mom and Meemaw aren't to far away.
"I love you and if we get engaged it'll be because I want to."
"Well that's good to hear she said you broke up with him and moved to Pasadena was because you were in a rut and he was the only thing you had going for you."
"Well that's kind of true."
"I love you what Meemaw said was partially true, I was just going day by day. Clocked in for work and clicked out and went home and repeat, with you, you make me feel alive plus I'm doing something I enjoy. So I want whenever that may be to marry you and have as many kids as possible, well maybe not as many as possible I'm not a Duggar or a sperm bank."
"So I make you feel alive huh?"
"Oh yeah. Very alive."
"Well getting with a brotha' does that to a white girl." She just shakes her head at him.
"Well I need to take a shower so shoo."
"Okay okay." He says making his way out.

"I wish you could stay longer." Mary says.
"We'll visit more and you can always visit."
"Okay, I'd be nice if you visited more but I suppose I could visit more."
"Come on Shelly give me a hug." Mary says drawing him into a hug.
"Bye mother."
"You take care of this one you hear, they don't come along and put up you all that often. Don't make her wait or some guy will realize how special she is" Mary whispers to Sheldon.
"Yes ma'am."
"Now Penny please be patient with him, I see how perfect y'all are for one another and can make each other so happy for the long haul." Mary whispers to Penny.
"I live your son more than I've ever loved anyone that's not my family, he doesn't care how I look if I'm perfect or if I have makeup on or not."
"I'm so happy to hear that, I never thought I'd get to hear that."
"Well bye Mrs. Cooper until next time."
"Call me Mary I have a feeling we'll be family sooner rather than later."
"Okay."
"Devon you're a wonderful man and whenever you want to propose to my daughter you have my blessing."
"Thank you."
"Now Missy I was worried about you moving to California especially when I thought you were throwing away a great guy like Brian, but I'm glad you did what you did. I've never seen you so happy before."
"Thank you momma."
"Don't let this one get away."
"I don't plan on it." She whispers back.
"Now Shelly you put my engagement ring on Penny before I'm gone, I can't wait forever."
"Are you ill Memaw?"
"Of course not, but I'm a old woman, The Lord can't keep me here forever."
"Okay. But what if she says no like with Leonard?"
"Something tells me she won't, plus what you said in those letters they were wrong for each other and if what you said was true I can't disagree."
"I wasn't."
"Then you two are nothing like her and Leonard."
"Trust me on this."
"Okay Meemaw."
"Mother and Meemaw if you're done we need to head to where our plane is to check in."
"Very well."
"Well bye and be safe."
"Seeing as I have no control over the flight I can't guarantee that."
"What he means is thank you Mary." Penny interjects.
"Well good bye to you all." Mary says letting them head to their plane.

Bernadette, Howard, Leonard, Raj and Amy are eating at the guys apartment when the group walks in.
"Hello." Sheldon says
"Hi how was your trip ?" Leonard asks.
"It was nice." Penny replies.
"Good. Are y'all hungry?"
"Yes, like Sheldon would ever let us eat on the plane." Missy replies.
"You have no idea where it's been."
"I'm not get to argue you with this anymore. Plus I'm hungry." She says as the others sit as well.
"So any big news?" Howard asks.
"Such as what?" Sheldon says.
"These two bet one or both of you are either engaged or married." Bernadette said gesturing to her husband and best friend.
"What?" Penny said.
"I'm not even the bit surprised, well who bet neither? "
"Bernadette and Amy agreed with her, but it was more of a observation than a bet."
"It was a bet, you two are my bitches for a week." She says in the meanest voice she can muster up.
"Wait what?"
That sounds like a good idea, maybe have one of them find me some one tall dark and hung for momma. Amy thinks.
"Yeah what she said."
"We didn't think you'd get engaged much less marry without us knowing about it."
"Well you're right, your my family."
"You're my girls." Penny said to Bernadette and Amy.
"Oh man, it was your fault." Howard says to Raj.
"Me? You're the one that proposed the best first."
"It was yours first."
"Good to be home." Penny says leaning back on the couch.

"I'm good, but it's been pointed out to me by my daughter that we're dating."
"Is that what you'd like?" He asks.
"I'm unsure, it's been so long since I've dated, but I really like you."
"Then I take that as a yes." He says taking her hand in his as she smiles up at him.
