Well I intended on getting at least something written for the next fic, but I ended up going to the cinema with my sister and finally seeing the Hobbit: Battle of Five Armies instead.
Anyways, I hope you enjoy the final chapter of this fic. Let me know what you think!
Chapter 37: Mystic Fate Part 2
Nick stared at the spot where his mother had disappeared, breathing heavily as Black Lance approached the Rangers.
"Now you will fall, just as your mother has," he mocked, and Nick looked up, glaring angrily at the laughing Terror. He pushed himself up, ignoring Black Lance's mocking.
"Now you've made me mad," Nick approached him, morphing as he walked towards the cocky monster.
"Come on!" Black Lance goaded.
"You're going down!" Nick drew his sword and ran at Black Lance, dodging his attacks and leaping into the air. Swinging as hard as he could, Nick's sword shattered Black Lance's shield on impact. The Terror cried out as it fell to the ground in pieces.
"My shield!" he stared at it as Nick stepped back.
"Fireheart!" he called on the Dragon, who tackled Black Lance with a roar and flew back to land behind Nick. "Good work Fireheart!" Nick praised as Black Lance got back up.
"Your dragon will not save you this time," he warned, attacking again. Fireheart's wings covered Nick, and when the smoke cleared, Nick was walking towards Black Lance with his Battilizer activated. He continued to attack him with full force, striking Black Lance repeatedly with his blades and making him cry out in pain. Nick threw him back, and followed him, striking him again and knocking Black Lance into the rubble.
"Bullseye!" Nick deactivated his Battilizer, and Fireheart flew off with another loud roar. "You guys want in on this?" he glanced to the other Rangers, who got to their feet.
"Gladly," Xander grinned, and the others nodded.
"MAGICAL SOURCE, MYSTIC FORCE!" they morphed and ran at Black Lance, blasting him with their elemental magic before joining Nick.
"Thanks for joining the party," Nick told them, and they leapt into the air.
"MYSTIC SPELL SEAL!" they blasted Black Lance, destroying him. They landed lightly, and cheered at their victory. However, it was short-lived when red lightning flashed and thunder rumbled overhead.
"What's going on?" Nick wondered as they ran towards where it was coming from.
"It's him," Vida growled. "It's the Master," they all looked up to see the Master land, much larger than them and laughing loudly, rumbling through the city.
"Where's my father?!" Nick demanded.
"And my parents!" Ari added as they faced the powerful monster. He laughed loudly, and turned slightly.
"Right here!" he cast a spell, and Daggeron's body materialised, crashing into the rubble and not moving.
"Daggeron!" Maddie ran over and shook him, but he didn't wake.
"Here!" they looked up as Althea fell next. "And Leánbow!" the red and purple armoured Knight hit the rubble.
"This can't be..." Nick breathed as Ari sank to the ground. "All we've done was in vain..." Nick staggered towards his father as Chip supported Vida, who could barely stand as she sobbed as hard as her sister. "All this time, finding my dad..." Nick fell to his knees beside his father, and lifted him into his arms.
"No...it can't end like this..." Ari was shaking, her breathing coming out in short, desperate pants as Xander crouched beside her and pulled her into him. She put her arms around her head, clamping her eyes shut, but she still saw their bodies falling from the sky again and again.
"Nothing can stop me bringing darkness and despair to this world!" the Master laughed as he enjoyed watching their suffering.
"What could you possibly gain by destroying our whole world?!" Xander demanded as he looked up at the Master.
"Your world is now my world!" the Master snapped at him, and red lights wrapped around them, yanking them away from each other, and from the bodies of the fallen Knights. "You want to see what my world will look like?" he asked as he lifted them up to his face. He let out a yell, and opened his mouth, casting a spell that caused the whole world to stop and become blanketed in darkness.
"It's so dark!" Maddie cried out, her voice quivering.
"This is the future of your world!" the Master announced, and tossed them to the ground. "There is no purpose for your species. Once I eat your magic, you will become part of the dust I walk on. That will be your one and only purpose," he declared as they got to their feet.
"We're not done!" Nick shouted. "You haven't defeated us yet!" he told the Master, who just watched in amusement.
"LEGEND WARRIRORS!" they activated their stronger powers, and called on the Manticore Megazord to face him.
"Yes, more power for me to eat!" the Master laughed as he just watched them.
"Come on Rangers, we've got to hit him with all of our magic!" Nick called to his friends. They held their hands over their console, and it began to glow brightly.
"Legend Striker, Spin Attack!" they threw the spinning fire at the Master, but he just opened his mouth and devoured it.
"Impossible! He-he consumed our spell like it was nothing!" Xander yelled as the Master reached out, wrapping a tentacle around their weapon.
"You are nothing!" he declared, and shattered their lance. The Megazord instantly reacted, shaking and collapsing. "It is now over! The hopelessness and fear I feel inside of you makes your power even more tender to dine on!" tentacles appeared around his mouth, and lights rose from the fallen Megazord.
"Our magic! I can feel him taking it!" all of them felt their magic quickly disappearing, stealing their Legend powers. He then kicked the Megazord, and it disappeared, throwing the Rangers to the ground. They got back up, their helmets gone as the Master cackled loudly. They ran into a cave, away from the Master, but they could still hear his laughter.
"Alright, we're safe," Chip breathed in relief.
"Safe?" Nick spun around to face Chip. "Are you kidding me? That thing just destroyed our Megazord, not to mention Daggeron, Althea and my dad..." Nick shook his head, turning away from them.
"So that's it?" Vida demanded as she approached him. "The great Nick, the Red Ranger, is calling it quits?" she asked him coldly as she got in his face. Nick didn't speak, instead turning away, but Xander blocked his way.
"Whoa, don't walk away. Answer her," Xander spoke quietly as he stared Nick down. "Are you giving up?" he asked.
"Get out of my way," Nick growled, tense and ready to go on the offensive.
"No Nick, you answer that," Chip challenged him next.
"Guys, wake up and smell the darkness!" Nick finally snapped. "We've done our best. We've failed. We're no match for that thing. Fine. Yes, I've given up," he told them as he turned away. As he did, someone grabbed his shoulder, and he turned, just as Ari's fist connected with his cheek.
"No," her voice was low as Nick staggered, barely managing to stay on his feet. "You are not giving up!" Ari yelled at him as he put a hand to his face, stunned. Tears stained the Gold Ranger's face, and hadn't stopped since she had seen her parents fall. She grabbed the front of his suit, glaring furiously at him. "You are the leader of this damn team, you are the Light! We've gotten this far because of you, we've never given up before, and we are not about to start now!" they all stared at her, before a bright golden light filled the cave.
"You're glowing," Ari frowned at Chip's comment, unable to see it. Then the light disappeared from her face, and showed in Nick's.
"It's just like before," Nick breathed as he thought back to the fight against Oculous. Suddenly they were blasted off their feet by more red magic.
"It is time to finish this meal," the Rangers groaned in pain as the Master appeared in front of them. "Welcome to your end!" he declared.
"Not here," Nick told him, getting to his feet and stopping the Master's laughing. He stepped around his friends, approaching the monster. "Not now. This is not the end," he said as the Master looked down at him.
"You are only one," the Master scoffed.
"And unfortunately for you, the wrong one!" Nick shouted, calling on his sword and staff. "I call forth the powers of good magic still left in the world!" he held them over his chest. "Of all the good magic still left in my body! Come to me now! MAGICAL SOURCE, MYSTIC FORCE!" his helmet returned as he called on all the power he could. He let out a yell as fire surrounded him.
"The Light will be most delectable," the Master attacked him, but Nick dodged, cutting the tentacles that went for him. He then leapt into the air, and slashed down, cutting through the armour on his head. "No! My armour!" he staggered back, but Nick followed. He slashed down, and bright lights shone from where the sword stuck.
"Return us now!" Nick ordered. "Take my hand!" he held out his hand to his friends, and they grabbed hold of each other. Strong winds picked up as bright lights shone around them, and the next thing they knew, they were skidding backwards along the ground, their Rangers suits completely gone.
"We're back," Chip couldn't help but smile as he recognised their surroundings.
"Yeah...but now our magic is gone for good," Nick pointed out as they struggled to get up. Hearing a furious snarl, they looked up and found the Master watching them.
"Look what you've done to me! You will pay for this!" he shot tentacles at them, but before they could reach the six, they turned to stone and shattered. As they did, Claire and Snow Prince appeared in front of them. "What?!" the Master roared.
"Snow Prince?"
"Claire!" they ran over to the pair. "You have powers?" Nick stared at his cousin, who smiled brightly.
"Yes! Mystic Mother made me a full Sorceress!" she told them proudly.
"You lie!" the Master accused her. "I destroyed the Mystic Mother!" he yelled.
"No! Just before you attacked the Mystic Mother, she cast a spell and turned herself into energy," Snow Prince corrected him.
"A few magic tricks will not stop me!" the Master told them, growing more and more furious. "I will return to the depths, and gather my strength!" he declared.
"I'm afraid that won't be possible," a familiar voice told him, amused. They all looked around in shock, and found Udonna walking over. "It seems your pit no longer exists," she smiled.
"No longer exists?!" the Master repeated, not understanding what she meant.
"What she means, is you no longer have a place to dwell in your darkness," Itassis and Necrolai walked up and stood beside the Snow Witch.
"Itassis?! You're alive!" the Master was stunned to see the Terror. "Where is Sculpin?!" he demanded.
"He is no more," Itassis told him simply.
"What?!" the Master roared. "But I am your Master!" he told Itassis furiously as he realised that she had destroyed Sculpin.
"Well this puppet has cut the strings," Itassis blasted him, and the Master cried out, disappearing in a cloud of smoke. They cheered, jumping around, and Udonna ran to embrace Nick as neither celebrated. Ari watched sadly, and Xander hugged her as the others remembered what they had lost. "The Master is gone for now, but he will be back," Itassis warned them, before noticing their mood. "Tell me, White Ranger, why do you shed tears?" she asked curiously.
"The tears are for our sadness, for our losses," she told the curious Terror. "For my husband...Leánbow," she looked over to her fallen husband. "Daggeron...and Althea," she looked to the other two Knights as her tears continued.
"That is something that I cannot help you with," Itassis said apologetically, looking away.
"My mum can," they looked around as Leelee arrived, smiling confidently.
"Leelee?"
"You can do anything you want mum, always could. Do it mum!" Leelee pleaded with her mother, smiling softly. "I believe in you," she told her. Necrolai looked around at the three, seeming to be deep in thought as nobody spoke, watching as they were unsure whether or not to hope.
"Alright. I will try to revive them," Necrolai walked over, and cast a spell. Purple lights flew to the three, and their armour disappeared, before she collapsed with a cry. Leánbow, Daggeron and Althea groaned suddenly, and as the smoke faded, they were on their feet, looking a little confused.
"Son!" Leánbow smiled as Nick ran and hugged him. Althea smiled as she was nearly knocked off her feet by Ari, who couldn't stop herself from crying as Daggeron walked over. He hugged them both, before Althea punched his shoulder.
"Never do that again!" she told him, tears in her eyes as well.
"What?!" he looked alarmed as he rubbed his arm.
"Hey, don't forget about me!" Jenji ran over, and the others ran over to hug them as well, laughing.
"Great to have you back teach," Chip grinned as he hugged Daggeron.
"Great to be back," the Knight laughed.
"Mum?!" they all looked around as Leelee crouched beside her mother, looking terrified. Bright lights sparked from her, before she transformed. Getting to her feet, she turned around, revealing herself to be human, and hugged her daughter tightly as they all laughed in disbelief. Their joy was cut short as the ground shook, and the Master's roar echoed as he reappeared over them.
"Quite a reunion! Sorry I have to destroy it," he commented mockingly as he watched them all stand together.
"Rangers, our magic is gone," Udonna reminded them as they stepped back.
"I've got an idea! Let's all run, ok?" Jenji suggested, but Daggeron and Althea stopped the genie from running away, rolling their eyes.
"I'm through running," Nick spoke lowly, and everyone looked at him. "I've found my real family," he looked to Udonna and Leánbow. "I've found my home," he looked to Maddie, taking her hand and squeezing it as she smiled at him. "No more running," he released her and walked forwards. "I stand and fight!" the others cheered loudly and ran to join him.
"We fight!" Vida nodded determinedly.
"So be it," the Master chuckled. "You are powerless now! My victory is already at hand!" he told them loudly.
"We'll show the Master what real courage is," Nick told his friends, who nodded. "Even without magic," he decided.
"Without magic, Mystic Ones?" a voice echoed overhead, sounding amused by his comment. "You are never without magic. You just have to know where to find it," a figure appeared in the light.
"Wait...is that...?" Ari frowned up at her.
"Never without magic? What does she mean by that?" Maddie wondered.
"Maybe she meant us?" Toby called over, and they all looked around to see Toby leading a group of people from town.
"It's my parents!" Chip yelled, spotting his parents in the crowd.
"Oh, what the hell?" Ari slapped a hand to her face as she spotted her parents and siblings, including Hannah, in the crowd as well. Nick noticed his sister grinning at him, and Xander, Vida and Maddie soon noticed their families as well, all of whom were staring in disbelief.
"Or maybe she meant us?" Phineas laughed, and they looked to their other side to see Phineas leading a group of Magical Creatures.
"Or maybe she was talking about us?" they looked around to see Zoe with her family, as well as the rest of the Ninja Rangers and Melody as they stood amidst the rubble, with the Ninja Rangers sitting on the highest rocks with wide grins. Other Ninjas from the Celestial Academy stood with them.
"I spoke to some of the people from the city, and I told them that the forest, and those that live there, are not the ones for us to fear!" Toby explained with a wide grin. "It helped that I got a little bit of backup," he gestured to Joe and his mother. Ari just slapped a hand to her face.
"And I spoke the same truth to those of the forest. Either we stay the way we were and perish, or we stand together and fight the real evil!" Phineas declared as he looked up at the Master, and those behind him cheered.
"And we explained to my dad about what was happening to those that had disappeared in the forest. And guess what," Zoe adjusted her glasses, and levelled a glare at her father. "Turns out he knew the whole time. Apparently his cousin was-"
"Althea!" Sensei Suguira exclaimed, and they all spun around to look at Althea. She stared at him, stunned to see him there.
"Oh, now is so not the time to find out more about my family tree," Ari groaned, slapping her hand to her face again.
"Keep that up and you're going to leave a red mark there," Vida grinned, and was elbowed in response.
"Power Rangers, you have fought all year for us! Your magic is used up," Toby smiled to the group that stood in the middle. "Well, now let us give you some of our magic," he suggested, and they laughed.
"That's right, you're not the only ones," Phineas nodded. "All of us believe in magic, thanks to you," the three groups came together, connecting with each other and grasping hands.
"Together! We believe in magic!" everyone yelled as they surrounded them, and as they backed away, they revealed the Rangers morphed again.
"Wolf Warrior!"
"Solaris Knight!"
"Lunar Knight!"
"White Mystic Ranger!"
"Green Mystic Ranger!"
"Pink Mystic Ranger!"
"Blue Mystic Ranger!"
"Yellow Mystic Ranger!"
"Gold Mystic Ranger!"
"Red Mystic Ranger!"
"We call forth the magic, together as one! United for all time, Power Rangers Mystic Force!" they chanted loudly, and the Master roared angrily.
"Give me that Magic!" he demanded as they faced him again.
"You got it!" they threw their bright magic at the Master, who began to devour it. However, it just kept going.
"I devour it, yet still it comes!" he groaned, starting to stretch.
"Guys, it's working! Keep going! There is no end to our magic!" Nick yelled as the Master groaned again.
"Stop! It's too much!" he screamed, trying to escape.
"Full power!" the Rangers leapt into the air and continued to fill him with magic.
"I cannot take any more! I have devoured all I can!" the Master screamed, and exploded.
"Mystic Force!" they yelled from the sky, and the crowd below cheered.

Ari rubbed her temples as the crowd around them talked animatedly. She watched as Daggeron and Althea conversed with her adoptive parents, as well as Xander's parents, seeming to be getting along. At first her father had been stunned, and had scolded Ari for a good ten minutes in front of everyone for not telling anyone anything, before apologising for being so hard on her. And then he had yelled at Joe for knowing and not telling anyone.
"What's up, still freaking out over being related to Zoe?" Xander approached her with a grin.
"Well I was, until I saw that," she pointed past where Maddie and Vida were talking to their parents.
"Wait...is that?" Xander squinted, unable to believe what he was seeing.
"Turns out that Jessie has been dating Dustin for two months," Ari then turned to him and sighed as he stared at Ari's sister, who was talking to the Earth Ninja. "Not just that, I know I recognised the Mystic Mother as well, but I don't know where from," she admitted.
"Oh?" Ari jumped, clinging to Xander as he started laughing. She looked around as a glowing golden orb floated nearby, and the Mystic Mother's face appeared, grinning in it. "It seems you aren't as intelligent as I first assumed," she mused, and Ari's eyes widened.
"Rita Repulsa!" she pointed at the orb, and hid behind Xander.
"Who?" the Green Ranger frowned at her.
"Rita Repulsa, she was one of the first to attack Earth," Ari looked up at him. "Remember? The Mighty Morphin Rangers? She turned Doctor O into the evil Green Ranger," she reminded him.
"Maybe you are smart after all!" Mystic Mother laughed. "It's still a shock that my lovely Tommy became a Doctor as well. But that's not why I'm here. I've come to take this back since you don't need it any more," a golden light flew from Ari's necklace, and into the orb.
"What was that?" Ari lifted her necklace, frowning.
"That was the spell I left in your necklace when you were a baby. It allowed you to tap into your magic when you needed it most," she explained, and Ari stared at her, her mouth falling open. "You used it a lot more than I expected, but then again, I didn't expect you to get trapped under a building, or become a Ranger at 15, or when you got captured the first time, or when you ended up using it to break evils hold on your friend," she listed the various times that Ari had gotten into trouble. The girl just laughed nervously. "Of course, I had to step in myself now and again, like with your friend's morpher," Mystic Mother added.
"Wait, Zoe's Moon Morpher? You're the one who helped her fix it?" Ari demanded.
"Of course! She can barely work a computer, how else was she going to have fixed it herself?" Mystic Mother laughed. "Now don't mistake me taking this back as your destiny coming to an end. You still have a golden future ahead of you," Ari tilted her head, wondering what she meant. "Now if you'll excuse me, I have a palace to fix," with another laugh, she disappeared.
"Xander...did my head just explode?" Ari whimpered. "Cause I feel like it did," Xander just laughed and pulled her into a hug.
"Hey, we did it, we've beaten the bad guys. Just forget about the rest," he told her, and she nodded, starting to laugh.
"We won!" she laughed, reaching up to meet him in a kiss.
"I knew it!" hearing Ari's mother's yell, they looked around and saw Xander's dad and Althea laughing hard as his mother and Elizabeth looked delighted. However, neither Daggeron nor Ari's adoptive father looked very happy. Hannah, Joe and Mal were also laughing hard.
"Looks like you've got two dads to win over," Ari giggled, pulling out of his grasp and walking off to talk to the others.
"Oh come on!" Xander followed her with a groan, but she just kept laughing.

Humans and magical creatures alike worked hard in the forest to repair the Woodland Village that Nick had destroyed what seemed like months ago, but in reality was only two days ago.
"Can you teach me more about courage?" Itassis asked Daggeron eagerly as they, plus Jenji, walked through the forest.
"I'd be honoured to," Daggeron smiled to the Terror who had joined their side.
"And don't forget about me!" Jenji spoke up. "Courage is my middle name!" he insisted, which made Daggeron laugh. "Well, Marcus is my middle name, but you get what I mean," Jenji rambled as Daggeron led her away as Jenji started to tell one of his very long stories.
"Althea, are you jealous of Itassis?" the Lunar Knight jumped as Elizabeth spoke beside her.
"What?!" she looked alarmed, and started to go red as the blonde woman smiled knowingly at her. "What would I have to be jealous of?"she demanded, and Elizabeth laughed as she finished bandaging the Elf in front of her.
"Now I see where Ari gets that flustered behaviour of hers," Bernard commented from Elizabeth's other side as he checked his supplies. Since they were doctors, they had offered their services when they had heard that there had been injuries in the attack. Joe was helping nearby, and Krista was playing with some of the much younger magical creatures as Hannah watched with a smile.
"Now I see where she gets her love of tormenting people," Althea muttered, and the two started to laugh as she went even redder, finishing healing the faerie in front of her.

As she skateboarded down the street and stopped outside of Rock Porium, Ari pulled off her helmet and glanced across the road, where she saw Maddie talking to Nick as he handed her his baby blanket and hugged the nervous girl. As he released her, the young man then noticed Ari, and his expression darkened.
"Ari!" he yelled, and the Gold Ranger gulped. She looked up to see Nick charging across the road towards her.
"I didn't see anything!" Ari shouted as she ran into the shop, but her laughter made that unbelievable. Nick followed her inside, and Ari screamed as he continued to chase her.
"Ari, you can't run in here!" Xander tried to stop them, but Ari just ran behind him, and managed to scramble up his back and onto his shoulders. "And I'm not a tree for you to hide in!" Xander almost toppled over as Nick ran towards them, bright red.
"Give her up Xander, I'm really going to kill her this time," Nick warned as he stood in front of the taller teen. Ari stuck her tongue out at him. The customers stared as Xander tried to calm Nick down, while Ari just giggled from her vantage point. Finally, Nick turned, leaving the shop as Vida tried to stop her laughter from the stage. Matoombo stood beside the girl whose hair was now completely pink, and his confusion was obvious.
"See you when you get back Nick!" Ari called, waving to him.
"Shove off Ari," was his only response.
"Now that you've stopped annoying him, maybe you can get down and I can get back to work?" Xander suggested, looking up at the girl who grinned at him.
"Yes, manager sir," she giggled, and he crouched so she could get down. He kissed her quickly, and she smiled at him brightly.
"Still as big a brat as ever I see," Zoe commented as she approached, both watching as Xander continued to explain the jobs to the newest employee.
"I have no idea what you're talking about," Ari told her innocently. Hunter and Blake scoffed from where they sat. "And Dustin, just so you know, if you hurt my sister, I get to break your legs," she warned him, and he went bright red as the others laughed at him.
"Protective baby Ari!" Zoe lifted the girl up in a hug, and Ari sighed as she just accepted it.
"I have saved the world three times and I'm still a baby," she complained.
"Hey Ari, you better be ready for next month," Shane grinned as he stood beside Cam, having been listening to Chip's story about how he faced down Necrolai to save Vida.
"I hope you're ready to get your dreams crushed by the baby," Ari turned to him and smirked, and the others went 'ohh' as Shane couldn't help but laugh. Maddie walked back in, holding the baby blanket, and Ari turned and linked arms with her. "Like he wouldn't come back," she told the girl, who smiled softly.
"He told me to tell you that you're still a brat," Maddie told her, and Ari laughed as Maddie grinned at her, and they joined in the crowd that danced in front of where Vida was teaching Matoombo to become a DJ. Ari caught Chip's arms and pulled him in to dance with them, and as they all laughed, Ari remembered the Mystic Mother's words, and wondered just what could happen next.
