A.N: Yes, We're uploading another chapter right after we posted the other one...don't judge us. This is the chapter we are most proud of out of all of them, This one took us three days to think of the whole chapter, we were up 'till 2 or 3 something in the morning planning all this...so we really hope you enjoy this chapter…
The day was once again being started with a meeting. Ryan and his bride to be were sitting on the bottom step while the others sat where they normally sat. Benson walked up and Ryan said he and Julie had an announcement.
"Benson, I-uh we have an announcement to make." Ryan smiled, "Go right ahead." Benson said, Ryan and his blushing bride ran up next to where Benson was standing held each other's hand.
"You guys have all heard of Julie…" Ryan said, Julie smiled and waved at the group. Everyone else just nodded and waved. "Well...we're...we're getting…" "MARRIED!" They both yelled together,
Everyone was saying stuff like, "No way! Congratulations!" or "Alright! Ryan's getting married!" During this whole ordeal Piper looked at Ryan and smiled and gave him a wink. Ryan smiled and winked back. Then a certain bengal tiger walked up to the group holding what looked like a tray of light blue slushies.
"Hey guys-Oh hey…" Trevor smiled at Julie, Julie smiled back and gave a single nod. "Hey, what are those?" Julie asked pointing to the slushies,
"Oh, these are for the guys and Piper…" "Just a little something nice for them." Trevor explained,
"Oh." Julie said slightly sad, "But it's ok though. You can have mine." Trevor said, "Oh no, I couldn't." Julie said, "It's alright, I can always get another one later." he smiled warmly, "Well, okay, if you insist." Julie said taking one of the slushies out of the tray.
Everyone else came over and took a slushie. "I'm not really into slushies, but I'm willing to give it one more try." Piper smiled, "To life." Trevor said, "And to the upcoming union of Ryan and Julie." "Cheers!" Everyone said clanking their clear plastic cups together. Everyone then took a sip of their slushy. They tasted pretty good until Benson started to look a little dizzy.
"Hey Benson, you alright?" Mordecai asked his boss, "No, I feel a little weird." the gumball machine responded,
"Yeah, I feel a little weird too…" Rigby said putting his right paw to his head.
"Huh? Now that you mention it, I feel really weird too." Mordecai said,
Ryan was barely standing with Julie holding her stomach sickly and holding on to his left wing, "Something's not right…" he said,
Piper fell to her knees, her right wing holding her up while her left wing wrapped around her stomach. She looked over at Thomas who was on the ground passed out along with Muscle Man, Pops, and Benson.
"Thomas…" she said weakly, "What's happening?" Her eyes began to close and her voice began to trail off. "Thomas…" Then everything went black.
Piper suddenly awoke realizing she was in a sitting position on the cold floor beneath her all tied up. She tried to break loose but it was no use. She looked around at her surroundings and was curious to find that she was in a room full of computers and machines and she could tell they were underground because there was damp earth hanging above the lair. She then heard a familiar voice speak up,
"Piper?" The voice said, Piper recognized it immediately, "Ryan?" she said back, she then turned her head to find that she was tied up with all of the other park members and Ryan was on the other side.
"Ryan, where are we?" Piper asked, "I don't know…" Ryan responded, "But stay calm, there's gotta be a logical explanation." he said,
Suddenly they heard someone else stir. Piper looked over to see Thomas tied up next to her. He awoke and looked at the room they were in, then realized he was tied up. He tried to break free as well but it didn't work for him either. He looked over and saw his waterfowl lady friend.
"Piper?" he said confused, "Thomas? Thomas is that you?" Ryan said from the other side, "Yeah, Ryan?" Thomas called back, "Yeah." Ryan replied, "It must've been the slushies…" Ryan said, "There must've been something in them that knocked us out." he explained,
"It's the only thing that makes sense." Piper said, "Do you know where we are?" Thomas asked, "No." Piper responded shaking her head, "We're still trying to figure that out…"
Suddenly, Mordecai stirred then awoke, "Huh? Ugh…" Mordecai groaned, "Where are we?" "Mordecai?" Piper called out softly, "Piper?" Mordecai called back out, Piper nodded and said, "Yes Mordecai, I'm awake, and so are Thomas and Ryan."
Rigby then awoke with a groan who was tied up in between Thomas and Mordecai. Just then Pops and Benson woke up. Then everyone else followed, In the end, they were all wondering what had happened.
Julie was the last to wake. When she finally did she was relieved that she was tied up next to her finace.
"What's going on?" Julie said groggily, Ryan looked at her, "We don't know, but we're going to get out of here, I promise." he said,
"That vill be a bit complicated." a foreign male voice said,
"Who are you? what do you want?" Thomas struggled, "Well, to be most specific...You…" the figure emerged from the shadows. It was Trevor.
Everyone gasped, "Trevor?!" Mordecai exclaimed, "You're behind all of this?"
"That's right." Trevor continued in his foreign accent. The gang immediately recognized that accent...Russian.
"Oh man! not you too!" Rigby yelled, "Yes, I'm afraid so…" Trevor said, "Here we go again." Benson rolled his eyes,
"Zakryt' Yego!" Trevor spoke in Russian, "Which means 'Shut it!"
"Hey!" Thomas yelled, "Poydem! u nas net nikakoy delo zdes'!"
"What does that mean?" Mordecai whispered, Piper struggled as she used her phone to translate what Thomas was saying. "It means 'Let us go! we have no business here!'" Piper whispered and the rest of the gang understood.
"Oh really?" Trevor said, "Ve beg to differ!" "We?" Piper said,
Another figure emerged from the shadows. It was a female with blonde hair in an upward flip style of some sort. She was wearing a black and grayish jumpsuit with a black belt and black boots and had a black eyepatch over her left eye. It was Natalia.
Everyone gasped, "Natalie! You're alive! Benson yelled, you wanna go out on our date now?" he asked, Natalia pulled out a taser and shocked Benson with it. "I told you my name's NATALIA! and I've come for revenge on my old friend, Nicolai." she walked over and bent down and placed her left hand on Thomas' cheek as he stared up at her angrily. She then gave him a slap then walked back over to Trevor.
"Wait, Thomas you know this woman?" Piper said surprised, "Long story…" Thomas told her in his Russian accent, "I'll have to tell you later…"
"Enough reminiscing!" Natalia yelled, "Let's just get this over with!"
"We won't let you take our park again!" Benson yelled, "Darling, I already told you...That's not what we're here for…" she said, "We're here for revenge…"
"What are you talking about?" Rigby asked,
"As you're well aware, After Nicolai decided to play hero and save you fools and your park, he was being hunted down by the U.S and Russia. The U.S however, have managed to understand the situation. Since he did prevent another world war from happening, and he did put the park right back where it belonged. However, The Russians did not quite feel so forgiving..so they continued to send spies after him for revenge. They sent Trevor over here to get rid of you once and for all. But on his way over, The helicopter that was carrying him picked up my heat signal and they brought me over too." Natalia said, "To annihilate you!"
"But-but you were swallowed by a whale!" Mordecai said stunned, "How did you escape?"
"Through the blowhole!" Natalia said, Everyone nodded and said stuff like, "Yeah that makes sense."
"We are taking you back to Russia where Nicolai will be executed and you all will be put into hard labor camps!"
"Ooo, That sounds delightful!" Pops cheered, "Pops, that's a bad thing!" Piper whispered, "Oh, bad show." Pops said,
The gang was then loaded into a helicopter and the helicopter took off. The gang was upset because they knew this might be the end. Until Mordecai thought of something.
"Rigby, do you have any sprinklers on you?" Mordecai asked, "What?" Piper asked, "When we found out Thomas was a russian spy, they tied us up and Rigby broke free using a sprinkler head." Mordecai explained,
"Do I look I carry around sprinkler heads?" Rigby asked sarcastically,
"Enough!" Skips yelled, "There's gotta be another way out of this!"
The gang looked around until Rigby caught sight of a bottle sitting atop a crate. Rigby told the others and they all scooted together towards the crate and Rigby bumped the crate and the bottle fell and shattered on the floor. Rigby picked up a shard of the glass and cut himself loose. He untied the others and snuck towards the crate full of parachutes. Through the rearview mirror of the driver's seat in the helicopter, Natalia saw the ten park members opening the crate.
"Gah!" she yelled, she immediately set the helicopter to autopilot and she and Trevor ran up to the group as Benson was struggling with the lock on the crate. He finally got it open but then felt a fist hit his face. Benson fell to the floor and the gang looked up at Natalia and Trevor and began to attack. Rigby ran up to Trevor and started punching him and clawing him in the face while Trevor clawed at him but kept on missing. Natalia was being attacked by Benson and the others. Ryan and Mordecai ran up to Trevor and began helping Rigby attack him and the four began to brawl.
Benson tried to punch Natalia but she did what she did last time and grabbed his fist and crushed it so it would hurt. Benson fell to the floor just like before whimpering and holding his hand in agony.
Skips tried to attack her as well but she turned to him and tased him and he fell to the ground as well. Piper ran towards her but Natalia punched her down. Noticing that Piper was hurt, Thomas got super mad and ran towards her and was the first to deliver a blow to her. She fell to the ground and he pinned her down but she kicked him off, sending him flying she jumped up and kicked him the face and Piper tried to run over and attack Natalia. Natalia saw her coming and immediately elbowed Piper in the stomach and Piper fell to the ground clutching her stomach in pain. Thomas was extremely mad now. He ran towards Natalia and lunged at her and managed to pin her down again. He constantly punched her in the face and finally slapped her and said, "Go back to Russia and never return!"
He got off of her and ran over to Piper to try to help her. Natalia then pulled out her gun and aimed it at him. She fired it and Thomas saw it coming towards them. He pushed himself and Piper out of the way and the bullet ended up striking the main controls and radio instead and sparks began to fly out of it. the sparks went up the walls of the helicopter and the roof above them began to crumble. Meanwhile the others were helping Mordecai, Rigby, and Ryan fight Trevor.
"Trevor! Stop this now or you're FIRED!" Benson yelled, "Oh, but it is you will who vill be fired!" Trevor laughed Maniacally,
"Trevor, you menace!" Julie yelled running towards him, Trevor grabbed her, picked her up, and threw her across the helicopter. She landed in a pile of boxes. "Julie!" Ryan yelled, He ran over to her and the guys cringed when Ryan helped her up and her leg made a breaking sound.
Suddenly, they heard a crumbling sound. Trevor looked up to see the roof of the helicopter completely falling apart.
"Huh?" Trevor said confused, The entire roof then completely broke apart and gave in and the guys all jumped out of the way as a very large piece fell on Trevor.
Natalia then got in the head with a falling piece and stumbled off of the helicopter and plummeted into the water below them.
A piece of helicopter fell towards Piper when Thomas ran towards her.
"Piper! Look out!" Thomas yelled, He pushed her out of the way and the large piece of the ceiling fell on Thomas and Piper was in shock.
"THOMAS!" Piper yelled, She ran over and struggled to lift the very large piece of the roof off of him. "No no no no no!" she yelled, She pulled the lage piece of helicopter off of Thomas. She grasped hold of him thinking about what he had just done when her thoughts were broken by someone yelling at her. "Piper!" the voice yelled, She looked to where the voice was coming from, she saw it was Mordecai.
She looked at him. His left wing was completely busted up but was holding a bunch of parachutes. "We gotta jump! This thing's gonna blow!" he yelled,
Piper ran over and dragged Thomas over and took a parachute for both of them. Everyone else grabbed a parachute and fastened them on.
"Thomas do you think you're strong enough to stand?" Mordecai asked, "I think so." Thomas responded, They all started jumping out of the helicopter and Ryan was holding Julie who broke her leg during the fight. Thomas and Piper were the last to jump. The two looked at each other, Thomas took Piper's hand and she smiled. The two then jumped. Piper yelled, "Quick! Pull the cord on your parachute!" Thomas gave a nod and pulled the cord on his parachute and Piper did the same.
Piper suddenly felt the cold water of the Pacific ocean and the feathers on the back of her neck immediately stood up. The two landed in the ocean and since he was badly hurt, Thomas could barely keep himself above the surface of the water. Piper looked around for the others then she saw Mordecai holding Rigby for he had a broken right foot. Everyone gathered so they wouldn't get separated.
"Is everybody okay?!" Mordecai yelled, "Is everyone here?!"
"Yes but Thomas is badly hurt!" Piper yelled, "We gotta find land and get help!"
Suddenly, a fishing boat appeared in the distance. The boat stopped in front of the gang and the captain of the boat looked overboard and saw the group completely beaten up and soaked looking up at him. He was wearing a long yellow raincoat with jeans and black shoes underneath and yellow fisherman's hat. He had a long, brown beard and he was holding a lantern and he wasn't surprised with what he was seeing.
"You folks need a little help?" He asked slightly annoyed, "Yes!" said Benson, The man lowered down a rope and Mordecai was the first to grab it and pull himself and Rigby up onto the boat. Skips was the next one to go, Then Pops, Followed by Benson. "Thank you so much!" said Benson as the fisherman pulled him up. Muscle Man wasn't too badly injured so he managed to climb the rope quicker than everyone else and High Five Ghost just floated up onto the boat.
Ryan still carrying Julie, who was now sleeping in his arms, were the next two to go. Thomas and Piper were last yet again. Piper let Thomas go first then climbed up the rope last. Once they were all on the boat, the captain went back to the top where he steered the boat. "Where shall I drop you guys off?" The captain asked,
"Two Peaks Port…" Benson answered, "Ok then." The captain said as they made their way to "Two Peaks Port."
"I can't believe that Trevor betrayed us like that…" Mordecai said sadly, "Yeah, and he was super cool too." Rigby continued, "I'm never drinking another slushie again!" Piper said, "Hey, at least we're all still here together." Ryan said, "That's all that matters."
Everyone nodded as the boat continued to make its way to the port.
When they finally docked they thanked the guy and took off. They all limped towards the hospital where they told them that they just needed a doctor. When the receptionist asked them how they all got beaten up, they created a fake story saying they were all in a car accident. They were taken to a room and were seated while Thomas, Mordecai, Rigby and Julie were all taken to "Emergency care."
While the others were waiting, Margaret came in bursting through the door to the room with all of the other girlfriends following.
"Mordecai!" Margaret yelled, "Where's Mordecai?!" "He's in the 'Emergency Care.'" Piper explained, "We should get the results soon."
"What happened?" asked Eileen, "Trevor…" Ryan said, "It turns out he was a Russian spy too and that he and Natalia were both out to get revenge on Thomas."
"But what would Trevor have against Thomas? They never knew each other before he started working with you." Margaret said,
"It's because the Russians sent him to get revenge." Benson said,
"Benson!" Cried Audrey, The young blonde female ran over and hugged the gumball machine. "I'm so sorry I left you!" she cried into his shoulder, "I promise to never leave you again!" She continued to hug him tighter.
The doctor came in. He was a middle aged looking guy with slick styled gray hair and he a bag under each eye.
"Park family?" he said, "Yes?" Margaret said immediately standing up from the chair she was sitting in,
"It appears that Mordecai has a broken left wing and Rigby has a broken right foot. Nothing too serious…" The doctor smiled,
Everyone was cheering happily except for Piper. "But what about Thomas?" Piper asked, The doctor's smile immediately turned into a frown.
"I'm afraid Thomas is in a more 'Critical Condition.'" The doctor said, "What are you saying?" Piper asked,
The doctor sighed, "Thomas has a few broken ribs. So his operation should take a little more time than the other two." he explained, "Oh…" Piper said a little relieved that he wasn't too badly hurt yet sad that he was hurt worse than the other two.
"Mordecai and Rigby should be out of surgery in...about three hours." The doctor said looking at his clipboard.
After three hours, The doctor came back in telling them that Mordecai and Rigby wanted to see all of them. The gang walked into the room where the two laid in two separate beds with a wooden nightstand dividing them.
"Mordecai!" Margaret cried, Mordecai immediately opened his eyes and sat up, "Margaret." he said weakly,
She ran over to his bedside, "How are you feeling?" she asked,
"Well, My arm hurts and the rest of my body feels like crap, but other than that, I'm fine." he said, Rigby immediately groaned and woke up. "Rigby!" Eileen yelled, she ran over to Rigby's bed and she took his hand in hers, "Are you okay?" she asked,
"Yeah, I'm fine." Rigby replied weakly,
They all talked and were waiting for Thomas to come out of his surgery. While they were talking, Mordecai spoke up.
"Margaret, this whole experience made me realize that life's too short...I want you to be the first thing I see when I wake up in the morning and the last thing I see when I fall asleep at night and I couldn't picture myself spending the rest of my life with anyone but you."
He got out of bed weakly and got down on one knee. "Margaret…" he took her hand in both of his, "Will you marry me?"
The room fell silent, They didn't know if he was really saying this stuff, or if it just was the anesthesia from the surgery.
"Are you serious or is this just the anesthesia?" Margaret asked, "This is really me talking." Mordecai smiled,
"Then Yes!" Margaret replied her eyes streaming tears. Mordecai stood up and the two hugged.
"Margaret, You're crushing my bad arm!" Mordecai groaned, "Oops! Sorry!" Margaret apologized, "It's alright." Mordecai smiled,
Just then, the doctor came into the room. "Good news! Thomas' operation was a complete success!" he said happily, Piper put her left hand to her chest and let out a sigh. "And I assume he would like to see you all…" The doctor continued, "Come with me."
They followed him down the hall to Thomas' room where the doctor opened the door and Thomas was laying in his hospital bed sleeping.
The group crept in, "It'd be best not to wake him." The doctor said closing the door. The group walked over to his bed and Piper brushed her hand through his hair. She thought long and hard about what had happened and how he risked his life to save hers. Tears began to fill up her eyes. She wiped her left eye as Benson came over and put his hand on her shoulder and guided her over to where the others were sitting.
Thomas' POV
Picture this…you have been badly beaten up by two agents from a foreign country that were sent to kill you because you committed treason…Well, that happened to me a few hours ago and I was in a hospital, fresh out of surgery and I felt like crap! I mean, I know surgery isn't supposed to be pleasant but this was just ridiculous!
I woke up in this hospital room and my body ached and my head was pounding like a drum. It all suddenly came back to me...I remembered what Trevor and Natalia did and I was concerned about where my friends had gone to. Luckily for me, I looked around and I saw them in the room with me. I was so relieved to see them alive. Noticing I was awake, they all just came over to me and asked me how I was feeling. I told them, Other than the fact that a few of my ribs were busted a few hours ago and that my favorite hoodie smells like ocean, I was doing alright. Piper thanked me for saving her life and I told her it was no big deal, but she told me it was a big deal. Because I almost got killed saving her life. I then told her, I saved her life, but when the helicopter was falling apart, she saved my life because she didn't just leave me to die, she took me with her. So I guess it was a life for a life.
Ryan left the room because Julie was out of surgery just when I was and he really wanted to see her which was understandable. Piper told me that she was so relieved that I was alive, then the doctor came into the room and asked me if I could walk. I stood and up and proved I could and he said he would check us out and we could go home. Because we told them that bogus 'car accident' story, they told us to drive safer next time but we just ignored it.
We were all in Celia's (High Five Ghost's girlfriend's) car and I was just staring out the window and we were silent. Celia was driving and Margaret was in the shotgun seat. Mordecai, Rigby, Ryan and Julie sat behind them. Pops, Skips, Eileen, and High Five Ghost were behind those four. Starla drove Muscle Man home and Audrey took Benson home, and me and Piper were in the back. I was thinking about our fiasco, and how we all almost lost each other.
Today we felt betrayal, love, heroism, courage, fear, and pain. Lots and lots of unbearable, excruciating pain. But you get my point. I looked away from the window and I saw Piper sleeping in her seat, her head leaning against the window. For once in my life, I was afraid for her. She almost died today and it was all my fault! I took her hand and held it tight because of my fear and overprotective personality. I looked at the others, Ryan was cuddling Julie who was sleeping like Piper in his lap, Mordecai and Rigby were just sitting there quietly looking ahead, Pops was twiddling his fingers and staring down at the car floor, Skips just didn't say anything, Eileen just kept her eyes on Rigby, and High Five Ghost just stared at Celia in the driver's seat.
The car continued to roll through the night and we drove up to my dorm. I shook Piper to wake her up so I could say goodnight to her and she noticed I was holding her hand and she smiled, I love that smile.
I climbed out of the car and thanked Celia for the lift. She gave me a smile and a nod and she was off. I walked into my dorm and now I'm in my bed hoping I can fall asleep.
The car continued to drive and before the others knew it they were at the park. Piper and Ryan were both tired as heck! they did NOT feel like getting out of that car.
"Thanks for the lift, Celia!" High Five Ghost said waving goodbye energetically, She nodded and drove off leaving the park members behind. Skips walked back to his house and Pops walked into the park house and High Five Ghost went to Muscle Man's trailer. Mordecai, Rigby, Piper, Ryan, and Julie were left out there alone.
"Well..I guess we should hit the hay." Mordecai said, "Yeah." Piper responded, "I guess we'll see you tomorrow? "Piper said awkwardly, "Y-Yeah…" Mordecai said, "See you tomorrow." he waved as he and Rigby went into the house,
"See you tomorrow." Piper said as she and Ryan waved back, Ryan then turned to Piper, "Want me to take you home?" "I just gotta drop off Julie at her parents' place before I drop you off." he said,
"Alright." Piper smiled, and the three climbed into Ryan's truck and he shifted the gear into reverse.
(Sigh) It's done...The gang made it out alive, Trevor is dead, Natalia is dead, Mordecai and Margaret are engaged, and Thomas is alive.
Piper: Yay!
Anywho, They made it out alive and what are they gonna do next? Well...The next chapter is kinda the end so the story will pretty much be over...
