"One, two, three, four, five, once I caught a fish alive..." Kagome half whispered and half sang under her breath as Seigaku got all their ducks in a row. "Six, seven, eight, nine, ten...then I let it go again..." She smirked when the teams were called to line up, and let Marui pull her towards the court where they all stood in a line.

"We will now start the Kantou Regional finals between Rikkaidai Fuzoku and Seishun Gakuen."

Standing between Marui and Niou, she stared directly ahead and noted the lineup. The very two boys who'd kept her waiting...stood right across from her and Marui. "Of course..."

"COME ON, RYOMA! WIN THIS AND YOU'RE THE CHAMPION! CHAMPION RYOMA-SAMA!"

Kagome and the rest of Rikkaidai's Regulars all gave a small side glance at the yelling girl behind the fence, a fan of Ryoma's, obviously, but she was entirely too loud. Kagome couldn't help but think that there should be rules in place for the teams playing, they shouldn't be allowed to watch if they were going to make such a racket...no pun intended. Though...their cheer squad wasn't any quieter.

"ALWAYS WIN, RIKKAIDAI!"

"LET'S GO, LET'S GO, RIKKAIDAI!"

"GIVE THEM ONE!"

"I don't understand why they need to be so loud...tennis isn't a loud sport, there is absolutely no need for cheerleaders here." Kagome muttered.

"Hai...it's only the finals...they're too loud." Marui said, agreeing completely with Kagome.

"Will the captains come up?"

Kagome watched Sanada walk up, the nervous voice of Seigaku's tennis captain had Kagome batting Niou upside the head when he snickered under his breath.

"Let's have a good game," Sanada held his hand out respectfully, though Kagome wasn't so sure he respected the other team captain...it was all for show. It kept the ref happy, and the teams in high spirits.

"Yeah...uh, let's have a good game, thank you for playing us..."

Kagome raised a brow but continued to watch out of curiosity just what the vice-captain of Seigaku would do or say next. She wasn't disappointed.

"We came here to win!"

"Ah...?" Kagome tilted her head, "ballsy isn't he."

"We, Seigaku, will beat you and win the championship!"

Marui paused mid bubble, not completely grasping what he'd said. Even Niou and Yagyu were stunned.

"Oh?"

Kagome laughed, she couldn't stop as he made his way back to his team. Not sure what was said, but her favorite bouncing Neko motioned towards her and their captain turned in her direction. She couldn't help it, holding two fingers up in a V for victory sign, she winked before heading off the courts with the rest of her team, though...not before catching a blush on the captains cheeks.

"We're up first, Marui!"

"..." Marui was chewing on a piece of gum as he stared at the duo they'd be playing. Turning around, he sat down next to his bag and pulled out a slice of strawberry shortcake.

Kagome watched humorously as he did so. Walking over to her own bag, she pulled out her racquet when someone caught her eye. Smiling, she walked past the rest of her team, Sanada's eyes following her as she made her way to the one and only Keigo Atobe. "What are you doing here?"

"Thought I'd come watch the match, see what I have to look forward to in the future." Keigo smirked, "also, I brought something...for good luck..." He held his hand out to her.

Kagome looked down and stared in surprise at the prayer beads lying safely within his hands. "All this time,"

"Of course. Now take them...and crush Seigaku..."

"...of course..."

"Kagome!"

Kagome finished placing the prayer beads around her racquet like she had so long ago, and returned to Marui's side, but not without sharing one more look with Keigo who took a seat on the bleachers higher up so that he could watch the match better.

Kagome stepped up to Sanada with Marui and they both waited patiently for his instructions.

"Kagome, it's your first time as a doubles, yes?"

"...yeah."

"Then I will leave everything to you and Bunta, you've both been training religiously, so I will assume that you both know what you're doing...win..."

Kagome and Marui nodded, "Hai!" Walking out onto the court, they stood out in front of Momoshiro and Kaidou. Kagome was still hiding her face for the most part, though now, her hair was pulled through the hat in the back to keep it out of her way.

"This is a good chance for you guys to catch my genius-like moves." Marui bragged, though Kagome couldn't fault him. He was a genius. He had taught her some exciting things as well.

"Excuse me, but I'm going to have to ask the two of you something..."

Kagome looked over her shoulder, and Marui followed suite.

"...remove the wrist weights."

Kagome smirked, "you want us to take them off?"

"Make us." Marui stared at the two, blowing a bubble with his gum as he stared the two down.

Kagome took the baseline, Marui was in the service box, and the game began. With Momoshiro serving on the first match set. She could practically dance in the energy burning around them, sweltering on the court, she smiled cheerfully as Momoshiro served, the ball was hit hard across the court, the speed at which was impressive, but Kagome wasn't impressed. She moved forward and returned the ball with a forehand volley, driving her racquet at a sharp angle at the last minute, she watched it arch much like a moonvolley and was happy to see Momoshiro run forward to intercept it. Mid swing...the ball disappeared.

"Rikkaidai, Fifteen-Love."

"What was that!? The ball disappeared!"

Kagome smiled, "No, it didn't. Your eyes must be playing tricks on you. It's right there." Kagome pointed and Momoshiro followed her finger to the bright yellow ball that was languidly laying on the court. "Now, let's play."

He scoffed, "lucky shot, it won't happen again."

Kagome grinned, "...of course not."

Marui tapped her racquet with his and she smiled at the gesture, trading places, she let him play detective for the rest of the game. Giving free points to Momoshiro and Kaidou who were seriously thinking that she'd just gotten lucky. Which...she was okay with...but really, that wasn't going to last long.
