Summary
Brittany Pierce and Santana Lopez were finally a couple and not afraid to be open at McKinley High. Everybody knew they had something going on with them and didn't care because they knew that Santana would kick their asses for messing with her girlfriend.
But what happens when Brittany's old childhood best friend/first ever girlfriend, Rachel Berry moves back to Lima after being in California for so long, shows up Brittany's and her Senior year all grown up and not the same girl she was when she was younger,sparking up feelings that Brittany struggled to long forget while also putting a strain on her relationship with Santana Lopez?
Will Brittany and Rachel start their friendship over as just best friends or will they finally admit that they still want each other? Find out what happens.
Season 4 Rachel Berry clothes and hair style in this story. Minor Brittana relationship but Brittberry romance in the end and Quinn and Raevyn romance on the side. I'm making Dani part of this story. She'll be a Senior like the rest of them and apart of the cheerios.

Shelby and Naomi walked into the house with Rachel, Brittany, Raevyn and Quinn behind them with their bags with them. checking out the house.
Naomi's parents Stephanie and Edwin greeted their daughter and daughter in law.
"Hey ladies. Is Rachel and her friends here?" Stephanie asked hopefully. When she found of that Shelby had a daughter. She was all for getting to know her and got the rooms ready for her and her friends. She was overjoyed when she got the news that Shelby and Naomi were bringing Rachel and her friends for the break.
"Yes she's right behind us mom but don't get too overjoyed and scare her." Naomi tells her. Shelby nods agreeing with her wife.
"When do I ever get too overjoyed about stuff?" They both give her a look.
"Fine I'll cool it but this is kind of like my granddaughter now and you really can't blame me for wanting to see her for the first time. Don't spoil my moment."
Shelby shakes her head with a smile then turns around staring at the girls who are still checking out the house.
"Girls I know the house looks great but I want you to meet Naomi's parents Stephanie and Edwin Stewart. Guys this is my daughter Rachel Berry and her girlfriend Brittany Pierce, Rachel's best friend Raevyn Turner and Brittany's best friend Quinn Fabray, Did I say your last name right Quinn?" Shelby asked her.
"Yes you did Mrs. Corcoran-Stewart." Quinn tells her politely.
"Come here Rachel, I want to take a good look at you." Stephanie says wanting to really see her. Rachel lets go of Brittany's hand slowly walked over to Naomi's mom. She glanced at Shelby who smiles at her then she turns back to them.
Stephanie moved closer to Rachel grabbing ahold of her hands and stared at her face. Rachel looked just like her mother. She had a feeling that Rachel had Shelby's singing voice. She looked like she was a singer and a dancer. She was beautiful.
"You are so beautiful Rachel. I'm going to make sure your comfortable around me. I can't wait to get to know you more." Rachel nodded.
"Thanks for inviting me and my friends to stay with you guys. I kind of needed to get out of Lima Ohio for awhile." She just smiles at her.
"No problem dear. How about we show your rooms then we can all get to know each other more. You can call me Nana." Rachel smiles nicely saying okay.
"Come on girls let's get you into your rooms. Then we'll talk more." Rachel glances at Shelby who smiles back at her.
"Well come on. Your rooms are right upstairs." Brittany walks up to her girlfriend and grabbed her hand. Rachel smiles lovingly.
Shelby stares at her daughter and her girlfriend Brittany. She was seeing true love right now between the two.
"Girls are you joining us or are you just going to stand here staring into each others eyes?" Naomi asked them. Rachel and Brittany blushed and they let go of each others hand, grabbing their bags and walked upstairs with the others. Shelby just smiled to herself.

Rachel was looking around the room she was staying in for break. She was unpacking her stuff when there was knock on her door. She stared at the door then walks to it and opens it to see Shelby standing there giving her a comforting smile.
"Hey Rachel did you finish unpacking yet?" Shelby asked.
"Not yet. I was just looking around this beautiful room. Thanks for letting me stay with you." Shelby moves closer to her and opened her arms.
Rachel just falls into her with a smile. Her mother smelled nice. She always wondered what her mother looked like and now she's holding onto her at this moment.
This was a dream come true for her.
"You alright Rachel?" She couldn't say anything because she wasn't okay. Her dads kept her from her mother.
"I can't belive they kept me from you. It's not fair. I could have gotten to know this side of my family a long time ago and my dads kept you from me. It's not fair because I'm a Senior in high school. I've missed so much, thanks to my dads. They had no right to do that to me and you. I hate them." Shelby held her daughter close.
"I know your angry with them sweetie but you know that you don't hate them. They are your dads and they love you very but your right what they did was wrong."
Rachel pulls back staring up at her mom. Shelby was really beautiful. She wanted to know everything about her.
"You want to sit and get to know each other?" Rachel nods sitting on the bed. Shelby joins her.
"So tell me about how you and Brittany met?" Rachel smiles just thinking about her girlfriend/best friend.
"We've been best friends since 3 years old. We became a couple at 11 then I moved away when I was 14 and our relationship was put on hold."
"So how did you two get back together?" She didn't want to tell her mom about how her relationship with Brittany started up again.
"We rekindled our friendship on the second day of Senior year and now were back together. I rather not get into full detils of how we got back together. I don't want anybody else. I really love her." Shelby was glad her daughter had somebody special in her life.
"Brittany's very pretty. You two seem like you would be really happy together. She treats you right?" Rachel nods.
"Yes she treats me really good. Enough about my relationship with Brittany. Tell me about your relationship with Naomi. I would have never thought that my birth mother was a lady lover. Have you always been this way?" Shelby grins shaking her head.
"I wasn't as you a say a lady lover. I did have boyfriends in high school. Naomi and I actually grew up together. She was my best friend in high school."
"When did you two together, how did you realize that you liked woman? Was Naomi your first girlfriend?" Shelby stared at Rachel and grabbed ahold of her hand.
"Naomi wasn't my first girlfriend. I actually dated a woman named Cassandra July. We dated for two years then your dads put an add in the paper asking for a surrogate and I jumped on board. Cassie was against it. She wanted me to keep you."
"Why didn't you keep me. Didn't you want me?" Shelby placed her hand on Rachel's cheek
"Of course I wanted you. You were my little girl that I had in my stomach for 9 months. You got my singing voice and my love for Broadway." Rachel smiles. She loved Broadway. Fanny Brice is her dream role. She starred in the school musical as Maria in West Side Story. Her whole life was devoted to Broadway, her family and of course her girlfriend.
"I couldn't take you away from your fathers. You were two days old when I finally handed you over to them. It was very hard for me but I knew that it was the right thing to do." Rachel closed her eyes when Shelby kissed her forehead.
"They were looking forward to being parents and I was still very young at the time. Things just weren't right at the time to have you around." Rachel just listened to her.
"Cassie and I broke up due to fighting, she also hated that I gave you to Hiram and Leroy. She also had something against Naomi. I was also starting my career on Broadway and an actress on the big screen years after that."
"Did you try to contract me after I got older?" Shelby nods.
"All the time. I called plenty of times but they just told me that you were in dance class or singing lessions. They kept me away from you. So I got a court date set up and they never showed up. They called me saying that they just weren't ready yet. I understood it at first but years grew by, phone calls were made and they would cancel everytime saying that it's not the right time." Rachel shook her head. Her dads had no right to do that to her mom.
"What happened after that?"
"I took them to court and this time they showed up. We brought up the contract that was made before you were born. They broke it again when you were 16 because I was supposed to get you for your birthday, christmas and years and the whole summer. They ignored my phone calls once again which was the last straw."
Rachel nods agreeing with her.
"They couldn't get out of this time. Your 18 now and I have a right to see you before you go off to college. I need as much time with you." Rachel smiles.
"I'm planning on going to NYADA." Shelby was impressed. NYADA was a very prestiges performing arts college. You need to have alot of talent to go there.
"Impressive. I'll write a letter of recommendation for you." She stares at her surprised.
"You would actually do that?" Shelby smiles.
"Of course Rachel. Your my daughter and you belong in a college like that. You have to deal with Cassie though. She's the mean dance teacher." She frowns.
"Great." She says sarcastically.
"Don't worry Rach. Is Brittany thinking about going to the same college?" Rachel shook her head no. Her girlfriend was always about dancing.
"She has her mind set on Julliard. Dancing is her live and she's perfect for that school." Shelby knew people there aswell.
"I can write her one too. I have few friends there." There was a knock on the door.
"Who is it?" Shelby called the person in the hallway.
"It's me Naomi. I'm just letting you know we're all in the living room." Rachel liked Naomi already. She seems so nice.
"Alright hon. We'll be right down." Naomi says okay then leaves.
"You ready to go downstairs and get to know your grandparents?" They both get up.
"Thanks for coming into my life." Shelby smiles at her daughter.
"No thanks for coming back into my life. This is supposed to happen. We have all break to get to know each other." Rachel's phone starts ringing.
"You going to answer it?" She shook her head no.
"It's my Daddy." Shelby gave her look.
"I know but I'm just not ready to talk to them. I'll call them before I go to bed." Shelby says okay pulling her out of the room.
"You can unpack later." They go downstairs and sit down with the others.
Brittany smiles brightly seeing her girlfriend. Rachel cuddles right into her and they shared a quick peck on the lips. Shelby sits down next to her wife.
"Alright let's get to know each other." Naomi's mom says clapping her hands.
