"Guys! Natsu is sending me to my death! Help me!"
I said keep calm! Anyway let's get this ending started shall we?
Ch 38: Assault
Chaos ensued across all of Fiore as more wizards had to be sent everywhere to counter the almost literal invasion of unknown and unrecorded monsters. Magnolia was almost completely empty as well due to the king ordering a mass evacuation to the capital only hours ago, a plan that he and master Makarov had created should such a thing happen, there would be less collateral damage and possibly less lives lost that way.
Connor and Natsu entered the guild where the rest of team Natsu had been waiting for them so that they could set off as a team, Erza's idea. They all smiled upon seeing Connor finally back with them. Lucy gave him a small hug, Gray, a good pat on the back, Wendy a happy smile and a hug that only reached his waist, and Erza, an approving nod with a warm smile.
"Thanks guys, so Natsu tells me that there might be something going on with my brother?" Connor asked although the question was aimed more specifically at Erza.
Erza nodded with a deeply concerned look in her eyes "We believe all these monsters attacking Fiore at the moment are being controlled by Alistair and the horse… your friends" She said.
Connor looked over at Lucy "you told them?" he asked and she replied with a smile and a shrug. He sighed and pulled his hood on to hide his face from them "I'm sorry for not telling you guys earlier. I just didn't expect it to happen like this"
Gray shook his head and just smiled at him "It was private, you were going to tell when you were ready"
"Lucy just thought it would be a good idea to tell us because it would help us understand the situation a little better" Wendy added in defense of Lucy's decision to share some very private information.
Connor sighed a shaky sigh as a small tear trailed down his cheek "I need to save them guys, I'm not going to lose them again. I can't go through something like that again" He said as he formed a shaky fist. A small and almost unnoticeable wisp of blue and black energy appeared around his fist then faded as quick as it came.
"we'll get them back somehow Connor just remember we're here to help you no matter what" Erza said with a reassuring smile in his direction "but first we need to handle the situation at hand and launch a counterattack against your brother" She said, going quickly from reassuring to strategic in a flash.
Connor nodded in agreement "I'm very ready to do this. It's time he got what's coming to him" He said with a very pissed off and determined look on his face.
"so how are we gonna do that exactly?" Lucy asked "we don't even know where he is"
"I know where he's going" Connor said "you all saw what he was after. He wants me to snap, attack him with all I've got so how can he do that?"
"He would attack something you care about" Lucy concluded "so he would attack.. here.. when all the other wizards are off fighting his monsters"
"very perceptive of you" another voice said from the guild hall entrance. They all faced the voice and found themselves drawn into the piercing blue eyes of Alistair Coccino. "Now" Alistair began as he raised up a hand that held a large ball of swirling black and blue energy "bow before the prince of dragons and before your new god" he said with a sickening laugh. He tossed the ball in their direction and as it made contact a large explosion engulfed them as he laughed maniacally.

Where the Fairy Tail guild once stood was now only a crater at the edge of Magnolia. No sign of the once proud fortress of a guild hall was in sight nor could anyone tell if there was ever anything there at all. The only thing that remained was the maniacal Alistair and Team Natsu.
Erza stood in her adamantine armor, panting heavily as her armor began to crack and shatter from the force of such an explosion. She had managed to re-quip and cover the others with her shield before the blast. She fell to her knees with a groan and re-quipped back into her normal armor, she refused to go down so easily.
Alistair looked amused as a sly smile graced his face "Well Titania, it seems you're tougher than I had first imagined" He said
Wendy was already at Erza's side as soon as her knees hit the floor "Erza are you okay?" she asked with a strong tone of worry lacing her voice.
"I'll be fine Wendy, save your strength for later" Erza replied as she got back up and readied her sword.
Connor felt himself shake as he stared his older brother down. A mix of both fear and anger coursed through his veins yet anger seemed to be the overwhelming emotion as he managed to draw his blade and point it at Alistair. The others got into a ready stance as well.
Natsu was overflowing with rage and his fists burst into an intense blaze of anger "You destroyed our home, now we're gonna bring you down!" He proclaimed.
"Is that so? I think my little friends would say otherwise" Alistair said. Four figures began to approach from behind him, all of them cloaked in black hooded robes. Three of them did not wear their hoods. Luna, Kai, and Aura stood before them. Luna was angered as was Kai, but Aura seemed lost and out of sorts. This only served to piss Connor off further
"Now now little brother. Hold in that anger. You don't want more blood on your hands do you? Especially their blood.." Alistair taunted his brother with a low chuckle as he gestured the horsemen beside him. "It would be a shame if you got them killed a second time wouldn't it? In fact they've all still got their scars." He said. He approached Aura and pulled down the cloth that hid her neck. A deep scar was left there. Upon seeing the scar Connor began to shake with rage and he felt the darkness slowly bubble up to the surface.
"Oh that's right. You never saw her die. Slit her neck and she choked on her own blood. A sad fate really but at least she smiled thinking she saved you all. Oh how disappointed she would be if she was conscious." Alistair taunted him. He walked up to Kai and slowly ripped a bit of his robe then pointed at the various scars from the arrows that pierced his body all those years ago. "This must have hurt.. Ouch.. a lot of them here.. and he felt every single one! I shudder to think of it."
He got excited as he approached Luna and tore apart her robes to show her stomach. There was a large scar across her stomach. "This one is my favorite. And the best part," He pointed to the sword on Connor's back. "That! That is what killed her! The very thing you protected her with is the weapon that got her killed! How truly ironic don't you think?" he taunted his younger brother and chuckled when he saw how Connor shook with rage,
"Shut up and leave him alone!" Natsu shouted as he ignited his fists in rage. "Insult my cousin again and see what happens to that face of yours!"
"Oh? What was that little Salamander? A threat?" Alistair asked as he slowly stalked towards the pink haired young man. "Because.. Last I checked. You were just a lowly lizard and I was the dragon." He muttered as he rushed the boy faster than the eye could see only to be blocked by Connor's blade.
"Don't you dare.. Touch my family.. " Connor growled as he met his brother's light blue eyes. His own blood red eyes burned with rage and hatred. "Or I swear I will burn you to ashes…" He threatened.
Alistair donned a manic grin as he laughed heartily. "I can't wait to tear it all from you again little brother.."

I know it has been a very, very long time but I am back. I said I would finish this and honestly I need this in my life right now. I miss writing and I miss doing it for a purpose. SO I am back and with the conclusion of crimson dragon coming very soon.
