Chapter 34
Route 103
The tall red head was shaking uncontrollably, she was uncomfortable with this situation but couldn't do anything about it. Her Walrein on the other hand was becoming irritated with her indecision.
Mira took her opportunity, "Treecko stay back and use bullet seed." The small reptilian pokemon reared back and started to blast the overtly larger pokemon all over its body. But with no noticeable effect.
The Walrein on the other hand took this as a chance to charge, even without its trainers orders. "REIN!" The top of its head became coated in a metallic sheen and was sliding right toward Treecko.
"Shit, that's iron head, dodge with arial ace," Treecko ran right at Walrein and with increased speed leaped over its charging body, "Carve him up with iron tail." This time his tail became metal, and he spun like a wheel down the entirety of Walrein's back, dealing a significant amount of damage.
The girl cringed a bit, "No, Walrein protect yourself with surf." Walrein spun around and shot out a wave of water at the little grass pokemon.
"Thunder punch!" Treecko's little fist began to crackle with electricity, and when the wave was upon him he struck its center, the jolt shot through it and took a lot of the power out of it.
"You cant beat him," The girl squeaked, "He is a lot stronger then you think."
"And that's the problem I'm having, the last pokemon you used was not nearly this strong. You are afraid of Walrein, its like it doesn't care for you, let alone know you." Miracle stated.
The girl cringed again, as Walrein screamed in anger, "Mira, I don't think that's her pokemon." Saki said quietly.
Mira took that and stared the girl down, "Damn, Archie! Its Archie's Walrein."
"That cant be good," Ariel said, "He is going to be really strong, you should probably use Scizor or Hitmonlee."
"Treecko is due for a big win." Mira replied, "I'm thinking its time to cash in. Treecko time to let it all go." The little gecko looked back to its trainer, smiled, and let all the tension in its body go. Then his body became encased in the light of evolution.
"He was holding back evolving!?" Ariel yelled.
"When pokemon grow, they tend to lose some attributes," Saki told her, "But by holding out, Treecko allowed himself to keep more of his speed."
"Grovyle!"
"That's what I thought," Mira quickly scanned her evolved pokemon, and smiled. "Time to show this tub of lard how its done, time to use energy ball." Grovyle had a glint in his eye, he began to collect energy in his hands and then threw it like a baseball fight into Walrein's gullet. The large pokemon looked upset, but he was in major pain.
"Not good, not good," The red head cried out, "Walrein end this with sheer cold!"
The walrus pokemon nodded and began to collect and store huge amounts of energy, this turned the air around him bright blue.
"Grovyle, get iron tail ready, and listen for my command." Mira said. His tail turned metallic just as Walrein shot its attack off, everywhere it touched became encased in ice, frozen in place. "Spin around and throw dirt into the air." He dug his new tail deep into the ground and threw up large chunks of dirt this caused a large wall to form as the ice hit it, leaving Grovyle unharmed. "Now put him to sleep."
Grovyle leaped high into the air, using the ice wall for added height. His body became lost in the sun, and Walrein looked worried for the first time. Then his head was struck hard with iron tail, knocking him out.
"I'M in so much trouble," The red head stated, returning Walrein.
"Now tell us what you're doing here!" Saki asked.
"Are you the reason for the influx of unusual pokemon in the area?" Mira asked.
The girl looked forlorn, "They were my pokemon. I was forced to release them when Archie captured my dad and me. I told them to stay together, and not let anyone one of them out of their sights. I said that in hopes that one day I could retrieve them. I try to get here when I can, but its been months...I'm afraid some of them have been poached and the others are not in a great mood." Her body was beginning to shake, and her tears began to spill.
"Why were you told to release your pokemon?" Ariel asked.
"My pokemon are land based pokemon, Archie wants to flood the world." She says.
"Okay, first if I'm going to help I need to know your name?" Mira said.
"Nami."
"Okay Nami, we can help but this is going to be hard. Realize we are hoping to destroy Team Aqua someday, and that is the day you will hopefully retrieve your pokemon. If I capture them, I can have them left at Professor Oak's lab in Pallet Town. But this is going to cost you, you are now my mole in Team Aqua."
Nami looked a bit worried at first, but eventually accepted the offer, "I know the last time I was here there were five left, Donphan, Camerupt, Cradily, Kangaskhan and a Pangoro."
"Well, now is as good a time as any, this will allow the Loudred to get back into their cave." Ariel smiled.
"This cave is full of normal types, Ariel I think Honedge would love some time to shine," Saki told her.
"Oh I'm all over that," She smiled releasing her blade pokemon.
"Natu will join us as well," Saki added.
Mira returned Grovyle, and released Lopunny, "You lead the way, but you are not allowed to release any of your pokemon."
Nami nodded, and was pushed into the dark cave.
"Joltik light this place up," Ariel said. Her little bug shot out its electro webs all over the place, allowing the visibility to increase.
"This cave isn't too large, so they should be easy to find," Nami said.
"On the contrary my dear, this cave is so small that all you have to do is blink and you've seen it all." A voice chuckled.
"Not Archie again," Mira said. The red head was beginning to break down into tears.
"Yes its me," The man spoke, walking into the light, "Nami... Well I cant say I'm not surprised, although it didn't take you long to break. Oh I will be taking my Walrein back, seeing as you cant even win with it."
"What have you done with my pokemon," Nami demanded.
"Nothing really, they have been knocked around a bit," He pointed below his feet, only four pokemon were there, "I do believe a couple are missing though. Now if you want them to live, throw Walrein here...Now!"
Nami grabbed the ball and threw it over to the hulking man. "Sky uppercut." Mira yelled. Out of nowhere came Lopunny, landing a punch underneath Archie's jaw dropping him to his back, "Get your pokemon." She told Nami. She quickly pulled out poke-balls to capture her pokemon.
"Honedge keep him busy by using shadow sneak."
"Natu keep him pinned with psychic." The two pokemon flew in and kept Archie on the ground.
"Now its my turn," Mira shifted into her alternate form and walked over to the fallen Aqua leader, "Get out of here, I'm getting this man where it hurts." The girls took off quickly.
"Dont think so, Feraligatr, Gyarados, make this a game to remember." Archie smiled. Then two large pokemon appeared from the shadows and dwarfed the other pokemon.
"Damn, Lopunny grab Honedge and Natu." Mira yelled. The bunny pokemon grabbed Honedge's hilt and pulled Natu into her other arm. "They are not strong enough, get them out of here and get back quickly."
"I don't think so, Feraligatr destroy the exit with hydro cannon!"
The gator launched a burst of water pressure so powerful it instantly destroyed the exit, but Lopunny was clever enough to throw the two under leveled pokemon out of the cave, but allowing herself to continue the fight.
"Beautifly, come on out," Mira said, her butterfly pokemon appeared in a gust ready for battle.
"You are going to use those two pokemon against mine, cant you make this interesting for me," Archie laughed. But suddenly his face was attacked by something he couldn't see, "Not again."
"Okay, his face is attracting something," Mira said, She then ordered her pokemon to attack, "Lopunny use ice punch, Beautifly use Silverwind."
As they're attacks were landing, Archie finally pulled the offending thing from his face, revealing it to be a pokemon, Cada...nin...cada."
"What the hell?" He yelled, "A simple little Nincada." That pokemon stared him in the eyes, the proceeded to spew a purple liquid all over his face. "Oh gawd, I think I'm gonna hurl."
Archie tossed the small pokemon at Mira who caught him in mid flight, then she sat him back on the ground, "Ive noticed you before, you've been following us haven't you."
"Nin...cada!"
"Okay, lets see what you can do," Mira smiled. Nincada hopped into the fray, then its little wings began to wiggle and suddenly a sandstorm filled the cave, "Lopunny, Beautifly use the same attacks, but aim them into the sandstorm!"
An ice punch and silver wind were added to the sandstorm, the attack got so big, that the entire cave became engulfed, it even pulled up the electro webs Joltik had used earlier, adding even more to it.
Feraligatr, and Gyarados were caught up in it, unable to protect themselves from all the aspects it held, it didn't knock them out, but the damage it dealt was significant enough.
"Damnit, how do you keep doing this," Archie coughed, "My pokemon are so much stronger."
"Yeah, but you are dumber then snot," Mira said, grabbing him by the collar.
"Put me down freak, or the girls father gets a bullet in his head," Archie said. Mira growled at him, at let his collar go. "Now, since we are at an impasse, I have a proposition for you."Archie smiled.
"What makes you think I will deal with you?"
"Just hear me out Miracle. The girl...she can go free, but Maxie stays in my employ."
Mira stared deep into his eyes, "What else?"
"Good, now for this to be profitable to myself I need something from you. And that is quite easy."
"Just spit it out," Mira demanded.
"Simple, you take down that little organization in the white hoods."
"Thats all you want?"
"Yes it is, oh and preferably before Maxie runs out of usefulness." He smiled.
Mira punched the confident man in his throat, then slammed his head into the cave wall, "Fine, but if you kill Maxie, I kill you."
"Fair enough," He motioned his pokemon to follow him, and without a sound they disappeared.
"I cant believe I made a deal with him," She was not happy, "Okay you three, lets get out of here."
HOUR LATER
Saki, Nami, and Ariel were all worried, it had been a while since they heard anything. But it was all for not, as the caved in wall was finally pushed away, allowing Mira and the pokemon to escape.
"Where's Archie?," Nami asked.
"He left, but I struck a deal with him. Maxie is safe as long as I do Archie a favor," Mira said disgusted.
"Why would you do that without consulting us," Saki yelled.
"Because I was already going to destroy those idiots in the cloaks, so it made the deal moot."
"So I'm free to go?" Nami asked.
"Yeah, but I would watch your back. Archie seems like a very vindictive man." Nami began to cry yet again, "Okay, now its time to take care of everything else, the Loudred and Vigoroth, and then our meeting with Carson."
"Nincada!"
"Mira I think your friend is trying to get your attention," Ariel said.
"I know, but I've already caught him. So I think hes looking for introductions. Everybody this is Nincada, he has bee following us for quite some time now, and he will make a fine addition to the team." They all welcomed him, and left the cave behind. After a few hours the group finally made it back to Carson and his hidden hide away.
"Is everything good?" He asked.
The group was tired, dirty, and in a little pain. But Miracle couldn't shut off her bitchy meter, "IM never doing anything for you ever again, so you can take your little bases and shove them right up your."
"Miracle Delilah Ketchum!" Saki yelled.
"Never mind," Mira replied, "Im getting as far away from here as I possibly can."
