Author: Hello my dear readers! This is probably one of the longest chapters I've done for My Brother's a Ghost! The reason is because this was supposed to be two separate chapters, but one of them was too short, so I merged them together to make this long chapter. Plus, I didn't think you guys wanted to wait another week to see the brothers talking about Danny's ghost half.

Andy: Good! It's about time I get to talk to him!

Author: Heh... yeah... so anyway, I like to thank all those who had read this far and those who had bothered to review. I especially thank ApocryphalReality for his/her long and thoughtful reviews. Despite what you said, I actually DO like a long review as it lets me know what the readers themselves think of the story rather than just them telling me 'good story, update soon'. Honestly, I'm glad you guys think it's a good story, but I like a little more than just 'good story, update soon.' So yeah, don't be shy to give me a long review, the longer the better.

Andy: Alright, alright, let's get to the story already!

Author: Heh, for once you're excited huh? Okay, but first...

Andy: *Sigh* Fine! DarkFoxKit doesn't own Danny Phantom, just me, the rest belong to Nickelodeon and Butch Hartman. There! Now go on, read it!

Chapter 38: A New Team

Ugh… my head hurts… I slowly opened my eyes… only to see I was in a very creepy, disorientating place, the sky was completely green and all swirly. I sat up and saw I was on some kind of island, creepy and scary island… this looks like the Ghost Zone, but why am I here? I didn't die, did I?

"Ugh… where…?" I froze when I heard a familiar voice beside me and turned my head slowly to see it was indeed my brother, he was still in his human disguise. It was at the same time he took notice of me. "A-Andy!?"

I tried to crawl away from him, but then I noticed there was something on my wrist and looked down to see… there was a glowing white handcuff on it. Wait… WHAT!? Danny and I were handcuffed together!

"Greetings twin children! After seeing your little display, I decided it'll be fun to hunt you both, at the same time!" I gasped as Skulker spoke after appearing before us.

"Skulker!? You wanted me, didn't you? Why are you bringing my brother into this?" Danny demanded angrily and with such authority that he himself normally wouldn't have, I guess being a ghost superhero for five months can do that to a person.

Skulker didn't seem phased as he grinned, "Simple; your brother may only be human, but he looks like a lot of fun to hunt. Since I like to give my prey a sporting chance, I will give you two a ten second head start before I come after you."

Danny glared before he ran, dragging me with him. "Come on bro, we have to get away from here!"

I followed, but mostly because I didn't have a choice. "Why don't you just turn ghost and fight him like you always do?"

"I can't…" Danny frowned, looking at the glowing handcuff on our wrist. "I don't know what Skulker did with this thing, but I can't use any of my powers."

I would've asked him more questions, but that Skulker was coming after us, there will be time for questions later. Both of us had to keep running as Skulker began firing at us! He's firing ecto rays and missiles at us! Geez, overkill much? I suppose ghosts are used to this stuff, but we humans are pretty fragile!

"Wah!" I yelled as I tripped and fell, Danny stopped and frowned.

"Come on Andy, get up, he's right behind us!" Danny yelled as he took my arm and quickly helped me up. "Come on, we just have to find a way off the island!"

I yelped when a missile whizzed past me, that would've really hurt! Danny kept yelling, trying to keep me calm and keep me going. I panted as we ran up through the rocks and jumped, only to fall into the dirt… ow… then Danny ran over to the edge. I panted as I looked down, "... We're not going to jump are we?"

"We don't have a choice, but the Ghost Zone will let us float, come on!" before I could protest, Danny jumped, dragging me along with him! I should be more scared, but after coming on here riding on a ghost dragon, it kinda starts to wear thin.

I was glad the gravity of this place was almost non-existent, because landing on a floating rock kept us from going splat. Thankfully, it seems we managed to escape from Skulker for now, because he hasn't been attacking us since we landed, that just left me and my brother alone… and stranded since he apparently can't fly right now.

"So, now what?" I asked him.

Danny looked down, "... I guess all we can do now is wait…"

I didn't like that… it meant we could be stuck here until someone decided to rescue us. Danny picked up a rock and tried to crush the handcuff, but it didn't seem to work. Both of us sighed as I sat, facing away from him, now that we weren't in immediate danger, the awkwardness and guilt seeped back in.

I didn't know how long we sat there on that rock, it felt like hours or days… but time doesn't really seem to flow here the same as in our world, so I couldn't tell you how long it's been, it could've been only a few minutes, but it could've also been days and we didn't notice. Danny seems to be scratching on the rocky ground. Bored and annoyed with the scratching, I turned to see what he was doing, in fact I'm surprised he isn't trying to get me to talk to him since he was so insistent on doing it before Skulker got us into this mess.

I blinked when I saw he was drawing something on the ground with a sharper rock. I couldn't tell if he noticed I was looking at him or not, but he kept drawing… I saw he was drawing me and himself. I blinked before I rolled my eyes and turned away again. Still, Danny had a good idea to draw while we were waiting for whatever. I began drawing too with another sharp rock. I didn't know what I was drawing, but I guess I was just drawing us, along with Mom, Dad and Jazz, a family, how we used to be.

"... You know… we still need that talk." Danny spoke up softly.

I didn't say anything… I guess he was leaving me alone for me to think, but now is as good time as any to just let it all go. My brother sighed as he took a deep breath and said, "Andy… that accident didn't kill me, okay? I'm not dead or a full ghost. I know it sounds strange and impossible, but I guess maybe the ectoplasm from the portal fused with my DNA and… well… it turned me into a Halfa, which is half human and half ghost. I'm only half ghost, Andy."

I looked at him… Halfa? How could one be only half dead yet still be half alive? "... Are you… a zombie?" I asked him cautiously.

"What? No! No! I'm not a zombie, I'm not undead, I'm just half dead. I know, it's confusing, but it's the truth. I'm still half human, bro… I know, I should've told you this sooner, in fact I should've told you this back at the hospital when I found out about it." Danny said sadly. "I've noticed that we were growing apart and you were losing it slowly, all because I was too scared to tell you the truth. But I only did it because I didn't want you to know about… what I've become."

I slowly turned to him and he continued, "Mom and Dad hunt ghosts, and I wasn't sure what to think when I found out I was half ghost after the accident. I just thought that I couldn't let anyone know. Tucker and Sam told me I should tell you, they noticed you were acting strange too, but I was still too scared… I did try to tell you a few times, but situations either interrupted us and I couldn't build up the courage to tell you anymore, or you wouldn't want to hear it…"

"... Why didn't you fight back… when I tried to kill you?" I asked him quietly, almost not trusting my own voice. I'll bet that Danny would give anything to know what was going on in my head right now.

My brother bit his lip and answered, "I… I saw you were strained… what little sanity you had left was starting to snap and I knew it was my fault, especially after you told me that you knew I was a ghost, you just didn't know I was only HALF ghost, you thought I was actually dead. For those few moments when you told me, I understood why you were acting so strange, so isolated and so crazy; you were desperate, you'd do anything to save me. I know because I would've done the same thing if the situation was reversed. I just… couldn't bring myself to fight back, even if it meant the real death of me. But Andy… why didn't you finish me off?"

I frowned as I sighed, "I don't know… I guess when I saw you, I saw how scared you were… and I didn't see the ghost of my brother, I just saw my twin brother, my other soul, who was in danger and frighten, and it was because of me. I guess after I saw that… I realized what I was doing and I felt like a monster… like one of those cold hearted scientists who didn't care about the creatures they experimented on. Kinda like Mom and Dad if they ever caught a ghost… Heh… for generations the Fentons always caught and either destroyed or dissected their ghosts, and I'm the first who wouldn't do it."

Danny raised his eyebrow at that, "You wouldn't, huh?"

I sighed as I looked over at my brother's eyes for the first time since I almost killed him. "No… I guess I wouldn't… Danny, I've told my share of lies too. I was more than desperate to save you… Dash hasn't been as big of a bully anymore because I helped him… and we became friends." Danny's eyes widen at that, but he didn't interrupt me. "When I first discovered your secret, I was devastated, I thought you were dead…" I didn't tell him that Jazz knew too, that's up to her to decide to tell him she knows. "In fact… as days past, I became more and more desperate, in fact, I actually went into the Ghost Zone at one point and discovered a Time Ghost."

"A Time Ghost?" Danny blinked as I nodded.

"Yes, there's a ghost here that can control time itself. When I found out about this ghost, I became more and more determined to find it. I ended up having Dash and Valerie help me. Don't worry, I didn't tell them you were a ghost, I just told them you were dying because of the accident's radiation, which is pretty close to the truth. They agreed to help me and we traversed the Ghost Zone." Danny stayed quiet and interested as I told him about everything.

"That dragon ghost Dora is apparently friends with the Time Ghost, she helped me get to him." I decided that Danny doesn't need to be left out of the loop here. "His name is Clockwork, he can shift his age at will and he's very wise." I smiled a bit, I couldn't help but admire Clockwork.

"Wow, sounds like you look up to him even though you didn't know him for long." Danny chuckled as I nodded.

"Yeah, but he was also my ticket to bringing you back and stopping the accident. I was sure he wouldn't let me do such a thing, since it was his job to safeguard time, but to my surprise, he let me. Perhaps it was to teach me a lesson, he seems like the type to do that. Clockwork allowed me to go back on the day of the accident… and it worked, I managed to stop the accident, but… the present was changed drastically. Instead of you becoming the ghost hero of Amity Park, we were living with Vlad Masters."

"Vlad!?" Danny said in shock.

I nodded, "Yes, because according to history, you never became a ghost, thus you never stopped Vlad from getting Dad arrested during the reunion. And I later found out that you were in another accident that still turned you into a ghost… or… a half ghost… but you were trained by Vlad and not a hero." I sighed as I continued to tell him about Freakshow and how he took over the ghosts and made a ghost army, he even took Danny himself over, but I managed to snap him out of it and made it to the Ghost Zone where Clockwork was waiting. I told him about how I lost all hope and my sanity must've finally snapped. "And you know the rest…"

Both of us were quiet for a while… I guess Danny was trying to let it sink in. Finally, Danny spoke up, "So… I guess both of us were keeping secrets huh?"

"Yeah… but Danny… are you really only half ghost? How could you be both human and ghost?" I asked him and briefly wondered if Vlad was the same way, but I wasn't worried about him at the moment.

My brother shrugged, "I don't know… I'm not all that into biology, but I'm only guessing that the accident probably fused ectoplasm into my DNA, or maybe it only half killed me, but it stopped before it could kill me all the way. Perhaps my body was becoming a ghost but my flesh was still alive, so it gave me both the flesh and the ghost at the same time… It's… confusing, even I didn't get all that, but it's easier to just say I'm half human and half ghost, but the point is I'm still alive and I'm still here with you, bro."

"..." I kept looking at him and he looked at me… no words needed to be said. It was almost as if our connection sparked back to life in that instant, the moment of understanding. I now understood Danny is not dead after all… he had always been alive and trying to help everyone, he was just a boy with ghost powers. And Danny now understands that I still loved him, no matter what he was, I was just sad and desperate because I was left to my own assumptions and seeing he was a ghost and the existence of Halfas was not yet known to me, of course I'd come to the logical conclusion that he was dead and I wanted him back.

It was at the moment of understanding that everything we had done to each other, him pushing me away and me almost ruining his life and killing him, all was forgiven and forgotten. Tears began prickling at my eyes, not of sadness but of relief and joy, and I could see the same thing was going on with Danny. Both of us hugged each other and began crying in each other's arms, it was a true moment of understanding, happiness and gaining back what we had lost between brothers. I felt like I truly got my brother back, for the first time since the accident, I really got him back… Please, if this is a dream, don't wake me up.

"Aww, isn't that just sweet?" a voice suddenly spoke up and interrupted our moment. Both Danny and I separated as we saw Skulker again, floating above us. "Bah, I hate sweet, it leaves a bitter taste in my mouth!" he aimed his arm at us, turning it into some kind of gun.

I had wanted our brotherly happy moment to last longer, but I guess beggars can't be choosers. I glared as I stood up… I don't have my wrist gun or the Fenton Rod, apparently this Skulker must've taken them, but I do have one thing I could use, one that's better than any weapon I could ever have… "Bro? What are you doing?" I heard Danny asked me as he stood up too.

"Bro… do you trust me?" I asked him as I looked down, I know that the Ghost Zone sometimes has no gravity and lets us float, but there are also times when it lets us fall too, and this... is going to be one of those times, I looked over at my brother, it's either sink or swim now.

"Are you going to jump?" Danny frowned, noticing I was looking down.

"Do you trust me?" I asked him again.

"... Yes, I do." Danny nodded with determination in his eyes and I smiled at him.

"Then jump." I know Danny said he couldn't access his ghost powers, but… I noticed the handcuffs sparking, and I had a strong feeling… but it was either this or get our heads melded on this guy's wall.

Danny and I jumped just before Skulker shot at us! We were falling and I yelled over to Danny, "Now, transform and fly!"

"WHAT!? I can't!" Danny yelled back.

"Yes you can! I know you can, bro!" I quickly shouted back to him, seeing the handcuff's glowing blinking.

"B-but this handcuff is-"

"Ignore what the handcuff's doing! You've gotta transform and fly us out of here, hurry!" I shouted back at him and Danny frowned but he nodded as he shut his eyes, straining to transform.

I eyed the handcuff… looks like he'll need some help after all. I grabbed the handcuff with my hand and began pulling and squeezing it. "Come on bro! I know you can do it! I don't want to die after just finding out my own brother wasn't dead after all!"

I heard him hissing as a bright light appeared on his torso and the ring of light split in two as they began coating Danny's white shirt and blue pants with that familiar black and white hazmat suit. I realized he was hanging onto my hand when he transformed, and he smiled as he found he was in ghost form, now was our chance to get out of here!

Danny flew through the Ghost Zone, his legs were now a ghostly tail to help him move faster. Danny was hanging onto me. Suddenly some green ecto rays whizzed past us! We weren't out of danger yet, Skulker was flying closely behind us!

"How are you able to access your ghost powers, ghost child? I made that handcuff specifically to keep you from using it!" Skulker shouted in shock and annoyance. "Must be a malfunction somewhere."

I didn't really know how Danny was able to go ghost either, but all I knew was that I had to believe and encourage him to do the same, although the sparking of the handcuffs certainly helped… maybe a ghost is able to get their powers from human emotions and because Danny is half human that makes him much more powerful and unpredictable than other ghosts in existence. It's still hard for me to believe that someone could be half dead and half alive, and yet… I don't find myself questioning it anymore, the proof was right here in my hands, flying with me.

"Skulker, the only malfunction around here is your brain if you think you can capture me! Especially when I have my brother with me!" Danny said suddenly as he fired an ecto-ray from his other hand back at Skulker.

This all felt surreal, but I had to stay focus. "Danny, any ideas how we're getting out of here?"

"Hmm… see those doors? They're portals that could lead to a ghost's lair or parts of the human plane. We'll have to pick one and hope for the best." Danny answered me as he past some of the floating doors.

"But how can we tell which is which? All the doors look the same!" I said when I saw all the doors around us.

"Yeah, that's sort of the problem." Danny frowned. "But I think I can sense some of the ghosts on the other side, some are stronger than others."

Danny can… sense other ghosts? Well I suppose that's no surprise since he has the ghost sense, but I didn't know he could sense how powerful they are… those ghost powers are such a wonder to me. Danny floated around each door as if trying to determined which had the least ghost influence. Eventually, he opened a door and it seems to lead into a dark void and he flew us in before closing the door behind, hoping this would buy us some time.

I couldn't see anything due to the darkness, but I felt that my brother still had a tight grip on me, there's no way he was willing to lose me now. Both of us stayed quiet, hoping that Skulker would pass us and we can get out of here before we end up face-to-face with some angry, territorial ghost or something.

….. It was quiet, almost too quiet. Danny gave a frown, or I assumed he did since I couldn't see him. I may not be able to see anything in the dark, but that doesn't mean Danny couldn't, as a half ghost, I'm sure he could see perfectly well in here. Danny then let out a sigh of relief, which I'm guessing he sensed Skulker was gone.

"Okay, we should get back to the portal, that'll lead us back home." Danny whispered to me.

"How would we find it? This place is like endless space." I frowned.

"I know my way around here well enough." My Halfa brother replied with a shrug. "I've been here a lot with Tucker and Sam to map out the Ghost Zone."

Danny flew out from the door and was moving quickly but silently, neither of us wanted to alert Skulker should he be nearby. I sighed in relief as I could see again, that dark void really creeps me out.

"So how did you know I could go ghost even with these handcuffs on?" Danny suddenly asked me as he flew across the Ghost Zone.

"I saw they were sparking a bit, meaning they were weakened. And I knew you could overpower it, you're a really strong hero, Danny." I said to him, smiling a bit.

Danny looked down at me and sighed, "Not that strong. I couldn't even tell you about my powers, and you're the most trusted person to me! Some brother I turned out to be."

"No, it's okay Danny. I probably would've done the same thing if the situation was reversed." I said, almost repeating what he said to me when I almost killed him. "It isn't easy to tell anyone what happened to you, especially when you yourself are scared of it. I'm the one who lost it completely."

"Yeah but none of that would've happened if I had just told you from the beginning." Danny sighed. "I was worried you'd hate me and didn't want to be my brother anymore if you ever found out I became a half ghost freak. But it seems not telling you was hurting both of us far more than telling you from the beginning."

"Well… you told me now and the past is in the past, all we can do now is escape from this Ghost Zone and try to move on from there." I said with a shrug. And it's a good thing he finally told me when he did, because the truth can set you free. And I also mean that literally, because the handcuffs had been cracking since he transformed and they literally fell to pieces from our wrists.

Of course even without the handcuffs Skulker could track us down apparently, because he caught up to us before we could get to the portal. "Look out!" I yelled just as I saw another big ecto-ray coming at us!

Danny was fast, but he wasn't fast enough to react to this before he got shot! "Gah!"

"Danny!" I yelled as he accidentally let me go. Remember how I said sometimes there are gravity and sometimes not in the Ghost Zone? Well since there was no sense of gravity here, I ended up floating! Whoa… this just feels so weird…

"Andy! You okay?" I heard my brother calling for me.

"I-I'm fine, just disorientated…" I grumbled as my body flipped a bit.

Before Danny could say anything a glowing green net suddenly grabbed me from the side! I couldn't do anything as I yelped and flipped through the gravityless place! "ANDY!" I heard Danny yell as I felt even more disorientated.

"Looks like I caught your clone, ghost boy." Skulker smirked as he picked up the net with me in it.

"He's not a clone, Skulker! He's my twin brother!" Danny snapped angrily as Skulker held the net.

"Doesn't matter, you both look alike." Skulker said to him before frowning. "But why is he not half ghost like you?"

"Because I wasn't in the accident." I snapped at him. "Now let me go!"

"Ho ho! You're just as feisty as your brother, I like that." Skulker smirked at me before he held me out to Danny. "Ghost boy, if you want your brother back, then I challenge you to try and get him back. Prey is always more fun when they are motivated to fight the hunter."

"What? No! Let him go!" Danny charged at him but Skulker shot out an ectoblast and caused my ghostly brother to fall back as the cyborg ghost flew off with me!

"What are you doing?" I snapped.

"Isn't it obvious? I'm going to use you as bait for the ghost boy." Skulker smirked. Didn't he kidnap both of us to hunt us in the first place? I guess I'm not much of a prize anymore.

There wasn't much I could do. I could try struggling but that didn't get me much of anywhere… I can't break out of this net, so all I could do was watch or snap at the cyborg hunter, but I didn't feel like getting my head melded on his wall early.

I don't know how long Skulker intends to keep me on this island with him while he waits for my brother to trap him. I'm going to try and talk to him, stupid I know, but it might be a good way to distract him while finding out more information, "So… you're the Ghost Zone's greatest hunter."

"Yes, yes I am." Skulker spoke with a proud smug.

"And you're trying to get my brother because he's half human, half ghost?" I asked and he nodded.

"But of course, there exist only two of such rare creatures, your brother being one of them. And the other is my employee, so of course I can't go after him." Skulker said as he kept watch. "Now stop talking."

"So there's only two of them. Then why would you kill one of the only two in all of existence? Wouldn't it be better to keep him alive?" I asked, not that hunters usually care about keeping their targets alive unless specifically asked to by clients.

"Perhaps, but he's too wild to be kept in a cage alive." Skulker mumbled in annoyance.

"Maybe if you hadn't tried to cage him he wouldn't be 'so wild'. I know you're a hunter, but aren't some animals better left alone in the wild than to be hunted down to extinction just because they want to keep their freedom?" I know I sound like Sam right now, but with so many enemies Danny makes, I just feel like I should at least try to get his enemies to stop going after him, or at the least stop aiming to kill him.

"I am Skulker, the Ghost Zone's greatest hunter! I don't care about what they want, I'm just going to collect them or meld their pelts on my wall." Skulker snapped at me. "And you are not going to change my mind!"

"So why did you bother to hunt me down if I'm just human? Is it because you were looking for a good sport? Or perhaps you were only looking for the right bait?" I crossed my arms. "Either way, Danny's smarter than most people give him credit for, he may be desperate but he wouldn't fall for such an obvious trap."

"And you think I don't know that? I've been hunting that ghost boy for months, I know his tactics." Skulker smirked. I frowned… what did he have in mind?

"And you think your tactics will be enough to catch the elusive ghost boy?" I shrugged, acting confident.

"Of course it will! Wipe that annoying smug off your face." Skulker glared at me.

I kept my composure, "Well if Danny was able to elude you for months, then he knows all of your tactics too, trying to catch him is like impossible."

"Oh please, do you really think I wouldn't be able to catch the ghost boy? Just you watch, I'll prove that I, Skulker, can indeed catch the elusive ghost boy!" Skulker spoke out proudly and loudly.

"Then let's see how well you can do." I smirked, inwardly relieved when I heard my brother's echoed voice. Before Skulker could turn around, he was struck down from behind by my brother's ectoblast from his hands.

"Bro! You made it!" I smiled as he chuckled and phased me out of the net.

"Of course, I'd always come for my friends and family! Now let's get out of here!" Danny grabbed my arm as he quickly flew away from the island.

"NO! GET BACK HERE!" Skulker shouted.

"This guy just won't give up!" I frowned.

"Tell me about it, the guy doesn't know when to quit." Danny grumbled.

"Isn't there any way you could paralyze him long enough for us to get back home?" I asked him.

My phantom brother seemed a bit stumped before he said, "Stun him… well, the closest thing I could think of is to try and bash off his head."

"His head? Seems kinda gruesome even for a ghost don't you think? I mean something like that would be more effective on zombies." I said as Danny shook his head.

"No, no, Skulker is actually a very small ghost, he's using a high-tech battle suit to hunt or battle with. He's in the head, that's where he controls it." my phantom brother explained and I nodded, it makes sense.

"But how are we going to do that?" I asked him.

"Not sure, it's hard to get in close to him." Danny frowned.

"Hmm… I have an idea, but it's kinda risky. A lot of the ghosts here can't seem to tell the difference between twins, so what if we get Skulker to think I'm you?" I suggested to him.

"What? No! What if he blast you and hang YOUR pelt on his wall?" Danny shook his head.

"Hey, hey, hear me out. We could set a trap for the hunter." I said. "If he thinks I'm you long enough, you can ambush him and kick off the head! Or at least trap him somewhere he can't escape for a while so we can get away!"

"I still don't like this… I don't want you getting hurt!" Danny shook his head, worried for my safety.

"Danny! If we don't do it, we'll BOTH be more than hurt! Please, don't you trust me?" I asked him, looking up at his green eyes. I could tell that Danny hesitated here, probably thinking back about how he hadn't trusted me before and because of that it really hurted both of us.

"... A-alright… I'll… I'll trust you, but please don't get hurt bro." my Phantom brother said in concern as I nodded.

"Don't worry about me, I'll be fine. Now can you take us to that island rock with a cave? I know how we can trap Skulker so we can escape." I said as Danny flew towards it.

When my brother landed us on the rocky cave island, I quickly began taking off my shirt. "B-bro! What are you doing?" Danny asked quickly, not sure what I was doing.

"Turn back to human, Danny. We're going to do the ol' switch-a-roo." I said as my brother's eyes widen in realization and nodded, we hadn't done the 'switch-a-roo' since we were 10, but it works every time.

Danny turn back to human with a flash of light… I'm still not used to that. He quickly began taking off his white T-shirt too. We hurried and switched each other's shirts and pants, now Danny was wearing my black T-shirt with the blue triangle and red pants while I wore his white T-shirt with the red oval and blue pants. The only way you might be able to tell us apart is the color of our eyes since mine was emerald green and his was icy blue, but people and even ghosts don't usually pay attention to that little detail, thankfully.

"Okay bro, I'm going to get myself dirty and look like I've been weakened or something. Since humans can phase through just about anything here, I'm going to lead Skulker into that cave, I want you to hide and push that big boulder to close the cave's only entrance and exit. I'll be able to phase out of there, but it should keep Skulker trapped in there long enough for us get back home." I explained the plan quickly, but hoped he got it.

Danny nodded, "Right, but be careful bro, human or not, Skulker can still really hurt you."

"Don't worry about me. I have a few experience with ghost fighting myself." I told him as he looked at me in surprise, "Hey, what did you think I had to do when the entire town was infested with ghosts?" then both of us saw Skulker coming from a distance. "We'll talk about this later, get into position." I quickly began ruffling up my raven black hair while Danny quickly ran towards the boulder.

I began limping like I was hurt. Skulker flew at him and looked ready to shoot but didn't as he eyed me carefully, probably thinking this is a trap being the hunter that he is, and he's right, it is. I looked up 'weakly' at him and he frowned.

"Ghost boy… you have reverted back to your human form… perhaps one of my traps got you and separated you from your clone brother. On the other hand this could also be a trap." Skulker frowned at me.

I glared at him, "Yes, it's a trap, so you better leave now or you're going to get caught in it." I call this a bluff within a bluff.

"Hmph, on the other hand, you wouldn't outright admit this was a trap if you had an actual trap. Which means you're a sitting duck and all mine!" Skulker smirked evilly as I quickly began running towards the cave.

"You'll have to catch me first!" I said as I hurried to the cave.

"You cannot outrun me! Not as your much weaker and slower human body!" Skulker shouted as he flew after me. I sure hope this works…

I saw my brother waiting for me. I ran into the cave as Skulker flew after me, he must've noticed Danny because he said, "I'm about to get the ghost boy and there's nothing you can do about it, puny little human child." Ouch… Okay I may not be some half ghost superhero but that doesn't mean I'm incompetent!

I managed to run into the cave, leading the cybernetic ghost hunter into it, but he fired a glowing ecto net at me and made me trip over as it caught me! I groaned a bit as the net trapped me. Skulker flew in and smirked, this is bad… this wasn't part of the plan, I can apparently phase through everything here but I can't phase through a ghostly net!?

"You're mine now, ghost child." Skulker smirked as he floated over to me, ready to finish me off.

I gritted my teeth as I glared at him, but at least this way I can keep my brother safe… Skulker frowned a bit, "What's this? … You don't seem to have any ectoplasm in your system, my scanner's indicate you're an average human, how can this be?"

"Leave my brother alone, Skulker!" I gasped when I heard Danny's voice, what's he doing? This wasn't part of the plan! He's supposed to close the entrance with the boulder! Skulker turned to see Danny wearing my clothes.

"Do you think you can stop me?" Skulker growled at him before his scanners began beeping. "Wait… you're the ghost child!" he glared at me. "Clever, you two switched your garments to try and trick me!"

Danny glared as his eyes glowed green in anger as he said, "Let my brother go, Skulker, right now."

"Heh, your brother isn't whom I'm after anyway." Skulker smirked. "So maybe I might as well end his useless existence now and be done with him and his confusing look-alike tricks so I can just focus on you." he pointed his arm at me as it turned into a cannon!

I gasped… was Skulker really going to kill me? This only angered my brother more though, he looked ready to transform and just turn Skulker into scrap heap. I could only look at Skulker however, since he was pointing the cannon gun right at my face. I felt my heart beating against my chest, was this really it? No… no, I won't let it end like this! I knew I had to do something… this net that trapped me… it was designed to capture ghosts right? But it could also be designed to keep humans trapped too since he knew my brother was half human, but… wait… maybe he's not expecting humans to be able to fight back at all. He always underestimated me just because I was fully human… I wonder…

If Danny could keep Skulker distracted long enough, I might be able to escape. Danny was glaring heatedly at Skulker, who was looking at Danny, taunting him no doubt, good, he's distracted. I grabbed one of the sharp rocks beside me and quickly used it to start trying to cut through the ecto rope. I was relieved to see it was working, these ropes were obviously meant for ghost energy but not something like a rock.

I quickly cut the rope, but I still couldn't move much if Skulker's got that cannon gun in my face, he could fire and blow my head off before I can even try. What's he waiting for anyway? Is he using me to try and make Danny give up? That does seem the typical 'bad guy threatens hostage' cliche, how annoying. Hmm… I slowly began moving through the net, trying to get out while Skulker was still distracted.

"It's ME you want, Skulker! So leave my brother out of this!" I heard Danny snapped.

"Not a chance, if you want him alive you better surrender yourself, ghost child." Skulker smirked.

Then I spoke up when I finally crawled out of the net, "You know, I thought you'd think of yourself as an 'honorable' hunter, that it's no fun if you used underhanded tactics to catch your 'prey' without giving it a sporting chance. What changed your mind?"

Skulker and Danny looked at me in surprise, neither of them expected me to get out like that. "A hunter will use any tactic they must to get their prey." Skulker frowned at me.

"Yeah well, a hunter also knows not to underestimate its prey even if it's deemed useless in your terms! Because even a small rat can be very dangerous once trapped in a corner!" I snapped as I threw the sharp rock in my hand at him! Skulker didn't have time to react as the rock hit his head with a CLANG!

That little distraction was all Danny needed to call upon the ring and transformed him into his black and white ghost version of himself, he immediately flew at Skulker and punched the ghost robot so hard that he hit the wall and the head came off! I was surprised to see a much smaller green ghost flipped out of the broken head.

"So that's Skulker?" I blinked, I know Danny said that Skulker was small but I didn't expect it to be this puny! Then again all the ghosts I've been seeing lately are usually bigger than I am.

"Yup, it'll be a while before he gets his battle suit ready so let's get out of here bro." Danny said with a smirk as the tiny Skulker glared.

"You will fear me, do you hear!? You'll pay for this!" Skulker snapped in his high pitched voice.

Danny grabbed my arms and flew us out of there. I was so relieved that he finally got us back home through the Ghost Portal in the lab. As soon as my feet touched the lab's floor, Danny immediately closed the portal before changing back to human, still in my clothes.

Now that we were out of danger, the adrenaline wore off and my emotions of having thinking Danny was dead for almost half a year, almost killing him, revealing he was still half alive and working together all came crashing down on me. I didn't know how to react with all these emotions… so when Danny gave a sigh of relief and turned to me to say something, I couldn't stop myself when I suddenly gave him a hug.

"A-Andy?" Danny sounded surprised and I don't blame him, but I couldn't help myself.

"Danny… b-bro… it's… it's the truth right? You're really… still alive?" I asked him again, wanting to be reassured. I didn't want this to be a dream or some delusion, I wanted this to be real, but I feared that once I 'wake up' I'll find myself back at the cruel reality that my brother is dead and gone.

I couldn't help it, the tears just began to flow from my eyes on their own. I hated crying and I hated to look weak, but I just couldn't stop it. I felt Danny hugging me back as well as he said, "It's okay, bro… I'm sorry, I should've told you sooner. I'm alive, I'm only half ghost. I'm still me and I'm still here."

"B-but I thought… I thought I… lost you in that accident… and when I found out that you… you were a ghost… I just…" I didn't know how to say it.

"You thought I was dead." my brother said, knowing what I meant and I only nodded, trembling in his arms. I felt Danny hugging me tighter. "I should've known that I couldn't keep something like this hidden from you for very long and that you'd come to your own conclusion. I thought I was protecting you, to keep you from getting hurt that your brother is a half human, half ghost freak, but all I did was pushed you away and hurt you even more by doing so. I've seen that you were losing your sanity and how lonely you were… it almost got to the point that you tried to to kill me. Andy… could you ever forgive me?"

By now my eyes were like a faucet, tears were spilling out like crazy and I couldn't stop them as I just buried my head into my brother's shoulder. "I-I should've been there… I-I should've b-been there w-with you i-in that a-a-accident… I-I almost killed you! A-and I wouldn't let you t-talk to me a-anymore a-after I-I found o-out… s-so you couldn't h-have told me a-anyway… and I-I was just a b-burden. C-could you ever f-forgive me?"

I felt Danny hugging me tighter, "No bro… it was my fault this happened. I don't ever want us to tear apart like this again… we're twins and best of friends, we should've trusted each other more and stick together, no matter what. I just wished we learned that sooner."

I nodded, remembering Paulina saying something like this. About how even the closest of families could fall apart but they still care for each other. But all those hardships, everything that's happened up to this point suddenly didn't matter to me anymore. Danny's here and he's still alive, I didn't have to change the timeline, I didn't have to try and bring him back, I didn't have to say good-bye… I was happy that my brother finally told me and… maybe things could become right again.

"Thank you, bro, for not giving up on me." Danny said and I blinked, the tears making it kinda hard to see, but he continued, "And… welcome to Team Phantom."

"Eh?" I blinked, looking at him, quickly trying to wipe away the annoying tears.

"Now that you know my secret, I want you to be a part of Team Phantom. Tucker, Sam and I work together to keep the city safe, and now you can help too, what do you say?" Danny asked, smiling at me as he put his hands on my shoulders and had me face-to-face.

"Are you sure? I mean I've been like an outsider to you guys since-" Danny interrupted me.

"No, no, you were never meant to be an outsider and I'm sorry for making you feel that way. Tucker and Sam will be happy to take you back in once we explain the situation to them." Danny assured me. "They were still your friends too, they only pushed you away because of me."

I looked at him for a moment, thinking about it. It'd be nice to be a part of their group again, but I didn't want to leave Dash and Valerie… they've become great friends to me these past months and had been very supportive too. They've both proven to be loyal friends when they helped me find Clockwork despite the dangers. I gave a small smile and said, "Sure, but only if you promise Dash and Valerie will help out too."

"Huh? Why them?" Danny asked, frowning in confusion.

"I don't mean helping directly, they don't know your secret either, but they have become my friends over the past months." I explained and Danny nodded, remembering how I told him about saving Dash and supporting Valerie.

"Sure, they can help in their own way too, but we're not exactly on easy terms…" Danny said awkwardly.

I nodded, "Yeah, Dash is only bullying you lightly because he wants to keep his image but he won't do much to you anymore because of me. Valerie has that… big vendetta against your ghost half. But they really are good friends and they've proven that when I wanted to bring you back."

Danny nodded again, "I'm sure they are, and I hope one day I can become their friends too. Until then, I'm just happy to have you in the team, as it should be."

We hugged each again and smiled. Despite our hardships, we were happy to be together again. I think that separation strengthen our bound rather than deteriorate it, but I've still got a lot of catching up to do, not to mention now that I'm officially part of the team I've got a lot to learn from Tucker, Sam and my superhero ghostly brother, Danny.

Author: And there you have it folks, Andy finally knows Danny is half ghost and isn't dead. I hope I didn't disappoint you guys with the revelation.

Andy: Are you kidding? I'm GLAD I'm finally done with the whole being emo and 'my brother's dead' thing!

Author: I'm sure you are and many others agree with you. Now we'll see where the story will go since Andy is no longer going nuts and becoming desperate again. Oh yeah, some of you said that the Hellfire parody was a bit 'over the top' last chapter. Honestly, I only did it for fun, if I wanted I could've just deleted it altogether, but I was listening to it that day and really wanted to do a parody and I thought that part in the story was perfect for it. And it's funny to imagine ANDY singing it.

Andy: Hey! *blushes* What!?

Author: Anyways... that part with Skulker... honestly I had trouble thinking how they'd escape him since Andy didn't have any weapons or hoverboards like Valerie did in the actual episode, and I wanted Danny and Andy to try that twin switch-a-roo at least once in the story. I apologize if that part seemed a bit rushed.

Andy: Hmph, at least I was able to teach Skulker a thing or two about humans not being so weak.

Author: True. And I realize that Paulina was a bit too nice to Andy last chapter, but in all honesty, Paulina isn't a really bad person, she just made some bad decisions. I like to think there's more to her character than being a simple pretty, snobby face. Of course, I won't expand upon it much, nor will we really see Dash and Valerie as much again until in the sequel (if there is one), because most of what's going to happen with Dash, Valerie and Paulina will happen in the sequel since the rest of this story needs to have Andy back with his old friends Tucker, Sam and Danny. But I promise you that Andy will still talk to Dash and Valerie for the remainder of the story, he just won't be doing as much with them until the- possible- sequel.

Andy: Stop saying that, you're really bringing me down if you have all this planned for the sequel and yet still have the possibility there won't be one!

Author: Sorry about that... but readers, if I do the sequel, I like to know what you're hoping to see in it. Whether Andy becomes half ghost like his brother, whether he stays human and is the Batman to Danny's Superman, or if something completely crazy happens. I'd like to hear your thoughts on this chapter and what you'd like to see in the possible sequel so I have an idea what you guys might want. At the very least it'll give you something to talk about in the reviews other than 'good story, update soon'.

Andy: Yeah! We'd like to see your thoughts on the matter and what's going to happen to me and my brother.

Author: So until next time everyone, I am DarkFoxKit and I look forward to hearing from you!
