Author's Note: Eh, I sort made myself a deadline its over! That power out really screwed me up and deleted some of my stuff. (Always remember to check the battery levels on your laptops) So I made the last chapter a summary and end the first part of this story. So I apologize before hand, and the re-write is up! Though it's only the prologue...but that's better than nothing.

After a long talk with Vlad about visiting Will, Janice pouted when she had to always had to bring an escort. At least she didn't have to bring a huge army.

She hadn't seen Skulker in a week, that was probably a good thing considering that she was still mad at him. Kwan seemed to lighten up on the whole 'loving' her thing. But his mom sure wasn't, she always kept calling her 'daughter-in-law' when they see each other on the streets.

Danny was a bit on the creepy side, always following her, spying her. Sam and Tucker were there too, they would always bug her but she noticed and threw the bugs away.

Paulina and Star were almost on her last nerve, there preppiness was sickening. She was about to snap! If Vlad wasn't going to let her go, then she's going to make him.

And she had a plan. A plan that would lead him to hate her, and Clockwork had to go find someone else to replace her.

Janice calmly walked up to the mayor's office. Flashing her pass to the secretary, she opened Vlad's office door. Standing their were three teenagers, two boys and a girl.

Her heart stopped, was it to late to get him to hate her? No of course not the Master Blasters last a couple days before they mess up.

"Janice sweetie, are you here to see the latest ghost hunters?" Vlad smiled as he pulled uniforms from behind his desk.

"Hold it!" Janice held out her hands. "Er, can I talk to my dad…in private please?"

"No way." The girl sneered looking at her fingers.

"Sure!" The tall blond one smiled and dragged his team mates out.

"Is something the matter dear?" Vlad put away the suits.

"You making the- I mean them into Mas- ghost hunters!" Janice stuttered, it was difficult to get the right words out. When you're not suppose to give away the fact that you're from another world…but did that apply to Vlad?

"It fine," Vlad walked towards her, "they're fully trained and equipped." he patted her back reassuringly.

"Yeah," Janice folded her hands. "but what if they find out…that you're a ghost."

Vlad's eyes widen. "No-no, we'll keep that a secret." He squeezed her arms. "Besides they won't be ghost hunting until next week. They'll need practice with their new gear."

Janice breathed in, had he gone to space yet? Had he caused the asteroid to hurl down to earth?

"And tomorrow I'll be gone the whole day." Vlad walked back to his desk.

"Are you going to get the map?"

"Excuse me?" Vlad perked up.

"The ghost map." Janice bit her lip and mentally crossed her fingers.

"How did you- what?" Vlad was confused, he never told her about the infinitive map…had he?

"Please tell me you didn't to get it." Janice whined, her time was running out and she didn't know it. "Please."

"As a matter of fact I have it right here." He pulled out the map from his top main drawer.

"Why?" She thought from his new obsession, her, this would stop some of this madness.

"It's a map that would lead anyone to their outmost desire." Vlad tried to explained. "I need it to find my true destiny, since the first couple of times it didn't work out." He slowly muttered the last part.

"Vlad." She placed her head in her hands. "No."

"No, what?" His grip tighten on the map. "What is it?"

"Look, just give me the map." She reached her hand out.

Vlad scrunched up his brows, why did she need the map. Wasn't she happy here? Does she not see her destiny? What's wrong?

"Give me the map Vlad." She glared at him, demanding the cursed object.

"Why on earth do you need it?" Vlad hid the object behind his back.

"Why do you need it?"

"I've already told you." Vlad was getting fed up with this game.

"Vlad, either hand me the map or I'll-"

"Or you'll what?" Vlad glared at the girl. Honestly he loved her, but sometimes she would just getson his nerves.

"I'll do something stupid and aggressively." She warned.

Vlad rolled his eyes, slowly putting the away the map he was attacked. Attacked by his own daughter.

"Give me the map!" She aggressively yelled into his ear.

"Good heavens girl!" Vlad tried to push her off him. Getting no valid escape, he became intangible and went straight through her. "What has gotten into you?"

"Unhand that map!" She tackled him to the ground when he became visible. Gabbing the map she thought about just staying home, staying home and really relax for once. This whole new life was nothing but chaos and heart breaking. For no reason at all! She just wanted to be home, with her family.

Then the map glowed, it ripped opened a portal and sucked both of them through. Holding onto each and the map, the pair screamed through the whole trip. Roughly landing on carpeted floors, a meow was heard.

"What the biscuits?" Vlad sat up from the floor. "How did we end up in the mansion?"

"I don't know." Janice rubbed the back of her head.

The map then suddenly vanished, being pulled in by another vortex. Vlad helplessly dove for, only to grasp at air.

"The map!" He pawed at the floor. "It's gone!"

"No it's right there." Janice sarcastically said patting Maddie's kitten head.

"The map is only suppose to send a person where they want to go, or their desire." Vlad whipped his head to face her. "What did you do?"

"Only think about having a relaxing day with my family for once." Janice picked the cat and held her tight. "But I guess the map couldn't give me that, now could it?"

Vlad blinked. When was the last time he had a relaxing day with his daughter? All this time he thought she was doing fine without him, he would always cause her pain. Why did she want to spend a whole day with him?

Crawling over to her, Vlad hugged her tightly. "I'm sorry." But why was he sorry? He felt guilt, but why was he guilty?

"Look Vlad, we're not a family, or a high functioning family, don't-don't try acting like a dad right now."

"But all I've done was try to act like a father." Were did Vlad go wrong? What was he doing wrong?

"More like a villain with a daughter." Janice grumbled. "All you do is plot to destroy Jack, defeat Danny, win Maddie, or, I don't know, make yourself supreme leader of the world."

"I've never said anything about being supreme leader of the world." Vlad was taken back, was his evil scheme plotting ruining their hopes of being a family.

"Stop being evil for once." Janice glared at him, maybe if he would stop being bad she would get to go home.

'Stop being evil,' something Vlad didn't think about doing. He was so pent up on getting revenge, and when that didn't work, and taking rule over large kingdoms. But his anger, his selfish needs, they were dwindling away into nothing. Maybe he can try being a mutual instead, still go on his usual ghost and humans duties, but as a mutual. Someone of fair ground, someone that would stop being a complete villain. For his daughter.

"Alright, I'll stop being evil." Vlad tighten his grip on her. "For you Janice."

Not knowing, Janice compact was slowly dissolving, reforming into Clockworks hands.

The future has been changed, but something else was brewing. Something dark to balance the light. Something that connected to the hidden thermos that was laughing.

Go read the re-write, and I'm probably thinking of making a ask blog for Janice...
