HEATH P.O.V
As I sat i the kitchen I heard the lounge room door open. I looked up and say Bianca walking in with Lani. She dumped her bag at the edge of the table and got out her file and pencil case.
"You home early" I said looking at my watch
She sat down at the table and didn't look at me
"Can someone tell me what's going on" I asked
"There was a fire" Bianca said getting a drink out of the fridge
I looked at Lani, her face stayed the same
"Let me guess, you had nothing to do with it" I said
"It doesn't matter what I say, you've already made your mind up about me"
I was about to loose it but then I thought
"Why don't you tell me, change my mind"
"I didn't set the fire and I didn't tag the wall"
"who did it then" Bianca asked sitting at the table "The firebug"
"The Sniper"
"Sounds about right" I said
"How do you know"
"Because she asked me to do it and I said no"
Bianca and I looked at her.
"She also set fire to Mangrove high"
"She ask you to do that too"
"Yep" She replied "She said if I told anyone, she'd tell the police I did it. She knows how to plant the evidence"
Maybe she had been telling the truth but I had been to blinded by making my mind up before I heard the evidence. Bianca got up and went next door, leaving Lani and I in the kitchen.
"You'd be a terrible juror" She said
"Why?" I asked obvious to the answer
"Because you'd make up your mind before you even look at them"
"Yeah, I guess you got that right"
"But you'd make a great parent"
"What makes you say that"
"You asked me for my side of the story before you made up your mind this time" She said " Darcy's lucky to have you"
I smiled at her " Cut a deal with you, I'll listen to your first if you tell me the truth from now on"
"Only if you help me with my homework"
"Fine, but you have to help me with mine" I said putting my hand out
"Deal" She said Shaking my hand
LANI P.O.V
Heath may have gone from being the childish brother to being the father figure, but it wasn't that bad. It was a good thing. Brax may be gone for the next 15 years but at least this family can stay the way it used to be, almost. I felt my phone vibrate in my pocket. I pulled it out and saw Maddie's name come up.
"Can I go" I asked
"Where to" Replied Heath
"The beach"
"With who"
I had to laugh at him
"Maddie and Spencer, Dad"
"Alright but be back before dark Muppet"
"Why"
"Cops will be out after dark so do what you want to do before so you don't get in trouble"
I went out the door quietly laughing at Heath. He was so annoying it was cute. I don't think I could take him seriously anymore. I went down to the surf club. The wall still had the spray paint all over it. I could finally see what he painted on it. It was a skull and had the words 'Party Zone'. It made absolutely no sense.
"Hey" Maddie said coming up to me
"Hey" I replied
"How was that fire" Spencer said coming up to us
"Yeah" I replied
"I recon it was Ms Montgomery" said Maddie
"Don't doubt it" I replied
"Hey were sorry about before" Said Spencer
"What happened before" I asked
"Going all awkward when we found out"
"Don't be, you can't really say ;hope it gets better soon' "
"Yeah," Said Maddie "But were here if you need us"
"Thanks"
"Anyway changing the subject, Hows Casey"
"He's good, he was gonna come home today but he has to stay another night"
"Is he gonna listen to them though"
"Well he can't fight them cause he can barely breathe"
"What actually happened" Asked Spencer
"The bullet hit his lung and punctured it"
"Who pulled the trigger?"
"Josh and Andy's mum"
I really wanted to change the subject but with the things on my mind I didn't want too blurt out something stupid and get myself stuck so I just listened to what they had to say.
HEATH P.O.V
"Your home early" I said to Lani walking through the door
"Pigs came out early" She replied
I was about to congratulate her but then I remembered Bianca was in the kitchen "Oi, watch what you say" I said giving her the thumbs up
She looked at me and smiled.
"Teas ready" Bianca said bringing out a pot of pasta and putting it on the table.
She raced to the table and grabbed her plate before I had the chance to get mine
"You hungry" Laughed Bianca
"No," She replied" Just want to get some before Heath eats it all and for once it's not pizza"
"Good idea"
"Hey i'm not that bad" I said
She looked at me and raised her eyebrow
"Hey earlier on when you said you knew who set fire to the school you also said you knew who tagged the surf club wall" Said Bianca
She put her fork down on the plate and looked at us
"You gonna tell us who did it?"
"I can't"
"Why"
"I promised them I wouldn't dob and if I tell DoCS will take his sister away"
She froze "He" said Bianca
I looked at her. It looked like she knew but I didn't.
"Who was it?" I asked
