Chapter 17: The Emerald Is MINE!
Sonic, Hiccup and Toothless were nearing the final part of the race, Outcast Island. Sonic ran on the water with a tiny bit of worry. He's always hated water for his own reasons but has always pulled through in the when he needed to. Until he saw a group of blue, long, spiny dragons, then he started to panic and ran up to the closet pillar and stayed on the top. Hiccup saw this and directed Toothless to where Sonic was. "Whoa what gives, you just up and ran in the other direction like you saw Thor's hammer fall out of the sky right next to your face." Hiccup asked. Sonic cringing in fear only replied. "That's what it feels like." And pointed at the group of dragons in the water. Hiccup saw the dragons and face palmed. "You're scared of some silly Thunderdrums, and from what I've seen I thought you'd be scared of nothing." Hiccup stated. "Wait, seen? What are you talking about?" Sonic asked curiously as he forgot about the fear ahead. "I'll answer you if you beat me to the island." Hiccup stated as he and Toothless took off. "Wait what!" Sonic ran down the pillar finding a ramp at the bottom. He ran off the ramp flinging himself into the air landing directly on Toothless next to Hiccup. "Alright next stop Outcast Island!" Sonic yelled as Toothless sped up and flew into the clouds.
With Shadow, Spike, Twilight and the rest:
"Okay so now we need to get to Outcast Island, now Hiccup and Sonic took the long route so by the time we get there they should be there." Astrid explained. "Uh I have a question, since when were you in charge?" Snotlout was given a mace to the face after asking that. "Are there any 'other' questions?" Astrid asked. Tuffnut quickly asked. "Uh yeah will there be a good explosion or will that be caused by us?" Ruffnut punched her brother hard. "You idiot of course it'll be made by us or there wouldn't be an explosion at all!" She yelled. "Oh right, duh." Tuffnut said. "Um what about these three?" Fishlegs pointed to Shadow, Twilight and Spike. "We'll handle getting there ourselves." Shadow said. "Alright then in that case this meeting is over and let's saddle up." Astrid commanded and everyone went to their dragons and flew off, leaving Shadow, Spike and Twilight behind. "So how are we getting to the island?" Spike asked. Shadow pulled out his green Chaos Emerald. "With this, now hold on." Shadow commanded. They did so hold onto Shadow's arms as tightly as possible. "CHAOS … CONTROL!" and they disappeared in a flash.
With Sonic, Hiccup, and Toothless:
"There it is, well it looks like I win if you're riding on-" Hiccup looked back and saw Sonic had jumped off and was now free falling towards the island. "Well in that case, Toothless dive bomb now!" Hiccup yelled. Toothless nosedived towards the island but was still far behind Sonic. As they fell they looked down and saw something was off. "What is going on down there?" Sonic yelled. Hiccup took out his spyglass and looked down upon the island with great fear. "It looks like a battle but I don't know with what, I've never seen creatures like that before." Hiccup yelled back. "What!?" Sonic looked down and looked closer at the island. He saw Vikings fighting what looked like shadowy creatures but then he saw Black Doom fighting the biggest and the most deranged Vikings there. "Oh you've got to be kidding me." He said.
One the island:
There were Black Aliens running left and right fighting off as many Vikings as possible. At the time it looked like the Black arms were winning so the Outcasts and Berserkers surrendered. But not Alvin the Treacherous or Dagger the Deranged, they wanted these creatures gone so they would do anything possible to do so. "You fools do you even know the power that gem holds?" Black doom asked as he swept the two Vikings away. Dagger got up and ran towards the alien. "No but I don't care * he swung his axe at Doom but he missed* But if it's as valuable as you say then it's sure to get me that Night Fury from Hiccup." Dagger kept swinging his axe at Doom, then Alvin got up and charged into the fight. Then out of nowhere they heard a loud sound followed by and explosion that separated Dagger and Alvin from Black Doom. Sonic landed between the two and pulled out Caliburn getting ready for battle. "Sir Sonic I don't think we can win this one." Caliburn said. "Well you haven't talked in a while so why do you get to judge what I can or can't do?" Sonic asked. "Never mind then, Strike with all your might and you may prevail, is that better?" Sonic got in his fighting stance. "Very, here we go Black Doom, I hope you're hungry cause I got an order of an extra clobbering with your name on it." Sonic exclaimed. Meanwhile Hiccup and Toothless distracted Alvin and Dagger by blasting them with plasma blasts from Toothless. "You really think that I am here for a show rodent?" Black Doom asked. "Ugh when are you guys ever, look Mephiles already gave me the spiel about The Dark One, so if that's what you're here for then you can leave." Sonic explained. "Wrong hedgehog, I am fully aware of Mephiles' actions, but I am simply here to deliver a message to Shadow from Fluttershy." Black Doom explained. "Wait seriously? Then why the battle?" Sonic asked. "I felt a Chaos Emerald nearby when I got here, so I thought I would save you and Shadow the trouble of getting it for you." Black doom called off the Black Arms and they all disappeared in a black smoke.
By then Shadow and everyone else made it to the island. Shadow say Black Doom and felt a rage like none other. "What the Hell is going on here!" He yelled as he stomped his way over to Black Doom, pushing Spike and Twilight off of him. "Ah Shadow perfect timing, I have a message for you." Doom said. "Oh yeah and from who this time your face!" Shadow was infuriated, after the last time he saw Doom he wanted nothing to do with him. Especially after figuring out he came back from the dead. "Fluttershy." After Doom said that Shadow quickly one-eightied from rage to worry and he quickly tightened his attitude. "Ahem, and what is the message?" Shadow asked expecting a voice message but instead got an envelope. "She says thank you for all your help." And with that Black Doom disappeared in a thick black smoke. "Well now that that is taken care of." Sonic turned his attention to Alvin and Dagger who have been fighting Hiccup and Toothless, then looked at Ruff and Tuff. "Hey Ruff, Tuff could you make an explosion on the two Hiccup and Toothless are fighting please." He asked. "Oh yeah we're on it." Tuff said wailing about on his half of the Zippleback. "Oh yeah well I'm on it first." Ruff said and they were off.
"You want the gem Hiccup, fine take it, but all you have to do is give the Night Fury to me." Dagger said, before he was shot at by a plasma blast from Toothless. "Yeah that's not going to happen, Toothless Plasma-" Hiccup was interrupted by Ruffnut yelling. "Incoming!" Followed by a two headed dragon flying in with one head spewing green gas on Dagger and Alvin. "Oh this isn't good." Alvin said before the other head of the dragon lite the gas causing an explosion that sent Alvin and Dagger to the edge of the island. Sonic ran up in front of them and pointed Caliburn to them. Everyone surrounded the two as they looked up in fear. "Give us what belongs to us, and we'll leave you no harm." Sonic commanded. "Never!" Dagger yelled. "Well in that case, I'll have to blow your entire island here." Sonic threatened pulling out one of his emeralds and started glowing blue. "What!" Both yelled. "Yeah with just one Chaos Emerald I can explode half a nation." Sonic explained glowing brighter. "Okay you can have it." Alvin said pulling out the blue emerald. "What no you can't just hand it to them." Dagger yelled as he grabbed for the emerald, but reached for nothing. "Wait what!?" Dagger was so confused, he swore he was about to get the emerald. "Sorry guys." Sonic flipped the blue emerald in the then caught it in his hand. "But this party's canceled, let's go everyone." Sonic commanded and they all left the island.
Back On Berk:
Sonic, Twilight, Shadow, Spike, Hiccup, and Astrid were all in Hiccups house saying goodbye. "You know it kind of makes me sad that we have to go, this place is rather amazing." Twilight said. "Well you know you can always come back when you want, especially after you helped with after the Outcast attack." Hiccup said. "Well I got a sinking feeling we'll be seeing each other again 'very' soon." Sonic said. "Oh well that's all good, you guys tend to quicken the fights we have here." Astrid said. "So are we all good to go now? The last emerald still needs to be found." Shadow asked. "Sure … uh actually there's something I need to take care." Sonic said. "And what would that be?" Spike asked. "Actually Sonic and I need to take care of something." Twilight said. Spike and Shadow looked at them then at each other. Shadow nodded and Spike just shrugged. Sonic looked at Twilight. Twilight just looked guilty and sad. "Okay we'll give you two sometime to 'work' things out." Shadow said as he removed everyone from the house. After everyone was gone Sonic's look turned from fun-loving to super-serious. "Look, I know that you've got your stuff to work out, but I just can't handle this right now, I just want to-" Sonic was stopped when Twilight kissed him on the lips. When she pulled away Sonic was left in a state of shock he couldn't even stand right. "Sonic I know things lately have been 'weird' lately but I've come to a decision and I've decided to let fate decide and follow my heart." Twilight explained and hugged our true blue. "Twilight, I uh." Sonic was lost for words he was just stunned and happy to have his hope back. "Don't speak, just feel." Twilight said as she just hugged him softly, and slowly kissed him. "Yeah Sonic and Twilight are back together." Spike yelled as he ran back inside surprising Sonic and Twilight. "Great now can we go now?" Shadow asked as he too entered the room. "Yeah sure we can leave." Sonic said, he pulled out the blue emerald and Shadow pulled out the green one. "CHAOS CONTROL!" they both yelled and they were gone in a flash.
A/N: Hey what's up everyone, and just wanted to say "Thank God" cause now I actually have a little more time to work on this and finish it sooner. Now we are nearing the ending but it's still a ways away and will hopefully have a greater ending then the previous arch but not as emotional, so anyway have a good time like always and I should be back next time.
