Disclaimer : I don't own Transformers or any of it's affiliates. I only own Eliana and Erika.
Note : I recall someone giving me some information on the fandom in a review that I didn't know, involving Primus and the 13 original Primes. Thank you for that tidbit, but please remember that most of what my OCs know of the fandom stems from my own knowledge, which is based primarily on the Bayverse movies, countless fanfictions I've read, and whatever came up in discussions with other fanfiction writers. I did watch the cartoons and the movies when I was younger, but unfortunately that was a LONG time ago, and I've forgotten about 80% of it again.
I do recall the bit about the 13 original Primes, but it's a bit much just keeping track of 7 OCs, so there was no way in pit I could write 13 of them. Admittedly, I try to keep my stories as fact-based as I can when I can, but my facts are limited. :(
Note 2 : Sorry for the late update! Unfortunately, with the arrival of summer has come some family issues I've been dealing with. It's nothing serious or health related, but it is very important and distracting, so I've gotten very little writing of any kind done in the past few weeks (months?). So I am still working, but it might take a bit between updates until these issues are resolved.
(Normal POV)
"Alex...?"
"Angel...?"
"Are you seeing what I'm seeing?"
"That depends. Are you seeing a giant robot flipping through the air with the greatest of ease...?"
"...Yeah...?"
Said bot flew overhead. It had bright blue eyes, an almost black body, and glowing, loudly humming cannons on each wrist. He flew maybe ten feet in the air, despite its massive size, and as it fell head first towards the ground, it pointed it's cannons at the ground and fired. The ground shook and debris went flying, and the bot flew even higher as it finished it's flip without kissing the ground.
People were running in every which direction, screaming and crying with terror. Cars were parked haphazardusly on the street, buildings smoked and burned, and the air stank of smoke and dust. And amidst it all, two teens stood stock still in the center of the sidewalk, staring in gaping shock at the black bot as it raced down the street, towards a giant grey, red-eyed robot who was firing on a silver blue-eyed bot.
"Th-That... That's... No."
"Yes."
"No."
"Yes."
"No.
They watched as a yellow bot seemed to appear out of nowhere, with whirring saws on its wrists. It ducked under a swinging blade and sliced at the big bot, and then the smaller silver bot with Batman ear fins flipped over the bot, blasting it as it went.
"Ratchet! And Jazz! Holy heck! Angel, Jazz is still alive!"
"...I see that..."
So were Ratchet and Ironhide.
Obviously.
The two teenagers stood there, gawking at the battling bots maybe forty feet away from them. They stood there, half hidden behind a street light, watching the beat down with utter rapt attention, not even blinking at the explosions ringing out on another nearby street, or the jets flying overhead.
They didn't even seem to notice as, several minutes later, a large blue and red, flame-decaled semi cab burst out from an alley behind them a ways, roaring in their direction and flinging trash cans in its way aside.
Well, until it screeched to a stop beside them, and a man materialized out of thin air in front of them.
Dual sets of grey eyes widened in shock and two mouths hung open in silent disbelief.
The man before them was tall and well built. He looked to be in his late twenties or so, with a five o'clock shadow, short, black unruly hair and unearthly blue eyes. He wore dark green and beige camo pants and a black t-shirt that fit him snugly. A military outfit, with an Autobot insignia in silver on the left side of the chest of the shirt. Stepping towards them, he raised a hand and raked it through his hair in a human fashion, eyes darting around warily.
"Angelina Rosalie Cross and Alexander Gregory Cross?" He had a deep, masculine voice, and a tense smile that didn't quite reach his eyes. "Owners of FicMe accounts 'War Dancer' and 'Freestyle'?" Cocking his head to the side, he stood rigidly, eyes darting around. He was clearly on guard. "Are you two, as Eliana would say 'Trans-fans'?"
They blinked at him blankly.
He only tensed further as he stood next to them. "I fear I must ask you two to come with me. Time is of the essence. Your presences are required." He moved to the side, and the driver side door of the semi popped open.
They blinked at him blankly.
The man frowned at them. "You two are Angelina and Alexander Cross, are you not?"
Shaking her head, Angel grabbed her little brother's arm and pulled him back, away from the strange man and the truck that seemed to be moving on it's own.
Only for her brother to dig his heels in and fight against her.
"Ange, that's Optimus Prime!"
"No, that's a random man who appeared out of thin air! That-" She pointed to the truck with her free hand. "-is Optimus Prime." Then she did a double take and glanced between him and the fighting bots several times. "Wait..."
Alex seemingly ignored her, struggling to pull himself free as he stared at the man watching the two of them warily. "Are you like his holoform, or something?" He stepped towards the man, eyes roaming over the broad figure. Without hesitation, he reached out and...poked the figure before him in the arm.
The army man watched the boy curiously.
Angel's eyebrows snapped upward, but she made no move to stop him, or approach the man herself. "Alex!" She hissed quietly.
"What?" He turned to her, and maybe her fear was written across her features, but he frowned briefly. "Ange, we're in the middle of a war!"
"Seriously? I hadn't noticed!"
It had taken a bit to get with the program, what with their being giant alien robots duking it out around them, and what not, but now she was quite aware of the dangers around them.
"There's crap blowing up all around us!" He pointed down the street, towards three bodies of people who'd been crushed beneath a heavy piece of stone that must have fallen from the half demolished building looming over them. "We were supposed to look for safety, remember?"
She cringed briefly, being reminded of their original plan.
The day had been normal. Or, well, as normal as it could be, considering all things Transformers had disappeared a while ago. They'd been going to the mall, planning on checking out the local thrift shop that always had merchandise from the biggest movie hits out there. It felt like a given that they'd have to have something related to Transformers. Then, all of a sudden, things had gone to shit. Buildings began to explode, missiles went flying, and people started screaming.
The plan was to look for safety.
Go find a subway, deep under ground, and curl up somewhere until it was all over.
At least, that was the plan...until they'd gotten distracted by the pretty vehicles transforming into giant robots...
"It can't get much safer than with Optimus Prime, right?"
Blinking out of her thoughts, Angel shook her head briefly. She stared at the man before them, who was now looking down towards the other bots, before following his gaze...only to find the Decepticon reduced to rubble, and the three Autobots long since gone.
Huh, they're giant robotic ninjas!
"I fear we are out of time." Suddenly, as Angel's gaze snapped back, the man flickered and disappeared, before the semi began to pull apart and shift. Before their eyes, the truck turned into a robot, far taller than all the others. It seemed to happen so quickly. One minute she was standing next to the spitting image of the famous red and blue flame decaled Peterbilt, and the next she was standing next to the Optimus prime.
Once he was transformed, he quickly bent down...and before Angel could do more than gasp her little brother's name in horror, Optimus had scooped the sixteen year old up and was holding him high up off the ground.
And instead of crying out for help, of course Alex was laughing with delight and joy!
Idiot.
"You must come with me." And Optimus, who didn't seem remotely phased by the giggling teenage boy in his grip, reached down for Angel.
She shrieked, but froze, allowing him to pick her up.
Not that she wanted to, but it was that or risk him running off with her baby brother!
It was a dizzying thing, being picked up by a giant robotic being. The ground seemed to fly away, leaving her feeling oddly weightless, and she gripped the hand holding her, tightly, eyes wide. Her arms wrapped around a conveniently close thumb, and she held on for dear life, trying not to be as utterly terrified as she was.
Even as her mind struggled to keep up with what was going on around her, and the fact she and her baby brother were now in the grip of a once fictional being, Optimus began to move and Angel found herself gasping for breath, watching the world flying past her impossibly quickly.
Breathless and unable to really process what was going on, Angel decided that since her brother seemed entirely okay with just going with it, she'd take a page from his book. After all, he was right. They were in the middle of the battle of Mission City. Where was safer than in the hands of the good guys?
In this case, literally!
She watched as buildings flashed past. In the distance, she watched one building explode, the top half of it toppling over, as if in slow motion. She watched a series of jets flying overhead, spinning and veering and flipping, trying to avoid the missiles on their afts.
And then they were surrounded.
Angel found herself unceremoniously dumped on the ground, where she immediately collapsed onto her ass end next to her brother. They were surrounded by the familiar faces of Will Lennox, Bumblebee and Sam Witwicky, and the unfamiliar faces of five rather battered and breathless girls, two of which were currently wrist deep in the shattered ends of the yellow and black Scout's legs.
"Optimus! Finally!" A girl (No, woman, because she was definitely older than everyone else, though probably not by much) with shoulder length curls stepped forward. "We've been trying to find the other bots, but there's so many Decepticons around! Have you had any word? Are the others okay?"
He hummed lowly. "The Autobots are currently engaging the enemy, attempting to keep them away." He frowned at his fallen soldier. "Aww, Bumblebee." He crouched low, before seeming to notice the two girls buried in the little bot's legs, and...wait, was that a guilty look on his features? "Eliana Bennett and Erika Morgan, while I appreciate your assistance, you and your friends should be hiding. You are not safe out in the open." Then his gaze turned to the Allspark. "We must not allow the Decepticons to gain the Allspark. If we cannot defeat the Decepticons... I will merge the Cube with my sp-"
"No-"
"Like hell!"
Ever seen a great and regal Autobot leader jump?
Angel's jaw dropped and she turned in horror to her brother, who was glaring up at the entirely startled Autobot leader. "Alexander Gregory Cross!" With her jaw swaying in the breeze, Angel found herself not entirely certain what she should be more horrified by; The fact her little brother had just cursed, or the fact he'd just cursed at a massive metal being that could squash him like a bug if he so chose.
Judging by the look on his face, Alex either didn't notice or didn't care.
He glared up at the tall bot angrily. "You're not dying today, so suck it up buttercup and go kick some Decepticon aft!"
Angel's eye twitched. My brother has a death wish...
For a moment it was like the war was miles away. Everything seemed to fade to near silence as the group stared at the teen boy who...pretty much just put the Autobot leader in his place. Even the two girls working on Bee had stopped to watch the show! Then there was a loud snort and the siblings turned to find the girl with the shoulder length curls snickering at the two of them.
"Oh, I like him! Can we keep him?"
Angel blinked and raised an eyebrow. "I don't know if you can keep up with him. He's a purebred pain in the aft-"
"Hey!"
"-and has a talent for getting himself and everyone around him in trouble." Then she did a second double take, looked around, stared at Optimus, turned to Bee, turned to the Allspark, turned to Sam and Lennox, and finally turned back to Bee. "Wait... This is... You're... You... He-He said..." Without even looking, she pointed to where Optimus had crouched and drawn a Cybertronian pistol out of...well, seemingly his ass, before she cocked her head to the side. "Oh, I need to sit down."
And she did.
She plopped down on the ground, staring up at Bee's face, which was (incidentally) now hovering pretty much over hers, and blinked rapidly, blankly at him.
Then she giggled.
"Holy crap, it's Bumblebee and Optimus Prime!"
Alex frowned at his sister. "Uh, sis? You okay?"
She took one look at the Cube, turned to her brother, and pointed to it. "Allspark!"
"Annnnd I'm having creepy flashbacks to the first time I was dribbled like a basketball by a Decepticon, so I'm just gonna...go back to fixing Bee?" The brunette girl up to her wrists in Bee's destroyed legs gave them a weird look, before turning away and seemingly going back to work.
"Hey! Wait a minute! You know who they are!" Blondie, however, had gotten up and raced around the fallen bot to point at the siblings.
"Uh, yeah? So?"
"So? So you know who they are! You're Trans-fans too, right? The last two! That makes seven!" Abruptly, blondie picked up the Cube, turning to look at the others. "We can do what Primus wanted us to, now!"
Everyone kind of just fell silent...and stared.
"What?"
"Um, someone wanna fill the new kids in?"
"Alex? I'm not sure I can take much more."
"Primus spoke to Eliana and told her we all had to touch the Cube at the same time."
"...And who's 'Eliana'?"
"That'd be me." A pink-stained gloved hand rose as the brunette who was wrist deep in Bumblebee's legs finally pulled away and waved briefly. She had a distinctly overwhelmed look on her face, and wobbled noticeably when she stood, leaning heavily against Bee's body as she slowly made her way up the length of it, towards his head.
Bee whined and gave her a look, wrapping a hand around her frame to help brace her.
And she gave him a weak smile. "Thanks, sweet Bee."
Anytime, babe!
Angel's eyes snapped from Bee's hand to the pretty brunette encased inside his fingers, and then over to his face. Her eye twitched again, followed by the corner of her lip turning down, before the sound of a distant explosion and an approaching engine caught her attention and she turned to find an old tow truck racing up.
It squealed to a stop next to Bee, and the driver side door popped open. There the familiar form of Mikeala Banes hopped out, and she rounded the cab. She headed toward the group, before stopping cold and seemingly taking in the two newcomers. Her eyes danced over everyone, before she promptly made a face. "Let me guess, more 'Trans-fans'?" When several of the girls surrounding Bee nodded, she shook her head. "Oh, God, you really are multiplying!"
'Curly' laughed almost hysterically, earning her more than a few confused looks by terrified civilians rushing by, lost-looking soldiers and even Optimus Prime himself.
Mikeala watched her laugh a moment longer, before raising an eyebrow and pointing to the green-eyed blonde and the brunette in the pink-stained gloves. "Ooookay, then... Erika! Eliana! Come help me with the cables!" Then she looked at Bee and her features softened. "Bee, do you think you can pull yourself upright into a sitting position?"
Bumblebee whistled and nodded, glancing at Kathy and gently patting her back with a finger as Eliana wobbled over to the truck, before he began to push himself up with a series of whines, groans and grinding sounds, and she stepped back out of the way.
"So, uh... It's nice to meet you guys. I'm Alex, and that's my sister Angel." Alex rubbed a hand through his hair and made a face. "But, uh, what's going on?"
"We're in the middle of a war!" Angel finally managed to push herself up.
"I know that! I mean... I thought the Autobots were supposed to be fictional. Since when do they exist? And who're you guys?"
"Okay, Trans-fan four-one-one." Eliana moved forward with the other girls, staring at the newcomers. "We all got pieces of the Allspark in various accessories, wished Transformers to be real, and got sucked into this universe. From what I understand, Primus brought us here because our wishes weren't just passing fancies. We want to help the bots, protect them and save them and what not. So yeah. Here we are! Seven of us." She then turned and began pointing each girl out. "Erika, Kathy, Tina, Zayda and me, Eliana. Oh! And he said when we had all seven of us, we needed to touch the Allspark at once. Hell if I know why, but it's Primus!" She shrugged.
Then everyone shrieked and ducked as an explosion rang out a few buildings down and debris flew through the air. Abruptly, Bumblebee shrieked out and fell from his pushed up position, grabbing every human in his reach and tucking them under his body, using himself as a shield.
"O-Oh! Oh yeah! A-And there's a fragging war going on!" Blondie, aka 'Erika', shivered and stared down the street with wide green eyes.
"Whatever you're going to do, you'd better do it soon!" And suddenly Sideswipe was only a few feet away, looking a battered mess, but still standing tall. "We can't hold off the Decepticons forever! Megatron's kicking our afts!"
"I still don't know what it is you expect us to do!" Angel stood next to her brother, glaring at the others. "You're telling me we got dragged into the Transformers universe because we bought Matrix accessories?" Then she seemed to take a double take, frowning as her eyes took on a distant look. "But...that would explain why they disappeared with the fandom..."
"Holy crap! Primus brought us here! I'm totally Geeking out here!" Alex, unlike his sister, couldn't seem to stop grinning. "So what do you need us to do?"
"Alex!"
Erika held up the Cube she still held. "Well, Primus told us to touch the Cube, so..." She held it out.
"But we don't know what'll happen if we do!"
"But it's Primus! It's not Galvatron, Unicron, or The Fallen, or any of them big baddies. This is the dude that watches over the Autobots and guides them! If there's anyone to trust... And I mean, he did bring us here, right?" She hefted the Allspark almost teasingly.
"Why are you so gung ho about us all touching the Allspark?" Eliana crossed her arms over her chest. "They're right that we don't know what'll happen if we do, and I mean... I'm happy to be here! It's so freaking awesome to meet the bots, but-"
"Hey! You wished we were triple changers! Maybe this'll make it happen!"
"And then what? We go on the run from our own damn Government for the rest of our unnatural lives?"
Watching the group bicker, Angel stayed near her brother. She kept a hand wrapped around the back of his shirt and looked around at the wreckage around them. Bodies littered the streets. Bots darted in and out of connecting streets, battling other bots. As Bee lifted off them and resumed trying to get on the truck, with the help of Sam and Mikeala, her attention turned back to the other girls, who couldn't seem to make up their mind about whether or not doing what 'Primus' told them to was such a good idea.
Okay, I can handle weird. I am related to this little troublemaker, but...this...this is a bit too weird! She glanced down the street once more, watching a building in the distance go up in an unbelieveable explosion of fire, before it toppled over sideways, taking out a helicopter that had been flying low along the street. Maybe we should run. Subway is starting to sound real good right about now.
"The Cube made Sam bonkers in the second movie!"
"Wait, what?"
Angel turned back to the show as Sam froze, staring at the girls with a horrified expression.
"That was only because the Matrix chose him to find it, and that was after the fact! He held the Cube in the first movie and it didn't do shit to him!"
"But if Primus told us to touch the Cube, then something's gonna happen!"
"Whoa! Back up! Can we go back to the part where 'it made Sam bonkers'?"
Again, everything seemed to go quiet. Sam was glaring at the Cube like it was the source of all his woes. And at the moment, he wasn't entirely wrong! At his side, Mikeala had stepped back from him and seemed to shift her gaze from the Cube, to the boy, to the teens and the bots. You could tell from her expression that she wasn't sure what to think or do. There wasn't anyone in a five mile radius who could blame her, either, all things considered. But then she got this determined look on her face, seemed to square her shoulders, reached out and grabbed a handful of Sam's shirt sleeve (causing the poor, startled boy to let out yet another girlie shriek) and dragged him off to help her finish hooking Bee up.
"Hey! Maybe we can get answers as to why you turned your cell phone into a sparkling, and Kathy healed Sunstreaker!"
"Wait what?" Alex perked up, causing Angel to tighten her grip on his shirt. "You guys get super powers?! That's so cool!" Then he turned to his sister. "Do we get super powers?"
Of cours! We're in the middle of an alien war, and that's what my dearest brother chooses to focus on!
"Why not? I mean we were chosen by Primus, right?" Erika grinned, though she didn't look entirely certain.
BOOM!
Another explosion rang out, followed by shrieks, groaning and grinding of metal as Sideswipe and Sunstreaker were blown through a nearby building, followed by a flier type Decepticon a split second later.
"Sunny! Sides!" Tina jerked, eyes wide, as Kathy gasped and clapped her hands over her mouth.
"Okay, fuck this!" Erika jerked upright and glared around. "We're sitting in the middle of a warzone debating! It's time to make a decision! Do we trust Primus and try to help our bots before someone gets offlined, or do we sit on the sidelines like a bunch of chicken shits?!" She held up the cube with one hand strategically placed under it, glaring at everyone with a look that dared them to reach out and touch it.
Things were exploding.
Bots were being blown apart.
People were dying.
War was waging on around the group, but instead of running and screaming, despite their obvious unease, the girls were oddly brave. Or, maybe just distracted. Or focused. The point was, they weren't freaking out like all the others. It was a bit odd. Especially when Angel noted the pang of curiosity eating at her stomach as she stared at the bronzed, rune-covered Cube only a few feet in front of her.
Her fingers twitched, and as if Alex was secretly psychic, he chose that exact moment to pull away. Even as the girl with the shoulder length curls, and the one with the blonde hair and brown eyes reached out, each putting a hand on one of the unoccupied faces of the Cube, she watched in frozen horror as her brother nabbed another face for himself.
"Alex!"
He turned to look at her, looking almost startlingly serious. "We wished to be here, right? We wanted to be able to help the bots, and whether this is a crazy dream or not, we can finally do it! Come on, sis! You can't tell me you're not intrigued!"
"This isn't a game!"
As she watched, Eliana reached a shaking hand out, her fingers hesitating millimeters from the Cube's surface, before she sighed loudly and rested her hand flat against yet another empty face.
Then the girl with the longer, curly brown hair stepped forward. "I... I don't know what to think about all this, but... I want to be able to protect my family. If the bots lose, the Decepticons will win and all our families will be either enslaved or destroyed." She reached out a hand and placed it on the last unclaimed face.
Then everyone turned to Angel.
Angel stared them all down, glared at her troublemaking brother, and then groaned and shook her head. I can't let him go alone. She stepped forward and took a moment to realize there wasn't a free face left. Didn't she say Primus said seven were chosen. But there's only six faces to the Cube! Then, realizing she was trying to rationalize the utter insanity around her, she huffed and placed her hand over Alex's, letting her fingertips brush against the Cube itself.
A movement out of the corner of her eye caught her attention, and Angel turned towards it, even as she pressed her hand firmly against the side of the Cube. There were shouts, and she watched Bee raise a hand that had turned into a glowing cannon.
But her attention was drawn by several sharp looking points coming her way.
A claw.
A Decepticon's claw.
Barricade was coming at them!
Suddenly, there was a bright flare of light and heat.
Note : Alex and Angel both belong to Alice Gone Madd, and the holoform described for Optimus is Karl Urban (albeit a younger version). These are the last 'main character' OCs being introduced. Any others are just background characters like Joe and Matty and Bitchum.
