'Vlad knows I'm Danny Fenton.' That thought occupied me for the rest of the day. What was he up to? Was he planning to tell my parents? Does he think I somehow faked my death and don't want anyone to know I'm still alive? Will he blackmail me by threatening to tell my parents? If he did, if they found out, what would they think? Would they get mad for not telling them earlier? Would they just not believe it at all and think I'm evil because I take the form of their dead son? But, what if I explained? That I came from another world, and that the portal didn't kill me, but gave me my powers instead? Wouldn't that just make them happy? If I could alleviate their grief, even just a little bit, then isn't that exactly what I should do?

No. I can't stay here, it'll only make my return so much more painful for them if they know who I really am. I cannot let them find out, ever. After a whole night of being troubled over so many questions, and not getting a single wink of sleep, I had finally made up my mind. I could never let my parents, or Sam, Tucker and Jazz for that matter, know I'm Danny Fenton.

"It's funny... I used to hide the fact I was Danny Phantom from them, and now it's the other way around," I told no one in particular as I stared at the ceiling of the guest bedroom. I yawned. That counts one more night without sufficient sleep. I would've gone back to sleep if it wasn't for the digital alarm clock telling me it was really time to get up now, before someone decided to wake me up. I threw the covers away and forced my body out of bed. I phased out of the pajamas I'd borrowed from Vlad (By lack of anyone with a posture closer to mine) and changed into my uniform. Once again, I couldn't help but admire how well it was made.

I entered the dining room, and was met with the sweet scent of a home-made breakfast. I took a deep breath, and noticed I was suddenly a lot hungrier than five seconds ago. I took the same place as yesterday at the table where my father and Vlad were already sitting.

"Ah, Maddie. Nothing smells so good in the morning as your home-made cooking..." Vlad commented. Apparently I wasn't the only one captivated by the sweet fragrance that came from the kitchen part of the room.

"Oh, thank you Vlad," my mother told him with a big smile. "It's almost ready." I decided to ignore the flirtatious looks Vlad was sending her, and shifted my gaze to my father. He seemed to be playing with one of his inventions.

"What's that?" I asked him. He quickly looked up, obviously happy with the sudden interest in his work.

"I'm fixing the Fenton Cellphone so we can contact you after you go into the Ghost Zone! I'm so thrilled we can finally finish our baby!" That last part didn't seem to be directed at me. He then went back to his invention, and I went back to waiting for breakfast. Just as I wanted to turn around and check how Mom was doing, she entered my vision as she leaned over me to lay the table. Where'd my personal space go?

After she was done, she turned over to me. "Good morning! How's your wound?" Well, the fact that I completely forgot about must be a good sign. I lay my hand over my stomach to check how I was doing, but couldn't even find the wound in the first place.

"I think it's completely healed already. That stuff is amazing, what is it?" Mom smiled.

"Thank you! I designed it, and I'm glad it works." She took a small tube out of the pocket attached to her belt. "Here, you should take some with you."

"Thanks." She handed me her wonder medicine, whatever it was, and resumed to put breakfast on the table. Even at home, it was rare for her to actually make breakfast, I usually just ate cereal. I thanked whatever divine force out there for this small miracle, and started eating.

"I feel like I can never get enough of the taste of your cooking, Maddie..." Vlad still wasn't done hitting on her.

"Thanks Vlad! Again..." She wanted to start eating, but stopped just before she put the first bite in her mouth. "Jack, put that thing away, we're eating." Dad looked up, and apparently noticed just now that breakfast was already served. He dropped his machine, proceeded to eat so quickly he finished everything in a matter of seconds, and went back to fixing the phone.

"Jack!"

"Leave him be, Maddie. The sooner he's done, the sooner Daniel here can get us our orbs." Vlad reminded me of my nightly worries when he called my name, causing me to almost choke on my food. After a severe coughing fit, and an entire glass of water, I analyzed my parents' faces, trying to find out whether or not Vlad had told them anything, or if they figured anything out. I was met with three worried and slightly shocked faces.

"Are you alright?" Vlad was the first to break the silence. Figures I just surprised them with my sudden fit of coughing.

"Yeah, I'm fine..." I pretended to go back to eating my breakfast, but I couldn't let it go. Had Vlad told my parents anything? Should I confront him about it when we're alone? But what should I say to him? 'I know you don't trust me, and I can't explain why but I can't let my parents know I'm alive, so please keep my secret for me'? After all the things I accused him of? No way he would listen to me.

"Is something the matter?" I noticed I'd been staring at him when he brought my attention back to the dining room. He studied with red eyes and his usual stern expression, waiting for my answer. I averted my eyes and mumbled a 'no, nothing', and luckily he seemed to buy it, or at least pretended to.

"It's done!" Dad suddenly screamed while holding a high-tech cellphone-shaped invention in the air.

"That's grea-" I was cut off when he brutally shoved the cellphone in my face.

"This is the button for a regular phone call, and this is the one for an inter-dimensional one. It's only connected to our phone, so you don't have to dial a number. We can't reach you, so keep it turned off when you're not using it, we don't have another set of batteries. And call us regularly, Vladdie seems really upset about leaving this to you."

I smiled. "Got it."

Not much later, I was in ghost form standing in the parking lot together with my parents and Vlad. I was handed over my backpack, packed with the cellphone, the medicine and lunch.

"Well, I guess that's everything."

"Wait, there's one more thing you need." Dad pulled another invention out of who-knows-where, and a smile of ecstasy grew on my face.

"The Fenton Thermos!" A pair on confused stares were directed at me. "I heard about this from my friends in the army," I quickly added. Oh, how I'd missed this. I'm never going to another dimension without this again.

"If you're all set, can we get this started already?" Vlad asked with his arms folded.

"Sure." Vlad snapped his fingers, and his ghost assistant appeared next to him. Then he walked up to me and leaned over to bring his face closer to mine. "If you try anything funny, she will let me know immediately."

"Now who's not being trusted?" I hissed. Then, I turned to my parents. "Don't worry, I will get the Blood Orbs and bring them to you." I floated next to the ghost girl, and when she confirmed I was ready, took off into the sky. I followed her and yelled one more goodbye to my parents before turning my back to the company. I caught up with the ghost girl.

"So, how are we gonna get into the Ghost Zone?"

"Just follow me."

For a few more minutes, we kept flying in silence. The landscape had changed into forests with mountains, but nothing I recognized. I looked over at the ghost girl, and decided I might as well start a conversation.

"What's your name anyway?"

"Master Plasmius calls me Femmy."

"Why did you disguise yourself as a human?"

"Our company often gets visitors from ghost-hunting organizations."

"How did you mask yourself from my ghost sense?"

"Our visitors have a lot of scanners. Master Plasmius gave me a device to hide my ghostly aura."

"How did you and Vlad meet?"

"You ask a lot of questions, don't you?"

"Sorry." So much for getting to know her. Well, she seems like a good person, and at least I know her name.

"We've arrived." I separated my gaze from Femmy, and looked to the ground. The forest was gone, and in its place stood an impressively huge mansion. Of course, this was Vlad's mansion in Wisconsin, with his ghost portal. Though it was a little different from what I remembered, in the sense that it was quite overgrown and seemingly abandoned. We landed, and I followed Femmy as she phased through the door, and then through the floor.

We ended up in Vlad's secret lab in the basement. From what I'd seen, this was the only room that didn't look abandoned. Vlad and my parents must still be using this room to access the ghost zone. Without saying anything to me, Femmy walked up to some sort of control panel, and after typing something, which probably was a password, Vlad's ghost portal opened its doors to reveal a swirling, green mass. I took a careful step in the portal's direction, but was grabbed by the wrist by my companion. I turned around.

"If you do something even the tiniest bit suspicious, I can tell Master Plasmius through telepathy faster than you can silence me."

"Don't worry, I won't do anything like that. You can trust me."

She ignored my response. "If you understand, then let us go." We both entered the portal, but were abruptly stopped when a giant football suddenly appeared before us. I violently shoved it aside, and took in my surroundings to try and determine which way the Far Frozen were.

"It's been a while since I've been home," Femmy suddenly said. "We should probably test Master Fenton's invention before we go any further."

"Right." I phased my hand into my backpack, and pulled out the Fenton Cellphone. I remembered the explanation my father had given me, and called the DALV company. After ringing a few times, it sounded like it had connected.

"Hello? Can you hear us?"

"Spirits and specters, it's working! Mads! It's working! The Fenton Cellphone is WORKING!"

"That's great, Jack! I knew you could do it!"

"We should celebrate this! I'll get the checkerboard!"

"Jack, give me that!" I could hear Vlad snatch the phone from my father's hands. "I assume you've arrived in the Ghost Zone?"

"Yes, we just entered through the portal."

"Great. I expect another call when you've got the map." Without saying so much as goodbye, Vlad ended the call. I phased the phone back into my backpack and sighed. Vlad would never change.

"Let's not waste any time. Which way is it?" Femmy asked me. Yes, which way was it?

"Uhmm, it's... this way, I think," I stumbled, and took off in the direction I thought the Far Frozen were. Femmy followed me.

"You do not sound very certain."

"Well, I don't usually enter the Ghost Zone through Vlad's portal," I told her, searching for some kind of landmark. Finding my way through this part of the Zone was bad enough in my own world, but to make it worse the Ghost King had moved quite a lot of stuff around to make his big island where almost every ghost lived.

I got lucky, it didn't take very long for me to find a landmark and figure out which way Frostbite lived. Even luckier was the fact that we didn't encounter a single ghost on our way. I spotted the snow cave leading to the Realm of the Far Frozen, and made a sudden dive for it.

"This way!" My companion was obviously startled, and had to come to a halt before she could follow me. She shivered at the sudden cold.

"Are you cold?" I asked her. She didn't answer, and I shrugged. I could see the end of the cave, and stopped when we entered the land of snow of ice. I couldn't see anyone, or anything, besides snow, it was truly an endless sea of white.

"Now which way do we go?" Femmy asked cynically.

"Uhm... I think it's..."

"Halt!" Two yeti's appeared out of nowhere before us. Seems like they had been invisible until just a moment ago.

"State your name!" they demanded, while threatening us with some kind of spears they were holding. Femmy switched into battle mode, and challenged them with her eyes. No, this wasn't going the way it was supposed to go. I jumped before Femmy, and lifted both my hands above my head, showing the yeti's I meant to do them no harm.

"My name is Danny Phantom. I would like to speak with your leader." They looked at each other for a moment, then nodded, and looked back to me. Were they gonna take me to Frostbite?

The next moment I was grabbed from behind, turned intangible and was dragged a few yards back, and saw I had only evaded an ice blast from the yeti's by a hair.

"Get out of here, before we obliterate you," one of the snow monsters told us, while pointing his spear at us.

"You don't understand! We're not here to fight, we only want to talk!" Again, I was pushed aside by Femmy after an ice blast was fired at me.

"This will not work," she whispered. "Where is that map, we have to steal it."

"No!" I screamed at her. I had to get them to listen to me. I faced the yeti's as they were getting ready to fire again. They shot, and I guarded with a shield of ice. This surprised them, and they dropped their weapons.

"Please, I need to talk to Frostbite." They looked at each other, discussing with their eyes whether or not they should trust the stranger who knew not only how to use ice powers, but also the name of their leader. Hopefully they'd come to the conclusion I'd met Frostbite before, and was thus not an enemy.

"Follow us."
