One thing after another
Glaring at the ceiling as he laid on the floor, Hikaru grumbled something that was rather similar to a curse word as he texted his brother..
Hikaru scowled irritably at the screen of his cellphone, looking through all his recent text messages he had on there.. Not once did he ever recall Kaoru ever telling him that he had a girlfriend..
The last girl he ever talked about was a girl he met and her dog almost ran him over, and he said he had no idea who she was.
For some reason Hikaru felt vary lied to, and while that was almost three months ago, he never thought Kaoru would be that much of a player to have just broken up with Kazumi then all of a sudden he has this new girl.
Shaking out weird thoughts from his brain Hikaru glanced over towards Haruhi who was sitting on the long chair, with her head facing down on her folded arms that rested on the soft cushioned arm of the couch.. Her brown locks fell messily over her shoulders as she breathed.
She hadn't ben feeling all that great ever since she woke up.. He was pretty sure it was just some pregnancy stuff the woman go through just go a excuse to yell at their husbands.. Hikaru didn't like it.. Especially when ever he tried to feel her forehead, and she would just swat his hand away.
"Haruhi?" Hikaru asked calmly. Laying his head down on his hands as he laid on the floor, sense he just felt so comfortable there, he didn't really bother to get up and sit next to her on the couch. "...What time is it?"
Haruhi moaned out quietly to show that she wasn't all that pleased that she had to lift her head up and actually move.
She blinked her half-lidded eyes as she lifed her heavy head up and looked over at the table, where she remembered seeing her husband take his watch off and had set it down on there last night after they had the strangest cuddle session on the couch.
She blinked and leaned over to it, with her hand not moving away from her large belly.. She sighed heavily as she grabbed onto Hikaru's digital watch he uses for casual use, (Only wear's his expressive gold, analog watch when ever he's anywhere out in public, cause looking down at the little hands always gave his a headache trying to figure out what time it said)
"Its almost nine thirty," she sighed lightly, blinking at it and carefully set it back down on the table before bringing up her body back onto the couch, where she settled back down into the cushions. . Taking a deep breath of relief once she wasn't putting pressure on her stomach anymore.. "You should be getting ready for work."
"Probably," Hikaru grumbled, and sat up straight.. Not really wanting to go to work that day he sighed and scrambled to get up on his feet lazily.. Putting his knuckles behind his back, pressing on it until it cracked. Then stepped over to Haruhi who still didn't look too good.
"Hey Haru-darling?" He pouted at her poor looking state. "Your super pale, you okay?"
"Fine."
"Really? you kinda look like the undead... But not."
"Well excuse a pregnant woman for looking tired after no sleep in three days." Haruhi snapped with attitude. Scrunching up her face stubbornly as she laid her head down on her arms again. Looking away from his suspicious look.. "Go get dressed, and don't forget your coat."
It was somewhat true that Haruhi looked liked a zombie, with her skin as white as the drywall and dark bags hanging under her eyes like grapes.. She even felt like zombie. . But she wasn't about to admit that to him.
Hikaru narrowed his brow and puckered out his lips in suspicion. . Crossing his arms over his chest as he looked down at her, her face pillowed on her forearms comfortably. Avoiding his gaze on purposely.. He watched as she just sat there quietly, as if she had completely forgotten he was there.
He looked over at the table, looking at all the job interview papers she had there.. They stayed up pretty late last night looking for a new law firm for her to work for, once she quit her job in the last building, she instantly got suggested for quite a bit that were looking for a lawyer with such skills.
Then after the thoughts of their children being sexy geniuses, Hikaru smirked to himself and looked back over at her.
"No need to get all touchy Haru, sheesh... You just-... Why are you sitting here instead of laying in bed if your tired?" he asked, a small chuckle in his throat as he glanced down at her half lidded brown eyes once she looked at him. "Are you sure your fine? you look sort of... ill?"
Haruhi grunted, annoyed. Scrunching up her nose stubbornly, and rubbed the side of her head, trying to rid it of its sudden, shocking migraine. "I said I'm fine, stop bugging me and go to work before your late." She swatted his had away as he tried to touch her forehead.
"But-"
"I just told you, I didn't get enough sleep last night... You try being six months pregnant."
Hikaru continued to give her an unconvinced scowl, narrowing one eye and raising the other, he sighed again at her difficultness and massaged the side of his nose near his eye. Blinking away any left over weariness from just waking up two hours ago..
"Like I said Haruhi, he huffed, "Go back to sleep, your not going to like it when you fall flat on your face later trying to make dinner."
"Your actually going to let me make dinner tonight?"
"Well no, but knowing you, you probably wont listen to me and do it anyway."
Her eyes took longer to open when she blinked. Her arms were cold but her cheeks felt hot when her rested her face on her hand, though she refused to even think of thee idea she was in any way shape or form, ill.
Hikaru rolled his eyes half way and grabbed her busy hand in his, causing her to fidget but he ignored that, and before she could resist and pull herself away from him again, he slammed a hand down on her forehead. . Smirking at her small surprised yelp she let out when he did so.
"Haruhi, your burning up," he pointed out. Moving his hand from her forehead, to her cheek, feeling it with the back of his palm. "Is that from lack of sleep too?"
"Leave me alone," she grunted, jerking her face away from his hands reach, and sat up correctly. Blinking away her wavy vision as she rubbed the bridge of her nose by her eye. "The rooms just hot... It happens."
Hikaru raised his brow and took his hand and felt his won forehead, feeling no different then yesterday and just to be a smart ass.. Then sighed and looked back at to her, using a finger to flip her bangs out of the way of her face.. Tracing his thumb around her hairlines. "If it's just the room, how come your the only one sweating?"
He smirked at her blank look and poked her nose.
"Its called pregnancy sensitivity."
"...I don't think that's a thing, Haru."
"Have you ever ben pregnant?"
Hikaru scrunched up his nose. "No Haruhi...I don't think I have."
Haruhi scooted away from him and played with the hem of her light blue hoodie.. She blinked confused and slowly sat up, making Hikaru flinch and move a little to help her get up, but she stayed there and just slowly pulled it off, one arm at a time, then promptly threw her jacket into her husbands hands, making Hikaru rather confused.
Hikaru stared at her jacket that was on in his hands and just tossed it off to the side of then couch like a piece of trash and crossed his arms childishly as he tapped his foot impatiently against the hard polished wood.. Waiting for a reaction from the stubborn pregnant woman.
Haruhi was about to turn around and grab a book she had sitting next to her, but as soon as she made a movement to reach from it, it was suddenly plucked away from her grasp.. And was replaced with a pair of golden eyes, that looked at her intently with a perturbed scowl.
She had the urge to kick him in the shin, but while she had just developed that thought and tried to make a move to do so, Hikaru moved away and stood above her, glancing towards different directions.
"Fine, I don't know what made you so stubborn lately," Hikaru sighed and stuck his hands in his pockets, "but i don't like it... Kimiko~!"
Haruhi blinked, moving her hand over her stomach as Hikaru shouted out one of their maids names.. And after just a few moments, some ruffling came from the direction of the kitchen and their youngest maid, who was still four years older than Hikaru, came into the room.. The skirt of her uniform swishing as she trotted in there with them.
"Yes Mr. Hitachiin~?" Kimiko bowed professionally, had just came from the kitchen helping out the chef cook lunch, she had a bit of flour on her top, and her hair was pulled up into a black shiny bum. "You called?"
Haruhi blinked.
"Yes!" Hikaru gasped dramatically and pointed a accusing finger towards her as he turned to her and sighed.. "Take this woman upstairs, and make sure she doesn't try to come down by herself while I'm gone.. And uh... What ever that disgusting tea is."
"Herb tea sir?"
"Yes! that, and get what ever you think she'll want even if she doesn't ask for it, because we all know how she is." Hikaru continued wisely. Glaring back over at Haruhi over his shoulder, as if he was checking to see if she was still there, and hadn't ran away.
"Of course sir," she nodded and walked around Hikaru and stepped up to the couch where Haruhi was sitting, with her legs curled under her.. She looked up and down at the oblivious brunette and held out her hand. "Ma'am?"
Haruhi narrowed her eyes in annoyedly towards her husband and huffed a 'stupid husband' under her breath before she finally lifted her delicate hand up to grab the maids hand, but before she could do so, the maid gripped her hand first and carefully helped her up to her feet.
Giving a triumph smirk. Hikaru loosened the tension in his shoulders and grabbed his wife's other hand and helped her stand up next to him.. He grinned at her blank expression and brushed her bangs away from her face once again, and gave the maid and 'wait over there' look. Wrapping his arm securely around her large, no longer there, waist.
"I'll be going now Haruhi~" he informed cheerily. swooping down to brush his lips against hers, in a quick friendly kiss.. "Don't be a pest on the maids while I'm gone~"
"Your the pest," Haruhi finally grumbled though it sounded more like a pout.. "I don't need-"
Hikaru stopped her by putting a finger to her lips.
"I don't have to mention the time you slipped off the stairs when you said you didn't need my help," Hikaru shot down a knowing all grin. "Now, do I?"
Hearing her mutter nonsense under her breath where he couldn't hear. Hikaru ruffled up her hair the was on her head and slowly lowered his other hand to her bulbous stomach, keeping it there until he in deed, felt a small invisible foot kick up against his palm.
Hikaru smiled.
"Feeling a vary active baby move around.. Haruhi wrinkled her nose in awkwardness and laid a hand down on Hikaru's.. As if she planned on pulling him away, but didn't, and just rolled her eyes at his goofy grin.
"I put a live video camera up near the stairs," he cracked up randomly, entwining his fingers through hers like lace on the back of a corset, moving his hand he was using to ruffle her hair, up to the back of her neck and moved her forehead up closer to his, "so my plump little Tanuki," He added with a grin, "Don't try and go down them by yourself, I'll be watching you."
The edge of Haruhi's mouth turned right side up in a weird way and shot her head up to look at him in the face, her brown eyes wide and blinking at him confused. "You didn't really..." she paused, "Did you?"
"Dare to find out~?"
"...Not really."
Hikaru's chest filled up with obnoxious snickers but he hadn't let them out. He kept them in instead as he leaned down to kiss her again and brushed his finger tips up against her left cheek as he pulled away slowly, feeling the temperature of her face still a little too warm for comfort he sighed and stepped away from her. "Okay, I shall be back before dinner," he nodded. looking at her from a short distance. "If I come home and find you down stairs I-"
"Oh my freaking god, I've already learned from your two hour lecture last time," Haruhi rolled her eyes and turned him around, pushing on his back, as if she was trying to force him out the house. "Sheesh, I'll stay upstairs."
Hikaru shot her a grin from over his shoulder and laughed. "Promise?" he snickered, knowing for a fact that she wouldn't be able to live with herself if she broke a promise, though it was him... So who knows.
"No promises."
"Darn, I knew you would do that... Gosh your a pest."
"...Hikaru."
"Okay, okay fine," Hikaru sighed dramatically, throwing his hands up to show they he surrendered. Then spun on his heel and stepped over to the closet door to retrieve his coat and in a one swift motion, he tossed it over his shoulder and slipped both his arms into it.. Puffing up the collar and snapped it obnoxiously, just for a show..
He grabbed the handle to the front door and stuck out his tongue, childishly at his pregnant wife and snickered again.. "And if I just happen to be late by a hour or two, don't go into the kitchen and think I'm dead like last time."
"That was one time!" she pouted, having the maid walk over to her, and started to guide her to the steps, where she planned on helping her up every single one of them. "Prat."
Hikaru shook his head as he watched his heavily pregnant wife walk around, a careful hand to her large, six month and a half stomach.. He grinned mindedly to himself and cupped his hand over the side of his mouth, taunting teasingly with a mischievous grin. "Yeah, I love you too honey~"
Grumbling something that was strangely related to zebras and donuts, and his twin brother being both of them combined.. Hikaru cursed out his large cup of syrup infected coffee and was about to send Kaoru a text asking why he was so late for work.
After receiving a text message earlier that day, with Kaoru saying that he had a girlfriend now, Hikaru had got severely interested and now 'interested' was an understatement.. He was practically bouncing off the walls of his and his brothers work shop room, or a large room with a few desks, spinning office chairs, a hand full of naked mannequin's, and random colored cloth sample of different lengths thrown carelessly everywhere.
Its where they worked, it was messy and totally unapproved by the great Haruhi, but its were they worked.
Darn Kaoru for making him wait to hear news this important in person when he refused to talk about it over the phone.
Hmm... Good news, Refused to talk over the phone about it, him waiting in their work room for his brother to show up, and too much coffee.
Sounds almost like the day he told Kaoru that he was going to be an uncle.
Funny how things work.
Hikaru glared towards the ceiling, holding his cup of coffee up side down as he swayed in his office chair, moving it with his foot as he kicked the desk.. He had no idea what on earth his brother was taking so long to get there. . And wondered if it would be bad if he were to just go home.
Deep down inside, like, really, really deep inside. He still felt uneasy about leaving Haruhi with just a hand full of maids this morning, with her having a fever and all.. Or what he thought was a fever, even though she was completely fine yesterday, with bright eyes and rosy cheeks.
No wife, no brother.
Hikaru was irritated once again.
Not a surprise.
"Oh hello Hikaru~"
Hikaru blinked, stopping mid-spin as he heard someone greet him friendly from the door way, with a strangely familiar happy voice that brought it up.. He felt the edge of his upper lip twitch upwards in irritation and contemplated on ignoring that person who was standing there.. But decided not to.. Cause the person standing there wouldn't take a 'go away' from an answer.
"Mother," Hikaru replied wearily. Hoping the fake tiredness would make her go away, he didn't really have the patience for her right now, but somehow he knew that she wouldn't leave until he got what she came in there for.
Yazuha threw him a friendly smile as he turned around on his spinning office chair.. Her bright identical hair color went with her shiny gold eyes as she looked over at one of her sons. . Who only looked at her with a bored expression that seemed to dampen her mood.
"How was your trip to Greece~?" she finally said after waving his scowl off like a fly that had suddenly appeared in front of her face.. "I know it was almost three weeks ago but I completely forgot to ask you~"
"More work then it was worth," he replied gravely. Laying his cheek down on his fist as he rested his elbow on the desk. "And a total a waste of my time, why?"
"I just wanted to tell you that you handled it vary well~"
"You mean how I handled Kaoru almost getting engaged to his ex-girlfriend?"
"...Hmm... Why yes! what was her name?" Yazuha muttered, placing a finger to her chin as she stood there quiet a moment, Hikaru had the urge to tell her, but naw, "Uh... Kabuki, wasn't it?"
Hikaru smirked evilly and nodded turning around to start sketch a random puffy skirt that he was mentally imaging his Haruhi in. "Yeah... Something like that."
"Well anyway," she took a sharp breath through her nose and flapped her hand at him as if swatting away the subject they were just on. "How's Haruhi ben? I've heard carrying triplets is a lot of work, more then twins."
"She's stubborn difficult and a big pain in my ass," Hikaru sighed dramatically and practically threw down his pencil he was using turned around. to look at his mother who was still standing there as if she had no care in the world. "And I'm still convinced me and Kaoru are adopted.. and you just keep dying your hair to look like us."
"Well now, who can say~"
Nope, not adopted.
Hikaru rolled his eyes and huffed out his chest as a sign that he didn't want to talk about that anymore cause of its boringness.. Then turned back around to look at his random creations he had sprawled out across his rather colorful desk, and at the things he was imaging his plump little Haruhi wearing but he knew for a darn fact that she probably wouldn't even give any of the designs the time of day.
or even a blink for that matter without saying something like. 'hell no Hikaru'
Boo, she's mean.
"Any who~" Yazuha waved off yet another subject and moved on to another one completely difference like no body's business. "Where is your brother? I got the strangest text message from him this morning, it didn't make any sense... I mean look, he hardly spelt any words that right and its filled with a bunch of happy faces that strangely look like a man that's constipated."
Hikaru snorted, bemused at the fact that he probably got the same text message as his mother did.. Something was seriously wrong with his brother, and he wouldn't be surprised it fell out of bed and hit his head before texting them.. Which would explain his lack of proper grammar.
"I don't know," Hikaru finally sighed. "I was about to ask you the same thing I-"
Slam!
"I'm right here~! please, no flash photography, despite my awesomeness, I am delicate."
Hikaru and their mother blinked confused as a cheery someone came into the room, slamming the door into the wall as he made a dramatic entrance.. Which wasn't too normal for him it was usually the elder one who would go to such extent.
"Well its about time," Hikaru muttered irritably at his younger brother sudden appearance. "You git, your late." He accused violently blunt.
"I apologize brother, truly I do." Kaoru laughed airily, as if he wasn't really sorry at all for having a terrible knowledge of time that day. "I just got a little stuck in traffic is all, you know how it is?"
Hikaru raised his eyebrow at his little brother trot into the room and greet their mother as if she was his poker buddy, and threw his baggage onto his desk as he flopped himself onto a chair that was there.. "What the hell has you in such a chipper mood?"
Kaoru had to bite his bottom lip as he grinned, and started swaying himself on the chair with his foot grazing the shiny polished floor. "What? why are you looking at me like that?"
"Oh great," Hikaru whined childishly. Dropping his heads hard down on his desk as he put his hands down on the back of his head as if ashamed of something. "My little brothers on drugs, why? where did I go wrong?"
Kaoru grasped his coffee cup he came in with, with graceful fingers and started giggling like a crazy school girl the was witnessing Tamaki kissing Kyouya in a vary intimate way, and didn't bother to assure Hikaru that he wasn't on drugs.. Which worried the elder twin highly.
Deciding he it would be a good idea that he calm down a little. Kaoru took a deep breath and let out one last happy manly giggle and licked the rim of his plastic cup before take a small sip.
Yazuha slammed her fist against her open palm and came to a conclusion that was strangely relevant to what was at hand. "Ah, Kaoru's love struck~" she snickered as a bright flashy light blub could practically be seen above her head. "Its so cute."
Hikaru narrowed his eyes suspiciously at his twin and raised his head up off the desk, looking over towards his mirror image, and the only way to tell them apart at that moment, was that one of them was irritated and one was too happy for comfort.. "Kaoru?" He asked with his eyebrow raised, as if he was waiting for him to back their mothers assumption up with information.
Kaoru whipped around on his chair to look at his two family members who had suspicious looks on their faces and shot them a beaming grin that practically told everything. "Wow mother, you can see right through me, guess we're not adopted after all~"
"Why do you guys think your adopted?"
Hikaru shook his and completely ignored his mothers questions as if she hadn't even asked it in the first place and short out of his chair, stalking over to his little brother who, at the exact moment, turned his chair and ended up getting his face stuck inside brother hands.
Kaoru blinked in surprise and his grin disappeared and was replaced with a wide eyed expression.. Having his brother clamp both his hand on his cheeks. "Hello Hikaru~"
"You made out with someone," Hikaru accused positively narrowing his eyes. "Didn't you?"
Kaoru grinned. "Jealous bro~?"
Hikaru's face turned full horror as he looked upon his brothers mocking smirk.. Letting his hands fall to his sides he had the urge to laugh, but didn't. "So you weren't kidding you had a girlfriend, huh?"
Kaoru giggled again and it was his turn to grab his brother cheeks.. Rather forcefully as he leaned up and smashed his lips to Hikaru's left cheek. Making his shoulders flinch in surprise.
Yazuha then took this time to escape the room, in fear she may witness her two sons make out right in front of her, even if it was just a friendly kiss on ones cheek.
Kaoru laughed at his brothers expression and grinned madly at him.. Then after a long moment he threw his brothers face away and snickered. "Maybe," he said, just as his cheeks tinted pink from the memory of a few evenings ago.
"Your blushing like a freaking tomato, I feel like if you don't say something about this I'm going to explode."
"Oh? your interested?"
"Well, you did just kiss me."
"You liked it."
"Just get to the point."
Kaoru snickered at his twins blank look and swayed on his chair like a teenage girl with a crush on a school football player who barely gave her a wink. "Its nothing really worth mentioning brother, you don't know her~"
"What's her name?"
"Sparta."
"...Sparta?"
"What? No!" Kaoru gasped, concentrating on his cup of coffee more then the conversation that he didn't realized that he said the wrong name, and hurriedly stuttered out what was actually true and hoped his brother didn't think he was dating a guy. "I mean... Not Sparta, Suzuki I mean, her names Suzuki."
Hikaru scrunched up his face and stood up straight, putting his hands on his hips strangely like a woman and huffed out his chest full of hot air before bowling it at his brother, making his bangs flutter. "How come you never mentioned her before?" He asked irritably. Wondering why his brother always hid his love interests from him.
"I did mention her," Kaoru pouted out childishly. Popping out both his lips as if he was about to kiss something and swayed in his chair a little once again. "She's the one who owns the dog that almost ran me over a few months ago."
Hikaru glared at his in suspicion and slowly back away a little more from him and sat down in his own chair the was there and rummaged through his papers until he found a pile of designs he wasn't all to familiar wit hand held them up curiously. finding that most of them were plaid featured that had his twins sketch technique.
And with plaid being out of style.. He wasn't even going to ask about them and just tossed them to the side, and continued on with his doodles of their grand mother as a marshmallow.
Hikaru snickered and glanced over his shoulder and witnessed his little Kaoru daydreaming as he poked and scratched at his notebook. "Whatever Romeo," he rolled his eyes and chuckled. "Just get back to work."
"I am," Kaoru assured in a light sigh . His happy hyper'nees quickly gone from his system as he blinked at his empty paper and laid a cheek down on his fist.
"Kaoru?"
"Yes~?"
"Your dating a commoner," Hikaru muttered as he turned back to his little brother. "Aren't you?"
"Why Hikaru," Kaoru snickered, assumed. "What gave you that idea?"
"Because snot nose rich girls scare you."
Kaoru snorted out as he took another sip of his syrup infected coffee and grinned to himself as he began to rough sketch a cowboy hat, "I never knew I was so predictable."
Glaring irritably at the front mirror of his blue Vorsteiner. Hikaru grumbled something about difficult sick wife's and stupid people who think its okay to stop in the middle of the road and take a quick phone break, and hog up traffic.
It was only four pm when Hikaru got a call from one of their maids from home, who were calling from the house phone to tell him that Haruhi's fever unfortunately got worse while he was at work.. Which was just his luck.
Throwing off his seat belt, he cursed out the door of his car and stepped out with one swift movement.. Slammed it shut then stalked over towards the large house that was at the end of the drive way.
Leaving his bag and everything thing in it, in the car. Hikaru narrowed his eyes half way and grumbled foul words that shouldn't be mentioned in front of children and stuck one hand in his pocket as he walked up the steps of the house and reached from the door. But before he could wrap his hand around the doorknob. It suddenly swung open.
Blinking with his hand still raised to turn the knob that was no longer there, he was greeted by a worried face of one of their three maids. "Mr. Hitachiin," she smiled through her uncomfortable'ness.. "Mrs. Hitachiin is upstairs, sir."
Good, she better be.
Hikaru nodded and stomped past her, and after dragging himself up the stairs and across the second floor hall, and nodded to another maid who had scattered out of the door, Hikaru bit his lips as he carefully creaked open the door to his and Haruhi's room, trying not to wake her up if she were sleeping.
He poked his head in and sighed when he noticed a lump in the blankets on the bed.
Smirking slightly to himself, he tiptoed his hard shoes against the floor, silently making his way over to his supposedly sleeping wife.
He leaned down next to the side of the bed, pressing his hands down next to her.. He smiled warmly and ran a hand over her leg through the think blanket. Looking down at her sleeping face.
Hikaru lightly brushed away her bangs and placed his large hand on the center of her forehead, just as he did earlier.. Though this time she seemed to be a lot hotter now, like her forehead was attempting to set his hand on fire..
Which he didn't think was vary good.
Raising a suspicious eyebrow at her hair that was sticking to the side of her face like glue from damp sweat.. Though once he pulled the blanket a little ways down from her face he noticed that she was damp with sweat from her face to her chest.
Why are you wearing a blanket? you dummy. He mused and shook his head while narrowing his eyes in confusion and disbelief.. When the maids said that she had a fever he didn't think it would be this hot. Sheesh.
Her cheeks were dark red ad she was breathing harshly rom her mouth. she looked hot and miserable.. He wanted to turn the thermostat down, until he remembered seeing from the hall the it was sixty degrees in their room.
Finally moving his hand away from her forehead he sighed and wiped his palm on his shirt.. He examined her from a few inches away, wiping away a drop of more sweat from below his eye with his thumb.. He wasn't really sure what to do with her.. The room was chilly, which was why he was still wearing his jacket, but her body was blazed with heat, like there was some sort of aura around her making her be like that.
He pulled the blanket all the way down and threw it aside.. He was then greeted with his Haruhi who was wearing a spaghetti strapped tank-top and short black shorts. Totally different from what she was wearing earlier in the day.
She must be in pretty deep sleep He sighed. Watching her twitch at the sudden cold draft she caught when he threw the blanket off her.. Though strange, she didn't move anymore then a small flinch and gave off a small moan.
Rubbing her cheek with the back of his hand and throwing a lock of hair off her shoulder, he felt bad for not being Kyouya, who knew everything. Cause Hikaru felt a little lost.
"Hey, Haruhi?" he asked softly. Laying his other hand on her arm, shaking her lightly.. He didn't want to wake her up, though it was probably a good idea that he do. "Honey, wake up."
Her grip on the pillow suddenly got tighter as she scrunched up her face almost in pain. Her eyes twitched a bit as if they were trying to fight to stay closed. . Though after a moment, she stopped all movement and totally blew off his light shaking like a fly.
Looking down at her a little perturbed. He gave a small squeeze to he arm and rubbed his thumb in slow circles on her bare skin. . Waiting for a response.
"Your burning up," He pointed out the obviously to her sleeping form.
After nothing from her, he sighed then gave up.. Trying to figure out a way to wake her up that wouldn't involve him making her angry. Oh what to do, what to do.
He stood up straight and felt goose bums on her arms now as he touched them lightly with gentle strokes.. Popping out his bottom lip at how she looked. Then suddenly felt a light bulb pop up above his head as he though of an idea.
He smirked and managed to resist a evil laugh.. But then that plan had the future of ending terrible for him.
Shrugging his shoulders and not caring that he could catch what ever it was that she had this time, and just leaned down and kissed her anyway. Right on the mouth.
No one said he was smart.
Feeling slightly insulted when he pulled away that Haruhi didn't even stir from the kiss, he dropped his eyes and blinked in dismay. "Haruhi, come on get up." He stood again and folded his arms over his chest.
Rolling his eyes he sighed as in clue that he wanted to face palm, and unfolded his arms and put his hands on his hips.. Sure he could always just shake her, blow in her face, flick her in the forehead.. There were plenty of ways to wake her up.
But come one now, he was mean but not that mean.
"Who wants chocolate~!?" He exclaimed in fake excited'ness.. Grining at the fact that the pregnancy made her crave chocolate randomly.
Though his sudden out burst of chocolate didn't work.. She barely moved, just flinched and clenched her eyelids.
He could always throw a pillow at her and give her chocolate afterwards to apologize.
Suddenly remembering that he had important accounts he needed to fill out that he left in his car. Hikaru sighed again and rolled his eyes.
"Alright fine you win." His voice strained as he leaned down and curled one arm under her neck and the other under her knees, picking her up bridal style.. Careful with her as he held her close to her chest.
Taking her down stairs would probably be a better idea then throwing a pillow at her.. And he didn't want to leave her up there alone with her like this.
He scowled at her as she started fidgeting and rubbing her face in his shirt. "Hey, if you keep squirming I'm going to drop you." He warned, and if she was awake and heard him; she stopped.
"God and you call me a heavy sleeper," He smirked and leaned down to kiss her hot forehead, finally feeling the weight she gained from carrying three babies. "Okay lets go down stairs than."
After carefully walking down the stairs, and almost dropping her half way.. He made his way to the living room where he stepped over to the couch and attempted to set her down..Attempted, but she wouldn't let go.
"As crazy as this sounds coming from me, I have work to do Hun, we can cuddle later I promise." He chuckled. Detaching her from his shirt and carefully laid her down, watching her head roll onto the small arm pillow.
Moving her bangs away to feel her forehead again, she had cooled down a bit, but was still pretty hot.. Making Hikaru wonder why she wasn't smoking.
Standing there silent a moment, he sighed and looked down at her one more time before he had to go to work on his stupid work his stupid work made him work on. "Oi, Haruhi, what the hell am I gunna do with you?"
"Leaving me here to die a slow and painful death sounds like an option."
Hikaru blinked and turned around to see Haruhi pressing the small pillow to her face, her chest rising from every breath she took.. He raised an eyebrow and stuck his hands in his pockets. Looking at her like she was indeed hopeless.
"Awe look who's awake now," He snickered. "Did I wake you up?"
"I've ben awake." She replied weakly, stuffing the pillow harder to her face, smashing her nose up against it. "Why'd you carry me down here?"
"You've ben awake all this time!?" He said and narrowed his eyes at her evilness. "You were fake sleeping?"
Haruhi Fujioka, is officially an Hitachiin.
His face eventually fell into bemusement after looking at her intently.. He glared and puckered out his lips as he registered what she was doing and stalked over to her and grabbed the pillow from her face she was smashing there rather forcefully.
"Alright, enough of that," he sighed. "Quit being all dramatic."
She looked up at him confused, panting lightly, her face stained scarlet.. She topped sweating a little but even after being down stairs, she still felt like she was sat on fire, then shot with a cold water hose, what was strange though, was that her insides were hot, cause when she felt her arms they were ice cold, and looking at the ceiling for too long made her vision blur.
Hikaru stood, towering over her confused and was pretty sure he wasn't going to be able to get his work done like he planned, which was okay with him he hated his boring work anyway.
"You don't look too good," He pointed out the obvious yet again.. Then realized that being six with a bunch of babies isn't a vary good thing and that he should probably fix it.
"Here Haruhi, why don't you go to the kitchen? go tell the maids to make you some more of that disgusting herd tea again that you despise.. Then we'll go to the ER." he said sternly. His face scrunched up in seriousness. "You need to get changed first."
"Why?"
"Do you seriously want to go in booty shorts?"
"No, I mean, what are we going to the emergency room for?"
"Because that's what sick people do?"
"No, sick people take cough syrup and go to bed."
"That's what sick poor people do, sick rich people get good service and immediate attention."
Haruhi looked at him blankly.
"Just get up," He sighed. Grabbing onto her arms as he stood her up and pulled her close once she wobbled a little on legs that weren't use to walking for a while. "Come here, we'll go an about an hour okay?"
Haruhi sighed and finally nodded her head in defeat.. Not being able to argue with him with her insane headache.. "Ugh, fine."
Smirking a triumph smile, Hikaru grabbed both her arms and snapped his fingers and only moments later, Kimiko came bustling into the room.. A worried look on her face as she looked at Haruhi and him.
"Yes Mr. Hitachiin?" She smiled and bows. "You need something else?"
"Get this sick mess some tea, and in think there's some of her clothes in the wash room.. Get her changed, we're going to the emergency room." He stated firmly. Handing his wife who he called a 'sick mess' over to their maid and sighed.. "And be careful please? we don't need a bunch of babies coming three months early."
Kimiko nodded. Wrapping her one arm around Haruhi's back, and grabbed her hand with her other. "Yes Mr. Hitachiin."
And just a total of the minutes went by as Hikaru went out side to retrieve his bag full of things he needed to go through for work, and stepped inside again dropping it all at the bottom of the steps to take up stairs before one of their other maids came scurrying into the room where he was standing.
She panted a little as her cheeks were tinted pink, looking at him with full horror on her face.
"Mr. Hitachiin! Mrs. Hitachiin... She's collapsed!"
