Know Thy Enemy

Parker lay on the floor with Killian and Sara in the living room, heads touching in a triangular shape. Each had a glass, or bottle held in their hand as they starred up. Sara would occasionally shift a little, her human body going stiff not being able to hold still nearly as long as Killian or Parker could. She'd sometimes glance as at Killian, using her adjustments as an excuse. Killian would sneak glances at Sara with soft eyes before turning back to the ceiling. Parker would just roll her eyes at her best friend and her sons non-sneakiness.

"Ugh… Why are we on the floor again?" Sara asked adjusting herself once more, breaking their silence.

"I think better down here." Parker replied eyes going far away, "My first life we didn't exactly have beds back then, so we slept on the floor or make shift beds from hay and skins."

"Don't forget the ground was dirt." Killian piqued in.

"Oh yes, that to. Maybe if I go lay outside int eh dirt it will help me think?" Parker questioned aloud.

"I can't picture you living without copious amounts of alcohol." Sara giggled.

Parker went to reply with snark but her phone shrilled to life with her ringtone for Elena. Sighing loudly Parker moved with grace to the phone on the couch.

"Elena, I didn't think you'd process what I told you this quickly… What do you mean Isa-bitch is here?... Yes, I know that its rude to add Bitch randomly into names, but could you really blame me for it?... She revealed what to Jenna… upon first meeting? Damn! I'm on my way…. I'll have a little chat with your dear old Dad!" Parker ended growling into the phone.

"Mother?" Killian asked as Parker shoved her phone into her pocket.

"Stay here," Parker muttered making her way out of the house and to her car.

Parker arrived at the Gilbert house, her house she'd grown up in. It was morning, she'd only been gone five or so hours since telling Elena she was a vampire. She'd had Jeremy invite her into the house the night before, she'd surprised him with her vampirism and Bonnie didn't exactly seem too pleased that there was another vampire in town.

Parker flung the front door of the house open waltzed in and moved to the kitchen. There still stood, John next to the table with Isobel and Elena staring at each other and Stefan standing across from them.

"You want to help, then get the hell out of my house." Elena said in front of Isobel.

"Honey I'm home," Parker cheerily said, all eyes turned to her.

"Parker, you look well considering you were practically on your death bed not even a week ago." John said eyes wide.

"You know what they say, nothing a little death can't cure." Parker said moving with speed and pulling Isobel from her seat and holding her in the air. "I believe Elena said to get out of her house, in fact you shouldn't have been invited in." All anyone saw was a blur as Parker moved Isobel with her and flung her outside.

"Patience." Isobel gasped.

"Listen well and clear, Isobitch…" Parker said stalking to Isobel who had stood herself up. Parker grabbed hold of Isobel's face and forced her to stare into her eyes. "You never saw me here; you don't know I'm a vampire. Now leave!" At Parkers command Isobel moved to her car with a slight dazed look and left.

Parker turned around to find Stefan, Elena and John staring at her with wide eyes and mouths agape. She gave them a dark look in return, eyes locking onto John. There was a blur again as Parker slammed John into the wall of the houses hall. She looked at her uncle with slight disgust.

"You invited her in, I should kill you right now. Rip off that pretty little ring and kill you. But I won't, you say you care about Elena's safety then damn well prove it." Growled Parker before dropping her uncle to the floor.

"What happened to you, you trained on the council." John asked looking at his niece with wide eyes.

"Let's just say you're better off not knowing." Parker said before turning around and leaving.

"She switched from one emotion like crazy before, is this what being a vampire is going to be like for her?" Elena gasped staring after her sister who left.

Later that day Parker found herself lounging in a chair at the Lockwood house, glass of bourbon in her hand. It hadn't been hard for her to get invited into the house, after all Carol loved Parker. Sipping from her glass she noticed Jenn a was absent. Jenna who was supposed to accept a scholarship that day. She watched as Elena stepped up and accepted in their aunt's name. Stefan and Elena had made it obvious to Parker that they were avoiding her. Stefan because he'd witnessed her power when she'd first turned, and Elena because she wasn't sure how to react to her sister just yet.

Parker was seated close to the stairs, she could smell the blood instantly and a moment later John was lying at the bottom of the stairs. Shooting up quickly Parker walked over to Johns body crouching down she looked at his neck. When Stefan arrived he to noticed the blood.

"Someone bit him, causing a distraction. But for what?" Parker asked looking around.

"Please everyone let the Sheriff through, let her do her job." Carol said motioning for people to move.

"Liz call Damon," Parker whispered as soon as she was close enough and the people had been moved away. "It might be better; I'll need his help."

At Parkers commanding tone Liz whipped out her phone and Carol started moving the people out of the house as orderly as she could. Parker stayed near her uncles' body, but expanded her hearing to the outside. As she expanded her hearing she slowly opened some of her shields allowing thoughts to drift threw. Eyes widening Parker stood up suddenly making her way out of the house, leaving behind a shocked sheriff and mayor.

"He said he wanted Katherine and the moonstone, Elena should be safe with me." Parker had heard the thought just as it was moving away and out of her range. Isobel's thoughts continued as Parker attempted to follow with her speed she'd gained when she turned.

"He compelled her, Klaus compelled Isobel to betray her own flesh and blood."

"That means he's close by, I can't be here."

Parker stopped following the thoughts and turned abruptly. She arrived at her house and ran to her room. As she flung things around the room, finding a small duffle bag. Parker threw everything she'd thought she'd need clothes and shoes one of her sketch books and Damon's box with the ring that was his mothers.

"Mother?" Killian asked arriving in the room with Sara right behind him.

"Parker what's wrong?" Sara asked noticing the mess the room was, and the bag on Parkers bed that lay open.

"He's coming, he's coming here." Parker spit out hurriedly. Racing around the room she grabbed Emily's diary, before throwing it in to the bag.

"He? Who's he and why's he coming?" Sara asked trying to make sense of Parkers words. Killian just stood there looking lost at his mother's actions.

"It's KLAUS! And he'll kill me. Or lock me away in one of the coffins, maybe just lock me up in a vervain filled room. Weaken me, and trap me." Parker rambled pulling open drawers, her words had started to blend and become hysterical.

"Why? Why would Klaus want to do any of that to you?" Sara asked running up to Parker and gripping her shoulders, forcing her best friend to look at her. "Isn't he your brother?"

"It's complicated, I have helped people get away from him. People that he didn't want to get away." Parker whispered remembering the look of betrayal on Klaus's face when she'd helped Rose and Trevor escape. Then the force of anger when he'd thought Katerina got away because of her.

"But you didn't help Katherine get away, that was Trevor." Killian said walking to his mother's side.

"Doesn't matter, he probably still thinks I helped her to escape, just like I helped Rose. He wouldn't listen to reason then and he most likely won't listen to it now. Back then the only reason he didn't kill me was because Kol would have slaughtered everything in his path to get his revenge. Well guess what, Kol's not around to stop him now and neither is Elijah. For all he knows I'll just be reborn again." Parker rattled off eyes bouncing around the room, still mentally looking for things to escape.

"Mother please don't run away, not again." Killian begged looking in to his mother's eyes.

"I'm sorry, but I can't stay here. We can feel his power. He's so old and he's not a normal Original. He's a hybrid, that amount of power is still inside him even if it's locked up. Coming here, his goal is to unlock it." Parker whispered looking at her son.

"What about you? You are over a thousand years old spirit with the knowledge of multiple lives and experiences from the other side. Not to mention a Demon is bonded to your soul. You are not weak, you are strong… Mother, you can do this." Killian pleaded.

"Parker, just stay for one… two days max. Please, anything you could share could help your family." Sara pleaded, hope filling her eyes as she starred at her friend. A tear leaving her eye Parker slowly nodded her admittance.

Across town in Alaric Saltzman's apartment witches chanted as Katherine woke up. Alaric sat slumped over in a chair, body limp. When the chanting faded Alaric stood up and walked in front of Katherine.

"Klaus!" Katherine gasped looking at the body of her doppelgangers history teacher.
