Day 37: Monday
Sonic: Hey guys. As a reminder Saints-Fan owns nothing…but it would be nice if we could go super without the emeralds, so enjoy.
Opening then later closing his eyes at the blinding sun, looking to his left Shadow moved slightly to not wake her. Gently placing a pillow between the floor and her head, he rushed into her room, muttering "Where are they? Where the hell are they?"
Ruffling through the contents of her nightstand, he finally found them. 'I can't believe you're going through with this.' Mephiles said as Shadow looked through them.
He nodded briefly, replying "Of course I am, mainly because I don't want her to know I did this and I forgot what I wrote."
Shifting into a mist-like state, he stated 'You always do something stupid, that later gets you in trouble. Oh well if you get caught I'm not telling you how to get out of it.'
"Yeah, yeah, whatever, besides I already have it." A groan of frustration followed his retort, as he continued "Great, now I don't want to open it I think I'll feel guilty afterwards."
Raising an eyebrow, Mephiles asked 'Since when do you feel guilt? Matter of fact I can just tell you what you wrote, but then I want to see the outcome of your actions.'
Walking out of the room with the letter in his pocket, he mumbled "You are one cruel subconscious."
"What are you doing?"
Abruptly stopping, Shadow looked down at Sandy, lying "Nothing, just…I'm gonna go and check on emerald."
Getting up, she stated "Actually, I was about to go work on the emerald."
He quickly replied "You know what; you can take the day off. After all, you need sleep more than I do."
Pushing past him, she said "Apparently, I have a pod to finish for my bosses, so I can't take the day off."
Silently cursing, he walked away from her, unable to see another route to stop her. "Shadow, why were you in Sandy's room?"
"Wait, you saw me? Amy, do not tell her I took this." He held up the letter making sure Sandy wasn't behind him. She nodded and silently warned him about his decision.
"How are you even going to put it back in her room?" Amy asked lightly grinning.
No response came from the immortal hedgehog as he sped into the kitchen, grabbing a pot and filling it with water; he waited for steam to rise and held the letter above it. After melting the glue off, he opened it and skimmed over the letter, he exclaimed "Oh hell, I confessed all of this! Either I'm now going to have to burn it or keep it."
"What did you write?" Amy asked starting to walk towards him.
Cramming the letter back in the envelope, he replied frantically "Nothing, nothing important at least."
Briskly walking back into her room, Shadow paused at seeing Sandy sitting at the edge of the bed looking through them. 'I told you it would be a bad idea, Shadow.' Mephiles said as he went behind her careful not to make any noise.
Quickly putting his letter on the nightstand, he sat beside her saying nothing. Turning towards him and tilting her head to the side, she asked "Why?"
He followed her hand as it rested of his shoulder, repeating "Why, what?"
Getting up and lightly kneading his shoulders, she replied "Why are you so tense all the time?"
Lying on the bed, he retorted "I'm not; I'm just a little stiff."
"A little, you're stiffer than when my brother decided to go horseback riding without a saddle." She huffed kneading near the middle of his back.
A low sound rose from his chest as she continued, looking down at him, she smugly asked "Are you purring?"
A dust of pink crossed his face, as he replied "No, I'm not a cat or…shut up, Female."
She chuckled and continued getting a low purr every now and then. Flipping onto his back, he said "Don't expect the same treatment if you think I owe you."
"Okay, I guess I'll just ask Calvin to do it or is there somethin' you're against." She replied smiling lightly.
Looking away from her, he mumbled "He's no good, and obviously he'll do something once he gets you in his grasp."
Not hearing him, she informed "You're not sleeping next to me; you can either take the floor or the couch."
Hugging the pillow, he whined "But it's so soft; the rest are taking the floor and your mother is taking the couch. So, either we share a bed or I make it legal."
She stared at him sort of believing the last part, rolling her eyes she slid in next to him, muttering "Good night, Shadow."
Pulling her closer to him, he replied quietly "Night…sweetheart." Entering a peaceful sleep minutes later after pecking her cheek.
A/N: I think I forgot how to write in third person, anyway as stated in the first note I own nothing. Review please.
