"Percy, we have to find him, who knows what-" Her words ran through my mind, not as painful as Piper's were when in the van, but more of a loud yell. One that I did not reject, in fact, her voice was a relief to me. I did not know how long I have been here, but my vision had disappeared and all I could see was foggy white. I arched my back as if trying to reach for her, as if I could pull myself free of the chains bounding me to the stone table I lay bare chested on, with only a loin cloth to cover my crotch.
But I had already tried, and what use would I be anyway? I cannot see. I felt a scream rip through my lips, echoing around the dark hole I was in. I continued to scream for a couple of minutes, not even trying to get to Annabeth but instead trying to find the voice of the last person I had, the only voice I heard in here.
"Annabeth, we will. As long as he doesn't turn his back-" Percy's deep voice settled my restless mind and I looked around in hope that I could see him, even a glimpse, but only the foggy white that I had begun to despise.
"Turn his back? He would never. As soon as he finds out who his father really is, he will do everything he can to come back to m-us." Annabeth cut in, obviously going to say 'me' instead of 'us'. What does she mean though? Who my father really is? Connected to the Cult? Isn't Tristan? And they do not hate on him.
"Annabeth…"
"Do not, Percy, just…just focus on trying to figure out where his location his, he spoke of living near the mountains, search for any nearby mountains, okay?" She snapped and I could imagine her turning around, pinching the bridge of her nose.
I didn't get what Percy had replied and I was plunged back into the deafening silence. The only thing to entertain myself was my thoughts, and I should have been used to it by now. But the only thing I did was screaming at the top of my lungs, hoping to gain someone's attention-if there were anyone in this white, foggy hell hole.
No one had gotten around to cleaning up the place, not only was it attacked by the cult, they had also ransacked it. Multiple weapons had been taken away, though half the cult was full of mortals, some demigods must have switched to them, or the children of George had decided to pay them a visit as well.
Percy was scrawling through maps, circling areas he might possibly be, Annabeth scrawling though information of the cult, in hopes that the location would be scrawled somewhere on the side. But the others were just sitting on the lawn in the front, too tired and injured to do anything.
"Do you think they'll find him?" Jason spoke up first, his voice sounding ragged and torn. The others didn't react, except Hazel who helplessly shrugged her shoulders, staring at the nicely trimmed lawn. It was Frank who looked up first, who made a small squeak, the others looked up at him confused and he shakily raised a finger to point in front of him.
They slowly looked up to see a pale figure, you could barely see it, but they could see the chains bound around his ankles and wrists. They could see him struggle, pull against the chain, but as they watched in shock, the figure became more visible and solid and soon Will was struggling there, with only a loin cloth for clothes.
"Will!" Leo yelled and Will stopped for a minute, looking around with wide eyes, his eyes not a blue but a murky white. Hazel looked at them for a minute before rushing up to him, trying to brush her fingers against his cheek but they went straight through. Her mouth opened slightly.
"Leo…" he whispered, his voice cracking in the end and he hacked up into his elbow.
"Will. Where are you?" Jason demanded coming up to him and he opened his mouth desperately trying to see them, moving his head around in different directions. Jason's eyebrows scrunched in confusion, "Will…can…can you see?"
He shook his head, "No, I…I cannot."
They all looked at him in shock, they made him blind? Jason's jaw hung limply as he gazed at him. Will looked just past Hazel, deciding to just look somewhere and hope that it is in their general direction. Suddenly the door flew open and banged against the wall. They didn't need to turn to know who it was. Will tried to look around, in hopes of seeing the cause of the loud noise but by the look, it was in vain.
"Will!" Annabeth's voice yelled and his mouth slightly opened at the sound and he tried to step forward but he was jerked back by the chains.
"He cannot see." Hazel quickly said turning to look at Annabeth, trying to meet her eye, to show her comfort. But Annabeth kept her eyes on Will, the only recognition to what she had just said was her eyes widening in indignation.
"They dare to…Will…where are you?" She whispered walking up to him, resting her hand on his ghostly face. He looked above her head with a sorrow look before slowly shaking his head.
"I do not know. I am sorry, but I am not with the Darkwood's anymore, my father got me out, he's alive but…I am not with him anymore…I am sorry. I am dead."
