Hey guys! How's it going?
Anyways, this will be a rahter short chapter, because I kinda lost my imagination (again). I guess I wanted to give a little more background on the characters before proceeding. Don't worry, in the next chapter will be continuing and we've finally read some MariamxOzuma (Carmen, I'm thinkng about you).
It's actually just a drable, I wanted to show my believes about Ray's village. That is a real paraside. Guest and Danazia Grey, yes, Hilary's memories are back, but she hasn't introduced herself to Tyson as Hilary, just as Princess. Sorry about any spelling mistakes, I kinda wrote this in a rush. I hope you like it.
ON THE FIC!
The morning had come and the bags were all set. The teens were walking around the village, taking it all inside for one last time. The purity, the calmness. The kindness and simpaty. The innocence and the loyalty of the villagers. The way they smiled and waved, no concerns frowning their unique faces. The fields, green and gold. The houses, firm and simple. The life, easy and full.
Sometimes they would find themselves thinking how could the neko-jin ever wanted to leave that place. But it was his choice. And nothing could be done about it. So they nodded and claimed they understood, while their minds and hearts didn't. The group decided to separate. The girls with the children. The boys with the eldery.
The children didn't mind at all. In fact, they welcomed the girls, bringing them to their core. A pair of twins took Susie and Skye's hands and ran with them, smiling and giggling happily. The girls found themselves the center of the twins' attention, who wanted to play everything and anything with them.
Hilary, after a good look at the children's faces, found herself delighting with a little girl's one, a small chubby one with big brown eyes and a shy personality to match them. Grabbing her hands, Hilary quickly pulled the girl to the green grass, spinning her around, the singing of the birds being their dance music. Salima sat with a ten year old boy in front of her. His bright green eyes and blond hair matched his cheerful and bubbly personality and the redhead found herself adoring each note of his laugh, while they played hand games.
A seven year old girl sat in front of Mariam. The amazed look on her big caramel eyes brought a smile to Mariam's lips, encouraging her to continue. Her slim fingers kept caressing the cords of her guitar, her voice leaving her mouth with a soft tune. Mariam didn't mind singing, she thought she was good, but having a little girl admiring her and letting out a sound of amazement everytime Mariam hit a high note or kept a unsual yet perfect tone was enough to make her think about Flash.
Rya was with a 5 year old boy. He was small and skinny. Someone that could pass unnoticed. His thin arms were wrapped around Rya's neck, and the girl was walking around, with the child in her arms. If someone saw them and ignored their physical diferences, they could easily think their were mother and son. The way Rya held him, the way the boy clutched to her, and the way they both smiled at each other was enough to raise false judgements. Rya talked to him, and the boy answered, but their adoration never left their eyes.
A little further back, the males talked away, exchanging life stories. But one male didn't talked. He just looked.
Kai.
He was sitting on the edge of a house, an old man with him. None spoke. Both arms crossed, both looking at the horizon. Both quiet, both believing it was no need for talk. But Kai, once he spotted Rya, never let his gaze leave her. The girl had a child in her arms. She smiled and acted like she was the mother of that kid. Abd that simple image made Kai's mind travel the infinity of the future. He imagined her with a child on her arms. Walking on a grassy backyard, flowers and bushes garnishing it. Behind her, a big white house. Two stories, Maybe. But big enough for an entire family. The child would be five, and he could havbe any hair color, but it obligatory that he had her mother's eyes. And then he saw her smile. Her pure, simple radiat smile. The smile that took his breath away.
"She's quite a woman, you know?" the elder spoke, never tearing his gaze from the horizon. Kai looked at him, confused.
"I'm sorry?"
"I can see that your heart beats for her, son. It's quite obvious."
"Hn." Kai let out, looking at Rya again.
"I once had this vision that you're having now, son. My wive dancing around with my baby boy. God, I wish that moment had never ended."
"Where are they now?"
"My wife died with cancer a long time ago. My son... He perished from the same evil a decade ago."
"I'm sorry to hear that."
"I'm not. I know that I will join them someday. But the memories, son... The memories is what pulls you p everyday. Because everytime I look, there she is, waving at me, with our little boy in hand."
"I cherish our memories." Kai told him.
"I believe you do." he elder said, finally looking into Kai's eyes " Make that future come true, son. Let her become your future. Let her hold your child in her arms. Let her love you as much as you love her and love that child twice as much. Because, one day you will wake up and she will be no longer by your side, to caress your hair and kiss your lips."
"I don't wanna loose her."
"You must. But make sure that every second you spend with her is worth it."
"I shall." Kai affirmed, standing up and walking to Rya, hugging her waist and patting the boy on the head, receiving a small giggle from him.
"Hey guys!" Skye exclaimed, when she saw the white and old truck arrving "Our ride is here!"
The teens stood up and grabbed their things, smiling to each other. Mariam sighed and walked beside Nick, feeling safer by his side. When the boy looked at her with a surprised yet confused look, she sighed and grasped his hand in hers unconsciously. He smiled and pulled her to him, hugging her tight. Mariam reciprocated the hug immediately, sighing happily when she realized that, even now, he could still see and act on it when she was feeling scared and worried.
"Even thought all that we've been through is over, I want you to know that I'll always be here for you." he whispered, smiling.
"Thank you, Nick. You have no idea how much that means to me..." Mariam whispered, smiling back.
They walked hand in hand to the truck and sat together, Mariam smirking inside when she saw Ozuma's look of anger and jealousy towards them. Sitting in pairs, the teens couldn't help but smile, thought tired, in hope for the new destination and new tecniques.
A/N: I guess that is it... Just to make things clear, Mariam and Nick are no longer dating, but they're still friends, because she is the only guy she trusts fully, and because we all need a male opinion in our lifes. Don't confuse that. And I know that from experience... My ex-boyfriend is my bf because I trust him a lot.
I love 'ya all!
