Kalos, Reunion and Romance!
A/N - I'm back with another chapter which was mean to be posted like two weeks ago, but the chapters I have written were corrupted from my flash drive and have to rewrite this chapter again from scratch. I hope everyone enjoys and also leave any suggestions on what character you would like to have a focus chapter of them for the next Chronicles chapter, enjoy!
Chapter Thirty Five: Chronicles Part 1!
Lumiose City (2:12 p.m.)
As Dawn parted ways with May and Max, Dawn is on her own along with her Pokémon throughout Kalos.
"The Kalos region sure does look beautiful in person, isn't that right Piplup?" Dawn asked her starter Pokémon as it nodded its head in agreement.
"I wonder if there is a shopping District anywhere." Dawn wondered as she sees a familiar face, flirting with beautiful woman and gets Poison Jab by his Croagunk.
"That's Brock for ya." Dawn and her Piplup both sweat drop.
Croagunk notices Dawn from a distance and quickly drags Brock while he's still on the ground as its runs run towards her.
"Hi Brock, long time no see, huh?" Dawn asked him and he quickly recovered from the attack and stood up.
"Oh hi Dawn, it sure has been a long time since I last you and Piplup." Brock stated.
"It sure has, I came to the Kalos region with May and Max to compete in the Grand Festival that is taking place here in the Kalos region, but we parted ways just yesterday." Dawn said to Brock.
"I see, well mind coming along to meet Professor Sycamore's laboratory?" Brock asks her and she accepts to the meet the lead researcher of Mega Evolution in Kalos.
"How is your training of becoming a Pokémon Doctor, Brock?" Dawn asks him and he replies "Pretty good, I finished my training in Johto after studying at the Pokémon Medical School in Pewter City. Now I'm traveling throughout Kalos since they have a program for medical students to gain some experience in Kalos."
"Did you just finish working at a Pokémon Center just now?" She asked him which made Brock look a little down. "Huh? What's wrong?"
"A trainer's Chespin is in a coma as of now since an hour ago and no one at the Lysandre's Labs knows what's the cause of the Chespin's coma, it gives off a green glow to it and whatever caused it to glow green is most likely the cause of it all!" Brock explained.
"Oh that's horrible; I hope that Chespin will get soon real soon." Dawn said to Brock as he pointed out to Dawn that they have arrived to Professor Sycamore's laboratory.
"Wow, so this is Professor Sycamore's lab, it's so fancy!" Dawn awed along with Piplup awing.
The two entered the building and are welcomed by Professor Sycamore himself with Professor Rowan by his side.
"Well this is a surprise to see you here Dawn." Professor Rowan said to his surprise with Piplup waving at the professor.
"Well how are you doing Piplup?" Rowan asks it with Piplup waving at him, telling him that he is well.
"So Professor, what was your latest discovery that you told me about awhile back at Lysandre's Lab?" Brock asked the young Professor who unveils a stone analyzer with a keystone and a purple mega stone resting in the sockets of the machine.
"Is that a mega stone?" Brock is surprised for Professor Sycamore to discover such a rare mega stone.
"It sure is and you won't believe what Pokémon is this mega stone is for." Sycamore replies as Brock is guessing, but couldn't figure out.
Sycamore's Garchomp suddenly entered the room and is taking an interest to the mega stone that Professor Sycamore found.
"Would it happen to be for Garchomp perhaps?" Brock asked with Sycamore nodded his head in yes.
"This is known as the Garchompite, I've already have two keystones, but with this one in my pocket, I could use this one as my main keystone while the other keystone next to the Garchompite will be used for testing to analyze both stones reaction with each other!" The young Professor stated as a metallic hand smashes right through the window above and grabs both the machine with the two stones and Garchomp.
"Prepare for trouble!"
"Make it double!"
"Oh will you two knock it off already, let's go already!" Meowth press the button on his remote to activate the thrusters on Team Rocket's balloon and fly off toward northwest.
"We have to get Garchomp back and quick!" Brock shouted as he runs outside to find Team Rocket.
"Wait Brock, we can take my vehicle!" Professor Sycamore takes both Brock and Dawn to wherever Team Rocket are taking Garchomp and the stones at.
As the two are driving northbound of the city, all the way to Route Thirteen, Team Rocket have decided to take a rest and try out the stones to mega evolve Garchomp.
James grabs a neck brace and puts it on Garchomp's neck with the mega stone in the center of the mind control device.
Garchomp is under a lot of pain from the mind control pain from resisting.
"That Garchomp is sure a tuff one!" Meowth pointed out as James raises the output of the device, causing more pain to Garchomp.
Professor Sycamore is thinking of what could be happening to Garchomp. He remembers the day the Alan brought Garchomp to the lab for the first time as a wild Gible. Professor Sycamore took a liking to it as their bond grew stronger over time as it evolves into a Gabite.
"Marvelous, Gible evolved!" Sycamore is surprised.
"That's amazing Gabite!" Alan cheerfully congratulated the Cave Pokémon.
As a year passes, Alan and Sycamore are moving some heavy lab equipment around, but due to its heaviness, both Alan and Sycamore couldn't told the machine for too long till Gabite came to the rescue and lit up in a blue light of evolution. It has fully evolved into Garchomp to help Sycamore and Alan around. It deeply cares for everyone and wanted to be grateful to them for taking Garchomp in when it was just a Gible, nowhere to go but the streets of Lumiose.
Sycamore is happy to see her evolve to Garchomp and it returned a hug to Sycamore.
"Gaarrr!" It shows it affection towards Sycamore and Alan.
Sycamore hopes he'll be able to reach to Garchomp, before Team Rocket could mega evolve.
"Professor look, there's a trail that could lead us to Team Rocket!" Brock pointed out the exit.
Professor Sycamore made a right turn that leads outside of the city to Route Thirteen and has made a complete stop, where they can see the Team Rocket Balloon from a distance away.
"Steelix, go!" Brock calls out his Steelix. "Dig underground to sneak up on Team Rocket and when I give you the signal, you take out their balloon, alright?" Steelix nodded its head as it's digging underground.
Sycamore, Brock and Dawn are quietly moving from tree to tree to avoid detection. Professor Sycamore sees that Team Rocket has attached the same device they've attached once on Garchomp months ago.
"We have to take that brace off of Garchomp, or else Garchomp will go on another rampage like before!" Sycamore remembered the tragic event that once occurred before.
"What happen from before, Professor?" Dawn curiously asks the professor and says "Team Rocket once broke into my lab and put that mind controlling device onto Garchomp and it made her lost control of herself and went on a rampage throughout Kalos. If it weren't for Ash, Garchomp could have suffered from serious injuries and same goes for the citizens."
"Oh yeah, I remember reading a news article on that when I first arrived to the Lumiose Airport from Kanto! But to think that Ash was the one to calm down Garchomp, that's pretty amazing" Brock stated.
"Now then Garchomp, it's time for you to mega evolve!" James holds the keystone up high.
Sycamore intervenes and activate his keystone at the same moment as James did. "I won't let you taint Garchomp's heart, my bond with her will connect to Garchomp easier than you think."
"Oh, so you think win over me? Inkay, use Psybeam!" James ordered his Malamar to attack Professor Sycamore as he's trying to mega evolve his Garchomp.
"Lopunny, use High Jump Kick on Malamar!" Dawn commanded her Mega Lopunny to defend Professor Sycamore. Mega Lopunny strikes down Malamar with one blow and Steelix came from beneath Team Rocket's Balloon and took out their balloon.
"Great job Steelix!" Brock complimented his Pokémon.
Garchomp finally begins to glow in the light of Mega Evolution. The fins and claw on its arms begin to disappear as it forms two scythe arms. Its jaw begins to reform too along with thorns appearing on its torso area and kneecaps.
"GWAAAARRR!" Mega Garchomp roars as it has a deeper tone of voice upon mega evolving.
"Garchomp, are you okay, did our hearts connect at all?" Professor Sycamore asks his Garchomp as it looks straight at him.
"Garchomp, use Dragon Pulse at Professor Sycamore right now!" James tried to commanded as Mega Garchomp directly faces at Team Rocket with an angry look to them.
"You heard what he said Garchomp, Dragon Pulse!" Professor Sycamore ordered as it uses Dragon Pulse.
"Steelix, use Dragon Breath!" Brock yelled as both Dragon type attacks hit Team Rocket and sending them blasting off again.
"We're blasting off again!" Team Rocket all said in unison as they disappeared from sight.
Both Garchomp and Lopunny revert back to their original forms as a keystone falls from the sky. Brock picked it up and gives it back to Professor Sycamore. "Thanks Brock, if it weren't for you two, I wouldn't have been able to mega evolve Garchomp before Team Rocket, even though they didn't have the chance to mega evolve Garchomp due to the lack of bond with her!"
"No problem, I'm glad that Garchomp is safe and sound." Brock told the Professor.
"We should probably head back to the lab and tell Professor Rowan the good news!" Dawn suggested to Professor Sycamore and he agrees as they drove back to Professor Sycamore's laboratory.
They've returned to the laboratory with Professor Rowan and surprisingly, Professor Oak are both glad that Garchomp is safe from harm. "Professor Oak, I didn't knew you were here?" Dawn is surprised to see the old Professor again. "Well hello there Dawn, it's been some time, has it not?" Delia suddenly entered the room and informed everyone that dinner is ready. Dawn is surprise again to see Ash's mom in the Kalos region. As the whole group are at the dinner table with Serena, Clemont, Bonnie and Meyer (Clemont and Bonnie's father) joining in, they all dig in and started a conversation during dinner.
"Where's Ash and Pikachu at?" Dawn asked as Serena replied to her that he's training on Route Thirteen in hope to catch a new Pokémon. As soon as everyone was finished with dinner, both Clemont, Bonnie and their father, Meyer all said thanks to Mrs. Ketchum for the meal and thanked Professor Sycamore for inviting them for dinner and all went home.
Dawn and Serena left the lab together with them waving goodbye to Professor Sycamore and the others. "So how is your contests going so far?" Serena asks her with Dawn showing her first ribbon obtained so far and needs four more to go to compete in the Grand Festival here in the Kalos region. "I see that you have a keystone of your own already!" Dawn pointed out that Serena is wearing a red megaring with the keystone attached to the accessory. "Yeah I bought it yesterday right before Ash left for training on Route Thirteen along with his Pokémon and my Eevee."
"Speaking of Ash, how many badges has he earned so far?" Dawn asked Serena.
"So far he has four, he could have gotten his fifth gym badge, but he decided to wait until he has seven gym badges to battle Clemont for the last gym badge here in Lumiose City." Serena replied back, making Dawn a little surprise that Clemont is a gym leader of the Lumiose Gym. "I'm pretty shock that Clemont was a gym leader, he sure doesn't seem to look like a gym leader, not in a bad way."
"Well ever since he first told us that he was gym leader, me and Ash were surprised too. The next gym we're going to next once he's done with his training is at Laverre City and the gym leader happens to be Valerie!" Serena is fangirling a bit from being able to meet Valerie soon once she and the others have arrived to Laverre City.
"Isn't she also a fashion designer for making these pretty furisodes?" Dawn showed a picture of some furisodes from a magazine she has that happens to be designed by Valerie of the Laverre Gym.
"Yeah, she's the one that designs those." Serena replied back to Dawn as that made her decide to travel to Laverre City one of these days after the Grand Festival.
Serena and Dawn both stopped at front of a Pokémon Center "Well this is the Pokémon Center I'm staying at and good luck with those Pokémon Contests."
"Sure thing, there's nothing for me to worry about, isn't that right Piplup?"
"Plup!" The Penguin Pokémon nodded its head.
Both trainers wave goodbye at each other as Dawn leaves south of Lumiose City towards Santalune City for her next contest there.
As the sun fully sets, Dawn has set up a tent on Route Four to get some rest tomorrow to be able to have enough energy to get to Santalune City early in the morning.
Back at Lysandre's Labs, a lot of experiments are taking place with the megalith being analyzed by Xerosic. "Lysandre sir, this megalith has enough power to be able to power the Ultimate Weapon. We could go to Prism Tower and reactive right now!" Xerosic exciting shouted.
"Calm yourself doctor, we'll need the power of Xerneas, Yveltal and Z to use the Ultimate Weapon at its true potential. With the legendary Pokémon, we'll be able to use them to create our new world soon enough" Lysandre smiled with his arms crossed.
