Hello everyone. I'm finally back and my life is a little more settled down. One of the big issues were settled faster then the other, but either way I'm back to typing. I want to thank all of you being so kind and understanding. I personally want to thank the ones who commented: Guest, IslaTheIcePrincess, Reedflight22, and TheFanfictionMaster for their reviews. You guys were really sweet and when I got to actually going around and checking reviews, seeing your four's made me smile.

Now, for this chapter, I have the idea from winxclubfan1. A big thank you and I hope you enjoy how I wrote the story.

Applepaw stirred lightly as she heard a commotion outside. Cats were shrieking and arguing as she forced herself to her paws. Looking around, she noticed that the other apprentices had left already, including her littermate Shadepaw. Stepping out, she spotted them next to their four older kin; Sunnyfang, Petaldapple, Lightstorm, and Duskfeather. Tension came from the four oldest as Blackpaw only sat there in shock.

"What's going on?" Applepaw asked, her voice only a squeak compared to the yowls that came from the middle of the circle of cats. Sunnyfang, thankfully, noticed his sisters mew. The powerful ginger and white tom faced her.

"They're accusing Mossywing of murder." He spat distastefully. Shock ran through the ginger apprentice as she tried to see the thick pelts of her Clanmates.

"I didn't kill Miststar! I swear!" Mossywing's distraught cry rang through the air.

"Then why were you seen near her body with blood on your paws?" Berrystorm, a cream-coloured senior warrior, spat. To hear her mentor accuse her mother of murder didn't sit well with the apprentice. As she continued to try to look through the cloud, she caught a glimpse of a gray tail-tip and white fur. Struggling to see more, she ntoiced her mother's gray paws were tainted a dull scarlet. Fear flashed through the apprentice. Was it true? Before she could see more, Petaldapple pulled her back. The tortoiseshell and white warrior frowned down at her.

"You're too young to see what's going on," She turned to the two almost identical gray tabby toms next to her. "Isn't that right, Lightstorm, Duskfeather?"

When neither answered, she lightly shoved the lighter gray tom, Lightstorm.

"What is it? I'm trying to pay attention here." He spat, turning his white muzzle back to the increasingly loud argument. Meanwhile, Duskfeather turned his attention the the two, his white chest fluffed out to look more authoritative. However, because of his long fur, he looked kind of goofy to Applepaw.

"She's right, Applepaw. You are only six moons."

"I'm seven now." The spotted ginger apprentice grumbled lightly. A yowl turned the apprentice back to the fight.

"Murderer!"Berrystorm cried out as he pinned the mostly white deputy to the ground. The scent of fresh blood hit the air and Applepaw let out a shriek as well as many other cats. Lightstorm let out a yowl and went to attack the cream-furred tom, only to get stopped by the black and white warrior, Swiftberry.

"Get out of my way!" He snapped at the she-cat.

"Berrystorm had the right motives. There is no evidence saying she wasn't the killer and there was plenty saying she was." Lightstorm lunged at the she-cat and the two started to fight. Light gray and black and white fur soon left blood drops scattering the ground. Berrystorm shoved the light gray tom off of the she-cat before biting his throat. As Lightstorm fell limp at the tom's paws, he then turned to the Clan.

"It seems that Mossywing isn't the only killer!" He yowled as he carefully helped the bleeding Swiftberry up. "Her older kits are as well. If we are to have peace, we have to get rid of them."

Cats uncomfortably looked at Applepaw and her littermates. As a few hesitantly stepped forward, Berrystorm stopped them.

"Leave the two apprentices. there may be hope that they are more like their late father."

"This is mouse-brained! None of us are killers!" Petaldapple yowled in fear as she took a step back. Sunnyfang bristled in anger while Duskfeather ran over to Lightstorm's motionless body, his body shaking in harsh sobs. The rest of the Clan looked towards Berrystorm as if he was already leader. The cream-coloured tom narrowed his eyes.

"For the sake of our Clan, we can't risk that chance." Applepaw was soon lost in a huge flash of fur as warriors attacked her three older littermates. As the storm of fur calmed, Sunnyfang, Petaldapple, Duskfeather, and even Mossywing's apprentice, Shadepaw, lay dead. Regret burned in the eyes of every cat, but all Berrystorm said was,

"It was for the best." As the medicine cat, Waspfur, approached Blackpaw and Applepaw to give them poppy seeds to calm down, Blackpaw took off into trees, fleeing ThunderClan's camp. Applepaw didn't even look at the poppy seeds. She was looking at Leafpaw, a brown tabby apprentice who stood next to her black and white littermate. In frot of her was Shadepaw's body. Around her muzzle was flecked blood, as her father Berrystar had. As she finally started to eat the poppy seeds, anger struck her. She vowed to get revenge on them. For her mother and for her kin.

Two cats slunk silently through ThunderClan. One a black and white tom and the other was a ginger she-cat. As they came to a small opening, other ThunderClan cats were already waiting. An elderly black tom bristled slightly in annoyance.

"It took you two long enough."

"Sorry, Ravenheart," The she-cat apologized as she sat down with the black and white tom. "Leafshade was keeping a close eye on us all day."

"Well, we're glad to finally have you two join us, Applespots."A expecting silver tabby queen purred.

"This meeting wouldn't start without her, Lilydawn," Ravenheart huffed. "Both her and Patchclaw are the leaders."

"We need to get this meeting started." Swiftberry, Berrystar's deputy, snapped in annoyance.

"Well, first off, have we found any new proof that Mossywing wasn't the killer?" Silence fell. Waspfur, the now graying medicine cat, shook his head.

"The only proof we have is that the fur in Miststar's claws was silvery-gray, but we all know Berrystar will need more proof then that." He rasped. Applespots let out a saddened sigh. Patchclaw placed his tail carefully on Applespots in an attempt to comfort her.

"We'll find out the truth." He promised. After a long moment of silence, the ginger warrior spoke up again.

"Is there any other news we need to share when it comes to Mossywing's unfair death?" There was no answer. "Then let's head back to cam-"

"Hello? Is someone there?" A voice asked. Everyone in the opening bristled as a black she-cat emerged into the opening. Shocked, the she-cat took a step back as she saw the Clan cats. Applespots stopped bristling when she looked into the she-cats strange eyes. One was a deep green, much similar to her own, while the other was the same colour amber as a bright flame. Before any cat could speak, a small golden-brown tom-kit padded next to her, only looking about a moon or two old.

"Who are you?" Patchclaw asked, his claws unsheathed. Applespots placed one paw on his as a sign for him to sheath his claws.

"My name's Dark and this kit is my son, Grass," The she-cat informed them. "I'm here to join a group of cats known as ThunderClan."

There was a long silence.

"Follow us." Applespots ordered. As the cats returned to camp all at once, they pushed away any questions. As Berrystar stepped out of his den, he spotted them.

"What's going on here?"

"We found a cat wanted to join ThunderClan." Patchclaw stated. Both cats were well aware Berrystar listened to Patchclaw better than he did Applespots.

"Step forward," He ordered Dark. The black she-cat trembled lightly in fear as she stepped forward. The sleek look the she she-cats pelt nagged at Applespots. It was almost as if she knew this she-cat somewhere."Who are you? Why do you want to join our Clan?"

"M-my name is Dark. I want to join ThunderClan because I've had a strange, recurring dream where a gray she-cat with bright blue eyes is telling me to 'go to ThunderClan'. So, I left my home with my kits. The only one to make it here with me was my son, Grass." She motioned to the little kit next to her. Berrystar carefully looked the she-cat over. He glanced next the she-cat at his deputy, who didn't make any movement to respond.

"Very well, you may join. However, from this day on, you will be known as Nightwing instead of Dark and your kit will be known as Grasskit." Looking towards the newly named Nightwing, Applespots noticed the black-furred she-cat was glaring at the leader.

"That cat was Miststar." A heavy silence filled the Clan. Berrystar was bristling in shock and anger.

"How do you know Miststar?"

"Because, before I changed my named to Dark, I was an apprentice named Blackpaw!" She called out. "And I know the truth behind Mossywing!"

Yowls of confusion and anger rose.

"Traitor, you ran away!"

"We thought you died!"

"Liar!" Berrystar's yowl rose over the Clan and all cats fell silent. A squeak of terror escaped Grasskit as he hid under his mother.

"Mossywing didn't kill Miststar. She killed the cat that had killed her." Jumping down from the rocks, Berrystar stood in front of Nightwing. The she-cat nudged her son over to Applespots. The ginger she-cat wrapped her tail around him to keep him safe.

"We don't welcome liars here." Berrystar warned her in an icy tone.

"I'm not a liar."

"I bet my last two lives you are. Blackpaw was too young to live on her own when she ran away."

"I was-"

"You're not Blackpaw." He lunged at Nightwing. The she-cat crouched down and the leader's attack missed. As she turned to face him, he was already on his paws. Before she had the chance to get away, he lunged at her once more and sunk his teeth into her throat. Within seconds, she was dead. Grasskit let a horrified cry as he looked at his mother. Applespots quickly grabbed him by the scruff as he went to run over to Nightwing. Suddenly a cat appeared over the body. It was Miststar. The spirit of Nightwing was suddenly there as well.

"You did well, Blackpa- Nightwing. You faced your fear."

"W-wait. She was telling the truth?" Berrystar stumbled back in surprise. Miststar nodded and the cream-furred leader back away.

"I-I'm so sorry. I... I will step down as ThunderClan's leader," He looked towards his deputy as did most of the Clan.

"It's your choice, Swiftberry." Miststar mewed as Nightwing stood next to the former leader.

Exile him. Applespots pleaded silently. It's what he deserves.

"As ThunderClan's leader... You are hereby exiled. You and Leafshade."

"Why me?" Leafshade hissed as she glared at Swiftberry.

"I know you killed Shadepaw."

"A good choice." Miststar praised. As this went on, Nightwing approached Applespots and Grasskit. The ginger warrior placed the kit on the ground.

"Where are you going?" Grasskit squeaked sadly as he looked up at his mother. "Can I go with you?"

"No, my darling little kit, you can't go."

"Why? Where are you going that I can't go?"

"I'm going to go see your littermates and it's a journey you're too young to make."

"But I don't want you to leave." He begged, but the only response he got was his mother rasping her tongue on in between his ears one last time. Saddened, she looked up at Applespots.

"Please look after him for me."

"Of course." Her throat felt sore as she felt her sister rest her chin on her head for a short second. She closed her eyes and when she opened them back up, Miststar and Nightwing were gone. Grasskit shook with sobs as Berrystar and Leafshade were chased out of the camp. Feeling Patchclaw's pelt brush against her, she looked at the tom. The moment felt so bittersweet. With all that was risked, they could finally live a normal life.
