[A/N: I'll admit this isn't my best work. For some reason I just couldn't get Rapunzel and Flynn to mesh with my characters the way the other Disney characters have. Maybe it's because I've only seen Tangled twice where as I've seen the other Disney films numerous times and know the characters inside and out. Also don't expect to see Erik again until the end of the story. Only four chapters left now. Reviews are appreciated. Enjoy the chapter!]

The new world that they landed in didn't look terribly big, but that may have been because they were in only in a small thicket that was covered over with vines. Juliet pulled the map out and followed the route they'd taken from the Bear Kingdom. "Looks like we're in the Kingdom of the Sun." She looked through the vines to see bright sunlight streaming through the thick vines. "Well, it certainly looks sunny."

There was the sound of joyful laughter coming from the other side of the curtain of vines.

Juliet led the way through the curtain of vines to see a girl wearing a pink and purple dress with extremely long golden blonde hair frolicking through the grass when she suddenly locked eyes with the girl.

The girl yelped and imminently went behind a brunette man with a bit of stubble on his chin. "Stay away from me I'm warning you." She was brandishing a frying pan at them

Akio looked between Juliet and Clementine who looked just as confused as he did. "We're not going to hurt you all right. Is this the Kingdom of the Sun?"

Before the girl could respond the man spoke up. "Yes, this is the Kingdom of the Sun and I've been all over this kingdom and I've never seen the three of you before. Who exactly are you?"

"Oh, right introductions. I'm Juliet and these are my friends Akio and Clementine."

"All right then….I'm Flynn Rider and this is blondie."

"Rapunzel."

Juliet was looking up at Rapunzel in interest. If we hadn't found all of the seven pure lights I'd say she was one of them too. Like with Merida she saw black vapor coming off Rapunzel. I really need to ask someone about this black vapor. It's on Rapunzel too.

Slowly Rapunzel climbed off Flynn's back still aiming the frying pan at Juliet. "Do you know anything about the floating lanterns?"

"Lanterns? No, why would they be floating anyway?"

Flynn looked back at Rapunzel who still looked cautious. "Oh, its just something they do every year for the lost Princess. And blondie here really wants to see them so I'm taking her to the castle."

"Oh, well would you mind terribly if we tagged along?"

Rapunzel jumped in before Flynn could answer. "Of course of course the more the merrier. Isn't that right, Flynn?"

Flynn only grumbled under his breath. "You know Rapunzel and other people I just met why don't I show you some place where we can eat it's a quaint little spot that I'm sure you'll love."

As they walked after Rapunzel and Flynn, Juliet nudged Akio in the side. "Do you see any black vapor coming off Rapunzel? I saw some on Merida too, but when she when her Mother changed back it disappeared."

Akio looked back over at Rapunzel and shook his head. "No, she looks perfectly normal to me I mean ignoring the fact that her hair is incredibly long."

The tavern that they came across was called the Snuggly Duckling.

Rapunzel looked delighted to see the tavern when Flynn pointed it out. "I do love ducklings."

However, the people inside the tavern didn't look like they belonged in any place called Snuggly Duckling. One had a hook hand; one had his head covered by a horned helmet, and there were several others that looked quiet hideous as well.

Clementine started to move back out of the tavern when she felt Juliet pull her back in. "This place doesn't look safe Juliet I think we should leave."

"Don't be silly Clementine we could easily take them if they turned out to be dangerous."

"That's Flynn Rider."

"I'll go get a guard."

While they were talking some of the men had began pulling Flynn in different directions when Rapunzel dropped a chandelier on the head of one of the men. "Haven't any of you ever had a dream?"

The hook handed man lifted Flynn up and hung him up on a peg on the wall.

One of the men turned to Juliet with a large gash going from his left ear down to the corner of his mouth. "So missy, what's your dream?"

"Mine? I want to go back to my home world."

He turned to Akio and Clementine with a grimace on his face. "And you two?"

Clementine was faster to answer. "We want to see other worlds. I guess you can say our dreams have been fulfilled."

The man who'd gone to get the guard came back with three guards behind him. "I got the guards."

The hook handed man beckoned for Flynn and Rapunzel who were hiding under the bar to crawl down a passage he'd opened up. "Go live your dream."

Flynn thought this was directed at him. "Thanks I will."

"I was talking to her your dream stinks."

Juliet, Akio, and Clementine followed Flynn and Rapunzel down the tunnel, but Juliet still couldn't shake the feeling that something was off about Rapunzel with that black vapor that was still coming off her.

The guards along with a white horse were following close behind; the guards with their swords drawn.

The tunnel came out into a large canyon, but unfortunately for them they were on the edge of a cliff.

Rapunzel threw her hair forward latching it onto a beam that was across the canyon and swung herself to the other side while Juliet summoned her glider and flew across.

"You know I guess we could have grabbed Flynn, but I guess he'll be ok. He seems pretty scrappy." Juliet landed next to Rapunzel in time to see her throw her hair to Flynn who caught it and attempted to swing to the landing, but ended up catching himself on a beam that stuck out.

The white horse had knocked over a beam and was walking across towards Rapunzel when she jumped down to where Flynn was. However, when the horse had knocked the beam loose rocks had also come loose and now water was streaming into the canyon.

Juliet was following Rapunzel and Flynn towards a cave, but this struck her as a very stupid thing to do. If we go into that cave won't be boxed in? She wasn't able to voice this to either Akio or Clementine when they'd flown into the cave.

Just like she thought the cave began to fill with water and there was no way to get out since rocks blocked up the other side.

Rapunzel looked over at Flynn. "I'm so sorry Flynn if it hadn't been for me none of this would have ever happened."

"Eugene."

"What?"

"My real name is Eugene Fitzherbert. Figured someone should know." By this point the water was up to their necks.

"I have magical hair that glows when I sing. Wait magical hair that glows when I sing. Flower gleam and glow let your power shine make the clock reverse; bring back what once was mine. Heal what has been hurt, change the fate's design save what has been lost, save what once was lost, bring back what once was mine. What once was mine."

As the water went over their heads Rapunzel's hair began to glow gold lighting up the whole cave.

After Flynn had recovered from the shock of magical glowing hair he saw a small hole in the rocks and began to pull them loose.

Water gushed out of the hole propelling them out of the small opening.

Juliet pulled herself up to the banks of the river they'd came out into and pushed her wet hair from her face. "That certainly could have gone worse. Magical glowing hair who knew?"

It looked like Flynn was still in shock from Rapunzel's hair. "Her hair glows….."

After they'd gotten out of the river it was starting to get dark and the five of them were around a campfire in the forest.

Juliet could hear something off in the trees and stood up catching Rapunzel's attention. "I'm sure it's nothing to worry about, but I'm going to go see what the noise is. Be back in a second." As she went through the trees Juliet saw a tall familiar shadow talking to what appeared to be a woman with bushy hair. "Is that Erik? And who's that woman?"

The woman looked over at her and drew the hood of her cloak up and dashed off.

"What are you doing skulking about over there, Juliet? Come over here where I can see you better."

"Who was that woman you were talking to?"

"Don't be nosy. She was just a friend of mine."

"What's her name?"

Erik frowned at her and shook his head. "I'm not telling you."

"Why not?"

"Because it's none of your business. Besides I think the better question is what are you doing here? I didn't think any of the seven pure lights was here."

Juliet's face broke out into a smile. "Actually, speaking of that I'm glad I ran into you. I found the last one. Well, to be fair Akio found her, but I know who all of them are now."

Erik's facial expression didn't change. He didn't look pleased or disappointed. "Tell me again who they are and where they are."

"Kairi is in Radiant Garden , Alice is in Wonderland, Belle is in Beast's Castle, Snow White is in Dwarf Woodlands, Cinderella is in Castle of Dreams, Aurora is in Enchanted Dominion, and Jasmine is in Agrabah."

"Very good. Now if you'll excuse me I have some other rather pressing business off somewhere else.

"Before you go I have a quick question."

"Make it quick."

"When I was in the Bear Kingdom there was this girl named Merida who had black vapor coming off her, but after she patched things up with her Mother it went away. Do you know anything about it?"

"Sometimes if a person is overcome with too much negativity it can start to show itself physically. This Merida girl must have been going through some inner turmoil to make her negativity show itself."

"Rapunzel has it too."

"I suspect the same thing is going on with Rapunzel. Now, I really must go."

Juliet watched him walk further into the forest before turning and walking back to the clearing. She found Akio waiting for her with a frown on his face. "What? I said I'd be back in a minute."

"You said a second and while you were gone Rapunzel's Mother showed up. That woman is a piece of work."

"What did she do?"

"She was telling Rapunzel how Flynn is no good and we know that, but Rapunzel doesn't need to know that."

"I guess….anyway let's get some sleep."

"What did you find in the woods that making the noise?"

"An animal. It was just a rabbit nothing to get excited over."

The next morning Juliet woke up to Rapunzel cooing at something. She cracked her eyes open and saw the white horse from the day before sitting on his haunches getting his neck rubbed. "That horse must have a super nose if it could track us all the way here."

"I need him not to get arrested."

The horse snorted in indignation.

"Just for twenty-four hours then you can chase each other till your heart's content."

The horse and Flynn exchanged begrudging looks before shaking hoof to hand.

When they got into the kingdom Juliet felt Clementine pull her back. "What's up Clementine?"

"Where were you really last night?"

"I heard something, but it was just a rabbit."

"Akio told me that. It wasn't a rabbit was it?"

"It was just a rabbit."

"No it wasn't now tell the truth."

Juliet really didn't appreciate the scolding, but wasn't going to change her story. "It was just a rabbit, Clementine."

"It was Erik wasn't it? And I bet he knows Rapunzel's Mother too."

That would explain the woman he was talking to. "What do you have against him, Clementine?"

"I've told you this before you can't trust him."

"And why not?"

"Because he's bad, Juliet."

"How do you know?"

Clementine bit her lip thinking that maybe it wasn't the best thing to tell Juliet since it would shatter whatever fantasy she'd conjured up in her head about him. "I met him once in Atlantica long time ago."

Juliet raised an eyebrow. "What? Why are you just now telling me this?"

"I didn't think it mattered. He was talking to Ursula and you know she's evil."

"They could have been talking about anything."

"I heard them. They were talking about some guy named Master Xehanort who was looking for allies. I think Erik is a lackey of this guy's."

"Well, that was when he was young he's probably changed."

I doubt that. He was a rotten kid and he's a rotten man. "If you say so. Let's hurry up we're losing Rapunzel."

When they got to where Rapunzel and Flynn had gone they found them dancing in the town's square.

Juliet grabbed onto Akio's hand to pull him into the group when she felt resistance. "Come on Akio it'll be fun."

"You know I can't dance. Last time we tried this I stepped all over your feet."

"This is different dancing its more twirling around in a circle and trying not to get sick."

"Is that supposed to entice me?" Before Akio could comment further Clementine pushed him towards Juliet.

"See I told you it'd be fun." After a few seconds they changed partners and Juliet found herself with Flynn. "So, how's your date with Rapunzel going so far?"

"It isn't a date I'm only showing her the floating lanterns."

"Yeah, sure…"

As the sun was going down Juliet found herself in a boat with Akio while Clementine went off in her own. "So, we've known each other for a while now. What do you think of all the worlds we've seen so far?"

"Some of them are nice and others I'd prefer not to go back too?"

"Which one has been your favorite?"

"Not Timeless River, Mortimer was a creep….Camelot was fun. What about you?"

"I like them all."

"Really, all of them?"

"Don't get me they do have their faults, but before this I'd only been to two worlds and I can't even remember my home world. Don't you think this light thing they do is really pretty?"

Akio wasn't really looking at the lanterns. "Yeah…pretty."

Clementine had been trying to get a better look at Juliet and Akio's boat and was standing up. "Why don't they just kiss already?" She stepped onto the side of the boat, lost her balance, and fell into the water with a startled yelp. "This isn't all bad I could just give them some gentle prodding."

Juliet noticed that Akio kept stealing glances at her and smiled at him. "What?"

"Nothing…."

"Why are you staring?"

"I'm not staring."

"Yes you are."

Clementine was under the water beside their boat and cupped her hands to her mouth. "Kiss her you know you want to."

Akio looked back at Juliet and it looked like he really wanted to say something, but kept his mouth shut.

"You look like you're having a debate with yourself."

"I am…..feel free to say no, but do you think I could kiss you?"

Juliet's face went pink. "Really? That's what you've been debating over?"

"Yes, really."

"I guess if you really want to kiss me its ok. It's not like its weird or anything."

Under the water Clementine was grinning like a mad man. "Finally, I never thought I'd see the day."

From over the top of Akio's head Juliet saw Rapunzel and Flynn's boat on the shore, but something looked off. "Hang on what's going on over there?" She grabbed onto the oars and began to row the boat towards the shore.

Akio looked a bit disappointed while Clementine was having a fit still under the water.

As they neared the shore Juliet hopped out of the boat in time to see two burly red haired men one wearing an eye patch advancing on Rapunzel with a sack. "Hey, leave her alone." She smacked the closest one upside the head with the Keyblade.

The one she hit (the one with two eyes) turned to Juliet and pulled out his sword. "You must really be dumb girl to pick a fight with the Stabbington brothers."

Juliet wrinkled her nose. "Stabbington? Well I should feel sorry for you since you have such a hideous name, but I don't. Now leave Rapunzel alone."

The one with the eye patch began to advance on Juliet from the other side. "All we want is her magical hair and we'll leave her be. Getting your hair cut won't kill you."

Akio threw his disk at the brother with the eye patch hitting him between the eyes. "She said to leave Rapunzel alone."

"A little boy and a little girl don't make for much of a fight, but we will take that funny sword of yours." The brother with both eyes began to advance on Juliet when a heavy stick hit him hard and knocked him over.

Before the one eyed brother could do anything the same thing happened to him.

The person who'd hit the Stabbington brothers was a woman with a mess of graying black hair wearing a red dress. She took no notice of Juliet and Akio. "Rapunzel, Rapunzel where are you?"

"Mother?" Rapunzel completely ignored Juliet and Akio and ran into her Mother's arms.

Clementine had just gotten to the shore by this point. "What happened?" She looked from the passed out Stabbington brothers to Rapunzel. "Where's Flynn?"

Juliet shrugged scanning the lake when she saw a boat off in the distance. "Maybe that's him down there." She looked back at Rapunzel who was being led away by her Mother. "Let's go see if that's him I'm sure Rapunzel will be all right with her Mother."

Even with being on the glider by the time they'd gotten to where Flynn was he was being led away by a pair of guards.

Clementine was looking back at the direction they'd come from. "I think we should go get Rapunzel her Mother isn't good."

"But what about Flynn?"

"He's a big boy he'll find a way out."

It took the rest of the night and into the next day to find their way back to the tower. Juliet landed the glider at the base of the tower and looked up. "Do you really think it's a good idea to just barge in there?

Akio looked back at Juliet and then up at the tower. "Clementine's right about Rapunzel's Mother she's no good. Besides I don't think she could take out all three of us."

To ere on the side of caution Juliet didn't fly all the way up and peeked through the window to see Rapunzel red faced and out of breath. "Rapunzel, are you ok?"

Rapunzel only gave Juliet a wide eyed stare in response. "I'm the lost Princess."

"Beg pardon?"

Rapunzel grabbed onto Juliet's hand and pulled her into the room. "Quick get in the closet." She pulled Akio and Clementine up as well and shoved them into the closet.

Juliet squirmed away from Clementine and pressed her ear to the door. She could hear Rapunzel confronting her Mother followed by a muffled scream. "Do you think we should do something?"

"Rapunzel let down your hair."

"Well I guess it should be all right now that Flynn is here."

However, the sound of Rapunzel's muffled voice followed by a pained cry made Juliet change her mind.

She peeked out to see Rapunzel at Flynn's side wrapping his wound in her hair.

Before Rapunzel could finish her song Flynn reached up with a shard of glass in his hand and cut her hair off.

Rapunzel's Mother let out a horrible yell and began to try and pick up the hair; her true age finally beginning to show.

"Ok, enough is enough." Juliet walked out of the closet and got behind Mother Gothel before pushing her out the window. She looked out the window to see that Gothel had completely disintegrated. "She must have really been old to just fall apart like that." Juliet looked back at Rapunzel and Flynn in time to see gold light enveloping them.

Slowly Flynn opened his eyes. "Did I ever tell you I have a thing for brunettes?"

Rapunzel threw her arms around his neck before pulling him into a kiss. The black vapor that had been coming off her had completely disappeared.

Juliet looked away before walking towards the window. "So, since everything is ok we'll just be leaving."
