Naruto was running at full speed towards the border of the land of lightning at a river bordered by trees on either side Naruto stopped reaching for the kunai holster on his belt he tossed a kunai across the river into the trees
The sound of steel colliding with steel was heard Naruto leapt towards the sound drawing his sword he swung only to be met with red hair and gold eyes
"Karui" Naruto said recognizing his old classmate from the academy "Naruto" the red haired Kumo Kunoichi said pushing him back she sheathed her sword "what are you nuts what's the big idea attacking me"
Naruto smiled sheepishly "sorry about that I'm kind of on edge" behind Naruto Hinata made it to the river breathing heavily she looked to Naruto "Naruto Kun you were supposed to wait for me" she weakly scolded her husband
Naruto looked back to Hinata "we don't have time to wait who knows what could be happening to Yugito right now while were talking"
"What happened to Yugito" Karui asked with concern for her former classmate Naruto frowned "we don't know her distress seal was activated" Karui frowned "so couldn't Kushina Sama just use Hirashin to go to her location and back her up"
Hinata shook her head "it can't be done the Hirashin burns off when a marker seal on a person or animal is used as an anchor for the jutsu" Hinata explained
By this point Omoi had caught up to Karui landing besides her looking to each other the two nodded before looking to Naruto "what can we do to help"
Naruto frowned "this is my clan's business I can't ask you guys for help" Naruto told the two "you just finished with a mission and kami knows what we're going to find when we get to Yugito"
"Bullshit" Karui retorted "no decent Kumo shinobi is going to leave a friend alone when we can help" Karui yelled at Naruto Omoi nodded
"It's true besides shinobi dying is an occupational hazard" Naruto looked ready to argue but he nodded "fine let's go"
The four Kumo shinobi nodded and leapt off towards Yugito's last known location
On the border of the Land of lightning and the land of steam Shisui and Kisame walked across the sands of the lightning desert with an unconscious Yugito slung fireman style over Kisames shoulder
The two Akatsuki members walked until they reached the shaded trees of the land of steam
Kisame let out a relieved sigh "finally we're out of that cursed sand pit" the former Kiri shinobi said happily "makes me glad we weren't the ones assigned to capture the Ichibi right Shisui"
Shisui said nothing instead he continued to walk silently in front of him
"So what do you think our next assignment will be maybe we'll get to go to your old village and track down the new Kyubi jinchuriki or maybe to Takigakure"
"Shut up Kisame" Shisui ordered Kisame nodded and the two continued to walk in silence for the next hour reaching a cliff Shisui made a series of hand signs ending on the ram sign
"Kai" Shisui yelled out a glowing barrier briefly became visible before the side of the cliff sank into the ground revealing a hidden cave Kisame and Shisui walked into the cave as the cliff wall rose up behind them cloaking the two Akatsuki members in darkness
Kisame set Yugito down and made his own series of hand signs before slamming his hand against the ground "summoning jutsu" he called out
Balls of blue flame appeared along the perimeter of the cave illuminating the cave and the eight figures hidden in shadows standing around a long stone altar surrounded by nine torches two of the torches were lit with eerie red flames
The man in the mask nodded "excellent work Kisame Shisui place the jinchuriki in the center and we will begin the extraction process" Kisame and Shisui nodded
Kisame picked up Yugito bridal style placing her in front of one of the unlit torches before he stood next to Shisui in a circle with the rest of the Akatsuki members
"we will now begin the ritual a warning it will take seventy two hours to complete so make sure you are in a place you will not be found easily"
"Yes sir" nine voices echoed the masked man nodded "good then let us begin" he said forming the dragon hand sign
"Sealing art flames of the forsaken empress" chakra rose up from the Akatsuki members and gathered in a giant ball above Yugito before it came crashing down surrounding Yugito in dark red fire
The red fire then moved in a small stream towards the unlit torch next to Yugito
"Yeah Yugito was definitely here" Karui said she Naruto Hinata and Omoi had just arrived at Yugito's last known location hints of upturned earth and sparks of blue fire were everywhere "and she put up one hell of a fight"
"Hinata" Naruto said Hinata nodded and activated her Byakugan "it's faint but I'm detecting two other sources of chakra mixed in with Yugito's and Matatabi it's heading west towards either the land of frost or the land of steam"
Omoi nodded "lucky for us Kumo shinobi are allowed to travel through those nations we won't have any issues with foreign shinobi" he said before he frowned when Naruto and Kauri gave him deadpan looks "other than the ones who attacked Yugito I mean"
Karui shook her head "Kami you're an idiot sometimes" she said before looking to Naruto "what do you want to do from here Naruto"
Naruto bit his thumb and wove through hand signs "summoning jutsu" he called out in a poof of smoke a trio of grey wolves wearing yellow bandanas appeared the largest wolf approached Naruto
"What do you need of the three hunters Brother Naruto" the wolf said bowing his head "Ichimaru my wife has been taken I need you Nimaru and Sanmaru to help me track those who took her"
Ichimaru nodded before he and his brothers sniffed the air and the ground Sanmaru's ears twitched before he howled "we have the scent" Ichimaru said "follow us"
The three hunters broke into a run with Hinata Karui and Omoi hot on their trails
"Hang on Yugito Chan" Naruto said "I'm coming as fast as I can"
And that is the chapter will Naruto and the others make it in time do the Akatsuki have more in store for our young shinobi will I name more of Naruto's summons with redundant names
