Chapter 35: Phinleys and Bowling

They got back to the cottage and began to get ready to go out for dinner. They wanted to take showers after the pool. Sebastian came out of the bathroom, towel around his waist and trying to dry his hair with another. Kurt was already dressed, hair still dripping. Sebastian came up behind him and slipped his arms around his waist.

"Hi," he whispered in his ear.

"Hey," he said leaning his head back on to Sebastian's shoulder. "You need to get dressed. We're going to some place called Phinley's. We asked Jason but he's going to see his girlfriend. And Wayde has to work, I offered to wait for him but Shelly said it was okay." he shrugged.

"Fine, I'll put clothes on," he said in mock defeat.

Once they were dressed the went and got Jeff and Nick. Bridget and Shelly were waiting for them. They decided to take Jason's car since his girlfriend had picked him up. Shelly didn't have a car. They got to the restaurant and luckily didn't have to wait long before being seated.

"Is the food good here?" Sebastian asked.

"I like it a lot." Shelly answered, "we ate here once a year when I was younger." she told them.

Kurt gave a confused look, "Once a year?" he asked.

"I lived on the other end of the island." she explained. "Beautiful place called Souris on the East end. It means mice in french. The town was infested by rats years and years ago. they're all gone now and it's really pretty." she assured them.

"Oh," he said, understanding crossing his face.

"I actually lived just outside of Souris, and we came down to Charlottetown once or twice a year to visit. When Bridgette was 5 we moved here." she smiled, "and we really liked it here."

The waitress came with their menu's and asked what they wanted to drink.

"What're you going to have?" Sebastian asked Kurt.

"Jake's burger I think. It's got egg, bacon, cheese. And, it honestly looks like the best thing on the menu." he laughed.

"I think I'll get the third one on the right?" Sebastian pointed.

"Ew, the hot sauce burger, gross." Bridgette said.

"Bridgette," her mother said.

"It's fine, Shelly," Sebastian said shaking his head, "I'll eat what I like thank you very much." he said turning his attention to Bridgette.

"Gross," she said under her breath. "I'm getting what Kurt's getting. I want to try the weird sauce they put on it." she said.

"I think I'll get the fish and chips." Jeff announced.

"I hate fish," Nick smiled.

"Not here," Shelly said, shaking her head. "Prince Edward Island has the best fish and meat. It's all bought locally. Nothing is done to it and our animals are fed how they should be."she told them. We have the best lobster."

"Still, not a big fish fan," Nick laughed. "I'll get the barbecue hot sauce burger." he said grinning at Sebastian.

"I think I'll get the 3-way scallops." Shelly decided.

The waitress came and got their order a few minutes later.

"So, Kurt what do you like doing?" Shelly asked.

"I sing like Sebastian." he smiled. "It's what I love, I want to be on Broadway one day."

"No way, you like Broadway?" Bridgette asked, "Seb, what the hell? Why didn't you tell me? Les Mis is like my favorite musical of all time, followed quickly by Chicago." she said happily.

"Really?" Kurt asked surprised, knowing Rachel would love this girl. "What do you think of Wicked?" he asked.

"Haven't seen it," she told him, "I read the story line though and it sounds... weird. But a good weird," she answered.

"Oh, you must see it. It's incredible." he beamed.

"Maybe when I go to New York. I want to go one day." she told him.

"Oh, it's lovely there. Gorgeous." he told her.

"You've been to New York? "she asked in shock.

He nodded.

"I loved it. I went with my show choir."

"Oh my god, what did you do?" she asked bouncing in her seat.

"Bridgette, calm down," Shelly said looking around the restaurant.

Jeff and Nick had stopped listening and were talking in lower voices to each other.

"Sorry," she said embarrassed.

Kurt smiled at the girl. Her excitement was contagious.

"Well, I ate at Tiffany's, sang on a Broadway stage, spent the entire time with my best friend Rachel." his eyes gleamed.

"Aw, that sounds amazing." she commented.

"It was," he nodded, smiling at Sebastian who was listening.

They continued talking about different things till their food came. They talked through supper as well. finally stopping once they reached the cottage.

"I have to get to sleep early." Bridgette said. "I have a friend I email in Iran. She used to live her but moved and her timezone's different so I get up early." she explained.

"Night." Sebastian and Kurt called.

"Wow, she's really great." Kurt said as they went to their room.

"Yeah, she is. I love her."

They woke up late the next morning. It was almost noon.

"Morning, Sebastian." Kurt said, since he had already got up and get some cereal.

"Afternoon," he groaned, "Why didn't you wake me?" he asked.

"Because Bridgette went to get a sharpie to draw on your face and I knew that would wake you up," he shrugged with a grin plastered to his face.

"Jackass," he whispered.

Bridgette came out holding a black sharpie.

"I found," her eyes landed on Sebastian, "nothing. I found nothing." she said, trying to contain her laughter.

"Hand it over," he held his hand out.

"No, it's mine." She said, putting it in her pocket.

"I thought you loved me?" Sebastian asked.

"I do, but come on it would've been funny." she laughed.

"No, it would have been mean." he said sitting down.

"Don't mind him, he's grouchy when he wakes up," Kurt teased.

"I am not," he argued grabbing the apple juice from the middle of the table and pouring himself some. "Where are thing 1 and thing 2?" he asked.

"Nick and Jeff?" Kurt questioned, "they're out on the balcony." he told him.

Kurt was glad they had decided to bring them. he wanted them to work this out and the island seemed to be helping.

"What do you wanna do today?" Bridgette asked.

"Why don't we go bowling?" Sebastian suggested, knowing Bridgette loved it.

"Awesome, and Tyler still works there." she said happily.

"Man, I haven't talked to Tyler in forever. How is he?" Sebastian asked.

"Really good." she smiled.

"Who's Tyler?" Kurt asked curiously.

"A friend of her brothers that I became friends with on my trip." Sebastian told him, "I'm sure you'll like him." he grinned.

"Cool, I can't wait to meet him." Kurt smiled.

Sebastian excused himself to use the washroom. Sebastian took out his phone to text Tyler.

Code One- Sebastian.

You're in town? -Tyler

Yes, and it's a code one, okay? -Sebastian

No worries, I'll play nice and won't say a thing. -Tyler

Sebastian sighed and went back to the table, finishing talking with Kurt and Bridgette before agreeing to all get ready and head out.

They finally got to The Murphy's Center, which was where the bowling alley was. Tyler was at cash. Since Tyler was Jason's friend Bridgette saw him a lot and had become good friends with him.

"Hey Tyler," she waved as they entered.

"Hey, girly. You didn't tell me that your cousin was coming down," he said as she hopped up on the counter to sit as she talked to him. "And, you're not supposed to be on the counter." he reminded.

"Oh, come on, there's no one here anyway." she said. "And, yeah Seb and his boyfriend Kurt are outside, give them a minute." she grinned.

"Okay, size seven right?" he asked.

"Yep." she nodded as Sebastian and Kurt entered.

"Hey, bro," Sebastian called, "how you been?" he asked brightly.

"Great, you?" he questioned.

"Good, Tyler this is my boyfriend, Kurt," he introduced.

"Hey," Tyler shook the kids hand.

Holy shit, this bitch is a total twink. Where the hell did Bas find this guy? Tyler thought to himself.

"Hello," Kurt smiled at him.

"What sizes?" Tyler asked politely.

"12 and 10," Sebastian said.

"No problem," he said handing them over.

They got set up in their ally, Tyler watching everything closely.
