"Dean. You guys are going to be late!" Steph yelled at us in the garage.
"We are on schedule. We're just missing one person." Dean said as he turned toward me. "Z, where's Roman?!" I shrugged my shoulders.
"Dean, calm down man." Seth said.
"I need my Samoan now! Rome!?" I snapped.
"It's too early in the morning for all of this yelling. Shut up!" I yelled at Dean.
"Where is he?" He asked me, and I rolled my eyes.
"What are you? His wife?" I said, and he fumed at me. Roman finally showed up.
"Finally!" We all said in unison. I grabbed a bag and threw it in the trunk. The boys are riding separate from the girls.
"Are you okay Z? You seem a little crabby." Kate asked me.
"No, I didn't get much sleep last night."
"Same." Paige chimed in and I raised an eyebrow at her.
"Your reason is totally different from mine, my child." She giggled and blushed.
"Okay. Then what is your reason for barely getting sleep." Kate asked.
"It's hard to sleep when there is a 265-pound tipsy Samoan laying on you and crushing your diaphragm." Kate looked at me with sympathy.
"Seth did the same thing to me, but he is a lot lighter than Roman." She put her hand on my shoulder. "Do you want me to take the first shift?"
"No, I got it, but thanks though."
"Are we going to get something to eat?" Dean yelled once again from across the garage.
"Yes! We are going to get you some fries, so you can shut your trap!" I yelled back. We all piled in the cars and took off to the diner. I looked in the mirror at Paige and did a small smile. "So, my dear, how does it feel to be Mrs. Dean Ambrose?" She looked up from her magazine and smiled at me.
"It feels wonderful. I'm happy. Truly, without a shadow of doubt happy." I looked at Kate and she smiled.
"We're happy for you too."
At the Diner:
"I love fries." Dean stated.
"We know." Kate responded with a giggle.
"It doesn't even matter what type they are. I like curly fries, steak fries, even seasoned fries."
"Seasoned fries are delicious." Seth chimed in. Roman's phone decided to go off in the middle of the French fries' conversation.
"Oh hell." We looked at him.
"What is it?" I asked. He turned his phone around and we saw the article. It was about Dean and Paige getting married. "How?!" I asked. Dean scrolled through the article and shook his head.
"A picture."
"What picture?" Kate asked. We turned the phone around and it was a picture of Dean and Paige holding hands and they had on their wedding rings. I knew cameras were high tech, but damn. That's a great camera.
"Oh well. It is what it is." I said, and Dean shook his head violently.
"Why not?" Roman asked.
"I didn't tell mom." Roman eyes got a little bit wide and Seth choked on a fry that he stole from Dean's plate.
"You didn't tell mom?!" Roman whispered yelled. "Mom's going to kill you." Me and the girls looked very confused.
"Um, Rome, why is your mom going to kill Dean?" Dean looked at me.
"Because she's also my mom. Roman and I are brothers. Legally."
"What?" Paige asked.
"My birth mother…Well the woman who gave birth to me, she uh, she abandoned me on a doorstep at a church when I was three. I was then bounced around from home to home until I ran away. I was 16 at the time. I did work a few jobs, so I had some type of money saved up. I took a train to Florida and there I found a group home for teens and I liked it there. They took me from my foster parents in Ohio and I was transferred to the group home. They registered me at the local high school. Right away, I didn't fit in. I was different, and people could pick up on that. Almost immediately I was shunned as an outsider. I didn't have friends and I was picked on every day until one day I tried to stand up for myself, which lead me to get jumped by a group of guys. While I was getting my ass kicked, I heard someone yell for them to leave me alone. They backed off and that person helped me up. It was Roman. Of course, at that time, Roman was one of the most popular boys at the school. He tried to help me, but I told him that I didn't need his help. Being the pain in the ass that he is, he didn't back off. He didn't live far from the school, so he took me to his house and his mom patched up my wounds. She did not pry, all she did was give me food and some clean clothes. I was getting ready to leave when Roman asked me if I wanted to play video game. We played until it was time for me to head back to the home. We started hanging out every day until I finally told his family everything. Considering I was always at their house, his parents already considered me one of theirs and his siblings basically adopted me as one of theirs as well. A month before my 17th birthday, his parents offered to adopt me. They wanted to become my legal guardians and I was more than happy to say yeah. So, they did but I wanted to keep my original name and they were okay with that. A few months after it was taken care of, I found my mother. She was clean, married, and she had 3 more children. I wanted to meet her because I didn't really remember her that much. They were okay with me doing so. I met her, but she didn't want anything to do with me. She told me that I was her past and I need to stay that way. Surprisingly, it didn't hurt that much because I knew that I had a family that truly loved me and who I could go back to."
"Wow." I whispered.
"Oh Dean." Kate said, and she put her hand on top of his.
"It's okay you guys. I'm not ashamed of my past. I just don't tell people about it. Then of course, we met Seth when we started training for wrestling. The rest is history. Speaking of history, let me call mom before she kills me." Before he could get up, his phone rang. Roman raised an eyebrow and smirked.
"Too late." Dean glared at him and gingerly answered the phone.
"Hello?" He said softly.
"DEAN JONATHAN AMBROSE! HOW DARE YOU GET MARRIED AND NOT TELL YOUR MOTHER?!" He looked at us.
"I better take this outside." He walked out of the diner.
"Thank you." Paige finally said.
"Huh?" I said.
"Roman, thank you." He looked confused.
"For what?"
"Saving Dean. Without you and your family, who knows where he'd be." Roman did a small smile.
"It's no problem. Like he said, he's my brother."
