Chapter Thirty Eight: Part 2 – The Rescue
The group was still gathered in the rather badly lit billiard room in the castle, everyone had now convened inside to either sulk or say hello to the newly returned Timmy. At first glance you wouldn't be able to tell it was him, aside from the glasses a hundred little things had changed about him; he'd gone, in Stella's words, savage. Mostly unharmed but still pale, light orange hair ruffled in all directions, still wearing the ragged Red Fountain body suit and with a slight crack in his glasses. Bigger c hanged was the necklace of animal teeth draped around d his neck; red and yellow face paint and small little feather weaved into his short hair. Everyone had been so shocked at first glance that the whole room had gone into a stunned silence, all people staring wide eyed at their nerdy friend. He on the other hand was staring very shyly back at them, constantly readjusting his glasses until finally "So ugh...it's nice being back. How is everyone?"
Riven was the first to speak "What. The hell. Happened?"
Brandon was second, explaining a small "Dude!" In disbelief, blinking repeatedly.
Timmy looked nervous and wary now "Well-I'm...I'm okay"
"Okay?!" Riven yelled, gesturing a hand at his friend.
Flora spoke up, sounding anxious "When I last saw you, you were in a cage!"
Stella spoke next "We all thought you'd been eaten by now and that they were wearing your bones as a fashion accessory. Which is something I see that they're into" She pointed to the animal tooth necklace.
Florance snorted from beside Timmy where she stood "We're not cannibals!"
"No but seriously" Brandon insisted "What happened?"
Timmy sighed edgily and looked down; adjusting the glasses "I'm really okay. After a while in the cage they let me out and let me walk around the camp, I learned a lot while I was there"
Florance held up a hand to stop him "Meaning he bugged us with all his questions until we finally let him out, personally I found his awkward nervousness amusing, so we let him into tribe life" She smiled slightly "And it was hilarious"
Flora shook her head at the woman "You are so awful!"
Florance shrugged with a smile.
Riven stepped forward "Okay, so you were free, why didn't you just escape and come back here?!"
Florance laughed this time "You really think my warriors are so lax, we'd let a scrawny thing like him slip through our defences? Not on my watch"
Flora shook her head again "Awful"
"Where's Techna, by the way? I thought she'd be here" Timmy asked innocently, as soon as the words left him everyone was startled into silence. They all silently debated on how to tell him that they hadn't seen her in about a week and a half, that she was lost out there with layla, looking for the rest of their group. And how they were supposed to tell him of the impossible odds that they'd be successful in their mission?
Flora spoke carefully "She's...out looking for Sky, Helia, Tatianna and Nabu. She not alone, she's with Layla and the last time she checked in she said they were fine" She skipped the part where that had been days ago and an army of darkness hadn't been plundering the land by the witches doing.
"But we have a different problem now" Bloom added, effectively cutting off all his expected questions "The witches have taken EB...and she'd our only way home"
Timmy looked alarmed but didn't say anything, Brandon then added "We were gonna go rescue her but that plan has a lot of holes"
Timmy blinked and cleared his throat, going into Specialist mode "What kind of holes?"
Scarlet rolled her eyes "Personally I think it's a pretty stupid idea to do this plan if we don't know what we're getting ourselves into"
"We don't even know where the witch's lair of doom is" Musa spoke up from where she'd been sitting quietly.
Flora spoke next "We're all tired to the bone, not really in any condition to go fighting the witches"
"We could definitely be walking into another trap" Stella mused quietly.
Scarlet spoke last "And that's why this is a very stupid idea"
Timmy was silently taking this all in until he said "Well all we really need is Tatianna"
Scarlet and Saloria both groaned while Medusa smiled and chirped happily "Yes! I like this guys thinking!"
Saloria spoke in a hopeless tired voice "We don't even know where Tatianna is!"
"Then we'll find her" Timmy suggested easily with a shrug.
"How?" Musa asked curiously.
Timmy looked around for a moment "Well...you know...magic?"
Everyone veered back slightly. Medusa, who for once looked startled, said "You mean...me?"
Timmy nodded "If you can"
Scarlet snorted "If there was anything Medusa could do to get her only friend in the world back, she would have done it by now"
Medusa looked deep in thought "For once, the pet is right" Scarlet rolled her eyes and glared "But! That was then, this is now" Medusa reached inside the pocket of her long coat to pull out a small object, the little spell book they'd recovered from Valtor's house in the future.
Musa looked unimpressed "A little book is gonna find Tatianna?"
Medusa turned to glare at her "This little book is the most powerful the second most powerful object in this time, it has the power to vanquish the witches, find Tatianna, find your little friends and maybe even fix that sour little attitude of yours!"
"Can it save EB?" Bloom demanded anxiously.
Medusa smiled wickedly at her "Oh indeed it can.
"Well what are we waiting for?!" Stella yelled, a smile forming "Let's get our magic on!"
...
"What is this?!" Saloria demanded in a voice of disbelief. Medusa had led them up into a tower in the castle until they'd reached a small round room, filled to the brim with book shelves, shelves filled with herbs and other strange objects and a table in the centre with a purple stone in the middle the size of a watermelon "You've turned my mother's sewing room into a place of dark magic!"
Medusa shrugged defensively as she walked around the room fetching stuff from shelves while everyone else piled in "We'll where did you want me to set up my magic stuff, the kitchen?"
"Whoa" Stella mumbled as she entered and took in the room "Like being right back at Alfea potions lab"
"The new one or the one you blew up?" Musa asked with a smile. Stella did nothing but smiled at her teasingly and stuck her tongue out.
Bloom stalked right in and spoke to Medusa "That book, can it find Sky as well?"
Medusa reached over and patted her on the arm "Let's just find Tatianna first, then we'll deal with your marital issues"
Medusa gathered the book in her hands and stood in front of the crystal on the table, reading over the words "Blah blah blah, yadda yadda...Ah! Here it is! It's simple enough, although I can only use the spell once every month" She shrugged and began unscrewing a jar of red dust "All we need is a little diamond dust, some blessed water and a tear of the lost person"
"A tear of the lost person?" Musa asked dubiously "Where are you gonna find one of Tatianna's tears?"
Medusa didn't answer and pulled a small vial out of her pocket and held it up, a small clear liquid inside. Musa looked appalled "Why are you carrying around a tear from your friend?"
"You never know when it's gonna come in handy, now back off!"
Timmy leaned over to Brandon and whispered "Who is that lady?"
Brandon smirked "Medusa, the only person here with magic and let me tell you man..." Brandon caught sight of Riven's glare at him "She's just a delight"
Medusa had just sprinkled the tear, dust and water onto the crystal and leaned forward when it started to glow "Okay, let's see what we've got"
Flora nudged Stella in the arm "I don't remember ever doing magic this way"
Stella looked at the crystal "I guess it's really old school"
Medusa smiled and exclaimed loudly "There's my girl! Out in the middle of the desert, oh I bet she went and got her talisman for us, smart little thing. Isn't she the best?" Medusa leaned in closer "Oooh, it looks like she's been in some kind of fight recently, and she's not alone either"
"Who's she with?" Brandon asked quickly.
Medusa clicked her fingers "That hippy guy with the gorgeous dark locks of hair"
"That's Helia!" Flora screamed and jumped on the spot, rushing over to get a look in the crystal but seeing nothing "Is he okay? How's he look?"
Medusa pushed her gently away "Okay back away, I have to find the transportation spell" She began flipping through pages, in the meantime an excited chatted began in the room, everyone feeling their spirits rise at the prospect of getting reunited with yet another friend that day.
Before even half a minute passed Medusa had quickly flipped pages, throwing dust and water, waved a hand and suddenly the room had two more occupants, appearing in a puff of purple smoke. There was a cough and Tatianna's voice rang out in all its British glory "Well finally! I've been waiting for you to cast that bloody spell for hours, get me the devil out of that desert!"
Medusa smiled happily than any of them had ever seen her and stretched out her arms "Annie!" In the blink of an eye she had enveloped the blind Techna double in a tight hug.
The woman coughed again "Don't call me that" But embraced her back anyway.
The smoke finally cleared right away and Flora was bolting forward into the startled looking Helia and jumping into his arms with a squeal of delight "You're alive!"
"Flora?" Helia asked, startled but hugged her back in disbelief.
"Welcome back man!" Brandon yelled happily at his friend but stayed there. The rest of them called out greetings while Flora continued to hug and not let go of her husband.
"I'm so glad you're back!" She yelled happily, feeling tears pool in her eyes, not even caring that there was a roomful of people surrounding them. She took in every inch of him, he looked worn out, slightly tan, hair askew and confused.
"I'm glad I'm back too...I just don't know how I got here" He replied, muffled by her shoulder.
Flora smiled and hugged him tighter "Medusa brought you both back so Tatianna could help us rescue EB"
Helia still looked confused "Oh"
Tatianna stepped out of Medusa's hug and 'looked around', after a moment she spoke "Oh god, the future just went all wacky and blurred, what have you brought me into Medusa?"
Stella stepped forward "So you must be Tatianna, Techna's ancestor, we've heard a lot about you"
Tatianna turned her head in Stella's direction and didn't speak for a moment, she then laughed.
Stella looked startled "What?"
Tatianna shook her head and kept laughing "Nothing, just laughing at your future"
Stella looked horrified "What?! What do you see? What's funny?"
Tatianna's mouth quirked happily "You'll see"
Stella started open mouthed at the woman; she looked over at Helia who shot her a sympathetic look "Annoying, isn't it?"
Medusa turned Tatianna to face her "Listen dear, we need your help. There's a girl out there that's been kidnapped by those pesky witches, we need her back"
Tatianna pursed her lips "Why should I?"
They were all a little surprised that someone actually turned down a request from medusa, the woman herself got a pouty look on her face "Because she's the only girl to come from the future that I actually like!" When Tatianna didn't speak and reached out and shook her "Please!"
Tatianna sighed heavily and shook her off "Oh fine! And here I was hoping the only thing I'd have to do was go get my talisman and bring it back"
"You got it?" Medusa asked excitedly.
Tatianna didn't speak but pulled out a small hourglass, it glittered in the poor light. Medusa took it and whooped "Three out of six, we're halfway there!"
Tatianna groaned and stepped away from her "Oh, I forgot how excitable you are"
Musa crept forward to talk to the blink woman "Hi, I'm Musa. Medusa's decedent. Listen, do you happen to see where your descendant Techna is, she's been missing for a while"
"Missing?!" Timmy exclaimed at the door. There was a general shushing.
Tatianna didn't speak but 'stared' at Musa, those bandages covering her eyes and giving her an eerie quality. Abruptly her mouth gave a strange pop and she said "You're gonna die alone" She then walked past Musa to the door with ease "I'm going to go take a nap, alert me when my services are needed"
Musa stood where she was with her mouth slightly open and a terrified look on her face, Medusa came up beside her and patted her arm "Cheer up, other me. Tatianna sometimes likes to be misleading and lie...sometimes"
Brandon cleared his throat loudly and got everyone's attention "So we've got the future seeing lady, we're all feeling better about the plan, there's only one problem"
"Oh do tell" Scarlet mumbled sourly from across the room, her and Saloria looking particularly edgy around the magic room.
"How are we actually gonna get there?" Brandon asked curiously.
Medusa smiled at him and twinned her fingers together "Oh just leave it to me" She shot out of hand over the crystal and it glowed bright purple and red, blinding everyone in the room temporarily, it was loud and very startling. Over their startled cries a strange metal thud was heard outside, along with various screams of surprise. The screams continued until they cut off and everything was left in silence.
"What the hell did she just do?" Saloria asked anxiously.
...
Scarlet and Saloria stood open mouthed at the steel monstrosity that stood, rather conspicuously, in their front yard. It was a ship summoned right from Magix; it was sleek and black without the usual bulk of a transport ship. This ship looked more like it was ready to take out an army; it had a small pilot room at the front with a bigger room behind that as the main part of the ship. Even all the way in the castle they could hear people yelling out and gasping in awe of the thing from yards away, it glittered in the weak sunlight and stood menacingly tall, looking like it could crash through a wall. Scarlet frowned and whirled around to look at Medusa "What is it?"
Riven was the first to speak, a slight awe note in his tone "The S-R-71 Blackbird, equipped with frontal laser mechanisms, all around shielding, capable of mock ten and an altitude of eighty five thousand feet"
A small silence, then "So you can operate it?" Saloria asked dubiously.
Another silence, Timmy answering this time "Ah no"
"No?" Scarlet yelled in disbelief. She whirled around and glared at Medusa "You brought the wrong one, you idiot!" She gestured a hand quickly at the ship "Take it back, bring another one!"
Medusa looked insulted "No!"
Scarlet looked even more outraged "No?!"
Medusa crossed her arms and glared "You think I can just pop it back? You try bringing things back and forth from different dimensions, it's not like changing a wheel on your cart, this is inter-dimensional transferring! It is not easy!"
Brandon held out a hand to stop her yelling "Look, its fine. One of us should know the basics of how it's done; it can't be any different to the ships we usually operate, right Timmy?"
Timmy looked weary and readjusted his glasses "This is a twelfth generation Blackbird, Specialists were taught to operate a whole different class of ship, the hydraulics alone would take days to learn"
Flora sighed heavily and looked at the ground "We can't give up, there's got to be a way"
Timmy ran a quick hand through the hair on the back of his head "Maybe I can tweak with the controls and see if I can change the way it operates"
Bloom pursed her lips "And this'll take a couple of days, right?"
Timmy didn't answer but his expression said it all. The doors to the foyer swung open and out jogged Stella and Musa, both looking bright eyed at the ship, Stella spoke first "Woo hoo! It's about time we stopped all this walking everywhere crap, time to take down the witches in style!"
Musa looked curious and placed her hands on her hips, having let go of Tatianna's pervious little prediction "That thing looks familiar, where have I seen it before?"
"You can't have seen it before" Riven replied in his usual sour voice "It's a twelfth generation Blackbird; it was only released to the public two weeks ago"
"Oh yeah" Musa mumbled distractedly "You were really looking forward to that" She clicked her fingers as if trying to think of something "But I've seriously seen it somewhere before, a couple of years ago"
Stella gasped and slapped Musa on the arm "Oh! Our escape mission out of Priam"
Musa nodded "Thank you! Yeah I flew a Blackbird in Priam when Valtor sent us out there one time, smooth ride"
Brandon, Timmy, Helia and Riven all looked at her with different levels of shock and anger; Riven spoke through clenched teeth "You stole a Blackbird?"
The smile Musa had on slipped a little "Maybe..."
Medusa slapped her hands together once and walked inside "Good! You can be our pilot" With that a purple swirl of magic appeared and a large book dropped heavily into Musa's hands, she swayed with the weight of it, it was the size of a basketball.
"What is this?"
"The Manual" Medusa called from inside.
"What-no, I can't fly that thing!"
"You flew it once before" Riven replied, he turned to follow Medusa.
Musa shook her head vigorously "Okay when I said fly it, I meant I held a gun to the back of the pilots head and told him where to go" When she caught the startled looks of the guys again she yelled "Oh come on, we've done far worse and yet this surprises you!"
Stella smiled sympathetically at her and patted her arm "Good luck, kiddo"
As Saloria stepped inside the door she called back at her "We'll leave at sundown, you've got until then"
...Sundown
Scarlet stood with her arms crossed as she watched the sun set through the window, her mouth in a first line and her features anxious "I can't go"
"We're going" Saloria replied, sitting on her golden king sized bed as she tied up her fighting boots.
Scarlet bit her lip and watched with dread as the sun lowered further into the horizon "I don't want to go!"
Saloria sighed heavily "Scarlet, we're going!"
Scarlet let out the deep breath she'd been holding, her whole body tightening with tension, she ground her teeth together "This is a bad idea"
Saloria stood up and began bundling her golden hair into her hands to plait it at the side "I'm sure you'll live"
Scarlet spoke seriously "Oh I know I'll live, but will they?"
Saloria frowned and looked at the ground "We just have to take that chance"
...
Stella walked into the empty library to find Bloom sitting alone, leafing through books aimlessly, not even reading the words. Her friend continued to look disconnected and depressed, about EB and Sky. Stella stuck her hands in her pockets and asked "So where'd Flora and Helia run off too?"
"They're getting 'reacquainted' upstairs" Bloom replied as she continued to turn pages.
"Oh" Stella said, feeling awkward "But it's good that he's back. And that we have Tatianna. We can go rescue EB and then later use Medusa's spell book to find the rest of our friends"
Bloom still didn't look up "I hope you're right about that"
Stella sighed, defeated "Bloom, please don't be like this. Gods, you're like me on public holidays when the malls are closed"
"I'm sorry" Bloom sighed, finally looking up "I just need to be calm and stay focused, I can't get emotional now, not when we're about to go knock on the witches door. If I get sad or angry or anything like that, I'll be no use to EB"
Stella sat down beside her "EB knows you're coming for her. And in my experience, you were always at your scariest when you were angry about something; use that Dragon fire to burn up some enemies"
"We don't have powers, I don't have the Dragon fire" Bloom replied, smiling easily at her friend.
Stella angled her head to the side "Still, we should find something to piss you off, better than this mopey attitude"
At that moment Flora walked into the room, freshly changed into fighting gear, hair tied back, she looked anxious.
Stella leaned back in her chair and smiled "Aw Flora, you didn't have to get ready just yet, you could have gone once more or snuggled for a good half an hour-ouch!"
Bloom had slapped Stella on the arm "You'll embarrass her!"
Flora seemed to not have heard them and reached the table, twirling her fingers together nervously "So umm, me and Helia were talking about Sky..."
"Interesting pillow talk" Stella mumbled, earning herself another slap.
"Stop it!" Bloom said, fighting back a smile. She turned back to Flora with a laugh "Go on Flo"
Flora looked anywhere but at Bloom "So...as it turns out...Sky was with Helia and Tatianna in the desert"
All humour vanished from Bloom's face "Where is he now then?"
"Ummmmm" Flora sang warily, looking up at the ceiling "He might have gotten captured by the witches"
All blood drained from Bloom's face as she stood up slowly, hands balling into fists, a fiery rage exploding inside her "When?"
Flora swallowed nervously "About an hour before we cast the spell"
Bloom kicked the chair she was sitting on across the room and flipped the table over with a cry of rage, sending books scattering as she stalked from the room. Stella sat frozen in her seat with wide eyes "Okay I take back what I said about getting her pissed off"
...
Medusa observed her nails "How's this all going to play out?"
She turned to look expectantly at Tatianna who was sitting at her dressing table and drying her hair, the pinks locks wet from her bath. She was dressed in a simple cream shift with bare feet, the bandages gone from her face, leaving only her open blank eyes "You know I can't see that far ahead without more decisions being made to determine the outcome"
Medusa rolled her eyes "Oh come on! You at least get a sense of what's coming, tell me!"
Tatianna sighed heavily and looked off into the distance, tapping her fingers against the dresser; a small smile came to her face. She turned and picked up a jar of white powder from the table "You'll need this afterwards"
Medusa frowned "After what?"
The door to the room burst open and hit the wall loudly, Tatianna not even surprised but Medusa was, she'd just whirled around to face the intruder. She caught sight of red hair when a sudden force hit the side of her cheek "Oh! Oh my gods!" She cried, holding her face while she crouched over in her seat "Ow my face!" She turned to look at Tatianna "Why didn't you warn me?!"
Tatianna was smiling as she observed her nails behind blind eyes "That's what you get when you get nosy about the future"
Bloom breathed hard as she looked down at the woman, fists balled up "You should have done the spell earlier!"
Medusa looked up at her, still cradling her cheek "What?"
"Sky was captured by the witches an hour before you cast the spell. You had all the time when we got back here to cast it but you waited until it came up in conversation, if you'd done it the moment we got back, Sly would be here with us, safe!"
Medusa rolled her eyes "Oh my gods, is that it?"
Bloom surged forward to attack when a strong hand seized the back of her shirt; Bloom yelled in anger as Riven pulled her away and marched her out of the room "Riven!"
"Nope" He said emotionless.
Bloom swung at him "But she-"
"No"
Bloom grabbed his hand and tried to get him to release her "I'll kill her!"
"No you won't"
...
As the doors to the chamber shut on the yelling Bloom and stone cold Riven, Medusa frowned and turned to Tatianna "You knew Sky was gonna get captured, didn't you?"
Tatianna was brushing her hair quietly "Of course I did"
Medusa arched an eyebrow at her "And you did nothing to stop it"
Tatianna put down the brush "Trust me, he'll do more good there than he will here" She turned and held out the power to Medusa "Here, I told you you'll need it.
...
Musa eyed the controls of the ship obsessively, behind her she could hear everyone in the back room of the ship, getting strapped in to take off. She had the giant manual open in her lap with the earmuffs on her ears, hearing the ships interface speaking mechanically to her. She'd affectionately named the interface Beth. For the last hours of the afternoon and sunset she'd been in this chair pouring over the manual, chewing on her lip and hoping to gods she didn't kill them all, now it was time to see if she paid enough attention. Flying ships was always either Timmy's or Riven's job, she never knew they were placed under such pressure. There was about a million buttons set out before her, with a single steering semi circle wheel in front of her, her seat pushed forward and the harness keeping her firmly in place. She heard footsteps on the floor and the automatic door open behind her, the voices in the back room louder as she heard Brandon speak "How's it going captain?"
"It's going" She replied, turning a page in the book "They all settled back there?"
"Scarlet and Saloria are holding on for dear life, Medusa is at the edge of her seat with excitement, Tatianna is desperately trying to see if we crash, Bloom seems strangely lively and eager to kick some witch ass, Flora and Helia are in love, Riven is voicing his doubt over your pilot skills, Timmy is nervous as all hell, I'm trying to keep everyone together and Stella...well she's just beautiful. How're you?"
Musa pursed her lips doubtfully "If I can get us to the witch's lair in one piece, you all owe me an awesome DJ station when we get home"
Brandon nodded and smiled "Roger that. Let's take it away!"
The door slid shut and Musa was left alone, her nerves like a live wire "Okay. Here we go" She cracked her knuckles and hesitantly pressed a button, the engine smoothly roared to life, the controls lighting up and vibrations going through the ship. She let go of her breath and pressed another, she felt a buckle from the ship as Beth informed her that the wheels were safely up inside the ship, with the knowledge that they were floating on air Musa slowly pushed forward on the wheel. The ship jerked backwards with terrifying speed and there was a loud crash, screams coming from the back room.
"You just rammed into my castle!" Saloria yelled in outrage.
Musa swore and yelled back "My bad!"
When she tried again, she got it right this time.
...
Musa's knuckles were white as she gripped the wheel tightly, her eyes zooming from radar, to window and back again. Somehow Tatianna had marked the location of the witches lair on the ships maps, Beth was politely telling her she was heading in the right direction but Musa wasn't taking any chances. The ship was going at an alarming speed through the sky and she was nervous as hell, green forests turned into yellow fields, which turned into brown mountains which turned into endless back rocks. The sight of the rocks and the cliffs reminded her of Lord Darkar's castle. The red skies were not helping.
It wasn't until the first wave of monsters that Musa freaked out.
One moment everything was fine and then black crows and bats began crashing right into the ship, blinding Musa and making her swear loudly. The ship began to shudder as she imagined crows getting sucked into the engine and being skewered, killing the engine with them. Alarms went off and Beth's voice sweetly informed her that the engine was operating at 70%. Musa let out a stressed sound and searched the buttons "Okay, wipers...wipers!" She pressed it and the wipers came on to brush the birds away from the window "Woo Hoo!"
Musa sighed in relief until she saw the giant monsters that had come straight from hell to see her, black menacing things with draping skin and giant wings soured through the sky at them. Musa screamed and took hold of the wheel, swinging it to the left, the ship zooming and doing all sorts of flips. Behind the alarms she could heart screaming from the back room, demanding to know what was happening. Sighing she straightened out the ship and pressed the button on her headset "Ladies and gentlemen this is your captain speaking, we've hit a little turbulence but seem to be coming out of it now"
"Turbulence my ass!" A voice yelled back at her.
Beth's voice over the speaker: Obstruction in left engine, left engine has shut down.
"Not now Beth!" Musa yelled, switching off the speaker.
There was a great crash and the ship was sent spiralling to the right, screams echoed as the ground could be seen through the window and they were effectively heading toward it. Musa braced one foot on the dash board with the other just on the roof in line with her head and pulled back on the wheel, grunting as she tried to pull the ship up. A hand reached out and pulled with her, when the ship levelled she heard Riven yell in her hear over the alarms "You're a terrible driver!"
"I am not!" She yelled back.
"Move over!" He demanded, pushing his way onto his half of the seat, the thing big enough for both of them at a tight fit. With her having one hand on the wheel and pressing buttons frantically and him with both his hands trying to fight hers the ship was whirling from one side to the other.
"You don't know how to drive this thing!" She yelled at him.
"Neither do you!"
"I'm better at it than you!" She replied, pulling on the wheel.
Beth's voice over speaker: Shields at 45%. Engines at 63%.
"Shut up Beth!"
"You're gonna get us all killed!" Riven yelled at her, pressing a button and firing off a couple dozen lasers, hitting one or two of the hundred monsters in the sky.
"They'll kill us before I do, give me the wheel!"
"No!"
"Give it!"
"Stupid girl!"
Musa pointed at the radar "Look, only one hundred meters to our destination!"
"Great, how do you land?"
"Ummmmm"
Riven turned to her on shock "You don't know how to land this thing?!"
"I only had four hours to learn to drive it!"
"It should have been one of the first things you looked up" He gestured to the wipers "You know how to use the wipers but landing is beyond you!"
"Shut up you passive aggressive ass!"
Riven groaned and threw the manual at her "Learn it now!"
Musa didn't argue but flipped through pages as the ship jumped and people screamed, at some point smoke began to fill the pit and the glass on the front began to crack but she was too busy reading.
"Get to it, only 50 metres to landing!"
"I'm reading!"
Time passed in heartbeats, as Beth sounded over the speaker: 30 metres to landing. 25. 20.
Musa threw the book and grabbed the wheel "Screw it!" With great strength Musa pulled the ship from going downward to going straight ahead, she hadn't looked up to see the castle but there it was, black and imposing. She few seconds left she steered the ship right into the side of the castle, crashing their way inside. Musa felt like it was eternity until they stopped crashing and spinning, the sound and twisted metal and steep, glass breaking and brick breaking apart. Finally all was silent as Musa and Riven sat in their chair, smoke filling up around them, alarms still going off quietly.
Beth's voice: You have reached your destination.
I hate writing action scenes. Hate it! I wish I had the ability to write short stories.
Hello my darlings! Happy holidays! I LOVE Christmas! I now have free time! Eeeeee! First day of holidays and I'm writing for you! Eeeeeee! I had to laugh at the use of the annoying car navigation system, they are so polite even when you're hopelessly lost and pissed beyond your limit. I also named her Beth because I watch the Walking Dead and I hope to crap that Beth doesn't die, I kinda like her (And Daryl, that goes without saying)
Please post any questions, I'm in the mood to answer them.
P.S Medusa called Tatianna Annie because I couldn't think of a nick name for her, and I'm suppose she couldn't either. So I guess that Medusa just calls her whatever name springs to mind.
REVIEW, PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE WITH A CHRISTMAS CHERRY ON TOP! Xoxoxoxooxo
P.S.S I am sorry to the people who are begging to have Bloom and Sky back together again. It's so unfair, isn't it? I'm angry at myself for not letting it happen but I can be a mean person sometimes.
