And I can already see him making a huge impact in the Buu Saga~ ;)
Be ready for what I hope will be lots of shocking moments coming up soon~ Hope you all enjoy!
"I still don't see why I have to go? I should be training. Not goofing off…."
"I'm sure relaxing just one day won't hurt. And besides, with everyone being so stressed about the tournament, a nice picnic is just what we need," you gently told the annoyed Namekian walking beside you.
Hearing Vitali letting out coos, you smiled down at him since he was moving in your arms, trying to look around at his surroundings. For only being a few days old, you were amazed by just how active he was. He certainly kept you and Piccolo, well mainly you as Piccolo was often off training, busy. You were just grateful for Bulma's help and the fact that she said the two of you were welcome to stay at her home for as long as you needed until Piccolo and you had a place of your own to live.
"Hey, you guys!" Gohan greeted with a large smile, standing up from the blue blanket he had been sitting on when he noticed you both approaching.
You waved cheerfully back at him, shaking your head as Master Roshi seemed to be doing some odd balancing act with multiple white plates that caused those around him to laugh. Yet it was nice to see everyone looking at ease for once and not focusing on the Cell Games that would be taking place in only three more days. You just felt bad Goku and Chichi weren't joining all of you.
"Its so beautiful out here!" you said happily, taking in the fragrant scent of the many cherry trees in the grassy area; there petals blowing in the gentle breeze as one of the blossoms landed on Vitali's nose, making him cutely sneeze.
"Not sure if Vitali likes the park as much as you," Bulma mused, holding baby Trunks in her own arms as she chuckled since your son almost seemed to be glaring at the petal when it drifted away. "Did you have to force your husband here too?"
You smiled sheepishly since Piccolo had gone to stand against a nearby tree, folding his arms over his chest and clearly looking like he'd rather be somewhere else. "Pretty much…Though I'm sure Vegeta was fine coming when you told him about the food~" you said, sending your brother a teasing look while he scowled back at you.
Ever since Vegeta had come back out of the Hyperbolic Time Chamber, it was clear he still wasn't happy about your current relationship with Piccolo. But at least he wasn't screaming at you or randomly blowing up objects, mainly your mate…. Still, you wished he would at least hold Vitali or acknowledge him for that matter…But Bulma said to not take it to heart since she couldn't even get him to hold his own son.
Before Bulma and you could talk any further, you and her both cringed since Krillin had started to randomly sing, no doubt having too much sake to drink, as Master Roshi and Bulma's mother seemed to be the only two who were actually enjoying the performance. Vitali had even hidden his face in your chest while little Trunks was laughing in what seemed to be amusement.
"I just can't stand it any longer!" Vegeta growled out, looking like he was about to fire a Ki blast at Krillin. However, a large egg-shaped space craft was abruptly hovering down from the sky, catching all of your attention; except for Krillin's oddly enough as he continued to bellow out his cringe inducing serenade.
"Would you knock that off!" Piccolo yelled, his own ears starting to hurt as he caused Krillin to squeak from surprise and fall off the box he was standing on.
A small sweat drop rolled down the side of your head from the small comical moment, but you were more concerned about why these many visitors, who's faces were concealed by helmets, had come rushing out of their ship, stopping right in front of Vegeta and oddly enough bowing before him and calling him "Sire"?
"What's the meaning of this?" Vegeta questioned, narrowing his eyes suspiciously.
A muscular man with black spiky hair that stuck straight up, a dark mustache, tan skin and a scar sealing his right eye shut; a white cape draped over his left shoulder while he was garbed in green armor similar to what Saiyan's tended to wear, made his way past the men and toward Vegeta. "At long last! We found you, Prince Vegeta!"
A smirk slowly rose up on Vegeta's lips while he let out a small chuckle. "You're a Saiyan, aren't you?"
"Yes. I am Paragus," the older Saiyan spoke, also kneeling in front of Vegeta. "I've come to graciously ask if you would become the new king of our planet. It's name is New Vegeta in your honor."
"What? A new Planet Vegeta?"
"Yes, my lord. And at long last, we can show the entire universe the strength of our forgotten race the Saiyans!" Paragus proclaimed, standing up as he extended his arms toward the heavens. "And with you as our leader, we can build an unstoppable empire!"
"Hail, Vegeta!" the soldiers chanted in unison.
Vegeta didn't seem fazed at all by the idea of ruling his own planet, even walking away from Paragus after letting out a small "Tch!".
"Of course, you'd have to stop the Legendary Super Saiyan…my lord," Paragus continued with a smile and slightly dark chuckle. "Only you can do this."
Vegeta paused in his steps, staring down at the ground with furrowed brows before saying in a quiet voice, "You found the Legendary Super Saiyan?"
"Yes. He's wreaking havoc all over the South Galaxy with his awesome power. At his current pace, even our New Planet Vegeta that we've strived so hard to build for you would be destroyed."
Gohan who was blinking in confusion, looked up at you. "What's this Legendary Super Saiyan he's talking about?"
You bit your lip since you were still trying to wrap your head around the fact that another Saiyan was still alive, but smiled faintly down at Gohan. "It was a story our father used to tell us when we were kids. He was supposed to be the very first Super Saiyan and possessed unfathomable power that was even greater than Frieza's…Yet because of his power, it left him mad and unable to control it…I never really believed in it, but Vegeta did…."
You gazed at Vegeta's back that was facing all of you, letting out a soft sigh. I suppose back when we worked under Frieza, it's what gave him hope there was a possibility he could surpass Frieza one day by becoming a Super Saiyan himself….
A frown was on Future Trunks face, clearly not buying what Paragus was spouting as he ran up in front of Vegeta. "Father! Your not going to fall for such a story, are you?!"
"Lead the way, Paragus," Vegeta said blandly, completely ignoring his son as he started to make his way for the ship.
Paragus moved in front of Trunks who desperately continued to try and get Vegeta to reconsider. "Of course, you are welcome too, Prince Trunks. After all, you are of royal blood," Paragus told the young teen, his dark eye soon turning on you. "As are you, Princess Selena. I'd be deeply honored if you came to our new planet as well."
You just looked down since you wondered what Vegeta was thinking? If he left and didn't return before the day of the tournament, Cell would destroy the earth… He probably just sees this as another opportunity to increase his own power….
"This whole thing screams suspicion," Piccolo muttered, moving to stand beside you. "I'm guessing you're going to keep an eye on your brother?"
"…Yes. I'm sure Trunks will make sure Vegeta won't get too caught up with this fairy tale, but I don't want to leave it all to him," you said softly, kissing Vitali's forehead before handing the baby over to Piccolo. "Hopefully we won't be gone long."
"Just be careful out there," Piccolo said with a frown, clearly not looking happy about this whole thing.
You looked longingly at Vitali seeing him innocently sucking on his own foot, hating the fact that you were leaving your little one; standing on your tip toes to kiss Piccolo's cheek before saying, "Well if I do end up in trouble, I know you'll sense it," you said with a smile, taking in a breath of air before making your way for the ship.
Seeing Gohan, Krillin, and Oolong trying to keep a drunk Master Roshi from boarding the space craft you shook your head in light amusement; the ramp closing making it where the four ended up tagging along for the ride while Trunks just barely flew in after reassuring his concerned mother he'd bring Vegeta home with him.
You had no idea Vitali had started to cry right when the ship took off, causing the frown on Piccolo's face to deepen as he lightly rocked the bawling infant. "Yeah kid, I know…." he murmured, really hoping this Legendary Super Saiyan was that: just a legend.
Once reaching New Planet Vegeta, Paragus had you all board blue hover cars that began to drive you up a spiraling, and rather dangerous looking, cliff.
"It's been thirty years since our home was destroyed by Frieza. Ever since that day, its been my life's work to build a New Planet Vegeta. Not only for the sake of reuniting the most powerful race in all of history, but as to avenge and honor your father: the distinguished King Vegeta who was regrettably lost in the explosion," Paragus explained in his gruff voice. "Now that you have decided to join us here, Vegeta, my life long wish has finally been fulfilled."
You scratched at your cheek since Vegeta didn't seem the least bit interested in Paragus' tale, but it proved how much your brother had changed. Since in the past, he would have liked nothing more than to rule over his own kingdom. Even the different species of men praising him did nothing to amuse the Saiyan Prince.
"These men have gathered here from the far reaches of the universe in order to serve you, King Vegeta," Paragus told him while leading you into what appeared to be a palace.
A tall and lean, yet still muscular male, with long spiky black hair that reached his mid-back, wearing white pants with a red sash over them and yellow boots; his upper body completely bare while he wore a golden necklace with a blue gem in the center along with a similar golden crown across his forehead and golden bands on his upper arms, watched you all with a rather despondent look on his young, handsome features.
"My only son is at your service, my lord," Paragus said, nodding at the dark eyed male.
"I am Broly," the Saiyan said in a rather light and calm tone that didn't seem to match a normal full blooded Saiyan.
"So I guess you're a Saiyan as well?" Vegeta questioned while he seemed to be studying the taller male.
"Yes, sir," Broly said with a small nod and smile.
You tilted your head since he certainly seemed different from the Saiyan's you remembered on your previous home planet. Actually, he sort of reminded you a little of Goku in a way. His eyes, while almost appearing devoid of any life, seemed more kind than harsh compared to most full blooded Saiyan's.
"Its nice to meet you, Broly. My names Selena, " you greeted, placing your hands behind your back while giving him a warm smile.
"Princess," Broly said with a bow, giving you the same small smile he had sent your brother.
It was odd, but you almost got this familiar feeling when staring at Broly? Yet you were certain you had never met him…You were unable to ponder on it long since a soldier had rushed into the plain stone hallway, informing that the Super Saiyan had been spotted on a nearby planet.
"Alright. I'm going to take care of this Super Saiyan freak right now," Vegeta declared, marching off. "Broly, come with me!"
"Father! We have to collect more intelligence before we act! It's too dangerous!" Trunks cried out, looking at the blue clad warrior like he was insane.
"The only danger lies in standing against me!" Vegeta snapped back, giving Trunks a stern look that he shouldn't underestimate him. "Broly, hurry up!"
You shook your head at your brother's usual brash nature before gently patting a frustrated Trunks on his arm. "He'll be alright. I'm just glad he isn't trying to take on this threat alone. If anything, I'm more worried he'll do something reckless and put Broly in danger…."
"You're very kind, your highness. But I assure you, my son is capable of handling himself," Paragus said with a smirk that sent a small shiver up your spine for some reason. "You must be tired. If you like, I will show you where your quarters are?"
"N-no, that's alright. I think I'll go explore this planet with the others," you said in a timid voice, noticing Gohan, Trunks, and Krillin already heading out of the palace where you quickly followed after them.
"So Selena, do you really think this Super Saiyan exists? It all seems pretty farfetched to me," Krillin spoke up as the four of you flew through the thick foliage and rugged mountains that seemed to make up the planet.
"I'd rather not like to think that a force just as strong as Cell or stronger is out there…but Vegeta seems to believe so," you answered with a heavy sigh. Yet like Piccolo had said, something about this whole situation just didn't seem…right. And when seeing what looked like ruins ahead, you only grew more suspicious.
"No matter how you slice it, this planet is pretty barren," Krillin mused.
"Yeah…Those cities we thought we saw from space were nothing but ruins," Trunks muttered, his brows creasing.
"I wonder why that Paragus guy would build his city in a run down place like this?" Gohan added thoughtfully with his head slightly tilted.
Krillin squinted his eyes noticing something in the distance from the air and pointed over at it. "What do you suppose that is?"
"It looks like…they're pumping some sort of energy from underground," Trunks replied while studying the heavy machinery.
"Oh, I get it! Their probably sending energy to the palace! That's the only place I saw that had plants growing," Krillin clarified while hitting his closed fist on his other hand.
You frowned since the small alien race Paragus was using to build his energy source looked completely worn down, and this was made even clearer when an elder ended up collapsing to his knees; the sight making Gohan descend while you and the others followed after him.
"I-I'm sorry! We're not goofing off! Grandpa's not feeling too well!" a young child nervously cried out while a scared look was on his pale green features.
"Its okay. We're not your bosses or anything like that," Gohan reassured with a friendly smile before looking around. "It seems kind of pointless to build something on such a ruined planet."
"It is pointless! We were brought here after the Super Saiyan destroyed everything on our home planet," the child said in his high-pitched voice while rushing over to try and pick up the heavy metal part his grandfather had dropped. "We work all day and they hardly feed us! Those Saiyan's are heartless!"
A soldier soon came down, harshly kicking the child away. And when the older alien tried to explain it wasn't his grandson's fault, the soldier lifted up his foot to injure him as well.
"Stop it! You have no right to treat them like that!" Gohan cried out angrily, breaking the soldiers helmet and knocking him painfully to the ground.
The soldier blew on a small whistle, sending a signal to the other warriors who surrounded all of you. Krillin clicked his tongue at this while wagging his finger. "Hey, if I was one of you guys, I wouldn't even think of messing with us," he boasted, thrusting his fist forward.
Surprisingly, the soldiers ended up taking off with looks of fear, and you couldn't help but feel a small trail of sweat run down the side of your face as Krillin started to show off by rapidly kicking and punching at thin air. That was, until Goku popped up and Krillin's punch impacted with his cheek.
"Ai yi yi!" Goku exclaimed, falling back on his butt while holding onto his slightly aching cheek.
"Whoops…Erm, Goku? What are you doing here?" Krillin said with an awkward laugh and grin.
"I'm not sure really…I was just following a Saiyan's energy," Goku replied, looking bewildered himself. "So how come you guys are here?"
"Vegeta was asked to destroy this Legendary Super Saiyan and we had some extra flyer miles to spend," Krillin answered nonchalantly while folding his arms.
"Really? I guess King Kai talked to him as well…."
Before you could tell him who really had summoned your brother here, the very man you were thinking of made his appearance known from a nearby cliff, greeting Goku by his Saiyan name.
"Hey! How do you know that name?! You must be a Saiyan!" Goku exclaimed, eyes narrowed in distrust.
"Yes, and you must be Bardock's son. Now, would our guests care to have some dinner?" Paragus replied with an amused smirk.
Goku kept up his serious look for a moment before his usual more friendly façade returned. "Are you kidding! That sounds fantastic!" Goku cheered, his quick change of judgment causing you and the others to fall since it was amazing how easily food could sway him.
"I really don't understand why you guys do that so much." Goku said in clear confusion, scratching at his tilted head as the only answer he received was a series of groans.
After dining on a rather bizarre assortment of food, you made your way back to the entrance of the palace alongside Goku when sensing your brothers return, leaning against the wall and smiling happily when seeing him.
"Welcome back, Vegeta!" you greeted, scratching at your cheek as he completely ignored you. Instead, ranting to Paragus who wasn't able to locate the Legendary Saiyan quick enough for him.
"That isn't very nice, Vegeta. You should at least say 'hi' back to your sister," Goku scolded, but a smile was on his face when the arrogant prince walked past where he was seated on a windowsill.
"Hmph! I don't remember seeing you on the guest list," Vegeta scoffed with a small smirk.
"Aw c'mon, Vegeta! It's not like your having any better luck finding the Super Saiyan!"
"It won't be long before we catch him and when we do he's mine and he's dead," Vegeta said coolly, heading on further down the stone hallway. "So stay out of my way, clown!"
You rolled your eyes, wondering why Vegeta always had to be so damn prideful? Your attention was soon turning on Broly who had stopped when spotting Goku himself, and you frowned since he was clenching his fists at his side while gritting his teeth. Almost as if he were trying to hold himself back from attacking Goku…?
What's Paragus doing you pondered, biting your lip since he was extending out his glove covered hand where you noticed a blue gem glowing. What was even worse, Goku and Broly were unleashing their energies while staring each other down.
If it wasn't for Master Roshi who came out of nowhere, carrying Oolong by his ears for some reason, yelling about how he wanted to go home while circling around a clearly irritated Paragus, you were certain a fight might have broken out. Yet the odd scene seemed to have calmed down the tense Broly.
"Come, my son. You should get some rest," Paragus murmured, approaching the taller male and slightly pushing him to get him to move. He turned to look back at Goku and you before they departed. "You all should get some sleep yourselves."
Goku rubbed at the top of his head before peering down at you when you were beside him. "Well that was pretty odd, huh?" he mused, only to let out a freaked out cry when noticing Oolong was struggling to keep Roshi from jumping out the window. "N-no, Master Roshi! You can't get home that way!"
You smiled faintly at the three before biting down on your thumbnail. At first, you thought Broly didn't seem like much of a fighter, but maybe he was more dangerous than you realized. It was possible Broly had thought Goku might have been a threat and he was just being cautious, but something about the energy he had been giving off really frightened you…Yet you couldn't understand why.
(A/N: Pfft! Have any of you seen TeamFourStar's version of The Legendary Super Saiyan Broly? I couldn't stop laughing during it. xD Its definitely my favorite of the movies they've done so far. Seeing Vegeta practically fan-girling over Broly made my day~
Oh! And to answer your question Sami, I just recently started watching Super. I kind of skipped the seasons based on the movies since I figured there was no point watching them. :P But I'm at the tournament Champa and Beerus are having over their universes, and its really cool~ Whis' sister has become one of my favorite females along with 18 and Videl~ Hit's also pretty badass~! ;D)
