"Love you too." Karin heard as her boyfriend, her brother, her lieutenant and all her friends rush to the world of the living.
Toshiro and the rest of the captains and lieutenants flash stepped through the senkiamon, trying to get to the world of the living before Aizen and the others. Everyone's goal was to stop Aizen at all costs. Toshiro was determined to survive to ask Karin an important question. His and Karin's future depended in him winning the war. Or they couldn't be happy otherwise.
The captains flash stepped through the fake Karakura town that Mayuri had created and switched it with the real town. They arrived just in time as Aizen finished walking through the gargantua with Gin and Tousen. Rangiku, Izaru, Sanjin and Shuhei all bit their lip when they saw Gin or Tousen. They were still not over the fact they had betrayed them.
Aizen and the other two captains were smiling ear to ear. They waited for so long for this day to happen. They believe in their strength so much. They believed they would be able to kill everyone and take Karakura without raising so much as a finger.
The captains knew they were being self centred. Thanks to them believing in their strength. The captains had to train so much so they were on equal ground. They were captains after all. They had the same rank as the other three.
Shuhei had discussed with Karin that she did not want Momo fighting in the war. He knew why and completely understood her reason for not wanting Momo fighting in the war. Karin explained to captain Unohana and the head captain and both of them didn't want her fighting in the war just in case she was the traitor. She might do something reckless if she saw Aizen again. They didn't know if she still loved him. Karin didn't want her to be played and then get brutally hurt. She knew what it felt like.
Aizen gave a smirk and behind him three gargantas opened up. In the first one was a blonde woman with three females behind her. The second one was a old male in a chair with two males behind him. The third was a male and a female standing side by side. The male was far taller than the female.
Head captain stamped his cane then the top of it eroded into his sword. He pointed his at the three males and a fire surrounded them. Toshiro heard Gin make a smart remark. The captains were all on alert in case anyone moved.
Toshiro waited until Yumichika, Ikkaku, Shuhei and Izaru took down the arrancar which were attacking the pillars. Toshiro believed in the lieutenants as Karin personally trained Izaru and also Shuhei was her lieutenant, they were skilled fighters. Ikkaku and Yumichika were Zaraki's, there is no doubt that they would lose.
Spiritual pressures were flaying everywhere. Each time one flared another would disappear. Most of the time it was the arrancar's spiritual pressure disappearing. It as much easier to breath every time someone's spiritual pressure died down.
Everyone turned around and looked at the pillar that was beginning to fall.
"Ikkaku!" They heard Yumichkia yell from his pillar which was situated on the other side of town. His yell echoed throughout the town.
"Ikkaku had been taking down." Sanjin rushed over to aid him with his battle. Everyone was slightly scared now. Their moral had been brought down.
Toshiro, Rangiku went off to fight the blonde espada and her comrades. Rangiku took the comrades while Toshiro fought the espada. Soi-feng and Omeda went of to fight the old man and his comrades. They first killed the comrades then went to fight the old man. Shunsei and Jushiro went to fight the male and the female. Jushiro fought the young girl as he was gentle towards females and children. Shunsei fought the male as he was stronger and could do it easily.
All three were in a head to head battle with their oppnent. Jushiro stole the young females sword and moved slightly to avoid her attacks. Rangiku had been joined by Momo and were fighting side by side. Shuhei and the head captain was shocked by her entrance. They left her alone and gave her the benefit of the doubt. She was helping Rangiku fight and was fighting against the arrancar.
Isane walked down the corridor to Karin's room. She was to check on her and make sure she was comfortable. She slowly opened Karin's door and sneaked in. She screamed when she saw a vacant bed. Many members of squad 4 rushed into the room.
"Where is captain Yoshida?" Everyone shrugged. They had allowed her to pass without knowing it. "Find her." Isane instructed. All the members rushed around the hospital looking for Karin.
Rangiku and Momo had been taking down by the third espada's comrades. Toshiro bit his lip and continued to fight the ongoing battle with ice and water. Each time he attacked with ice she turned it back on him with water. He looked to the right to see an silhouette that looked alot like his girlfriend. He thought of the training she had put him through. If you were evenly matched in one aspect of fighting then change the aspect until you are better than your opponent.
Toshiro closed his eyes and let Hyorinmaru and himself become one entity. Once he opened his eyes they were a shining blue. Toshiro flash stepped towards her collecting ice as he ran towards her. He flicked his wrist all the ice that was collected on his sword surrounded the third espada. She was frozen in his block of ice. Hyorinmaru and Toshiro raised their spiritual pressure and the ice froze even more. The third espada was trapped in the frozen ice that was unbreakable.
Every espada had been defeatet by their opponents. Though their opponents didn't come away from the battle unscathed. Some collapsed right next to their opponents but were still breathing.
Shuhei and Sanjin teamed up together and tried to defeat Tousen. All three males were severely scathed.
"What is so good about your new captain?" Tousen sneered. Shuhei was furious at what he said. Karin was the best thing that had happened to their squad.
"Captain Yoshida helps every single one of us. She pays more attention to our unseated members. They are soon going to be very strong and powerful. She makes training fun for every single one of us. That's more than you have ever done for our men" He protested. "Every member of squad 9 deeply loves her and respects her." Shuhei flash stepped towards him then swung his sword.
"From your strength and tatics, she is not a very good captain." Shuhei lifted his foot and kicked Tousen in the stomach.
"Don't you dare underestimate her." Sanjin ran forward and attacked him from behind.
"We have all been trained by Karin. She know us and believes in us. That's why we always will believe in her." Sanjin and Shuhei both released their shikai's and charged forward. Tousen had to defend left, right and centre. Their speed was hard to catch up with.
Tousen had released his final form which was hollowfication. He looked like a massive fly. Shuhei had been cut down in his fly form. It was only Sanjin still standing.
"So this is what you like like Sanjin. Man you are an ugly sight." Sanjin didnt take what he said to heart. Many people who have seen him still respect him. Sanjin quickly released his bankai. A skyscraper version of his zanpaktou stood behind him. Sanjin pushed his sword down. So did the copy of his zanpaktuo. As it hit the ground it left a large creator.
Tousen had slashed the replica of the copy so many times that Sanjin arms was heavily bleeding. Sanjin rested against a rock as his body felt heavy and tired with the many gashes on his body. Tousen, in his fly form, surrounded him.
"This will be your last breath." As soon he finished talking, a scythe was sent into his neck.
"I'm sorry." Shuhei had said behind him. "You have lost your sight. You could have easily dodged such an easy attack." Shuhei turned his sword, slicing into Tousen's neck.
Shuhei rested beside Sanjin trying to regain their energy. He held out a tin. Sanjin gladly took it and opened it. It was just water. Shuhei dipped his fingers in and flicked the water into the captains skin. It sizzled and then the wound healed.
"My captain gave me this a while back. Every member always carries this on them. It heals any scratch but not if it's internal." Sanjin dipped his finger in and splashed it on his wounds.
"She is very prepared for any situation." Shuhei nodded.
"I wish she was here. I think everyone's moral is down. She always brought light into the dark." Sanjin and Shuhei rested against the rock for a bit longer then ran helping everyone else.
Only Gin and Aizen still remained. They were heavily enjoying watching the soul reapers and arrancars tear each other apart. Aizen was now in his final form. Many of the captains and lieutenants had been taking down by his blade. Aizen and Gin took one step but they were stopped by many swords.
"I don't think so." Shinji, who held a sword against Aizen's neck, spoke.
"One move and we will kill you." A figure in black said in front of Aizen and Gin. Aizen eyes widened when he heard the voice. It was too familiar to him. The dark figure took of their hood letting their black raven hair fall past her shoulders.
"Miss Karin, what do I owe the pleas-"
"Shut it Aizen." Many of the captains and lieutenants stood behind the hooded figure. Many barely standing. Karin stepped back into line and walked straight into Toshiro's arms. He wrapped his arms around her body. He kissed her cheek then let her go. Karin stood beside him and held his hand.
Aizen flashed stepped forward to slash Toshiro but Karin stood in the way. Toshiro's eye widened when he saw his girlfriend fall to the floor.
"Not as strong as you thought she was ." Toshiro scrunched his fist. He was shocked when he felt something in there. He opened his hand to find a piece of paper. He opened it to see Karin's writing.
'Don't worry, look down." Toshiro looked down to find Karin was not on the floor. He remembered there was no blood on her as she fell.
"Captain Aizen, sorry to burst your bubble but she isn't there anymore." Aizen looked to ground with shock, Gin was right she was gone.
"Are you looking for me?" Karin stood behind the others with more captains and lieutenants behind her. Aizen sneered at her. She was far to hard to kill. Karin felt movement behind her. She quickly caught the sword and pulled the person in front of her. It was Momo. All the captains, visard and lieutenant was shocked.
Toshiro just watched as his sister tried to protect Aizen. He couldn't see how it was her. She was always kind and gentle. She always played by the rules. Now she was a traitor.
He knew by Karin's actions that she already knew about Momo. Toshiro grabbed a lock of his hair. Karin was his girlfriend, they should be able to tell each other anything but it this case she didn't tell him.
Shuhei walked up to him and patted his shoulder. He jumped and turned around to see the lieutenant.
"Don't blame my captain. She prayed that it wasn't Momo." Toshiro glared at him.
"You mean she already knew?" Shuhei nodded his head. The lieutenant looked back at his captain.
"She didn't want to upset you. She really wanted to be someone else. She believed it for your sake. Please don't be mad at my captain. She does love you." Toshiro ignored the lieutenant. He had to think about what he had said. It would of been nice if she had told him but it wasn't easy for her to do so.
"Don't you dare touch, Aizen." Karin reached to her pocket and pulled out her dagger. "Snap, Tobiume." She screamed. She quickly fired flames at Karin but it didn't bother her. She grabbed Momo's sword in her hand and broke it in half.
"Snapped Tobiume." Karin then threw it to the floor. Karin reached for her sword and pulled it out of the sheath.
"How are you not affected by Tobiume? She is a fire zanpaktuo." Karin held a finger up.
"One word," she threw her sword in the air. "Bankai." She screamed.
