IT'S OFFICIAL! I TAKE BACK EVERYTHING BAD I EVER SAID ABOUT RIDING HORSES! I'M FINE WITH THE ANNOYING WAY RIDING THEM MAKES ME BOUNCE! I'M FINE WITH THE WAY IT'S UNCOMFORTABLE TO SIT ON THEM! I'M FINE WITH THE WAY I PRACTICALLY ALWAYS FALL OFF! IN FACT, I'M ETERNALLY GRATEFUL THAT I'M ABLE TO FALL OFF OF THEM AND NOT DIE! BUT I ABSOLUTELY CANNOT STAND RIDING THESE WINGED HORSE-DEMONS! MAN WAS NOT MEANT TO FLY THIS HIGH IN THE AIR ON THINGS WITHOUT DOORS!

"Er… Are you all right back there, Lucas?" Cordelia asks.

"Yes. I'm. Abso. Lutely. Fine. Why. Do. You. Ask?" I manage to say.

"Well, for one thing, the way you're speaking is rather unnerving. The fact that you are clinging onto me was something of a hint. Also, I couldn't help but notice that you were screaming a mere moment ago."

"I'm. Just. Taking. The necessary. Precautions. To. Make. Sure. That. I don't. Fall off. And. Die."

"I promise you, that won't happen. Now, could you please let go?"

"S-sorry!" I say, immediately letting go. However, once I catch a tiny glimpse of the ground that could very well be the death of me, I scream, and fling my arms back around her. "AAAAAAH! THIS THING IS GOING TO BE THE DEATH OF ME!"

"Lucas," I hear Lee say to me over the sound of the wind, "if you don't stop being such a baby, you are going to lose any shred of dignity you have once we reach camp."

"I DON'T CARE! AS LONG AS I MAKE IT BACK TO THE CAMP ALIVE, I DON'T CARE!"

"Cordelia, if he proves to be too much trouble, feel free to just toss him off."

"Believe me… I'm beginning to consider it."

"Don't worry, Lucas!" Sumia calls over to me. "Even somebody as clumsy as me barely ever makes my own Pegasus do a crash landing."

"W-wait," Lee stutters nervously. "W-what do you mean 'barely'? Are you t-telling me that…?"

Sumia's face turns red from embarrassment. "D-don't worry! It rarely happens! It's been ages since anything like that ever happened!"

"Uh-huh? Really? And when was the last time that happened?"

"Oh, it was weeks ago! Just after that little rescue mission to save the exalt!"

"…"

Lee looks as if he's going to explode. And then he does.

"LUCAS! WE'RE GOING TO DIE HERE!" he screams, throwing his arms around Sumia.

"I KNOW!"

"Okay, both of you need to calm down!" Cordelia shouts. "Sumia and I are both very capable fliers, and, under normal circumstances, we will not do anything that will result in either of you two dying! However, if the two of don't stop screaming in our ears and clinging to us, then the chances are we will fall!"

"DID YOU HEAR THAT, LEE?! THE CHANCES ARE THAT WE WILL FALL!"

"I KNOW!"

"Oh for the love of…"

"Wait! Lucas! I see where they've set up camp!" Lee shouts, pointing into the distance. "We're going to live!"

"Oh thank the gods…" Cordelia mutters.

As the camp comes closer and closer, Cordelia eventually lowers her Pegasus to the ground. As soon as it hits the ground, I leap off of the winged horse, and hug the ground. But I don't kiss it. I'm not some kind of weirdo.

…Okay, I actually do give the sand a couple of smooches.

"Oh, sweet ground… I will never take you for granted again… Never let me leave you like that again… But if I do, please don't greet me too quickly…"

I turn around and lie on my back, and see Maribelle holding a staff. She looks at me with an incredulous expression.

"Er… I just came here to see if any of you were injured, but… I could come back later."

"No need for that," Sumia says. "We're all fine."

"Really, now? Are you sure? Because that man right there seems to have suffered some sort of serious head trauma."

"Well, that would probably explain my amnesia…" I say, sitting up. "Maybe I'm only just now giving in to the effects of braining my damage."

This earns me a few odd looks.

"…I'm kidding. I just have a little fear of heights. That's it."

"I think 'a little' is putting it lightly," Cordelia says.

"Well, can you blame me? I don't know if everyone remembers this, but the last time I tried to ride a Pegasus, I got thrown off of a freaking cliff!"

"But… You survived," Maribelle adds. "And, according to Raimi, you survived practically unscathed."

"I've also survived letting a barbarian put a freaking axe in me! That doesn't mean I'd enjoy that happening again!"

"Well, you'd better do your best to get over your little fear," Cordelia states, "because tomorrow, our mission kind of involves you two flying again. And I assure you – you're not going to get thrown off of another cliff."

"Okay, okay, whatever…" I then turn my head towards a trembling Lee. "You all right, man?"

"Just fine…"

"Okay, you all need to eat quickly and get rested up; you have a pretty big mission tomorrow," Robin says.

"Who are you, the narrator?" I say, smirking. "Don't you think we already know that?" I take a ferocious bite out of my dinner.

Robin rolls his eyes. "I'm just reminding."

Gaius tosses his meal away, and pulls out some candy, ignoring Maribelle's glare.

"You know, one of these days, eating all of that candy is going to do something to you. Probably in the middle of a battlefield. And don't you think I'll be held responsible if you don't get healed when that happens!"

Gaius shrugs, avoiding eye contact with the troubadour. "I've survived eating like this for years. I don't see why that should change any time soon."

An awkward silence fills the air.

"Er… So, Olivia," Robin begins to ask, "you were pretty eager to join this mission… So, I was wondering, are you especially skilled in battle?"

"I… Well, that is to say…" the dancer stutters, twiddling her fingers. "I really just wanted to help… I…I'm not that great with the sword."

"But," Lee speaks up, "she is a magnificent dancer!"

Needless to say, this causes Olivia's face to turn bright red. A few of us chuckle upon seeing this.

"Well, that's great," Robin says, "but that doesn't exactly help on the battlefield, does it? Er, no offense, Olivia."

Lee smirks. "Well, I can see why you'd think that, but Olivia has a pretty special dance that she can perform."

Robin raises an eyebrow at this. "Really? Well, what does it do?"

Lee turns to Olivia. "Go on. Show them."

"Wh-what?! You mean right now?! Here?!"

Robin frowns, grinning. "Well, I would like to see what this apparently 'special dance' can do on the field of battle, which you are probably going to be in tomorrow. So, that would be pretty useful."

"Come on, Olivia!" Lee shouts when the dancer refuses to get up. "Tactician's orders!"

"O-okay…" Olivia says, getting up and facing Robin.

Everyone watches as Olivia performs her little dance. I must admit that I'm also pretty curious to see how the hell dancing could possibly make somebody able to attack twice in one turn in a world where turns like that don't even exist.

After Olivia finishes the dance with the…hand motion thing…where she moves her hand towards Robin, the tactician simply sits there for a couple of seconds. Then, he bolts out of his seat, and runs around.

"HOLYCRAPHOLYCRAPHOLYCRAP! THATISSOENERGEZINGILITERALLYCANNOTSTAYSITTINGDOWN!" the white-haired blur screams, darting in every which way.

"Um… Are you all right, Robin?" I ask, concern evident in my voice.

Just then, a wide-eyed face materializes directly in front of me.

"I… AM… ALIVE…" Robin whispers. I see the veins in his eyes, which is nothing since I'm pretty sure that he can probably see into my soul, right now. If his eyes got any larger, I bet that they'd pop.

"…Olivia, I think you broke him," I say nervously, leaning backwards away from the crazed tactician.

"S-sorry…"

"It takes some getting used to," Lee says.

Robin then resumes dashing around all of us, before he finally seats himself down, looking tired beyond belief.

"That was…exhilarating," he says, staring at the sky.

"…Does it always do that?" I ask Olivia, pointing at Robin.

"W-well, it's supposed to give a boost to your energy for a few seconds. But on the first try, it sometimes causes…odd behaviour."

"Ooh! Ooh! Do me next!" Nowi says, raising her hand high in the air.

"No!" I shout, pointing at her. "No! You're enough to handle when you aren't hyped up on…uh…dance moves!"

"Aww!" Nowi whines, pouting. "Come on! Please!"

"N-no, I'm not going to be doing that again…" Olivia mutters, sitting down. "Sorry…"

Robin gets up, rubbing the back of his head, his eyes droopy. "Well, I don't know about the rest of you, but I'm tired… I'm… I'm going to bed… And the rest of you should be doing that soon, too."

Robin moves to leave, but stops and turns around. "Still, that was beautiful dancing, Olivia," he says, grinning.

Olivia's face turns tomato red, giving all of us a good chuckle.

"Well, good night, everyone," Robin says, leaving.

The next morning, I see Lee already seated on Cordelia's Pegasus.

"Well," I say yawning, "you got up early."

"Sorry, but I just feel more secure riding with a more…veteran Pegasus Knight," Lee says, looking at Sumia. "S-sorry, Sumia…"

Sumia frowns sadly.

"W-well, now that I've gotten more used to flying a Pegasus, I think I'll be fine, whether it's with Sumia or Cordelia!" I say, hastily, putting on a nervous smile. I still don't get on the Pegasus, though.

"Y-yeah! You've got nothing to worry about!"

Haha… You're totally going to die.

I squint in the direction of the base that we're about to attack.

"Did Tharja give the signal yet?"

"No, not yet," Lee answers. "But, you know, hexing probably takes a fair amount of time. I'd give her a little longer."

We wait for a couple of minutes. Eventually, Robin comes.

"Still no signal?" he asks.

"Would we still be here if there were?" I say.

Robin sighs. "You don't think she just went and joined the Plegians, do you?"

"No," Lee says. "If she did, then she would've told them about our plan by now. And if she had done that, then we either would have seen a couple of Plegians coming over here to attack us, or we actually would have seen the signal, which they would be using to lure us into a trap. Besides, she's fond of you; I don't think she's going to betray you of all people."

"Well, I suppose that's one thing to be thankful for…" Robin mutters.

"Where's Nowi?" I ask. "I thought we were counting on some of her destructive abilities as a dragon."

Robin scratches the back of his head. "She kept on bugging Olivia to perform that dance on her, and eventually Olivia agreed. But after she got one dose of it, Nowi kept wanting more and more. So, she kind of…crashed, leaving you two," he points to Cordelia and Sumia, "as the only fliers that we can use, right now. Maribelle's working on Nowi right now, trying to get her back to her usual self. When Nowi does get better, which Maribelle said shouldn't take too much longer, I'll fly in with her to help you guys."

We all return to waiting for a signal.

"…If we don't get the signal in the next ten minutes, I say we just go ahead and fly over there," I blurt out. "We can take 'em, even if they aren't totally defenceless. They can't be that tough."

"They'll probably have archers, Lucas."

"Then Lee and I can just get out and walk while using our Elwind shields!"

Robin frowns. "They probably would have increased their defenses after your little attack… Unless they bought Tharja telling them that there was only two of you."

"If she actually told them that," Lee cuts in. "I don't think she'd enjoy being thought of as a weak little creature that could possibly be hunted down by two little thugs."

"Is that…smoke?" Cordelia asks.

I look at her, and then look at the location she seems to be squinting at. In the direction of the enemy's base, there does seem to be some smoke rising.

"All right, this could be bad. Or good. Either way, something's on fire and you guys need to go! I'll get everyone else ready to go after you guys!" Robin shouts.

I move to hop on Sumia's Pegasus, but Robin grabs me and pulls me close to him. He whispers in my ear, "Make sure nothing happens to Sumia, or Chrom will have both our asses."

"Uh… Sure thing."

Robin lets me go, and I hop onto the Pegasus, and it takes off.

Don't look down, don't look down…

After flying for a little bit, I think I can feel my confidence when it comes to flying going up a little bit. Just a little bit. Not too much.

"Oh! I see something!" Sumia shouts, pointing at a figure down below. As we get closer, it becomes clearer as to just what the figure is.

"Risen!" Lee shouts, causing the undead fighter to look up and growl at us.

"Sumia!" I yell. "You got this?"

"Yup!" she answers, pulling out a lance from…somewhere.

"Don't trip…" I hear her mutter, as her Pegasus flies down, and she shoves her lance through the Risen's head.

Wait… Did she just say 'Don't trip'?!

"Wait… Did you just say 'Don't trip'?!" I cry, shouting my inner thoughts.

Sumia removes her lance from the Risen, and it turns to dust.

"W-well…"

"You were telling yourself not to trip?!"

"Y-yes…"

"But you're flying a Pegasus!"

"I, er… Yes."

"Are you telling me that you've tripped before while flying a Pegasus?!"

"…Yes…"

"How do you trip while flying a Pegasus?!"

"L-look, it only happened once! And it… It was a really off day for me, all right?!"

Okay… Confident feeling's gone.

You are totally going to die here.

Okay, just calm down. Calm down… Deep breaths…

I flash Lee a mixed look of fear and anger. He gives me a look of apologetic sympathy. But I just know that deep down he's really just happy that he's flying on another Pegasus.

"We have more important things to worry about!" Cordelia shouts. "Risen don't just appear on their own! If there's one Risen, you're bound to have others somewhere nearby!"

This is about when we see the burning base surrounded by what appear to be hundreds of Risen.

"Holy shit!" I cry out as the Pegasi begin to descend. "What the hell did Tharja do to them?!"

"Oh, so you people finally made it."

We all turn to a bored-looking dark mage. She yawns.

"Tharja?!" Lee yells. "Just what happened here?!"

"Well, after these Plegian's 'rescued' me, they started to think that they all deserved some sort of 'reward'. I could barely get a good night's sleep – every time I went to lie down in bed, one of those pigs would come over, expecting me to be oh-so grateful for their hospitality. By morning, I just couldn't continue the act. So, naturally, I burned down their home. After I had breakfast, of course."

"…Sorry, was that before or after you killed them?"

"Look, I'll admit that I'm a bit dark, but even I don't enjoy eating when I'm surrounded by a bunch of dead bodies."

"No, I meant that whole thing about burning down their home!"

"Oh. That. Let's just say that some were luckier than others."

"But…why?!"

Tharja shrugs. "That's what they get for building their base out of wood – they were pretty much asking for it. Besides, the plan was to kill them, anyway. I just went ahead and spared you guys the trouble."

"But… If you could have killed them this easily, why didn't you tell us?"

"You never know how strong you can be until somebody makes you angry enough to make you go ahead and find out."

Lee then turns to the burning base, along with the numerous Risen swarming the general area. Fortunately, they're acting as clueless as zombies from The Walking Dead, not noticing us.

"How long ago did you kill them? They couldn't have just turned into Risen on their own that quickly."

"There was a sorcerer. He was one of the later survivors who wouldn't just let the burning building kill him, and went ahead and summoned all of these mindless creatures in an attempt to take me down with him, so I ran away. His little Risen friends have probably hacked him to pieces by now."

"All right… Okay, Cordelia, Sumia, you two go fly back and bring back the others. Tharja, Lucas; let's go!"

"Wait, what?!" Tharja screams. "Why? Those Risen haven't noticed us yet! Why should we bother taking them down? I say we just leave them and let them take care of whatever Plegian fighters come to regroup at this place!"

"You know, she does have a point," I say.

"Well, I mainly just want to take a look at the sorcerer that summoned these Risen. If Plegian troops are all being taught how to summon these creatures, then it would do well to find out how they do it; we might be able to find a way to counter it. And after that, we'll probably be in the middle of a field of Risen."

"Joy."

"Okay, I'm just going to put it out there," Tharja says, "there's a good chance that the tome that he was using was destroyed."

"Might be. But still, it can't hurt to just check."

"Actually, what with all of those dangerous undead soldiers clearly armed with multiple weapons, I'd say that it could definitely hurt to 'just check'."

Cordelia speaks up, "Sumia and I aren't going to just listen to you two argue over whether you're going in or not; could you please just decide, already?"

"Yes! Go! We're going to need back up. If Maribelle's still working on Nowi, then bring back Lon'qu and Gaius first! Then, when you come back for a third trip, bring Olivia and Maribelle! But if Maribelle is free, bring her over here first, and bring Gaius here later!"

"I'll, uh... I'll try to remember that."

Cordelia and Sumia take off in a matter of seconds.

"All right. Now, Tharja, could you please take us to where that sorcerer guy was?"

When Tharja doesn't respond, Lee adds in, "I'll be sure to tell Robin how good of a team player you were. That'll be an easy way to get in his good books."

"…Fine. Let's go," Tharja says, summoning a ball of fire in her hand. She then dashes down from the dune towards the Risen.

Tharja lets loose her fireball at a Risen archer who begins to turn towards us. I then blast a charged bomb at a crowd that was charging at us.

"Say, Tharja, how did you get past all of these guys the first time without them noticing you?" I ask, pulling out my sword and cutting open a mage.

"You know, believe it or not, summoning a multitude of undead warriors from out of nothing takes a long time to do, especially at a beginning level," she replies sarcastically. "There are a lot of complicated pronunciations that need to be exact that take a long time to do. I would have gladly stopped that fool while he was busy talking to himself, but he was out of my range, so I couldn't reach him in time."

"But Aversa was able to summon these things in a matter of seconds!"

"Lady Aversa is not some common Plegian thug – her dark magic is incredibly advanced. You two are lucky that she was lazy enough to try and let her undead servants deal with you before – she could destroy you two without breaking a sweat!"

"Hey! I managed to knock her out before!"

"Only because you managed to catch her off guard," Lee cuts in.

"Whose side are you on?!"

"There are sides to this, now? I'm just stating the facts!"

"Whatever."

Stab. Pull sword out of walking corpse. Flick your sword instinctively only to remember that Risen don't bleed. Go stab other people.

Getting so used to killing undead creatures that it becomes second nature was not something that I thought I would be doing when I took that first drink on my birthday. To be honest, the very fact that I can just mindlessly decapitate both undead warriors and living people is kind of scary. Not as scary as letting those things just decapitate me, but still kind of scary.

Not that I can afford to let that bother me right now. So, I continue with the scary act while blindly following the creepy master of dark arts. Still, we're doing pretty well; I'm really surprised that we haven't been surrounded by the entire horde of Risen, yet.

"Okay, last time I saw him, he was somewhere around this side of the building," Tharja says, blasting a hole into the wall and stepping through it. Lee and I follow after her.

We all blast multiple wind spells in multiple directions to protect us from the fire while stepping over and around the burning wreckage of the building and dodging falling wreckage.

"We need to get out of here quickly!" Lee says. "If any of the Risen catch us in here, things will get pretty uncomfortable!"

"Oh sure, forget the ceiling falling on top of our heads! And this smoke isn't very inviting, either!" I say, coughing. I pull my shirt over my nose and mouth.

"Ah! There he is!" Tharja says, lifting a charred block of wood from a dead sorcerer. He's clutching a large book in his left hand. His head is missing.

"Why did he let the Risen kill him? Aversa was able to make the Risen do whatever she wanted!" Lee asks.

"I keep telling you – it takes incredibly advanced dark magic to do that!"

"You sure are using that excuse an awful lot!" I cough. "And besides, how do you know so much about this, anyway?!"

"The Plegian dark mages were going to be taught that sometime after the exalt's execution. I suppose I would have learned a pretty interesting spell had I stayed with those thugs. Now, can we please just get out of here?! I don't have anything to put over my mouth and nose to cover this smoke!"

Well, maybe if you put on some frickin' clothes –

"All right, stand back!" Lee says, blasting another hole in the building. He then quickly grabs the tome from the dead sorcerer's hand, and leaps through the hole.

When Tharja and I step through the hole, we find a pack of Risen looking at us intently.

I mean, as intently as Risen can look. Well, they don't really ever look intently, given that they don't seem to be able to change the expressions on their faces to show emotion. But you can tell that they're planning to kill us. One of the big giveaways is the fact that they're looking at us.

"…Oh," I mutter.

Just then a myrmidon leaps at Lee. He ducks, and Tharja manages to blast a fireball at the fucker.

"Shit! Everybody run back into the burning building!" Lee shouts.

"That's one sentence I never thought I'd hear…" I mutter, blasting a few fireballs into the crowd of Risen as I wait for Tharja and Lee to get through the hole.

"Lucas! Come on!"

I guess that's my cue.

I jump through the hole and run after Tharja and Lee while charging a bomb in my hand. When it's finished, I turn around briefly and blast it at the ceiling. Part of the ceiling falls and crashes on top of the Risen barbarian that was chasing me. That ought to stop them.

Geez, how long do you think this burning building can last? 'Cuz it's doing conveniently well!

You've played Uncharted 3. Burning buildings always do well enough so that the main character or main characters can survive. It's a common rule amongst video games and movies.

Yeah, you do have a serious case of 'Main Character Survival Syndrome'. Except Chrom and Robin are the main characters of this video game, so your luck will probably only go so far.

Uh, hello? Burning building? Running through it? Avoiding mass of weapon-wielding zombies? You might want to focus more on that!

Lee blasts a third hole in the wall, and we all leap through it.

"Okay, let's just get the hell out of here right now! Okay?!" Lee cries.

Tharja then immediately turns to me, and blasts me with wind. "Get down!"

I struggle to seat myself back up. Lee dodges a lightning ball, runs up and stabs a mage. I blast a fireball at a nearby thief, before seeing a myrmidon rushing at me. I begin to panic, but a dark…purple…thing pops up above the thing's head, and it falls to the ground and turns to dust.

"That was close…" Lee sighs.

"Hey, why'd you push me?" I complain to Tharja.

Tharja looks at me, and points at the wall behind where I was standing a minute ago. "That thief was trying to throw that knife at you." I get up, and turn around.

What? Throwing knives?! No fair! Those don't exist in this game!

Lee moves over toward the knife, studies it for a few seconds, and pulls it out from the wall of the burning building. He then pulls out a small bag, and carefully places the knife inside it.

"Uh… What are you doing?"

Lee looks at me. "The knife was poisoned with the same poison that killed the exalt. I guess that all of these Plegians are using it, now… I was thinking that we could get it examined. If we're lucky, we just might be able to find an antidote." A smirk grows on his face. "This has turned into a pretty productive day."

I blink. "Oh… Heheh… Whoa, I could've died."

"I thought you would've been used to that feeling by now," Lee comments.

"That doesn't make it a welcome feeling."

"I know. Anyway, let's get out of here!"

We rush away from the burning building, which, admittedly, is probably the first thing we should've been doing instead of talking, even if we had put out the flames on that particular side of it. A group of Risen to our right takes notice of us, so we stop in our tracks to take care of them.

I charge a bomb, and blast it at an incoming mercenary. A pair of fireballs from Lee and Tharja fly at a barbarian and fighter, easily taking them down. Unfortunately, there are still plenty of Risen still coming at us.

Shit, there are a lot of these guys.

I pull out my axe. I've been using my sword much more often, so I get the feeling that my axe might be getting lonely.

"Guess who!" a familiar voice cries out. An equally familiar orange-haired blur flies out of nowhere, cutting open a Risen mage.

"Did you guys get that book?" Lon'qu asks after impaling an archer.

"Just a few moments ago!" Lee answers.

"Heh. Took you long enough!" Gaius says, smirking as he tosses a pair of throwing knives at a knight's throat.

Oh… I guess thieves can use those, even in this game… Well, better to find out sooner than later, I guess.

"Trying to run through a horde of Risen and into a burning building in order to try and find one dead man and his corpse, and trying to escape through the horde of Risen once more isn't as easy as most people make it out to be!" Lee retorts.

"I don't know, I'd say we did pretty well," I say, cutting off an archers arm. "We're all still in one piece, aren't we?"

"Yeah, but… It's still tough, okay?!"

I cut off the head of the aforementioned archer, and it turns to dust. "How long ago did Sumia and Cordelia leave to get Olivia and Maribelle?"

"They might be a little while; they only left a minute or two ago," Gaius answers.

"Shit," Lee curses. "So that means that we have to put up with all of these Risen on our own without any support?"

"What do you mean, 'all of these Risen'? We're done with this little group, here!" I say as the final Risen turns to dust in front of me. When the dust flies away, I see the large swarm of Risen making their way towards us on both sides. "Oh. Those Risen. They noticed us. Crap."

"Yeah."

"Oh well, it's not really that much of a problem; these Risen are pretty weak."

"It's still pretty annoying."

Putting away my axe, I sigh and summon two bombs in my hands. "Let's just do this, already."

"All right everyone, be careful! All it takes is one poisoned arrow or one poisoned knife, and you're as good as dead!"

Tharja slows down the leading Risen myrmidon with Nosferatu, and Lon'qu rushes in for the kill. He then back-flips away from a mercenary who rushes to take a stab at him.

I blast my two bombs at the group of Risen coming at us on our right. Lee blasts two other bombs that he had apparently been charging at the group on the left. Everything that happens after this becomes a blur.

Knives are thrown. Arrows are shot. Numerous balls of differing elements are blasted. Weird purple things pop up in the air and disappear in a matter of milliseconds. Javelins fly through the air and impale Risen.

Wait… We don't have javelins. Oh. They're back. That's convenient.

"And here I was hoping we could just go back to base after getting here!" Cordelia says, pulling a javelin out of a mage before it turns to dust.

"It's never that easy!" Gaius shouts, shoving his sword through an archer's chest.

"If only…" I mutter to myself.

I suddenly feel a sudden surge of energy. My eyes widen, and without thinking, I whip out my sword, rush into a crowd of Risen, and start stabbing things all around me. Eventually, the surge passes, and I immediately stumble backwards, away from the chaos.

I turn around, "Er… Thanks, Olivia."

So, is that what Galeforce feels like?

"N-no problem."

"Hey!" Gaius shouts out. "Give me a piece of that! I wanna go crazy hyper, too!"

"…Is that it?" I ask, sweating and panting.

"Looks like it," Sumia answers.

A loud laugh erupts. We all turn to Lee, who's laughing his ass off.

"What's so funny?" I ask.

"Did you see how much damage those could do?!" he says, cackling like a mad man. He holds the new tome in his hand. "I think we might be able to win this war!"

AN: This was a pain in the ass to write. That's all I have to say about this thing.
Anyway, the next chapter will probably take pretty long to write, as well. But it will also probably be pretty long. So...yeah.

If you see any grammar mistakes, please tell me.
