I had just gotten back from a night with Allan, having had to sneak in and back out of the castle without getting notice was the least of my worries as I saw a light still glowing from the camp. I had hoped no one would notice my absence from the gang. Now I was going to have to come up with an excuse as to why I had been away.

I breathed a sigh of relief when the camp was filled with snores and it was just Will sitting up on his bunk. It was as if he'd been waiting for me.

"Where have you been?" His voiced laced with accusation. I crossed my arms as I stood at the camps entrance.

"Why does it matter?" I mumbled walking straight past him to my bunk, my eyes drooping at not having slept, me and Allan had stayed up all night walking, we hadn't had sex again since the Sheriff's disappearance neither of us wanted to be the one to propose it, as it was still something very new to us. But I was now exhausted, it's alright for Allan, he can simply go straight off to sleep as soon as I leave, I had to walk all the way back to camp.

However, Will wasn't going to let me sleep as before my head even touched the pillow he spoke up.

"You were with Allan, weren't you?" There was the accusation again. I looked across at him to glare.

"Yes. So?"

"You should tell Robin"

"Even if I did what's he going to do about it" I tried to keep my voice as low as possible, not wanting to wake the rest of the gang "I'm married to him now, it can't be undone and nor do I want it to"

"He's our leader" I could hear that his jaw was being clenched together tightly "And therefore he needs to be able to trust you""

I saw red. Will was just asking me to get angry now.

"He can trust me!" I growled "You know as well as I do that I love Robin and the gang, just because I'm with Allan that doesn't change anything"

"but it does, with you going off to meet him every night, you're consulting with the enemy"

I snapped up, sitting up straight. My head hitting the top of my bunk in my quick haste. I rubbed the stop roughly before turning my full attention to Will who, as I, had sat up and was glaring at me from across the camp. The dying fire sitting between us.

"The enemy?" I rolled my eyes angrily "This is ridicules, he used to be your best friend, and now he's the enemy"

"He's with Gisborne and Allan now, everything has changed"

"I reckon you're just jealous" I hissed at him "Because you're getting no where with Djaq" I knew that wasn't true, I just wanted to hurt him the way his words were hurting me. Saying Allan was the enemy was too far. He wasn't. I trusted him and Will should trust me enough to know that I know what I'm doing.

There was a pregnant pause in which I heard Much groan beside us. Him being the closest to us and the two of us not being so quite it was likely for him to wake up but I wasn't expecting what happened next.

"Wh-what's goin' on?" Much yawned, tiredly sitting up straight "I heard people yelling"

After this the rest of the gang seemed to wake up. I heard shuffles and tired groans, but me and Will kept our eyes trained on each other as if waiting for the first person to speak in our silent rage.

"What's happening?" Robin said. He had gotten up at some point and was now walking towards us, wobbling a little from his abrupt awakening "Is everything alright?"

"Everything's fine, sorry we were just discussing something and was being a bit loud-" I tried to cover but saw Will roll his eyes.

"A bit loud?!" Robin's eye brow's rose "You were arguing, I could hear that much" he paused as if expecting one of us to own up but neither of us said a word still keeping the locked eye contact "What over?" He finally said.

"Honestly, it was nothing" I took the moment to look away from Will and up at Robin who was looking in between the two of us a concentred look written upon his face.

"You sure?" Robin directed his question to me so I nodded trying my best to ignore the annoyed faces Will was pulling.

It looked as if Robin was about to turn away and go back to bed but Will wasn't having it.

"This is ridicules, Elaine, you can't keep lying to them" I snapped around to face him, hoping and praying what he said hadn't escaped his lips. Now I was either going to have to come up with a lie about what I'd been 'lying' about, thus creating a deeper grave for myself, or confess and Will wasn't going to let me go with the first option.

"What's going on?" Robin's sharp glare turned around again, this time his 'leader' posture taking over as he stood there his hands on his hips as if telling off his children.

I stared angrily at Will "I don't know what you're on about"

"Stop lying" Will yelled at me "I'm sorry Elaine, I know I told you I wouldn't tell them but I don't want to lie to them all as well"

"You promised" I hissed.

"No, I promised that I wouldn't tell unless Robin asked, he's asking isn't he…"

"What is going on!" Robin's voice carried through the camp, abruptly ending mine and Will's argument on full force.

"Elaine and Allan got married" Will admitted a secret that wasn't his to tell. I breathed in deeply, closing my eyes, and pinched my arm to see if I was dreaming and when I didn't wake up I finally looked up at Robin's face which held a mix of emotions. Anger was there, as well as surprise, and confusion.

"What!" Robin roared stepping forward.

"You heard" I flashed a glare at Will who I was happy to see looked slightly ashamed off himself. The rest of the gang was surrounding us now, all I wanted was to get away. Wishing I'd never left Allan's bed.

I hadn't planned on what I was going to say to the gang when they found out because I hadn't planned on telling them. Not until Allan was back in the gang. I found Meghan's face who was standing behind the rest of the gang looking lost and confused. She held all the emotions Robin had but with the lack of anger.

"You- you married… Allan?" Much sounded astonished before giving off a slight chuckle "Very funny, for a minute you almost had me there"

"It's true" I stared up at him only to see his eyes widen.

"Well that's… that can't be right" He shook his head "Allan's on the Sheriff's side, when would you have even been able to do it…"

"When the Sheriff went missing…" Djaq answered for me, realization washing upon her face, though she didn't look too surprised at the news.

"How could you!" Robin yelled "Whilst we were trying to find the Sheriff you were off with Allan, getting married"

"Oh, yes, make me seem like the bad guy" I rolled my eyes "I don't understand why it's such a big deal, you knew I had forgiven Allan and I still loved him. Why is it such a shock?" I shouted back equally matching his tone.

"Elaine- Because he betrayed us! That's why it's a big deal and all this time you've been with us!" Robin cried before stepping forward again breaking the space between us "Has he told you any of the Sheriff's plans?"

I shook my head sharply "no, of course not-"

That wasn't strictly true, I knew about the mercenaries (Allan thought it was because of Rotherham's departure of the black Knights, the Sheriff needed back up and by back up I mean an army) that were coming tomorrow, taking vacation in Locksley village where the peasants would be forced out of there homes to live in the village but it didn't seem like the right time to tell the gang. We would sort it out tomorrow.

"More lies?" Robin raised his eyebrows. This conversation reminding me a lot of the one where Allan had been kicked out of the gang.

"I've never lied to you, I just didn't tell you, there's a difference!"

Robin's eyebrows rose again "Is there!?"

"I'm not a traitor"

"That doesn't matter" Robin bit back "he is a traitor. A traitor to the king!"

"Look, we've all done things we've regretted" Meghan's voice called through the crowed of the gang around me "I say we just forgive and forget, there's no point in arguing over it"

"I don't want to forget it and I sure as hell don't regret it" I turned on her, I regretted it instantly as a flash off hurt washed over her face as she took a step back, away from me so I turned to Robin again, my glare hardening "So what are you going to do now, it can't be undone and I don't want it to be"

Robin held his posture strong. His arms folded over and his feet equally spread out, but he was shaking his head "I don't know Elaine, I don't understand how you could have done this, you know how we all feel about him-"

"Yes but I also know how I feel about him. Sorry, if I listened to my own feelings more than yours" Silence spread across the camp before I broke it wanting to challenge them, to bait them, daring them to tell me I was a traitor as well, to tell me I didn't deserve to be in the gang anymore "So… . . ?" I grinded my teeth together.

"Well, you can't see him again"

I almost laughed if the conversation hadn't been so serious. He was treating me like a child, as if he was my parent, as if he had control over me.

"You're going to ban me from seeing my husband?" I raised an eyebrow when Robin nodded seriously I laughed. A shrill echoing laugh "you have got to be kidding me" when no one said anything I stopped laughing feeling like an idiot "That's not going to happen, you can't stop me"

"Then how can we trust you, for all I know you could be working for Gisborne as well"

I felt the anger explode in me at that. So he thought I was betraying him too, just as Allan had. I had given everything two this gang for two years and he thought I was betraying them. This was too much.

"Do you honestly think I would be working for Gisborne?" I took a threatening step forward, spitting out my words "After everything he's done to me"

Robin looked down guiltily after I said that and he loosened his posture, suddenly frowning "Elaine, I'm sorry of course you're not working-"

"No" I shook my head sharply "That's it. I can't believe you would even think that" I growled "After almost two years of being your friend I thought you could at least trust me"

Djaq, being the closest to me, rested a hand on my shoulder "That's not what he meant, Elaine, he just-"

"I know perfectly what he meant" I wanted to cry, not daring to believe that Robin thought I was betraying them "Fine…" I pushed Djaq's hand away and shoved past the gang but Meghan was by the door, shaking her head desperately.

"Elaine… please don't go" She begged taking hold of my hand but I pulled away, trying to be as gentle as possible but in my head of anger it came out roughly anyway "Elaine…" she whispered as I pulled the tag from around my neck off and shoved it in her hands.

"They don't even trust me, how the hell can I stay" I bit back the tears threatening to pour from my eyes.

As I walked away I didn't dare look behind me for fear of what the gang's faces would look like. What if they didn't even look sorry to see me go, that would be far worse than anything, so I kept my eyes straight ahead not even saying anything to my sister.

As soon as I was out of sight of the camp I broke down realizing I'd just left my family back there. I almost went back, to tell them I was sorry and that I wouldn't see Allan again if that was what kept me in the gang but I knew I couldn't hold that promise. Allan was everything to me but so were the gang. Why couldn't I just have both of them?

I found a tree that had enough of an indent in it to fit a small body before curling up in a ball and cramming myself inside, cradling my legs as I cried. My hand reached out for the missing tag that was now no longer there, leaving a space that felt empty without it.

I was still angry. Still angry that Robin had dared to tell me that I couldn't see Allan, he couldn't control who I loved. It wasn't that simple and even if he could I didn't want to stop seeing or loving Allan.

At some point I fell asleep having gotten lost in thoughts. Most of them filled with regret at leaving the gang – again – and knowing I was probably going to go back to them tomorrow. Worry consumed me, the last time I had left because I was frustrated with everything, this time was different, they probably didn't want me back. Could I even go back?

The next morning I woke up due to the sunlight directly blinding my face, feeling the heavy weight drawing in on me suddenly as I remembered what had happened.

I forced myself up; dusting myself off, forgetting that sleeping on the floor meant you were going to get dirty. Thank god for Will for building the bunks.

At the reminder of Will I almost sat down again and cried again. Whilst I didn't blame him, I understood why he had told Robin I couldn't help but feel as if this was all his fault, the reason Robin no longer trusted me. If he had just kept his promise and stayed quite.

I didn't no where to go. I could go to Allan but the chances are he was on his duties, dealing with whatever the Sheriff needed these mercenaries for. Sarah was possibly another options but I didn't feel as if I had the energy to walk all the way to Nottingham only to break down crying in Sarah's arms again like I had last time. I could go to Marian as well, she had suffered at the other end of Robin trying to control what she did whilst in the gang, she would understood why I had up'd and left, but again she was all the way in Nottingham.

Who I really wanted was Meghan.

I had left her in the gang. Alone. Did she think I had abandoned her?

Thinking I could at least make myself useful and to stop myself from spending my day feeling sorry for myself, I devised a plan to help all the villagers who had been out-casted from there homes in Locksley and give them food. They were probably starving.

Remembering about our food store we used to hold our food for the winter I decide to head there, feeling it was my best bet at finding something to give to the villagers. Though I doubted I could carry much on my own.

I walked as slow as possible trying to keep my thoughts away from the gang, Meghan and Allan but failing miserable.

When I did arrive at the food store I heard voices up ahead. Not recognizing any of them I ducked behind a bush hearing the rough gruff voices of two guards.

"he's gonna' make us carry it all to the wagon, ain't he?" One of them said to the other. I peeped over the side of the bush covering me to see the guard nod his head behind him. I followed his eye sight and saw Allan unsaddling his horse as I just about heard him say "What did I tell ya? It's all here! We used to bring stuff we'd stolen here, grain or what-have-you, for the poor"

Allan opened the food store door revealing all of the content. It was more full of food than the last time I visited. Perhaps the gang had gone here this morning to fill it up.

"Good, bring everything" Gisborne instructed still sat atop his horse clad in leather, he then turned to the guards and I ducked a little further to make sure he didn't spot me when I noticed something out of the corner of my eye. "Right, you lot, let's get back in the wagon"

"What'd I tell ya" The guard groaned as he span around to do as he was instructed.

I squinted my eyes further into the trees, the other side of the clearing where the food store lie was a spot of brown. Which seemed ridicules considering we were in a forest but there was something there, or rather… someone.

I recognized the brown locks as Marians, and the harder I stared I began to see her face more clearly as she was spying curiously through the trees, trying her best to remain low.

She obviously sensed someone watching her, so when she looked around we caught eyes. At first her eyes widened at the sight of me, surprised at me being here before she looked quickly over at the cart and then back at me as if signalling at me. At first I didn't understand what she meant before it clicked. She was planning on intercepting it. I nodded and slowly began sneaking around the outskirts of the clearing, making my way towards Marian to find out what her plan was.

They were still filling up the cart but with the amount of guards they had with them it didn't seem as if they would take too long.

Finally I reached Marian who pulled me down to her level as she whispered "I was going to go find Robin but seeing as you're here we might as well attack the carriage as soon as possible"

I nodded once before she continued.

"Are the rest of the gang with you?" She hurriedly whispered.

I shook my head "No, it's just me" I frowned feeling the rise of emotions well up in my chest again but I backed it down.

Marian sighed and turned back to the guards in front of us "We'll have to do this alone, have you heard about what's happening in Locksley"

"I have, but I don't know if the gang has yet"

Marian's eyes furrowed together in confusion "why are you out here alone?"

Ashamed, I cast my eyes downwards "I kind of left last night" Marian gasped but not loudly enough to cause attention to us. I shrugged it off not feeling like talking about it now, this wasn't the right time "It's complicated, I'll explain later"

She frowned unsatisfied with my eyes but nodded anyway "Alright. Perhaps I should talk to Robin before we attack the carriage, at least then we'll have extra support, there are five guards there along with Gisborne and Allan. We should be able to get to them but just to be sure…"

"Allan won't be much trouble" I insisted before mapping it all out in my head "If we're going to intercept it whilst the cart is travelling, they'll have two guards at the back, as long as we take them down quietly is should be fine. Then we take down Gisborne and…" I gulped "and Allan"

Marian looked over my brief worry and continued to focus on the plan "So we aren't warning Robin?" She said apprehensively "I think we should, Robin would be able to get this cart back easily-"

I raised an eyebrow "Are you saying we can't do it on our own?"

"no, no of course not, I'm just suggesting we get help, we'll have more of a chance then"

I shrugged "If you want to, but let's just say we didn't end on good terms"

"What exactly happened?"

"I… um… kind of married Allan"

I was surprised this time when Marian gasped the guards and Gisborne didn't turn around at the sound but they still remained unaware of our presents.

"You married Allan?"

"Yes" I shrugged "Long story short, I kept it from the gang and Will found out and told them, I got angry when Robin said that I wasn't allowed to see Allan again as if I was a child so I left… oh… how could I forget, Robin also suggested I was working for Gisborne as well" I grinded my teeth bitterly, still angry at last nights events.

"Well congratulations I suppose but do not listen to Robin, he's a fool when he wants to be"

"Yeah, I remember him treating you badly when you first joined the gang"

She cringed at the memory "Yes, but I did act irrationally at times" She admitted before rubbing my arm comfortingly "Robin – however, much of a hero he is - does have the amazing ability to not understand things"

"Well from what I left things with it seems Robin hates me, he couldn't even trust me" I sighed trying not to cry again "I just couldn't believe after giving two years worth of my life for him he couldn't trust me for simply marrying the man I love"

Marian didn't know what to say to that so we sat in silence before she broke it, slowly moving away from the hide out and into a space where she could stand up freely without being seen, I mimicked her as she said "I'll meet you outside of Locksley, I'm going to see if I can get Robin to help me"

"But-" I groaned "I can't see him yet, we never really ended the fight, what if he's still mad?" I was fully aware of how childish I sounded, like a dramatic teenager not getting there way, but I didn't care.

"Elaine, you have to speak to him eventually"

"Yes well I was kind of trying to put that off, actually" I mumbled sarcastically.

"You can't avoid him forever, as annoying as I know he can be I know he's one of your closest friends" She said "Where do you even plan on going without him?"

I shrugged, unsure of the answer "I don't know, just thought I'd continue helping the poor on my own"

She nodded "I've been doing that for almost six years and I must admit I got lonely at times, it was nothing compared to what being in the gang was like" When I said nothing else she nodded as if she had gotten her point through to me before turning around in the direction of the camp, whilst I went off for Locksley, waiting for Marian and the gang's return.

*~How to tame an Outlaw~*

I sat down, crossed-legged, up on the Locksley hill waiting for Marian's return with the gang. Nervous knots tightened in my stomach as I realized I was going to actually have to come face to face with them. I was so confused, I wasn't sure if it was me who had been the one who had over-reacted to the situation or them.

I snapped off a piece of grass in my hands, twiddling it around in my fingers watching the village closely. The cart had beat me to getting to the village first and I had sat and watched them un-pack the food from the cart into the church and by now it was completely full of food for the mercenaries located there.

The mercenaries had surrounded the village, when Allan said they were coming I didn't expect an army and I figured that Allan didn't expect this many either from the way he told me as if it wasn't a big deal. They even had to put up tents because the amount of villager homes wasn't enough to house them.

Finally I heard the familiar voice behind me.

"He's not coming" Marian said, sitting down beside me. I frowned at her, it wasn't like Robin to not help the villagers, for a split second I feared it was because Marian told him I was here and he didn't want to see me. Was he really being childish enough not to even approach me? "Don't worry it wasn't because of you" She relieved my fears "He said he had a message from the king and he had to sort that out first" She sounded annoyed as she said it "He didn't even take into consideration the villagers" Her voiced softened "I told him about you"

I looked up, aching to hear what she had to say.

"Firstly, he doesn't hate you" She sent me a disapproving look as if she was scolding me for even thinking it "And he feels terrible, he told me to tell you he was sorry" if possible her frowned deepened "Let's just get this over and done with and then you can go back to camp to talk to him"

I nodded once before pulling myself up off the grass and then holding out a hand for Marian.

"So, we're doing this just us two" I nodded to Marian as she used my weight to pull herself up.

Marian looked over at Locksley "Robin told me not to do anything" She confessed sounding annoyed at having been ordered around, I couldn't say I blamed her "Let's go"

She pulled up her hood and brought the scarf around her neck to her lips, getting out her mask from a small sack she had brought along and placed it over her eyes, transforming completely into the nightwatchman.

"You ready?" I asked and when she nodded we made our way down to the village, hiding behind the put up tents to keep us covered. I peeked in through a small rip in the tent to see if anyone was in there and then signalled for Marian to follow me ran inside before Marian was off again, out of the tent. I had to run to catch up with her. She managed to dodge all the mercenaries as she gracefully swerved between tents, going ahead of me with my clumsy self falling behind. Thankfully we managed to make it to the church doors without being seen (or as far as we were aware)

There was one mercenary sitting on the steps leading to the church but Marian effectively knocked him out with a quick cartwheel, kicking him in the head and rendering him unconscious.

Quickly she opened the church doors me following behind her before shutting the doors behind us with a loud squeak. I cringed at the noise hoping no one outside heard.

The church was stashed with food sacks along the side leaving only a small clearing in the middle. I hadn't even given it a thought to how we were going to transport all of this food but even if we only managed to take two sacks it was better than none.

We took a step closer inside the room when a groaning could be heard behind us. I grabbed my dagger that was at my side and swerved around to face the noise. A stash of sacks feel as someone rose beneath them.

"What are you doing here?" It was Allan as he noticed Marian first before his eyes landed on me "'Laine…" his eyes widened "Look, just walk away now. Guy'll be back any second"

"We have to feed the villagers" I warned him "I'm sorry Allan" I turned around to pick up a sack as did Marian when the church doors opened followed by a pregnant pause before Allan yelled "Guy, I've caught the Nightwatchman!"

Before I knew it Marin kicked a sack of food at Allan sending him flying to the floor, rendering him quite. However, I turned, not sure where to go – my first through went to Allan to check if he was ok but I had to stop Gisborne. In my confusion, suddenly, my arm was pulled and something hard hit my back as I came crashing to the floor. A brief second of pain came as my head met the ground and then the world around me plummeted and everything was black.

*~How to tame an Outlaw~*

Allan didn't know what to do, after being knocked down by Marian's heavy blow he managed to find the effort to get up, convinced that the two girls would work their way around Guy, however the sight he met before him when he did finally look up, made him wished he'd never opened his eyes.

Gisborne and Marian were fighting. She was almost by the door but Allan's main focus was on Elaine. Without thinking, he rushed down to her seeing a pool of blood surrounding her head. Fearing the worse he checked her pulse and sighed in relief when he felt the steady beating.

"Elaine, wake up" He held onto her arms as he tried to wake up, but other than his hands trembling against her skin, she didn't move.

Allan tried to look around him for help but turned around and saw just in time to find Marian receive a nasty punch from Guy. She flung back, landing across the other side of the church from Allan and Elaine. Guy crept towards her, grabbing hold of a hot poker as he pinned the 'nightwatchman' down.

Allan leant down and kissed the top of Elaine's bleeding head a silent promise that he'd be back before running over to Marian and grabbing the poker from Guy's hands "Leave him – he's had enough"

Guy widened his eyes at Allan but nevertheless turned back to Marian who was shaking under his weight. Allan didn't know what to do as under the mask he saw her eyes dart from Guy's and Allan's eyes and then finally onto Elaine's motionless body.

Gisborne loomed down "Let's find out who you are" He said before ripping the mask off her face revealing a very frightened Marian who shrunk further back down onto the ground.

"no… not you" Gisborne uttered before clambering up and running to the door, stumbling along the way. Allan turned back to Marian, not sure what to say.

As soon as Gisborne was out of the room Allan turned to Elaine. She was still unconscious and in what looked like an extremely uncomftable position. He turned her on her side and picked up a small sack of what felt like flour and placed it under her head.

"Is she alright?" Marian's shaky voice uttered "I didn't know this was-"

"She's breatin'" Allan cut her off with an ice in his voice "Why'd you even come 'ere?"

"We wanted to help the people who had been forced out of their homes, no thanks to you off course" Marian replied angrily, gritting her teeth together.

"Look, you know I only work for them because I've got nowhere else, if I could go back to the gang I would… happily"

"Then help me…" Marian said quickly "Distract them long enough so that I can get myself and Elaine into the forest"

Allan sighed "This place is surrounded" Although his head was spinning as he tried to think of any possible way to get them out, alive.

"Please we have to do something!"

"I know that!" Allan snapped his eyes falling on Elaine. There was no way Marian and him would be able to carry Elaine's body all the way to the safety off the trees without being noticed and he didn't know how long Gisborne was going to be gone for.

"Then what are we going to do?"

"I don't know, Marian! Robin was always good with the gettin' out of places" he was always good with getting into places. How he missed the gang sometimes "Right, let's just pick 'Laine up and we'll-" he rushed to Elaine's side by the church door opened again with a squeak revealing Guy, holding a dagger in the palm of his hand.

"A year ago, I put this dagger into the Nightwatchman's side" Guy seemed, slowly walking closer, Marian backed away as he pointed the dagger at her "Show me"

Marian backed away slightly, trembling but nevertheless picked up the flaps of her shirt revealing a scar stretch across her belly. Gisborne gave a shaky gasp before stalking away again.

"Prepare the prisoners" He instructed Allan, pointing at Elaine as well, but he took a step forward.

"Guy, listen – please, I'm beggin' you-" Allan began, stepping in front of Elaine's body but Gisborne in a rage of fury snapped around grabbing the collar of his shirt and curled his fingers around it tightly making Allan wince.

"I DON'T CARE ABOUT WHATEVER RELATIONSHIP YOU HAVE WITH WALKER!" He spat "JUST TAKE THEM TO THE CASTLE!"

He let go abruptly, still seething and turned around to face the door with a last remarke "I've sent word to the Sheriff that we've captured the Nightwatchman and a member of Hood's gang"

"Guy…" Marian said in a barley audible whisper. Gisborne swerved around and pointed threateningly at her.

"You do not speak to me!"

Allan turned around to Marian and Elaine his eyes wide. Marian's eyes glazed over with tears as she realized what was happening, she was going to hang.

All of a sudden guards came in. Allan jumped up at the sound of five guards coming in. They took hold of Marian's arm and forced her from the church whilst two of them went either side of Elaine, and grabbed one arm each as her body dragged across the dusty ground.

"Careful" Allan growled, powerless as he watched Elaine disappear out of the church. In a rage of frustration he kicked at a sack, not sure what to do. Perhaps he would find time to get Robin, he could save Marian and Elaine but he doubted Gisborne would let him out of his sight, he saw the way he had come to Elaine's side when she was knocked out unconscious.

*~How to tame an Outlaw~*

Back at the castle Gisborne had placed Allan on duty to stand guard outside Marian's door, but he knew it was more just an excuse to stop him doing something about Elaine. He was aware that Gisborne now knew at least something was between Elaine and Allan, even if he didn't know the full extent of their relationship.

Marian had already tried escaping once but she hadn't got away. Allan was starting to think it was hopeless. There was no way he could send message to Robin and even if Allan did try and help Marian, that would only enrage Guy even more and possible put Elaine in danger. He didn't know what to do.

He paced the corridor, questions circling his mind. Had she woken up? Was she alright? Had Gisborne been down to see her? He doubted, with Marian on Guy's constant thoughts.

When he heard footsteps coming down the corridor he looked up to see Gisborne coming down the corridor again.

Allan jumped up "Look, Guy… I'm sorry but I've got to talk to you"

He could see Guy's jaw tense "Is it about Walker?" Allan had to stop himself from correcting him; It was A-dale now. When Allan nodded, Guy growled under his breath "I'll sort her out after Marian

But just as he was about to walk away, Allan caught his arm "Just hear me out. Listen, I know we don't see eye to eye sometimes but please, can't you just let her go or something" Guy raised his eyebrows "Guy please… when have I asked you for something!"

This only caused Guy's eyebrows to raise even higher.

"Alright, apart from letting me join your team but still…" Allan trailed off, he paused thinking how to phrase his next sentence "I can see you've worked out that's something's between me and Elaine"

"I haven't worked out how far yet"

Allan sighed "You want the truth?"

"That's a first" Gisborne said dryly but nodded nethertheless.

"We're married" Allan admitted, he trusted Guy enough to at least see reason. He was a good guy underneath it all.

Guy didn't seem as shocked as Allan would have expected but instead he scoffed at Allan's confession "You and Walker?" He laughed, he actually laughed!

"Wow, I didn't think you could hit so high, Allan" Gisborne said before his laugh was cut off abruptly "Anyway even if I wanted to do something, I couldn't, I've already sent word to the Sheriff"

"Guy… please" Allan's eyes widened further "Can't you just-"

"Lie to the Sheriff?"

Allan slowly nodded hoping this was a possibility.

Gisborne looked as if he was considering, he looked over at Marian's bedchamber door once before turning back to Allan a serious look flashed across his face "I'll tell you what, you help me and I'll think about helping you"

Allan's attention picked up "Sure anything"

"I need you to dress up as the nightwatchman" Gisborne said and Allan frowned.

"You want to help Marian?"

"I don't want to see her die…" He trailed off "You dress up as the nightwatchman and I'll see to it that your wife doesn't hang, but I can't just release her"

If that was the best Allan was going to get out of him, he wasn't going to argue but he didn't like the idea of leaving Elaine down in the dungeons all alone like that. He would have to plan an escape for her later.

"What are you going to tell the Sheriff?" Allan asked nervously.

Gisborne sniffed "I'll tell him we caught the wrong person, I've already checked she doesn't have one of those tags around her neck" That was strange to Allan, where was her tag? He didn't question it further when he realized Gisborne must have gone down to see her at some point.

"You saw her?" Allan's eyes picked up with interest "Is she alright?"

"Focus on getting Marian out first…" Gisborne warned before stalking away.

*~How to tame an Outlaw~*

Allan did what he said, as soon as the Sheriff arrived Allan was ready and dressed up as the nightwatchman. Just as they had brought Marian out, who was made unaware of this plan, Allan ran firing an arrow notifying them of the 'nightwatchman's presents' and staged an escape.

Gisborne had then told the Sheriff about Hood's member escaping too which he received a back lash around the face for. For the rest of the day the Sheriff was in a bad mood but Allan couldn't have been more relieved.

With Guy's and Allan's new found agreement that Elaine wouldn't be hanged or tortured and the Sheriff wouldn't find out about one of Hood's gang being down in his dungeons, although she would have to stay down there, Elaine was fine – well, at least she was alive, for now.

IntoTheStorm36: Thank you so much for the review and my story being the first to be reviewed on makes it a honour :D I'm so happy you're like Allan/Elaine as a pairing, I've got to be honest when I first started writing the pair I was a little worried the two wouldn't work together or I'd have to change Allan's character in order to make it work but knowing that you like them together is great, so thanks :D Thanks for telling me your opinions on Guy, I like how you had a sort of love hate relationship with him in the beginning and then completely turned off on him when he stabbed Marian, that's my thoughts on him too but writing this story has actually made me see a different side to him, before this story I hated him as a character but I've been trying to suit all my readers and a lot of them love Guy, although I'm not going to make him some 'hero' because that's not in his character (although I'm still following the same redemption arc in the show in this fanfic) but I feel like in the show he was a lot more human than the Sheriff was. I hope in this chapter I haven't wrote him too OOC due to him letting Elaine live, I think this was more based on his friendship with Allan now. Sorry I am killing Much (I love him too, he's ma bby, he must be protected at all cost and I'm an awful human being for killing him *cries*) but yes… I am still killing him off. I thought about killing either of Djaq or Will off but I also wanted to see a dark Robin in season 3 and I don't think Will's death would have sparked that much hatred for Gisborne if he had killed him.

Mister Charlie Chaplin: Thanks for being patient with me and giving another lovely review, I always look forward to them :D I'm slowly developing the Marian/Elaine relationship, I just hope I'm doing it well and it doesn't seem too forced. I've written it so that the mercenaries are being hired by the Sheriff due to Rotherham's departure of the black knights. Thanks for the review and I'm so glad you enjoyed the chapter :D

Exotic Little bird: Thanks for another great review :D There are more scenes of Marian in this chapter (although less of the gang) I want to develop the relationship between Marian and Elaine before the season finale. I had a lot of thought over the vows, I wasn't really sure how it worked in medieval ages so I sort of took inspiration from Robin/Marian's vows just before she dies. Yup, Elaine was intimate with Tom which was one of the reasons his betrayal hurt her so much. I'm really surprised at the reaction to Rotherham, I was half expecting everyone to hate him but I love that you guys are sympathetic towards him, he does love Meghan, they've been married for a number of years now so it's only natural but he definitely thinks of her as a 'possession'. Thanks for telling me what you thought off him, I wasn't sure what you guys thought and thank-you so so so much for telling me how to block users :D

Art Counterclockwise: Thanks so much for another review, it means so much :D There wasn't much interaction with Elaine/Meg this chapter, it was more focused on Elaine/Marian's relationship but yes, I agree, they do need to have a conversation about her past with Rotherham because Elaine doesn't really know much about her considering they're sisters but unfortunately due to the pace of the storyline that conversation won't be happening until season 3 when I'm giving Meg a much more major role (I've been sidelining her lately in the gang) About Guy, I genuinely hated his character until I wrote this fic and, in Marian's words, I'm 'starting to see a different side to him' and a lot of reviewers were asking to include him more. I'm trying to appeal to the whole RH fandom and now have Guy come across as evil – obviously I still have a storyline to follow that I've planned and I won't be changing it, which at some points might make Guy look evil – ie. Much being killed by Guy) So I never really thought about Meg and Elaine's roots, when I was looking at names (back in my planning stages for this fic… it was before I even thought of Meghan as a love interest for Guy) I was searching English names and Megan came up but underneath it was Meghan, I just preferred that variation and thought it suited her character more.

LordMarkAnthony: Thanks for the review, it means so much :D I'm glad you liked the scene in the bedroom, I wasn't sure if I did it well, I feel I left so much detailed out that I could have gone in depth with but if you guys are happy so am I :D So (I'm not going to lie) I completely forgot about the Roger of Stoke thing, when Amaranthe Athenais brought it up I kind of panicked…. And now I'm not really sure where to put it in, I forgot all about it in the 'Get Carter' episode. I know it's an important part of the plot as it's what lead Robin to realizing the King didn't receive his message but I might leave it out (agh I hate myself for saying that but I've royally screwed up that plot device, haven't I?)

Notjackinplural: Ah thanks for reviewing. I'm so glad you loved the chappy and your guess about Meghan being Meg might be correct, hehe but I'm literally a chapter away from the season finale and I'm so excited to start writing, I just hope I can write it as well as everyone's expecting.

Lady Megan Gisborne: Thanks for the review and I'm glad you enjoyed the Guy scenes, I was apprehensive at first if I'd written him too OOC but so far the response to what I've done with Guy seems alright. What did you think of him in this chapter?

Zoenetteprincess: Sorry for taking so long to update, but thanks for the review. We're only a chapter away from the holy land and I'm so excited to start writing it. I'll try and update ASAP but no promises, my exams are coming up and I've literally not done a single thing for preparation for them :/

Anne: Thanks for another review :D you're great. I'm so happy you like the idea of Allan being Married, I never pictured him as the settling down kind but with Elaine I'll make an exception :P I'm glad you're supporting Guy getting a redemption, I think even during these chapters I'm leading up to this redemption arc of him treating Elaine better. Sorry for taking so long to update, I re-wrote this chapter which is why it took so long to update (sorry :/) but it was necessary for the next two chapters (which I cannot wait to start writing, yay! I just hope I can write it to everyone's expectations)

Mademoiselle Nathalie: Thanks for another great review. I'm sorry for the lack of Marian/Robin, I know I've been missing out a lot of these scenes (I completely went past their scene in treasure of the nation) but I'm glad I made it up with the Elaine/Allan marriage. Yes, Elaine was intimate with Tom which was one of the reasons his betrayal hurt her so much and when she saw him again in season 1 she was so angry at him. About Meg, I realize I've been out-casting her lately but I'm glad you understand that I can't write about every character in every chapter. I'm giving Meg a bigger role in season 3, and yes, Meghan will be staying in England whilst they go to the Holy land, I didn't think there was any purpose with her bringing her along. At least in Sherwood she has a purpose helping the poor. I'm sorry for taking so long to update (I'm kind of dying right now with school work… my exams are coming up and I've done no preparation what so ever)

VSJ1976: Thanks so much for the review. It means a lot. I'm glad you found this story too :D Allan's one of my fav character in the show, IDKY he's just so understandable and most realistic I think. Don't worry I won't be writing about Kate (she'll be appearing in episode 2 of season 3 but that is all) You're analyses of Elaine and Allan was dead on, and really means a lot that you understand the two of them together. In the case of Guy, I'm trying to give him a redemption arc, I understand everyone has mixed feelings about him. I personally don't like him, infact before this fic I hated him but after writing it I've started to see a different side to him and I'm liking him a bit more but I will be giving him a redemption arc during season 3 but I understand that you think that he doesn't deserve one, him killing off Marian was unforgivable in my eyes as well, I don't understand how Robin could have forgiven him as well considering it was the love of his life. Jonas Armstrong is the only person I ever see as Robin Hood. I'm a great robin hood fan and watch a lot of the programmes and shows related about him but I still see Jonas every time.

Amaranthe Athenais: Thanks so much for another amazing review and it means so much that you think this is one of the best Allan/OC stories, really, it put a smile on my face after I read that. I realize now that I'm killing Much off I hadn't had many scenes with him for awhile so I decided bonding time between him and Elaine was what they needed before I brutally murder him off (that didn't sound evil at all) The wedding vows between Elaine and Allan were very much based on the ones that Marian and Robin said, I wasn't sure how medieval marriages work so I decided to follow something close to what the show writers had already done. Don't worry Allan will be keeping to his word from this moment onwards. Reading the 'wedding night' scene back now I realize how little detail I included, I was being very cautious about it, but you're right I could have included so much more with their scene but if you guys are happy with it I'm happy. Perhaps I'll do a side story one shot rated M about that night for the reviewers. Yes, Elaine wasn't a virgin and lost it to Tom, this was one of the reasons she was so hurt and upset over his betrayal and angry when he first returned. I'm so glad people are liking Guy's storyline and I hope I've succeeded in turning him around. I'm not too sure if in this chapter he was OOC for helping Allan with keeping Elaine alive. He's hated her for so long but I suppose Allan is now one of his closest and only friends and having him beg for her life, he would probably help. I do believe that him and Allan were really good friends. I was surprised at everyone's reaction to Rotheram actually, I thought everyone would hate him but I love how you guys are sympathetic towards him. I think he does genuinely love Meg, after years of marriage, but he sees her as more of a possession but he did stay because he was frustrated over not being able to find his wife. The mercenaries we see in this chapter are not related to Rotherham, they are there because of Rotherham's departure from the black knights but I'm planning Guy telling Allan that because they are mercenaries who fight for money and don't want to die in the process, they won't fight the King who may have a bigger army than them, they won't take the chance which is a reason why the Sheriff still goes to the Holy land. I'm not revealing too much about season 3... you'll just have to find out :P (not all of it's planned out due to the changes I'm making) but I have a basic plan. About Rotherham, I didn't even think about his role in the whole thing. Obviously, he's a big role in the fact that Robin realizes that his message wasn't sent which is one of the reasons he has to go to the holy land to warn the King but I completely missed it all out and forgot about and now I feel like a right idiot for missing it. I understand that he should be heavy on Allan's concsiouns as he knows what he's done, perhaps I could include a conversation about him with Elaine and Allan (I just had a idea about how that conversation could play out) but it wouldn't be able to feature until season 3 due to everything I have planned for the next two episode and how it's going to be so fast paced but other than that I don't think I can include him in it. Again, thank you so much for your reviews and PM's they never seize to amaze me.

Guys, thanks so much for your reviews and support it means so much and sorry for taking so long to update. I haven't had much time, I've got my first exam next week and I haven't prepared for any of them and I've been writing this chapter in between minutes and haven't even had time to read it back so I'm really sorry if there are any mistakes in it, I just wanted to update ASAP. To all the people who have PM'd me in the last week, I'm so sorry for not getting back to your quickly. I will answer them tomorrow, I promise (please don't hate me :/)
