Kitty Cat Boy
Kyo watched Koichi zone out in class for the third time. It was worrying to see his best friend lose track of reality. It seemed like Koichi was tired after a busy night again.
It seemed like the Kimura family was having a hard time. Koichi's grandmother was unwell and the doctor's bills were piling up. To keep up with the bills and pay the rent Koichi's mother was always busy working. Koichi was left to take care of himself most days.
As the bell announced the end of the day Kyo ran over to his friend.
"Come over today," Kyo said softly.
Koichi looked up from his desk tiredly, "Kyo?"
"I'm inviting you over. I refuse to take no for an answer," Kyo said with a smirk. "I'll help you with your homework."
"Alright," Koichi smiled softly.
"Oi! Misaki! Do you want to come over? I will help you with your homework," Kyo called out.
Misaki looked up from hoisting his bag, "Nii-san is picking me up. He just came back from visiting his friend in Tokyo."
"Please say hello to Takahashi-san for me," Koichi said standing up.
"I will," Misaki said before running out the door. "Bye!"
Tohru stood by the door waiting for them. She looked worried, but Koichi didn't seem to notice.
"Tohru, when we get home can you see if Okaa-san left any snacks in the fridge?" Kyo asked.
"I can make soething if you want?" Tohru agreed not taking her eyes off of Koichi who did not seem to be listening.
Kyo sighed and grabbed his friend's hand to lead them out of the classroom. Koichi was startled for a moment before relaxing and allowed himself to be led away.
