Chapter XXXVI: Roar of Leo

Point of View- Hannah

When the three of them came back up, I went over to Blair. 'Hi Hannah.' 'Blair, can I have a word?' 'Sure.' We then left for backstage, where we were collared by an interviewer. 'Blair Flannigan, you've just been involved in a great tag-duel, may I have a word?' 'We won, that's what we do. Kari, Radley, you can't keep running away. You beat us once, why not at least try do it again?'

We then left to talk. 'I've seen the texts.' 'What texts?' 'America, how she hates you and how Ally should have never have been born?' 'Nothing that she's not been saying for about 15 years. Don't worry about it.' 'I do worry though Blair. You know that I worry about you. Please- you don't need to suffer like this.'

'What choice do I have?' 'Stand up to them.' 'I've done that, it doesn't work. Just don't' 'Tell Phil. I know- I've not said a word to him about it. Because I can deal with it.' 'Meaning?' 'Tomorrow, we are flying out to Michigan and we're dealing with this once and for all. I'm not arguing about this anymore.'

'Really? Why tomorrow' 'You know why.' 'What are you going to tell Phil?' 'I'm going to tell him that we're going to Michigan to see your Grandma- I'm going for moral support.' 'Please- we've got a tournament in Chicago fairly soon.' 'I'll leave it until then on one condition.' 'Anything.' 'You let me tell Rio. I'll make it clear to her that Phil is not to ever find out.'

'Fine.' 'Good. One more thing.' 'Go on.' 'Why did you deny knowledge of the text?' 'I didn't know I had one- must have come through while I was duelling. I never have my phone with me while I'm duelling. Thanks Hannah.' 'For what?' 'I would never have had the guts to tell Rio myself- I don't want her to worry after what she's been through.'

'I understand. Trust me- I know about bullying- I've been there. I know about family troubles- I've been there. Why don't you want Phil to know?' 'You know what his temper's like. And he's very protective of me as well. He's protective of all of us.' 'I won't say anything to him, ever. Even if he did find out, he doesn't need to know that I know. As for Rio, I'm going to tell her, just not now. When we're back in England, then I'll tell her.' 'Thank you.'

We then returned, just in time to see Tee defeating Mark Poleon with Hieratic Dragon of Eset. After the duel, Akiza presented Tee with a replica of the Young-Gun Title. "Your winner, and the new WDC Young-Gun Champion- Tee Taylor!" Just as Tee lifted her title to major boos, The Boss by Rick Ross played as Michael Grey Adams came out.

'Akiza, I think you're being a bit hasty here. Tee is not the Young-Gun Champion, because Maddy Robinson-Cummings is.' "She's coming back?" 'Well she's informed me by e-mail that she intends on utilising her 90 day no compete clause. So I am guessing that that means she is planning on returning.'

"After the 90 days?" 'We'll cross that bridge once we get to it. The point remains though- you cannot proclaim yourself as Young-Gun Champion when you are not. On the subject of championships, I can confirm that the Trifecta Frozen Diamonds and the team of Kalin Kessler and Astrid Hofferson are due a title match against the No Remorse Corps. Astrid is in action in the Baltic Championships Super 8s in Tromso at our next stop, so I intend to have a Triple-Threat duel in Chicago in 2 weeks' time.

"That does not mean that we won't give the champions something to do though- we're going to have Kari against Kalin Kessler, and Radley against Kris Travis. Now if you wouldn't mind not pretending to be the Young-Gun Champion.' 'What if she doesn't?' 'She will be suspended indefinitely.' Tee and Akiza then left.

'Thank you. Now to why I am here. That little incident I've just had has sorted out the first piece of news, which was about Maddy. It's also sorted out the little thing about a title shot. So straight to the main announcement. You may or may not be aware of the bidding process for the WDC's World Championship extravaganza at the end of the year.'

'Over the mid-season break, I have visited the 3 remaining contenders for this- Beijing, Tokyo, and Los Angeles. I have discussed monetary issues and I have discussed logistical issues with the men and women who were behind all 3 bids. I have seen the local areas and the stadia themselves to see if they are suitable for such an occasion. At this moment, I would like to welcome out Chan Zhen Yun, the presenter of the Chinese bid, Satoshi Kawajima, the financier of the Tokyo bid, and Gabriel Mark Marquez Jr., the Mayor of Los Angeles and the President of Los Angeles 2016, attempting to bring sporting events to Los Angeles.'

The three of them then came out in suits. 'Welcome men. Before there is any allegations of sexism, I am obliged to tell you that I had originally invited Rosie Atori, the President of the Tokyo bid, but she had to turn down the opportunity to be here due to prior business engagements. So she sent Mr. Kawajima instead, as the next highest authority on the bid.'

He then listened closely to his earpiece. 'Before I tell you what the result is, while the votes are being counted up, I will explain the voting process. The national duelling organisations of all countries represented in the WDC have voted for their favoured option and a second choice. Also, every duellist in the WDC has been given a vote themselves, excluding James Birchall, who is of course suspended pending a criminal trial.'

'Once every vote has been cast, they are counted up. If no bid manages to gain 46% of the ballot after a recount, then the bid with the lowest percentage shall be eliminated. The votes that have been cast in favour of them will then be transferred to the Second Choice bid. Then, the bid with the highest percentage will win. If it is a tie, then the casting vote will go to the WDC board.'

'I have heard just now that there is a result- no bid gained the required percentage in the first ballot. Therefore, we will have to eliminate the bid with the fewest votes. The percentages will now come up on the screens around the arena.' The bids then came up- Tokyo lead with 44%, LA with 38%, and Beijing with just 18%.

'Ladies and Gentlemen, the Chinese bid is now eliminated. Mr. Yun, thank you for your time.' He nodded and left. 'That leaves 2 bids now. The second choice bids will now be added on. Therefore, with a total of 59%, and going on to be the host for the 2016 WDC World Championships- Tokyo in Japan!'

The Japanese representative then punched the air as the American one just clapped and left. 'The Championships will be held from the 26th June to the 7th July 2016 in the Tokyo Dome. The Qualifiers will be from the 13th to the 21st June 2016, and I can announce that they will be held at the Renegades Arena in Newcastle, England. The qualifiers will feature all WDC competitors, and for the first ever time, will also include some of the world's best amateurs.'

'Thank you and I will bid you goodnight.' "Will you really?" The masked individuals who attacked Rio and Astrid previously jumped Mr. Adams, beating him savagely until Phil, Rio, and Blair came out along with Kalin and Astrid. Despite their strength though, the 11 strong crew quickly overpowered them, and it ended with the biggest one of them blasting Phil in the ribs with a sledgehammer. They then all took their masks off, and Zuzu was amongst them. A small man with glasses and a ridiculous stripy suit then came out.

"Ladies and Gentlemen, we represent the LFD- Leo Federation of Duelling. We are the one true duelling federation. Let me introduce us all.'

'Firstly, please let me introduce our LFD Intercontinental Champion. From Haarlem in Holland, Dennis MacField. Next, from New Zealand, the beautiful and mysterious Celina. From Elicott City, Maryland, Zuzu Boyle. Our Tag-Team Champions- the team of Bastion Misawa and Chazz Princeton. From Japan, this is Kaze. From Berlin, he is the Berlin Wall- Wagnar Perry. From Rio de Janiero, Brazil, Paul Raul. We have two moles who have worked here for a while- introducing Leo and Justin Pipe. And finally, from Tokyo, Japan, he is the LFD Champion and a 7 time LFD World Champion- the name that strikes fear into the hearts of all who hear it, The Sledgehammer! We are LFD and we will defeat you all and take your company. These were the first victims, there will be many more if you do not surrender."

They then posed together, before leaving. Shortly afterwards, everyone got up apart from Phil, who I ran down to check on. 'Phil- please speak to me.' 'What d'ya wanna hear? Because I ain't done.' He then struggled up, bleeding from the mouth. 'I would kiss you but I don't think you'd like the taste of my blood in your mouth.'

I then kissed him and wiped the blood from his mouth. 'Till death do us part, I'm always going to be there to patch you up and make you feel better.' I then helped him up, and he grabbed a mic. 'WDC- this is a call to arms! We are in a situation like never before. We are at war, and we must win. If we don't stand as a united front, then all of your jobs will be gone- no more money. No more dreams.'

I then took the mic off of him. 'Believe me when I say these words- we will fight. We will fight until the very end, and at the very end, we will win, whatever the cost. Whatever... the personal cost. We will win. People, I ask of you one thing- support us. I stand here, not as a mother, but as a twice World Champion!'

I was then interrupted by Kieran's music. 'The following duel is your main event of the evening, and is for the WDC Championship. Already out, from Twin Falls, Idaho, Cold Blooded Rio Kastle. Introducing the other challenger, from Croydon, England, Kieran Byrne.' Kieran walked straight down to the duelling zone. When he got down there, he stared at me, before roaring and raising his hand to the sky.

Rhydian's music then played as he emerged. 'Finally, from Llanfair PG, Wales, this is your WDC Champion, and the Loose Cannon- Rhydian Morris.' Rhydian raised his title, before strolling down. When he got there, he started shouting at the crowd about being the best in the world. A doctor then checked on Rio briefly, before she joined Kieran and Rhydian.

"Hey Rio- don't look so good, do you?" 'I'm fine- just a few little scrapes. I've still got more than enough left in the tank to beat both of you. Just don't start flirting, ok?' "It's everyone for themselves- I want that title." The 3 of them then activated their duel disks, as I helped Phil to the doctor's room.

WDC Championship: Rio Kastle LP:4000 vs. Kieran Byrne LP:4000 vs. (c) Rhydian Morris LP:4000

Turn 1- Rhydian- "I start. I draw. I think I'll throw down a monster in Defence mode and end my turn with 3 face-downs."

Rio- 'I draw. I activate Water Hazard. Thanks to this, once every turn while I control no monsters, I can summon a Water monster from my hand. I summon Unshaven Angler (Atk:1500). Next I tribute my Angler to Advance summon Ocean Dragon Lord- Neo Daedalus (Atk:2900). I end my turn with 2 face-downs.'

Kieran- "My turn. I summon Marmiting Captain (Atk:1200). Activate it's ability now. I shuffle 1 card from my hand to my deck. The deck is shuffled. I draw a card. I summon that card if a monster. I discard if not a monster. I draw. I summon Superheavy Samurai Battleball (Atk:100). I activate Battleball's power. It lets me Synchro summon."

'What's the catch.' "Huh?" 'All Tuners let you Synchro summon- what's the catch with this one?' "I tune Level 2 Battleball with your Level 8 Ocean Dragon Lord. I Synchro summon Superheavy Samurai Warlord Susanowo (Def.:3800). I have no permission to attack, so I end my turn."

Rhydian- "I draw. I see your field's empty Rio. I flip face-up Worm Apocalypse (Atk:300). Worm Apocalypse's ability lets me destroy one of your Spells or Traps. I choose the one on the left.' Worm Apocalypse bit through Rio's face-down (Insurance), destroying it (Rio LP:4000-5000). "Why did you gain points?"

'You destroyed the wrong one. Insurance gives me 1000 Life points when destroyed or sent back to my hand. I figured this would be 2-1, so I thought I'd give myself that advantage.' "Doesn't matter- I tribute Apocalypse to summon Worm King (Atk:2700). Worm King, attack Rio directly." Worm King grabbed Rio with it's 4 fists, and threw her to the ground viciously, her head bouncing off the steel (Rio LP:5000-2300).

"That's her done." Rio then got back up. "I thought you said you'd got rid of me?' "I end my turn."

Rio- 'I draw. I activate Moray of Greed, letting me shuffle 2 Water monsters from my hand into my deck. Next, I draw 3 cards. I hear you deck, time to kick things up a notch. I activate the effect of Water Hazard, to summon Blizzard Thunderbird (Atk:1600). Next I summon out Snow Dragon (Atk:1400).'

'I overlay my two Level 4 monsters to build the overlay network!' Rio then glowed pink. "What's going on?" 'This... is the power I possess! I summon out Number 103- Ragnazero (Atk:2400)!' "Thought you were scared." 'I was... until I heard Jodi say something. She said that you need to reveal your true self. Just because I have Barian powers, doesn't make me one of them.'

'I now activate Shield and Sword. This swaps the Attack and Defence of all monsters on the field (Number 103 Atk:2400-1200, Susanowo Def.:3800-2400, Worm King Atk:2700-1100). Which is good news for me- Ragnazero, activate your ability. By detaching an overlay unit, it can destroy Susanowo because it's current and original Attack are different. Then I get to draw a card. Moonblade Blitz.'

Ragnazero sliced Susanowo, destroying it. 'Nice- I activate Dark Room of Nightmare.' "How does that help you?" 'You'll see once I activate Rank-up Magic Barian's Force. This ranks up Number 103 into a Chaos Xyz monster. Go- Chaos Xyz Evolution! I summon out Chaos Number 103- Ragnafinity (Atk:2800).'

'Ragnafinity, activate your ability. By detaching one Chaos Overlay Unit, I can deal you with damage equal to the difference between your monster's current and original Attack Rhydian. Don't forget about Dark Room of Nightmare either. Your monster is then banished.' Ragnafinity threw her weapon at Worm King, making it vanish, and knocking Rhydian to a knee (Rhydian LP:4000-2100).

'Rhydian, I have you right where I want you. Say goodbye to your title. Ragnafinity, destroy him!' "I activate my face-down. It's called Magic Cylinder. This absorbs the blow and you take 2800 points of damage. Failure for the club again- I bailed out at the right time." Magic Cylinder absorbed the shot from Ragnafinity, and fired it back at Rio, zeroing her Life points (Rio LP:2300-0000).

'I activate the ability of Guard Penguin. When I take effect damage, it summons itself out and I regain that amount of Life points.' Guard Penguin summoned itself (Def.:1200). Rio then restored her Life points (Rio LP:0000-2300). 'Thank goodness for the rule change. I now activate my face-down- Double Payback. This gains 1 Payback Counter for every 1000 points of damage I just took. So it gains 2 Payback Counters. During my next turn, I can get rid of this to deal you both with 2000 points of damage for each Counter. I end my turn.'

Kieran- "I draw. I set a monster in Defence mode and end my turn."

Rhydian- "My go. I activate Premature Burial, costing me 800 Life points to revive Worm King (Atk:2700, Rhydian LP:2100-1300). Next I activate Card Destruction, making us all ditch our hands and draw new ones. I summon Worm Xex (Atk:1800). Because I control Xex, Worm Yagan summons itself out to the field (Atk:1000). I now use the effect of Worm King, to tribute Yagan and destroy Ragnafinity."

Worm King bared it's teeth, biting Ragnafinity, and destroying it. 'Next I tribute Xex to destroy your monster Kieran." "You" "Every man for themselves- that's what you said." Worm King bared it's teeth again, destroying Kieran's face-down monster (Giant Rat). "Don't worry Kieran- I'll take you on fair and square once I've got rid of the annoying bug. Finish Rio off Worm King."

'I activate A Hero Emerges!' "See what I mean about her being a bug?" 'Now you pick a card in my hand. If it's a monster, I can summon it. The only catch is that there is only 1 card in my hand. I summon Big Whale (Def.:3000).' "I end my turn with a face-down."

Rio- 'I draw. I activate the effect of Double Payback, dealing both of you with 4000 points of damage. This is the end.' Double Payback created two timebombs, which turned into massive explosions (Rhydian LP:1300-300, Kieran LP:4000-2000). "I survived thanks to Aegis of Gaia. That gave me 3000 more Life points so long as it remains face-up. That gave me just enough Life points to see through the turn."

"And I had Damage Translation face-down, halving the Effect damage." 'Rhydian, who said anything about you surviving the turn? I activate the ability of Big Whale. By tributing it, I can summon out 3 Level 3 Water monsters from my deck with their effects negated. I choose to summon Blizzard Warrior, Cloudian Poison Cloud, and Elemental Hero Ice Edge (BW Atk:1400, PC Atk:0000, IE Atk:800).'

'I now activate Elevation Magic 1,2,3. This raises the Levels of all Level 3 and below monsters on my field by one (Level:3-4)x3. I now overlay my Level 4 Poison Cloud, Blizzard Warrior, and Ice Edge to build the overlay network. I have friends in very important places you see. This is for a good friend of mine called Alito! I summon Number 105- Battlin' Boxer Star Cestus (Atk:2500).'

'Star Cestus, attack Rhydian's Worm King!' "Time to take one for the team. I activate the effect of my Superheavy Samurai Soulbang Cannon that resides in my Graveyard. By banishing it, I can negate your attack, and we both take 1000 points of damage Rio. This was always you against us." 'Whatever happens here, this is your last night as champ Rhydian.'

Soulbang Cannon then blaster both Kieran and Rio (Kieran LP:2000-1000, Rio LP:2300-1300). 'There's nothing else I can do- I end my turn. Gotta hope for the best now.' "You keep fighting- it's no good though." 'Still gonna fight.' Rio then smiled. "You're smiling- why?" 'I'm enjoying myself- this buzz I'm getting.'

Kieran- "I draw. I activate Graceful Charity. This allows me to draw 3 cards. I now discard 2. I drew Pot of Greed, giving me 2 more cards. I now activate Tremendous Fire, dealing you 1000 points of damage Rio.' Tremendous Fire then caught Rio with flames, damaging her further (Rio LP:1300-300).

"I activate Monster Reborn, to revive Superheavy Samurai Big Benkei (Def.:3500). Big Benkei, destroy her Star Cestus." 'Why though? You know about Star Cestus' ability.' 'I do, but I have Doppelgänger, meaning you both take the same damage I do. And because it's everyone, that means I did my job." 'Meaning...' "I never intended to take the title off of Rhydian like this. The £25,000 helped." 'Sell-out.'

Star Cestus and Big Benkei clashed, and the force of the clash ended the duel (Rio LP:300-0000, Rhydian LP:300-0000, Kieran LP:1000-0000). After the duel, Akiza, Tee, and Lukas came out. On Rhydian's orders, they started attacking Rio, until I went out with one of Phil's tyre jacks, making them back off. Rhydian then took a mic.

"I just wanted to tell you all- you don't deserve to see me anymore. I am vacating the WDC Championship as I'm not going to be around for a while. But when I'm back, I'm going to take back everything... including my girl, my property, Maddy." Rhydian then dropped the mic, and laid out the title on the ground, as the show ended.

After the show, I helped Rio back. 'You ok?' 'That was awesome- I just wanna go back out and do it all again.' 'Watching you almost made me want to go full-time again.' 'Really? Wow.' We then left for home. When we got to the airport, Jack was there. 'Yo- is it true Rio's won the big title?' 'No- she was double-teamed, and it ended in a 3-way draw.'

'I'm sure you'll get that title soon enough. No new gold then?' 'No- the cowards ran again. Let's go.' We then flew back to England. When we got home, Jana was just leaving. 'Everything ok?' 'Yeah- Maddy wanted to be left alone. So I did.' 'Where's Jodi?' 'Getting Milk from the local shop.' 'Everything been fine here?'

'Yeah- Maddy's still in a load of pain, but there's nothing I can do- even Wolfblood medicine has it's limits. I came to make Maddy feel better, and if leaving helps that, then I'll do that. Thanks for letting me stay.' 'Thanks for being there for her.' 'It's not a problem- I was wrong to ever doubt her. I just want to make it up to her, because she's a good friend, and an even better Alpha.'

Jana then left using Primal Eolas. Soon afterwards, we went in. 'Hi Maddy.' 'Hey Rio- you were great.' 'Thanks.' 'And you Blair- glad you found your voice.' Blair just smiled. 'Rio, can I have a word with you?' 'Of course you can.' We then went to talk privately.

'What's up?' 'It's Blair- there's no easy way to put this, but I'm worried about her. She's got cousins I think they are in Michigan who are threatening her and Ally. I mean seriously threatening.' 'That's awful- why Blair- she never did anything to deserve it.'

Point of View- Rio

In the middle of the night, I was woken by banging. When I sat up, Blair had a suitcase out. 'Wha... what time is it?' 'Half 2. Sorry, didn't mean to disturb you.' 'I thought you'd have unpacked by now.' 'I'm leaving.' 'What?' 'I'm leaving- I don't have time to explain. I'll leave a note downstairs explaining.' 'But... why?'

'I've got some stuff I need to clear up.' 'But B.' 'Trust me- I'll be back before you know it.' She then kissed me on the head. 'Stay strong until I return. I love you Rio, you're an amazing person and... I'll miss you while I'm gone.' 'Don't go then sis.' 'Sorry sis- have to. Trust me- I'll be back. Love you.' Blair then snuck out of the room and I fell asleep again.

When I got up later in the morning, Phil was raging downstairs. 'What do you mean she's gone? She's got a bloody shift in the Farm shop.' 'Gone as in gone away. I don't know where.' I then noticed the note she left on the table, like she said she would. Before I got chance to say anything though, Maddy came down.

'Blair's left me a note sayin she left?' 'Does it say where?' 'No- says she has "stuff" to sort out. I kinda thought we were bigger than some "stuff".' I then picked up the note, and Maddy read it. 'What does it say Maddy?' 'Yeah- leave it to the girl with the broken ribs who's just got up.' She then read the note out.

'Dear family, you may notice that I'm not there. I have realised that I need to leave. Now I know this will cause inconvenience and a lot of upset, but you need to know that it is nothing persona against any of you, I have things to sort out. I promise I'll make up for the Farm shop hours I miss when I get back.'

'Maddy, Rio, you two are my sisters, and I couldn't love you anymore. Maddy, I've borrowed your blue scrunchee, I promise I'll bring it back. Rio, I know you'll have to find a new assistant now, but I'm sure you'll find someone with more leadership qualities than I possess. Maddy, please agree to wear that corset Sakura suggested, it'll allow you to keep your title.'

'Jodi, thanks for making this possible by finding my passport. I know that was never the intention, but thanks anyway, you've always been so kind to me and sometime I will repay you. Hannah knows why I have left, but please do not get annoyed when she refuses to say why, she's not even known 24 hours, and I made her promise she would keep the secret for me.'

'Please tell Astrid that she is allowed to have mates, she won't be any less scary with them, and also tell her that she should seize the day with Kris because he is genuinely in love with her. Finally Phil and Hannah, thank you so much for caring for me, I will repay you all sometime. I trust that everything will be calm and you will continue to be the brilliant couple you are. I promise I'll see you soon, and sometime, you will understand what's going on. With lots of love, B.'

'P.S.: Tell Jade I love her please, and also tell her that I'll absolutely be back in time for her birthday, because it's the first time I've been able to celebrate the birthday of the love of my life.

P.S.S. I think P.S.S. is right, that's what I think I was told. Anyway, I've left CDs to help with that tutoring I said I'd do for Denzil- just tell him that I'm on urgent business, and I'll be back as soon as I can.

P.S.S.S: Hannah and Maddy, both off you look even better when your hair is in a ponytail. Especially you Hannah, what we discussed a few days ago. 'You know I can't tell you, however much I want to. I promised Blair I wouldn't say a thing, and there's no way I'm going to go back on my word.'

Phil then just walked out the room. 'He'll be back... he just needs time to calm down.' 'How long will that be? We've got the Arena class later.' 'He'll be back for that.' 'Hope so.' 'I don't understand why she left so suddenly though- she gave no indication of that yesterday.' 'Miss her already.' 'Don't we all? Blair probably saved my life- I haven't paid her back yet.'

A couple of hours later, Phil returned. 'Hannah,' 'I'm not going to tell you what she said.' 'I don't want you to.' 'You're thinking straight now.' 'Just assure me one thing about what she said.' 'Go on.' 'Her leaving is nothing to do with anything here at home.' 'No- I'm not telling you what it is, but it's nothing to do with us, I promise you.' 'I'm not going to ask you to tell me- I know how hard this is for you.' 'I can cope. Listen Phil, take the day off- I'll take the Arena if you want.' 'Thanks. I'm in the Shop today anyway.' 'I'll be back after the Arena- I'll cover Blair's shifts while she's away.'

After Hannah put her hair in a ponytail, she went back to Phil. 'You sure you'll be ok without me?' 'I'll cope.' 'I love you so much.' 'I love you too.' They then kissed. 'Right- we're off. We'll be back soon I promise. Oh yeah- where's the work you've got for them?' 'In the office in the Arena.' 'Thanks. Love you.' 'Love you too.'

We then left in the Rolls. 'Sorry about B' 'Not your fault. If Blair needs to sort stuff out there, we need to give her time.' 'Meaning' 'If she's not back in a week, we go to Michigan.' 'That's where she'll be.' 'Most likely.' 'Why didn't she just speak to me though- I don't understand it.' 'She didn't want to talk to me about it- I found texts on her phone and forwarded them to myself. I only found out because Blair never has her phone on her when duelling.'

'And you confronted her about it?' 'Yeah. Well confronted isn't the word really, but I talked to her about it.' 'You're still not telling Phil?' 'No. I don't break a promise.' When we got to the base, Astrid came up to us. 'Everything ok? You don't look very happy.' 'It's Blair.' 'I'll speak to her later if you like.' 'It's not that simple- she's gone.'

'Gone as in done a runner?' 'Wouldn't put it like that, but yeah- left in the early hours. Left us a cryptic note.' 'Not answering her phone?' 'Straight to voicemail.' 'She'll be back.' 'Better had be.' 'Where's Phil?' 'He's upset over the situation, so I told him I'd look after the group with Rio today.' 'They're all waiting there, apart from Jade, who's apparently reading a letter.' 'Blair sent a letter to her explaining about her going.'

We then went in. 'Right everyone, you've got me today.' I then opened the door and they went in. Just as we were closing the door, Jade came running up. 'Sorry I'm late.' 'We'll let you off with it- as far as I'm concerned, you're only late once I've closed the door. I take it you know about Blair?' 'Yeah- she sent me a letter.' 'Explain anything?' 'No. Just told me that it wasn't my fault she'd gone, and she loves me. Anyway- I'll worry about that after the session in here.' 'Good on you for keeping strong.' 'What choice do I have?'

We then went in. 'Right, Phil's off today so you've got me. Don't worry, I'm no pushover. I've got some work that's been set for you, so you can be getting on with that. Any questions?' Denzil put his hand up. 'If it's about the training with Blair, she's been called away urgently. She apologises for not being here, but she's left a CD with instructions.'

'She said she'd be here.' 'She's been called away at the last minute due to family issues. She sends her apologies, she'll be back as soon as she can.' 'Fine.' 'Anyway, we are getting to the end of the course now, so it's imperative that you're all here every week. Today we're going through comebacks. However good you are, there will be a time when you're up against it- a time when you need to mount a comeback. We're going through that today.'

An hour later, the session was over. 'All being well, Phil's going to be back on Friday. Denzil, the CD's here for when you want it- Sakura's going to be watching over the Arena all afternoon. Everyone else, group dismissed.' We then went out. Shortly afterwards, I got a phone-call. 'Hello?' 'Hi, is this Rio Kastle?'

'Yeah- that's me. Who's asking?' 'Hi, I'm Alex- Blair's sister.' 'Oh hi Alex. Have you heard from Blair?' 'Just phoning to tell you that she's safe- she's with me in Michigan. She apologises for' 'Why can't she speak to us?' 'Blair, do I have to be your go-between? She's coming now.' 'Blair, you there?' 'Hi Rio, I thought you'd wait longer than 10 hours to contact Alex.' 'She contacted me. Why have you run away?'

'I wouldn't call it running away.' 'At half 2 in the morning?' 'I've got some stuff to sort out, and I didn't want anyone following me. My intention was to phone you once I'd got settled here, but I've only arrived in the past 10 minutes.' 'How long are you gonna be?' 'If I knew, I'd say. Trust me- the sooner I'm done, the better.'

'What's going on anyway?' 'I need to sort out the stuff between America and myself, and I want to say goodbye to my Grandma- she's dying.' 'I didn't know.' 'It's ok, I know you didn't. Try not to miss me too much.' 'Why can't we come over?' 'I have to sort this out for myself. Nobody's digging me out of this hole. Just tell Phil that I'm safe and well please. I'll probably see you in Chicago for the US Championships.'

'I... love you sis.' 'Same here. Give Maddy a message will you?' 'Why can't you do it yourself?' 'I'm low on credit.' 'Fine- what is it?' 'That I hope to see her in Chicago. Also, she owes me a friendly duel when she's better.' 'What about me?' 'I owe you one. One thing though- don't tell them where I am please.' 'I understand- I won't say a thing apart from to Hannah and Jade.' 'Thanks. Love you sis.' 'And you.' 'Bye Riana.' 'Bye B.'

'How is Blair?' 'Sounds fine- she's in Michigan. She's got some stuff to sort out, and we'll see her in Chicago.' 'You sure you're ok?' 'Yeah- looking after Maddy's my current priority. What are you going to tell Phil?' 'That I've been in contact with her and she's well, but won't say where she is. It's a good job I really like Blair, because I'm lying to Phil for her.'

Hannah then got her phone out. 'Hi baby.' 'Hi Hannah, how did it go?' 'Really well- got a lot of work to mark. Rio's been in contact with Blair's sister Alex.' 'Yeah.' 'According to her, Blair's been in contact and sounds perfectly well. She didn't specify where she was, other than being somewhere in the USA.'

'Thanks.' 'You feeling better now?' 'Yeah- sorry about earlier.' 'Blair's a smart girl- she'll be perfectly fine. Why don't we start making out that list for our Autobiography later?' 'Good idea. Business is pretty quiet today in the shop- not sure we're even going to make enough to cover the costs today.' 'We're ok- we've been doing good business lately. Those Clangers Maddy introduced are selling really well.'

'By the way, Maddy's helping me out here.' 'I hope it's just on the till.' 'What do you think? It's encouraging her to stop moping around. And before you complain, Maddy seems pretty happy there, aren't you Maddy!' 'What?' 'I said that you're happy working!' 'Oh yeah! I'm good. You on the phone to Mum?' 'Yeah.' 'Pass me over will you?'

'Hi Mum.' 'Hi Maddy- how you feeling?' 'Brighter than before. Still in a load of pain, but that'll clear.' 'Good. Just thought I'd let you know that Rio's been in contact with Blair's sister Alex.' 'She heard from Blair?' 'Yeah- she wouldn't say where Blair is, other than being in USA. She'll apparently see us for the US Nationals in Chicago.'

'Thanks. Sak's mithering me about that corset thing again- I'm still not wearin it.' 'I'm not going to mither you about it- I think you should do, but it's up to you.' 'Thanks Mum. Love you.' 'And you.' The call then ended. 'What do we do now?' 'I don't know. Probably just head back.' 'I suppose.' We then got collared by Jade.

'Rio, you heard from Blair?' 'No- heard from her sister though. She's safe and well apparently, but isn't saying where she is.' 'Thanks- as long as she's ok.' 'Yeah- sure she is.' 'Are me and Brooke allowed to spar in the Arena for a while?' 'Yeah- we'll keep an eye on you because Sakura's not down yet. We encourage healthy competition. Besides- we're filming all duels here for a possible DVD release. ' 'Cool. You coming to duel Rio?' 'After you've graduated, then we can duel.' 'I'm free.' 'Sounds good.'

Brooke and Jade then went into the Arena again. 'Don't think I'm going easy on you Jade.' 'Wouldn't want you to. Let's do this.' They then both activated their duel disks.

Arena Duel: Brooke Angharad LP:4000 vs. Jade Goocheneyad LP:4000

Turn 1- Brooke- 'My idea, I'll start.' 'It was sort of my idea, but go on.' 'I draw. I summon Skilled White Magician (Atk:1700). I end my turn with a face-down.'

Jade- 'I draw. I summon Fortune Lady Water (Atk:?-1200). Next I activate Double Summon, letting me tribute Water to summon Fortune Lady Earth (Atk:?-2400).' 'Skilled White Magician gains a Spell Counter for that (SC:0-1).' 'Now attack Skilled White Magician.' 'I activate my face-down. It's called Mischief of the Yokai. That means all face-up monsters lose 2 Levels until the end of the turn. Which isn't good for your Fortune Lady (SWM Level:4-2, FLE Level:6-4, Atk:2400-1600).'

'I cancel my attack. I end my turn with a face-down (FLE Atk:1600-2400).'

Brooke- 'I draw. I activate Shrink, reducing the Original Attack of your Earth by half. But of course, it doesn't quite work like that does it?' 'I activate Cursed Seal of the Forbidden Spell. This allows me to send a Spell to my graveyard from my hand, and in return, you can't use Shrink in this duel now.' 'Even so, my Magician gains a 2nd counter (SC:1-2).'

'I think I'll drop a face-down, and activate Spell Power Grasp. This lets me give a 3rd Spell Counter to my Magician (SC:2-3). Next, I add another Spell Power Grasp to my hand. I use the ability of my Magician to tribute it and summon out Buster Blader (Atk:2600). Buster Blader, destroy Earth.' 'I activate my face-down. It's called Impenetrable Attack, and it lets me choose it's effect. Either my monster stays around this turn, or I take no damage this turn. I think I'll save my Lady Earth.'

'Doesn't bother me one bit- continue the attack.' Buster Blader slammed it's sword into Earth, lowering Jade's Life points (Jade LP:4000-3800). 'I end my turn.'

Jade- 'I draw. During my Standby Phase, Earth gains 1 Level, as well as 400 Attack and Defence points (Level:6-7, Atk:2400-2800). When she does, you take 400 points of damage.' Earth shot a light at Brooke, reducing her Life points (Brooke LP:4000-3600). 'Buster Blader's 2600 Attack points can't live with Earth. Attack her Buster Blader now!'

Earth zapped Buster Blader with her wand, destroying it (Brooke LP:3600-3400). 'I end my turn.'

Brooke- 'I draw. I activate Pot of Greed, letting me draw 2 cards. Next I activate Fusion Birth.' 'Never heard of it.' 'It forces me to send 5 cards from my deck to my graveyard. If Fusion Material monsters are amongst them, I can summon that Fusion monster by banishing the materials.' Brooke then sent the top 5 cards of her deck (Dark Magician, Defender the Magical Knight, Synchro Striker Unit, Buster Blader, and Tempest, Dragon Ruler of Storms) to the graveyard.

'I banish Dark Magician and Buster Blader to fuse them together and Fusion Summon the mighty Dark Paladin (Atk:2900). I now activate it's ability, giving it 500 more Attack points for every Dragon in our graveyards (Atk:2900-3400). Dark Paladin, destroy Fortune Lady Earth.' "I activate Time Passage. This increases the Level of my Fortune Lady Earth by 3 until the End phase (Level:7-10, Atk:2800-4000).'

'Fine by me- I activate my face-down Battle Fusion. You'll regret doing what you just did, because now, my Dark Paladin gains all the Attack points of your Fortune Lady Earth (Atk:3400-7400).' Fortune Lady Earth flew towards Dark Paladin, which shot it out of the air with a blast of dark energy, destroying it (Jade LP:3800-400).

'I end my turn (Paladin Atk:7400-3400).'

Jade- 'My turn. I activate the Comeback Chance Spell card. This can't be activated unless your attack dealt me at least 2000 points of damage last turn. I can now draw 3 cards. And if they're all of the same type, I can draw an additional card. I draw. I activate Big Rebirth. By halving my Life points (Jade LP:400-200), I can revive a monster from my graveyard and it gains 2 Levels. I choose Fortune Lady Earth (Level:6-8, Atk:?-3200).'

'Not strong enough.' 'She will be... once I activate Rush Recklessly. This raises the Attack of my Fortune Lady Earth by 700 for the rest of my turn (Atk:3200-3900). When she gains Attack points, you lose Life points.' Fortune Lady Earth zapped Brooke again, reducing her Life points (Brooke LP:3400-3000).'

'Wow- you've got some fight in ya still.' 'When have you known me roll over?' 'Doesn't matter- I'm still gonna win.' 'Say that after I destroy Dark Paladin with Fortune Lady Earth.' Fortune Lady Earth zapped Dark Paladin with her wand, destroying it (Brooke LP:3000-2500). 'I end my turn with a face-down (Fortune Lady Earth Atk:3900-3200).'

Brooke- 'I draw. I summon Spell Striker (Atk:600). Now attack.' 'Why?' 'Spell Striker's ability allows it to attack you directly.' Spell Striker flew into the air, and bonked Jade on the head with it's wand, ending the duel (Jade LP:200-0000).

After the duel, Brooke and Jade shook hands. 'Your winner- Brooke Angharad.' Brooke and Jade then took a seat as me and Hannah got ready to duel though. Just as we did though, Hannah got a call. 'Hello? What- now? Ok, fine- I'll be over soon. Love you, bye.' 'What's that?' 'It's Phil- he needs help at the Shop. It's getting busier, and Maddy's having to take a break. I'm sorry about this Rio.' 'Don't worry- our duel can wait for another time. I've got to take the club meeting anyway.'

I then went to take the meeting, being introduced by Brogan. 'Renegades, please welcome the Interim President of the Renegades, Rio Kastle.' I then came out. 'Thanks for being here everyone. First thing's first, Blair is away for personal reasons, and Jodi is looking after Maddy, who is still unwell. I speak for everyone when I say that we hope Maddy is better soon.'

'I am informing you of the next scouting missions coming up. The first one is to Japan, and only senior members of the club are qualified to take it on. The second one is to Wales, and on the request of Maddy, at least one person involved in it must be a prospect. Volunteers for the Wales one, put your names down on the list near my office.'

'Does anyone have any questions? Astrid.' 'How many of us can go on the Wales trip?' 'The group size will be 5. That is so more ground can be covered quicker. I'd expect this to be right up your alley Astrid.' 'Yeah- it is.' 'Good. Anyway- anyone else? Taylor.' 'Are we allowed to go on this trip?' 'Yeah- you're members of the club, so you've got the same chance as anyone else as long as you sign up. I highly doubt all 3 of you would be going though.'

'Kris.' 'Why do you keep talking about what Maddy wants? You're in charge at the moment.' 'I am under orders from Maddy because she is the president. She has given me certain things to include in every meeting. I'm not pretending to be something I'm not. I am in charge of both units until Maddy returns.'

There wasn't any more questions. 'Right- people who want to sign up for the Wales Scouting, you have 48 hours to put your names down. After 48 hours, the board will be removed and no late entries will be accepted. Club dismissed.' Astrid then came up to me. 'You think I'll be on that trip?' 'I'll guarantee it. Just put your name down- with the memo I got on it, it sounds perfect for you.' 'Thanks. Any idea when Maddy's gonna be back?' 'Sooner the better. I can't keep running everything by myself.'

'I'll help how I can, but I'm no leader.' 'Thanks Astrid.' Hannah then found me. 'Been looking for you.' 'You have?' 'This scouting in Japan- can I see the details?' 'Sure.' I then showed her the plans for it. 'That's just 2 days after the WDC's annual WDC World Tour: Homecoming. The one in Japan. So I wanted to ask you something.'

'Yeah.' 'How do you feel about me and Phil doing it?' 'Really?' 'Yeah- we know Japan pretty well. What do you say?' 'Yeah- why not. I'll put your names down. Thanks.' 'No problem. If you need help here, just say.' 'Thanks.' 'By the way, been meaning to ask- how's Maddy doing?' 'Recovery's slow. Very slow. Which isn't helping her frame of mind. She's also in constant pain because she's refusing to take painkillers.'

'Why?' 'Emotionally scared from her previous addiction. I'll have to get in contact with her psychiatrist again.' 'She had a psychiatrist?' 'Briefly. She really needs it now though I reckon.' 'Why are you trying to persuade her to wear that corset?' 'I trust Sakura's advice. She knows what she's talking about, and she's not made a wrong call yet. Plus, it sounds reasonable.'

Astrid then let her hair down. 'If you want, I'll speak to Maddy later. See if that raises her spirits a bit.' 'She's been working in the Farm Shop for a while today.' 'Well that's a good sign. You looking forward to kicking Lukas' ass in Latvia?' 'Oh yeah, I am. You looking forward to it?' 'Yeah- duelling twice due to missing the first round. I'm up against Kieran and Lukas on the same day. Just don't soften him up too much for me. I want to beat him good myself.'

'You got it.' 'Nice to see you two getting on.' 'Thanks. I intend on beating Lukas, and then calling LFD out for a fight.' 'That's what Phil's doing as well.' 'I'll join him then. Seriously- we need to work together here. Besides- I don't like being made to look weak.' 'I get you. I'm coming back with you two if that's ok?' 'Feel free.'

When we got home, Maddy was stretched out. 'How you felling now?' 'Feel like shit still. Why can't I just be better?' 'I wish I knew.' 'It's so annoying being ill. I'm not gonna recover am I?' 'Meaning?' 'I'm not gonna recover- I'm not gonna be the champ still, everyone's gonna forget about me, and all my dreams and'

Astrid then came in. 'Who are you?' 'You know who I am Astrid' 'I don't. I don't recognise whoever you are, because you are not the Maddy I know. The Alpha I respect would not just give up- she'd do whatever it takes to get better. You're someone completely different to that- I respect my Alpha. I don't respect a wimp.'

Astrid then dragged Maddy up. 'What are you doing?' 'I don't know much about Wolfbloods, but I know that when you're unwell, you need nature. So you are camping with me tonight, and I'm not giving you the option.' 'Why though?' 'You'll understand in the morning. Trust me on this one.' 'Astrid's plans are absolutely crazy... they work though. Trust her Maddy.'

'Your take on this Dad?' 'Nothing to do with me. I agree with your mum though- Astrid's no idiot. And her idea makes sense. By the way Maddy, you've got Hannah instead of me tomorrow afternoon.' 'Why?' 'I'm meeting Rob- see what's going on with him. Meeting him at a bar me and Sean go to sometimes.'

Point of View- Phil

That night, Maddy and Astrid camped out like Astrid suggested. The next morning, Maddy came back in about 10. 'Morning.' 'Hi.' 'Feeling any better?' 'A bit- Astrid was definitely right.' 'Where is she anyway?' 'Shift in the Farm Shop- she decided to go in early.' 'Fancy getting out the house Maddy?' 'Yeah.' 'Why not come with me and Sean?'

'Sean's comin?' 'Yeah. We've not seen each other in a while, so I'm going round to his place in the centre of Manchester to pick him up.' 'Nice. Can we go to the base on the way down?' 'Sure, why?' 'Want to speak to Sakura.' 'Ok, sure.' After Maddy tied her hair back, we got going. When we got going to the base, we were met outside by Dylar and Callum.

'Alpha- we are glad to see you back.' 'Thanks Dylar. Don't worry about me though, worry about your job. You're good at it, both of you.' Maddy then went in, where she was immediately mobbed. 'Hey everyone- just a quick stop-off. I hear you're all behaving for Rio at the moment.' 'We are thank you. How is your recovery going?' 'Slow- I'll address that at the next meeting. First time I've been out since getting out of hospital. You know where Sakura is?'

'She just went out- she'll be back soon.' Just as that was said, Sakura arrived. 'Hi Maddy- great to see you out the house.' 'Can I have a word, just us two?' 'Sure.' They then went into Maddy's office to talk.

Point of View- Maddy

'So what might be the problem?' 'I've been thinking about your idea.' 'What- the corset?' 'Yeah. You still got it?' 'Yeah- I certainly do.' 'Could I try it out, just for a couple of days, see if it eases the pain?' 'Sure. You do know you can take painkillers- you're not going to get addicted to them just because you had a drug addiction once before.'

'That's the problem though- if it happened once, it's gonna happen again isn't it? I don't know that I can trust myself to not be addicted. I just... want all the pain to just go away. You really think this will work?' 'Yeah- I regularly recommend this to people I deal with who are suffering with rib injuries.' 'Thought you dealt with stuff on the battlefield.'

'No- just a trained army medic. I never said anything about actually working in the army.' 'Really?' 'Yeah- I was gonna apply to join the US army in California when I was offered a place in the club. If you don't mind me saying, you look awfully thin- have you been eating?' 'Not really gained my appetite back yet. I've probably not eaten a full meal in about 2 days. I've just been snacking on crisps mainly.'

'Could you just stand on the scales?' 'Sure.' 'What weight are you normally?' 'Don't usually way myself, but about 11-12 stone- I'm not exactly small.' Sakura then took a reading. 'And without your shoes on?' I then threw the shoes off and stood on the scales again. 'I've worked out one thing.' 'Go on.'

Sakura then smiled at me. 'You've got very heavy shoes. As for your weight, 11-12 stone normally?' 'Yeah.' 'Without your shoes, you're weighing in at 121lbs.' 'In stones?' 'I didn't know you'd lost that much weight- I'm going to speak to your Dad.' She then left, but I heard what she said.

'Phil, a moment please.' 'Sure- what's up?' 'Maddy's weight- she reckons she's normally 11-12 stone. Would you go along with that?' 'Yeah- I was thinking about 11¼ to 11½ personally, so her thought is about right I reckon. Why do you ask?' 'I thought she was looking a little thin, so I weighed her.' 'Go on.'

'Has Maddy been eating ok?' 'She's not really been having full meals- she's been eating small portions several times a day.' 'I'm worried about her- her weight's dropped to 121lbs.' 'You are kidding me.' 'No- that's approximately 8st9lbs.' 'I don't understand.' 'Hospital food isn't exactly nutritious. Even so, I'd like you to keep a close eye on her- that weight loss is troubling me a bit. How's she been feeling in herself?'

'That's a point- she's been really ill still- there's little sign of a recovery from her at the moment. Her mental state doesn't help.' 'Meaning?' 'It's something Hannah noticed really- she's a great judge of character, and she noticed that Maddy's not been as ambitious as normal- she seems to be giving up almost.'

'Want me to get in touch with Steve?' 'Who?' 'Dr. Steve Peters- Maddy's former councillor.' 'Oh yeah- thanks. Didn't know you had his details.' 'Known him several years- met him at the Tokyo Medical and Dental University when I was majoring there in Major Trauma and Battlefield Psychology. We got talking, and I briefly studied under him because I was struggling in the Psychology part. Hannah would be amazing at a Psychology course. But yeah- if you want, I'll speak to him.'

'Money?' 'I'll try and call upon a favour from him- see what he can to.' 'Cheers.' 'No issues there.' Kris and Astrid then came into the office. 'You do know that it's rude to eavesdrop?' 'Pardon?' 'Don't give me the puppy eyes- I know when you're listening in to Phil's conversation.' 'How?' 'Because your hair goes right back, and you start sweating.'

'You can see my sweat?' 'No- I can smell it. I thought Kris' new aftershave was bad.' 'You told me you liked it.' 'Oh the art of lying. Anyway- we want a word with you.' 'More like I do, and Astrid just wanted to show off that she can wear normal clothes. Stop moping around and get a grip.' 'I' 'Don't argue with me. When I had cancer, you were always there telling me I'd be fine. You gave me as much time off club duty as I needed. I'm grateful for that, because I don't do thanking people. But here I am now.'

'You encouraged Astrid to ask me out even though she didn't even know who I was- she didn't even know where Massachusetts was.' 'I still don't.' 'Astrid being my girlfriend is the best thing that ever happened to me. And it's down to you. You helped keep me going, and I want to help you now. Where's your fire?'

'I can't do this anymore- I'm out of fight.' 'Maddy Robinson-Cummings out of fight? What I said last night, I meant it- I want Maddy as a friend, not some whining little girl in an Alpha's body. If you want to seize the day and be the Alpha we all look up to, do it. If you don't, then quit the club- we don't want a passenger.'

Astrid then slapped me, bloody hard. I responded by baring my fangs at her. 'You... woke me up. Kris, I'll be needing your weights. And Astrid, I hope you can cook your good stuff quickly- I'm gonna be in Latvia. To address everyone.' 'Welcome back Maddy.' Astrid and Kris then hi-fived. 'Fancy a date tonight?' 'Nothing too soppy.' 'Me, soppy? I was thinking of going down to see the Regional duelling in the centre of town.'

I then went to see Dad. 'So Sakura, this corset- are you going to give it to me?' 'Yeah- just need to go and get it.' 'Thanks.' While Sakura was getting it, me and Dad talked. 'Sorry for being so awkward over everything recently.' 'It's fine- I get it, I really do.' 'Kris and Astrid made me realise how I was being. Hope you're not late for the meet-up.'

'He can wait.' Sakura then came back with a massive black corset. 'I'll lace it up for you. Don't be so worried though- nobody will be able to see it under a shirt.' 'Will it stop me transforming?' 'I'd love to tell you that it wouldn't stop you, but I don't actually know.' 'Dad, I've had a thought.' 'Go on.' 'Would N know?' 'N? Not heard from him in a while. I suppose it's worth a go. The only issue is that only Hannah knows how to summon him.'

'Is there any other way to find out?' 'Not unless you know where the Spellbook is.' 'No, sorry.' 'Not a problem. I'll phone her.' He then got his phone out. 'Hi sweetie.' 'Hi Hannah- wanted to ask you something.' 'Sure- hope I can help.' 'I'm sure you can. Do you know how to summon N?' 'What- Icaron's N?' 'Yeah.'

We then went over to the bar where Phil and Rob were meeting up. When they got there, Phil and Rob fist-bumped. 'What are those two doing here?' 'They wanted a quiet drink, so I offered to give them a lift.' 'Had to be this bar?' 'Sean's favourite- you know that.' 'Fine. What did you want.' 'I wanted to offer the proverbial olive branch. No hard feelings about what happened with Vector- I know about financial problems.'

'Fine.' 'Don't seem pleased to see me.' 'I'm here with some of my mates. Meet Chazz and Sledgehammer.' Chazz and Sledgehammer from LID then ambushed Phil, and started beating on him. Luckily, Reece and Joe were also in the bar, and hit back, leaving Chazz and Sledgehammer to run away. We then bailed out before Rob saw us again.

After the incident in the bar, me and Sean met up outside. 'Where's Phil?' 'Gone back to the car- he'll pick us up in a minute.' 'Tell you what Maddy- you are hot today.' 'Thanks. We were then interrupted by the engine roar from Dad's car. 'We'll resume this again.' 'Maybe.' He then pulled up. 'Jump in.' 'Sure.' Just then, Rob came running out, trying to tip the car over. So Sean punched him with a chain, and then kicked him in the balls, allowing us to get away. 'Everyone ok?' I just looked at Sean and replied. 'Yeah- I'm good.'
